Entering into polygamy has got to be one of the biggest risks any woman can take in her quest for marital happiness. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem Anas bin Malik (May ALLAH be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, "There are three qualities whoever has them, will taste the sweetness of eemaan: To love ALLAH and HIS Messenger (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) more than anyone else; to love a slave (of Allah) only for (the sake of) Allah; and to abhor returning to infidelity after ALLAH has saved him from it as he would abhor to be thrown into the fire (of Hell)". Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever wants to be heard of, Allah will make him be heard of, and whoever wants to be seen, Allah will display him.” [Sahih Muslim]. This hadith is a serious reminder to us to purify our intentions. ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) will give us what we desire: if it is fame we want, we will get it, if it is society’s praise we desire, it will be ours. But the utility of this fame and praise will end with our deaths and we will be humiliated by ALLAH to a larger gathering than we tiny human beings. There are guidelines on seeking permission to enter someone's home which are fixed and do not change in ISLAM. They include the following: 1. Not looking inside the house before permission to enter is given. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: It is not permissible for a Muslim to look inside any house until he has been given permission.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari in al-Adab al-Mufrad (1093). 2. Saying salaam before asking permission to enter. Allah says: “O you who believe! Our Lord, The Mighty ALLAH (GOD, in English) has forbidden eating pork in definitive terms and in all religious beliefs. ALLAH commanded in the holy Quran; O Muhammad, say to mankind: I find not in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be Maytah (a dead animal) or blood poured forth (by slaughtering or the like), or the flesh of swine (pork); for that surely, is impure or impious (unlawful) meat (of an animal) which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allaah (or has been slaughtered for idols, or on which Allaah’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering)” [al-An’aam 6:145]. The person who does not fear Allaah does not care where he earns his money or how he spends it; his only concern is to increase his bank balance, OR just earn money, even if it is haraam and ill-gotten by means of theft, bribery, extortion, forgery, selling haraam things, riba (usury), consuming an orphan’s wealth, earnings from haraam work like fortune-telling, immorality or singing, stealing from the Muslim treasury or public property, taking people’s money by coercion or high-pressure sales tactics, begging when one is not in need, etc. Then he buys food, clothing and transportation with this ill-gotten money, and builds or rents a house, and furnishes it, and fills his stomach with haraam food. Islamically, a dress is supposed to serve two purposes: 1. Covering the `Awrah (private parts) of the body as the CREATOR ALLAH commanded. 2. Serving the purpose of adornment and beautification to please ALLAH not HIS CREATION. In Reviewing the Qur’an, we will find that ALLAH, the Almighty, describes the dress of believers as “The Dress of Piety” or Libasut-Taqwa, and this exactly emphasizes the aforementioned two conditions, and stresses that such a dress should never be used for showing off. Almighty ALLAH says: “But the raiment of righteousness, that is the best.” (Al-`Araaf: 26). This is for both men and women but my reminder today is focusing on sisters. One of the basic arguments raised by non-Muslims, especially Christians, against Islam concerns the concept of salvation. They claim that in Christianity, one is saved by faith, whereas in Islam one must earn their salvation through good deeds. How do we answer that? The texts of the Qur'aan and Sunnah indicate that zina, alcohol and gambling are all major sins. Allah says “O you who believe! Among the most important means of warding off the danger of sihr(spiritual attack) before it happens is seeking protection regularly as prescribed in Islam, making du’aa’ and reciting prayers seeking refuge that are narrated in the Quran and from the Prophet sallallahu alaihe wassallam. These include: 1. Seeking refuge with Allah from the jinns(spiritual beings). Allah says in the Quran, “And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaytaan, then seek refuge with Allah. Verily, He is All-Hearer,  All-Knower”. [al-A’raaf 7:200]. Today we have indeed come to treat the Prayer (Salah) as something insignificant in our lives. Very often we hear some says, "I will start praying when the time comes." Others, specially the younger Muslims, do not find much comfort, and joy in their Prayers. Muharram is the first month of our new year 1440. Let's avoid argument about wishing, celebrating etc as the kuffar does. It's unnecessary as argument only creates hatred and division which is forbidden and serious. The word "Muharram" means "Forbidden from the root word Haraam."  Even before Islam, this month was always known as a scared month (al ashhur-al-hurum) in which all unlawful acts were forbidden, prominently the shedding of blood. Muharram can also mean “sacred”,concerning which it is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an: “Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. Many of those who do not have strong faith deliberately or mistakenly sit with people who are immoral and sinful like them just to avoid any criticism etc. They may even sit with those who attack the Sharee’ah and make fun of Islam than the people who adhere to it strictly. There is no doubt that this is a forbidden deed, one which could undermine a person’s belief. Allaah says in the Quran: “And when you see those who engage in a false conversation about Quran by mocking, stay away from them till they turn to another topic. THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Sabt, 28th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Saturday 8th September, 2018). HANGING PHOTOS IN OUR HOMES. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. There are many hadiths which speaks against this hanging of our photos or any animated drawings on the walls, on the tables and on social media. Lets check the following ahadith from Bukhari: Vol 8, Book 73. Good Manners And Form (Al-Adab). Hadith 130. Narrated by our mother 'Aaisha may Allah be pleased with her: The Prophet entered upon me while there was a curtain having pictures (of animals) in the house. His FACE GOT RED with anger, and then he got hold of the curtain and tore it into pieces. ALLAH says in the Quran; The dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs to HIM. HE creates whatever HE pleases. HE grants females to whomever HE pleases and males to whomever HE pleases , or grants them a mix of males and females, and causes whomever HE pleases to be barren. HE is All- Knowing, All-Powerful.(Quran 42 vrs 49-50). From the above verses we know that nothing happens without ALLAH'S authority.
