DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 25th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Monday, 1st July 2024). WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN QUR'AN AND KITAAB? WE KNOW ALLAH USES BOTH IN HIS MASSAGE FOR MANKIND AND JINN KIND. HOW DO THEY RELATE?. BismilLah.  In Yesterday's reminder, we studied about the wisdom behind ALLAH using Al-kitaab to refer to the Qur'an at some parts of the Quran.  Quran on the other hand comes from the word Qara'a which basically means to read or recite loud. So the Kitaab was revealed for us to recite it in dunya or on earth so basically what we recite is the Quran but the complete book and it's arrangements is what ALLAH (Al-Badi, The Incomparable, The Originator) termed as Al-Kitaab which ALLAH(An-Nur, The Light) wrote down to the 7th Heaven and was under the strong security guarding by special Angels as ALLAH (Al-Ghani, The All Rich, The Independent) says Qiraamim Barara, a surrounded book.  You may have noticed in the Quran that when ALLAH (Dhu-...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 24th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Sunday, 30th June 2024). WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN QUR'AN AND KITAAB? WE KNOW ALLAH USES BOTH IN HIS MASSAGE FOR MANKIND AND JINN KIND. HOW DO THEY RELATE?. BismilLah.  This is a bit long but very beneficial knowledge so don't miss reading it.  Understanding the Words Kitaab and Qur'an which are two popular names ALLAH (As-Sabur, The Patient, The Timeless) uses for HIS BOOK.  Kitaab comes from the Arabic word Kataba which means to write and at the time of the Prophet sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam or olden days they write on stones, woods, leafs etc, so they couldn't edit or change what they've written on these olden materials so ALLAH (Ar-Rashid,  ALLAH, The Guide, Infallible Teacher and Knower, using the word Kitaab has a profound reality or uniqueness of the QURAN which means Quran is something written down and no room for editing. We can't edit or change anything in the Qur'an. Ev...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 23rd day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Saturday, 29th June 2024). THE POWER OF DUA AS WEAPON FOR BELIEVERS. BismilLah.  It’s amazing to see how great Dua really is. In a Hadith narrated by Abu Hurayrah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “In the court of ALLAH, there is no greater thing than Dua” (Ibn Majah). There are many benefits of making Dua including: 1. The loss of arrogance - For someone that makes constant Dua, arrogance is something that is not among their characteristics because when one beseeches ALLAH, he is affirming his own powerlessness. 2. The doors of mercy are opened, Abdullah bin Umar narrated that the Prophet said, “For whoever the door of Dua opened, for him the doors of mercy are opened.” (Tirmidhi). There are lots of dua to study and use regular such as; "Laailaaha illaa Anta, Astaqhfiruka Wa atuubu ilaik" Meaning There is none worthy of worship except You ALLAH, I seek your forgiveness and I repent to...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 22nd day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Friday, 28th June 2024). DOES A WIFE WHO IS EMPLOYED HAVE TO PAY/SHARE THE HOUSEHOLD EXPENSES?. BismilLah.  This is a sensitive question to our modern marriages especially those of us living abroad. I will try to cover this topic base on Qur'an, Sunnah and Consensus of Muslim scholars without been bias towards the husband or wife in shaa ALLAH but please bear with me on the length.  Husband and wife should come to some agreement concerning this issue  and avoid any dispute concerning it. With regard to how that should be done, this depends on a number of things: 1. If the husband stipulated in the marriage contract that expenses are to be shared otherwise he will not let the wife work, then the Muslims are bound by their conditions, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “The Muslims are bound by their conditions, except for conditions which forbid something that is per...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 21st day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Thursday, 27th June 2024). VISITING THE PILGRIM TO CONGRATULATE THEM AFTER RETURNING FROM HAJJ Continues. BismilLah.  Organising a get together within the family or community to welcome and celebrate a successful return from Hajj is not a religious innovations.  These actions do not necessarily imply showing off. There is nothing wrong with those who come to congratulate the pilgrim on his safe return using whatever expressions they want, so long as they are permissible according to sharee’ah and indicate what is meant, such as saying “May ALLAH accept your worship” or “May ALLAH accept your Hajj”. May ALLAH accept the Hajj of all the hujjaaj and aid us to be among those who participate next year. Aameen.
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 20th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Wednesday, 26th June 2024). PARTIES AND VISITING THE PILGRIM TO CONGRATULATE THEM AFTER RETURNING FROM HAJJ. BismilLah.  As Muslims it's important to avoid anything that can create divisions and unnecessary arguments that can easily create hatred among the communities and even among relatives.  Let's note that to visit, congratulate and even organise welcome moderate welcome party for the pilgrim is permissible in Islam. Some do that as a custom and tradition and there is nothing wrong with that.  Custom and Tradition which are not an act of worship, cannot be disallowed on the grounds that the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) and his companions did not do it, because it is well known that the basic principle with regard to customs and traditions is that they are permissible, and the one who forbids them has to bring evidence.  There is nothing wrong with  honouring th...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 19th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Tuesday, 25th June 2024). THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT IS A FACT NOT THEORY. BismilLah.  Disbelievers may choose to believe it or not, death is a fact which they witness on daily basis and the day of judgement is also a fact. The Quran states that this worldly life is a preparation for the eternal life after death. But those who deny it become slaves of their passions and desires, making fun of virtuous and God-conscious persons. Such persons realize their folly only at the time of their death and wish to be given a further chance in the world but in vain. Their miserable state at the time of death, and the horror of the Day of Judgment, and the eternal bliss guaranteed to the sincere believers are very clearly and beautifully mentioned in the following verses of the Quran: ALLAH says; [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, “My Lord, send me back that I...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 18th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Monday, 24th June 2024). ATTAINING JANNAT IS NOT CHEAP SO LETS STRIVE FOR IT. BismilLah Paradise is expensive merchandise, and al-Firdaws al-Aa‘laa is the highest and best part of Paradise. No one reaches it except those whom ALLAH has singled out for more of HIS grace due to their efforts on earth to please HIM.  The people of al-Firdaws al-A‘alaa are the ones who hasten to do good as they are commanded. ALLAH, may HE be exalted, says; “And those foremost (in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,) will be foremost (in Paradise). These will be those nearest to ALLAH. In the Gardens of delight (Paradise)” [Quran 56:10-12].  Sheikh Ibn Katheer said:  Whoever competes in doing righteous deeds in this world and wins the contest, in the hereafter he will be among the first to attain reward and honour, f...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 17th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Sunday, 23rd June 2024). SEEKING GUIDANCE OF ALLAH MUST BE OUR PRIORITY. BismilLah.  We often forget that ALLAH alone can help us overcome the many problems we encounter in our daily lives. The secret is to keep ALLAH in mind, constantly, so that when any difficulty arises, we can address it confident in the knowledge that ALLAH is aware of our situation. We should never face any problem on our own; ALLAH is with us and HE inspires and authorises the solution. I remember reading a story about a young man who was keen to be a spiritual leader. But his Shaykh said to him, “Before you can hope to be a leader, you must answer this correctly. Imagine you are walking through the fields, when suddenly you are attacked by several sheepdogs at once. What will you do?” The man replied, “I will grab a stick or some stones to throw at them, and defend myself. His teacher smiled and said, “That’s not the answer. You ma...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 16th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Saturday, 22nd June 2024). PRAISING OURSELVES IS HARAAM AND DANGEROUS ATTRIBUTE. BismilLah.  Remembering the Greatness of ALLAH, The Almighty, and that Pride is one of HIS Attributes as such you dare compare yourself to OUR CREATOR. In a Hadeeth on the authority of Abu Hurayrah the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam reported that ALLAH The Almighty said that Pride, Glory and Greatness are among HIS Attributes which none of HIS CREATION shares with HIM. Thus, he who claims to possess such qualities, ALLAH will punish him and doom him to Hell. [In Saheeh Muslim]. Remembering man's origin and weakness. ALLAH Says (what means): HE created man from a sperm-drop; then at once he is a clear adversary [Quran 16:4]. Meaning you are nothing worth praising yourself regardless of what you've done.  Islam is a complete way of life and I'm sure all reading this knows that we are to say IN SHAA ALLAH (By the will o...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YawmulJumuat. 15th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Friday, 21st June 2024). THE SWEETNESS of FAITH is TO LOVE ALLAH, HIS Messenger, and the people. BismilLah.  The Prophet sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam,  said, “None will taste the sweetness of faith until he or she loves a person only for the sake of ALLAH, until he would rather be thrown in the fire than to return to unbelief, and until ALLAH and HIS Messenger are more beloved to him than anything else.”Sahih Bukhari 5694, Sahih Muslim 43.  We can only claim to love ALLAAH and HIS Messenger if we totally strive to obey the commandments of ALLAH and HIS Messenger. If you commit fornication (zina), steal, disrespect parents, work with alcoholic companies, treating our wives/husbands badly etc then we must fear that our eemaan or faith is weak and may even die without eemaan wa-eeyaazulLah. Please remember today is Friday. Let's not forget all the Friday etiquettes.  May ALLAH keep guiding us a...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 14th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Thursday, 20th June 2024). AN EVIL DISEASE OF THE HEART TO BE CAREFUL ABOUT. BismilLah.  As human beings, we have this dangerous disease of acting to please others instead of ALLAH. Imagine someone offering Salaat, as soon as he/she noticed someone watching, he or she tries to perfect it than how he was offering it, that's minor shirk if not major bcs it means you are trying to please the person looking at you than ALLAH looking at you live all the time.  This is the disease of ar-riyaa (show-off). It’s very difficult. Nobody can say, “I’m safe from ar-riyaa. The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam warned us about ar-riyaa, but what is the meaning of ar-riyaa? Ar-Riyaa is so dangerous that the Prophet was so concerned about it. He said, “Indeed the thing I fear for you the most is the minor shirk (associating partners with ALLAH).” We have minor shirk and major shirk. Major shirk is something like w...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Wednesday, 19th June 2024). HOW GOOD IS OUR EEMAAN? BismilLah.  Once a man asked the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), “What is Eeman (faith)?” He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) replied: “When your good deeds make you happy and your bad deeds make you sad, you have Eeman.” [by Imam Ahmad]. If you sin freely without feeling back but rather enjoy sinning then note that you are a Muslim by name (WaeezubilLah, ALLAH forbid). Firstly, what is good and what is bad? Suppose you immigrate to a country. Aren’t you bound to follow the rules in place there? Those were rules decided by human beings like you, but you are required to submit to them. You don’t have the right to live by rules you design for yourself that conflict with the system. For instance, if you decide to drive on the wrong side of the road, because you think that’s how it should be, it would be a disaster and you may be jailed right?  When ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 12th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Tuesday, 18th June 2024). HELPING EACH OTHER SINCERELY AS MUSLIMS. BismilLah Let’s remember that in the Quran, ALLAH the Beneficent regards Muslims as helpers, supporters, friends, and protectors of each other: ALLAH THE  “The believers, men and women, are Auliyaa’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another (Quran: At-Taubah, 9:71).  Our duty, therefore, is to be genuinely concerned about each other so that we can contribute to making life pleasant in this life and to help ourselves and others to prepare for life in the Hereafter. And to reach that end, we need to be vigilant in ensuring that Islamic teachings are implemented and followed correctly. This necessitates giving and taking correct advice and constructive criticism wherever required. None can claim to be more knowledgeable than the rest as such we must strive to advise each other sincerely purely for ALLAH's sake. Let'...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 11th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Monday, 17th June 2024).  REWARDS, DEEDS and INTENTIONS. THE BEAUTY of ISLAM. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for guiding us through these blessed days of Dhul Hijjah. May ALLAH accept it from us all. For those who managed to sacrifice we say Alhamdulillah and if you intended but couldn't sacrifice may ALLAH accept your intentions. May ALLAH accept the  eid and sacrifice of those offering it today and even tomorrow. The 10th to 13th of Dhul Hijjah are for Sacrifice and part of the eid so do not fast in any of them.  Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH peace and blessings be upon him, said that a person who intended to do a good deed, and didn’t do it, ALLAH (SWT) will write one good deed in their record, and if we actually do it, then ALLAH (SWT) will add 10 good deeds. That too is not the limit. The number may reach 700 times rewards and beyond subject to ALLAH’s will base on our intentions and si...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Sunday, 16th June 2024). SUNNAH WAY OF EIDUL ADHAR. EID MUBARAK TO YOU ALL. BismilLah.  The Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi wa sallam) delivering a khutbah saying: “The first thing to be done on this day (first day of Eid-ul-Adha) is to pray; and after returning from the prayer we slaughter our sacrifices (in the name of ALLAH), and whoever does so, he has acted according to our sunnah.  (Kitaabul-‘Eidayn, Bukhari).    Eid-ul-Adhar is celebrated from the 10th through 13th day of Dhul Hijjah, the 13th month of the lunar calendar. Meaning the sacrifice can be done on any of the 4 days but preferably on the 1st eid day which is today 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah.  On the way to the Eid prayer, while waiting for it and on the way back from the prayer one should recite the following takbeer as much as possible:  Allaahu akbar - Allaahu akbar – Laa ilaaha illallaahu – wal-laahu akbar Allaahu akb...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Saturday, 15th June 2024).  GOOD DEEDS ON THIS BLESSED DAY OF ARAFAH. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day. It's my hope that all those who could fast are Fasting be-iznilLah. May ALLAH accept it from us all and forgive our past, present and future shortcomings. Aameen.  After each salaat from the fajir of this morning 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah, it's recommended to recite the below Zikir up to the Asr of the 13th day of Dhul Hijjah.  Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, laa ilaaha ill-Allaah, WalLaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, wa Lillaahi’l-hamd (ALLAH is Most Great, ALLAH is Most Great, ALLAH is Most Great, there is none worthy of worship except ALLAH, ALLAH is Most Great, and all praise be to ALLAH).  As we fast today seeking for ALLAH'S forgiveness, let's recite a lot of Zikir starting from the above. Followed by the following; "Laa 'ilaaha 'illa...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 8th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Friday, 14th June 2024). ARE YOU READY FOR ARAFAH DAY TOMORROW SATURDAY?. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week. May ALLAH accept our fasting, our azkaar and all our good deeds and forgive our shortcomings. May ALLAH grant us tomorrow to be part of ARAFAH DAY blessings. Aameen.  This reminder is to also remind all those who can fast to make up their mind to fast tomorrow Saturday 9th day of Dhul Hijjah, the day of ARAFAH. It's a very important day to fast so please don't miss it.  Don't worry tomorrow been Saturday, you can still fast even though some scholars said no fasting on Saturday but this is a day of ARAFAH not our personal choice to fast but was encouraged and recommended by our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam. The prophet discouraged or even forbid us from choosing to fast on Saturday for our optional ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 7th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Thursday, 13th June 2024). HOW THE SACRIFICED ANIMAL'S MEAT SHOULD BE SHARED. BismilLah.  It is prescribed in the shariah for the person who offers the sacrifice to eat some of the meat, to give some as gifts and to give some in charity, as ALLAH says:  “Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor having a hard time” [al-Hajj 22:28]. “eat thereof, and feed the poor who does not ask (men), and the beggar who asks (men). Thus have ALLAH made them subject to you that you may be grateful” [al-Hajj 22:36]. It was narrated from Salamah ibn al-Akwa’ (may ALLAH be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “Eat some, give some to others and store some.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari. Giving some to others includes both giving gifts to the rich and giving charity to the poor.  It was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah (may ALLAH be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and b...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YawmArba'a. 6th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Wednesday, 12th June 2024). THE BEST ANIMALS FOR EIDUL ADHAR. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for guiding and blessing us to be part of these blessed days of the year. As we fast and do all kind of good deeds seeking to please ALLAH,  we must ensure we buy the right and best animals for the sacrifice.  Scholars have said that the best animals for the sacrifice are: camels, then cows, if sacrificed on behalf of one person; then sheep; then goats; then one-seventh of a camel; then one-seventh of a cow. The best animals are those which are fat and have more meat, and are physically complete and good looking. Any animal with any defects to any part of their  body must be avoided as ALLAH does not deserve anything with defects. Castrated animals are allowed to be used for eid. Female animals can also be used. A sheep must be above 6 months and above. Goat must be 1year and above. Cow must be 2years old a...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 5th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Tuesday, 11th June 2024). WHO SHOULD OFFER A SACRIFICE DURING EIDUL ADHAR. BismilLah.    The Masenger of ALLAH (sallallahu Alaihi wasallam) is reported to have said: “Whoever can afford to offer a sacrifice but does not do so, let him not approach our place for prayer. (Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Maajah; classed as saheeh by al-Haakim from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him).   Offering sacrifice during `Eid Al-Adha is regarded as waajib or mandatory according to Imam Abu Hanifah and as sunnah mu'akkadah or confirmed Sunnah according to other jurists for those who has regularly income or those WHO CAN AFFORD. 7 people can share one cow as their sacrifice, a sheep and goat are all permitted. So basically it's only compulsory for those who can afford so please don't ignore it if you can afford. It's not only for married couple please. Any Muslim adult who can affo...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 4th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Monday, 10th June 2024). ARAFAH DAY FALLS ON SATURDAY, SHOULD WE FAST OR NOT. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for HIS Blessings and Guidance. We pray that ALLAH keep guiding us all and forgive our shortcomings. It's my hope that majority are fasting today and will continue to fast as many as possible if not all till the Day of Eid be-iznilLah.  We all know that scholars have debated on this topic and I'm hopeful that many reading this reminder have come across those who are in favour and those who are not in favour of fasting on Saturdays in general. I have decided to write on this topic because of my previous stand in favour of not fasting of Saturdays BUT due majority sheikhs I have listened this week explaining that Arafah day is a special day to fast for those who are not performing Hajj, the hadith on not fasting on Saturdays even if authentic should NOT make fasting on Arafah day forbidden which me...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 3rd day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Sunday, 9th June 2024). ACTS OF WORSHIP IN THESE BLESSED DAYS OF DHUL HIJJAH. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for blessing and guiding us to be part of these blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah.  It's important to busy ourselves with  doing more good deeds in general, because good deeds are beloved by ALLAH and will bring a great reward from HIM. Those of us who could not make it to Hajj should occupy ourselves at this blessed time by worshipping ALLAH, reciting Qur’an, remembering ALLAH with more zikir, making supplication (du’aa’), giving charity, honouring our parents, upholding the ties of kinship by supporting our relatives for the upcoming eid, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, and other good deeds and acts of worship. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 2nd day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Saturday, 8th June 2024). SOME GOLDEN ACTS ON THESE BLESSED DAYS BEFORE EID. BismilLah.  The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah hold great religious significance. It is a special period in the annual Islamic (Hijri) calendar. A time when we Muslims are advised to increase our acts of goodness and spirituality to reap the rewards of the most blessed days.  Aside fasting as much as we can within the 8 days left before Eid, we must also strive to do the following; INCREASING DAILY PRAYERS (SALAH) On these blessed days, take this time to perfect and increase the daily practice of Salah. If you haven’t been praying the five fardh (obligatory) prayers – Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha on time, now is the time to start. Try to pray together with your friends and family, as there are more rewards for praying together. “Salat in congregation is twenty-seven times more meritorious than a Salat performed individua...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 1st day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Friday 7th June 2024). THE 10 DAYS OF GOLDEN BENEFITS. BismilLaah. AlhamdulilLah today is 1st day of Dhul Hijjah. We pray that ALLAH grant us the opportunity to be part of these great 10 days ahead. Praise be to ALLAH Who has created Time and has made some times better than others, some months and days and nights better than others, when rewards are multiplied many times, as a mercy towards HIS slaves. This encourages us to do more righteous deeds and make us more eager to worship HIM, so that we renew our efforts to gain a greater share of reward, prepare ourselves for death and offer ourselves in readiness for the Day of Judgement. We Muslim must understand the value of our lives, increase our worship of ALLAH and persist in doing good deeds until the moment of death. ALLAH says: "And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty." [al-Hijr 15:99] The mufassireen (commentators) said: ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 29th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1445AH (Thursday 6th June 2024). OFFERING OUR SALAAT ONTIME CONTINUES.  BismilLah.  Quran and Hadiths both greatly emphasize on offering salah on time. Everyone commits sins, however, ALLAH has provided, in prayer, a way to wipe out those sins. In Holy Quran ALLAH says: “And perform prayer… surely the good deeds remove the evils deeds.” (Quran 11:114). BUT it's not just about praying but praying on time as ALLAH says; “Woe to the worshippers who are unmindful of their prayer. Those who delay their prayer”.  (Quran 107:4-5). SubhaanAllah.  The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever keeps on performing Prayers (in its due time), it will be a light, a proof, and redemption for him on the Day of Judgment. Otherwise, he will be assembled with Pharaoh, Qarun Haman, and ‘Ubai Ibn Khalaf.” (Authenticated by Imam Ahmad).   In a nutshell, we should pray on time instead of making lam...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 28th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1445AH (Wednesday 5th June 2024). OFFERING OUR SALAAT ONTIME. BismilLah.  We all know there are five pillars of Islam; Salah is one and most important Pillar of Islam after Shahaadah. When someone prays he is known to be Muslim because he is worshipping ALLAH Almighty who is his creator and the Lord of everything in this world and Hereafter too and whoever chooses not to offer their 5 daily salaat has nullified his or her claim to be Muslim. Salah is an Arabic word and its basic meaning is to worship or praying. It’s obligatory on every Muslim to pray five times in a day and Most importantly ON TIME. In the Holy Quran, ALLAH Almighty says: “Guard strictly your (habit of) prayers… If you fear (salaat time elapsing), pray on foot, or riding. ”(Quran 2:238-9). Search for the commentary of this verse to understand the importance of praying on time.  Salah has many benefits one of them is that it’s the way of com...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 27th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1445AH (Tuesday 4th June 2024). THE IMPORTANCE of HALAAL SUSTENANCE. BismilLah.  There is no doubt that one of the obligations upon the Muslim is that he/she earns for him/herself and his family a pure and halal sustenance. Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "O People! ALLAH is al-Tayyib (Pure), and HE only accepts that which is pure! ALLAH has commanded the believers what HE has commanded the Messengers, for HE said, 'O Messengers! Eat from the pure foods, and do right,' and HE said, 'O you who believe! Eat from the pure and good foods ALLAH has given you.'" Then the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) mentioned a traveller on a long journey, who is dishevelled and dusty, and he stretches forth his hands to the sky, saying, "O my Lord! O my Lord!" - while his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he i...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 26th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1445AH (Monday 3rd June 2024). WHY WE REPEAT AR-RAHMAAN AND AR-RAHEEM IN OUR WORSHIP. BismilLah.  While we should be mindful of ALL of ALLAH’s names and attributes, we call ALLAH by HIS names Ar-Rahman and Ar-Raheem multiple times a day, and those are amongst the names ALLAH chose for us to repeat in every single prayer. What do these names of ALLAH mean? While both are often translated as the Most-Merciful, Ar-Rahman refers to ALLAH as the Owner of immense MERCY on HIS entire creation even to idol worshipers, while Ar-Raheem refers to ALLAH as the One who bestows HIS MERCY on HIS Servants who chooses to worship HIM. Throughout the day ALLAH reminds us of HIS immeasurable MERCY that HE grants us. If HE is telling us HE is so MERCIFUL, why wouldn’t we think of HIM in that way as well? We Muslims should have good thoughts and expectations of ALLAH so that when we err, we don’t fall into despair, and when we nee...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 25th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1445AH (Sunday 2nd June 2024). INVITATION FROM ALLAH TO HIS ULTIMATE REWARD. BismilLah.  ALLAH the Most High says: “ And ALLAH invites you to the Home of Peace and guides whoever HE wills to the Straight Path.” (Quran, 10:25) ALLAH invites you to the Home of Peace, Daar al-Salaam. Do you know what Daar al-Salaam is? It is Paradise where there is ultimate peace. ALLAH invites you to enter it subhanaAllah. Imagine how privileged you are that ALLAH HIMSELF invites you to HIS Paradise. But sadly many says no to this Divine invitation through deeds, abandoning Salah, rejecting the only way to Paradise Islam.  May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.
