DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 17th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Sunday, 23rd June 2024).

SEEKING GUIDANCE OF ALLAH MUST BE OUR PRIORITY. BismilLah.

We often forget that ALLAH alone can help us overcome the many problems we encounter in our daily lives. The secret is to keep ALLAH in mind, constantly, so that when any difficulty arises, we can address it confident in the knowledge that ALLAH is aware of our situation. We should never face any problem on our own; ALLAH is with us and HE inspires and authorises the solution.

I remember reading a story about a young man who was keen to be a spiritual leader. But his Shaykh said to him, “Before you can hope to be a leader, you must answer this correctly. Imagine you are walking through the fields, when suddenly you are attacked by several sheepdogs at once. What will you do?” The man replied, “I will grab a stick or some stones to throw at them, and defend myself. His teacher smiled and said, “That’s not the answer. You may hold off one or two dogs, but the others will get you. You cannot defend yourself against so many attacking you all at once. The wise answer is to call on the shepherd, call the dogs’ master, and ask him for help. He’ll call the dogs away and they will leave you unharmed.”

Brothers and Sisters, this is of course a deeply philosophical story with many layers of meaning. The dogs are the problems we face in life, every day. The Shepherd is ALLAH. Don’t try to defend yourself without ALLAH. You cannot win. Take ALLAH into your confidence. Make HIM part of your life, part of every waking and sleeping moment. ALLAH loves it when we seek HIS help in big and small matters. This is another dimension of Taqwa, being constantly mindful of ALLAH, filling our hearts with a sense of love fear and hope. We love ALLAH and hope for Paradise through HIS MERCY, we fear HIS punishment and we are ever hopeful of HIS forgiveness and Mercy. But we must do so with sincerity. Repent sincerely from the haraam job, haraam relationship, from the stealing, cheating etc. We can't succeed with disobedience to HIS rules and regulations in life. May ALLAH (Al-Hayyu, Al-Qayyuum, The Living, The Maintainer of Life) aid us in our efforts to rely only on HIM alone. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul ahad, 11th day of Shawwal (Sunday 23rd May 2021). * _ This may not be true story from a friend but very true and sad reality of our modern world _ * . BismilLah. “The house where I lived was about to be seized, just because I could not pay the rent. I tried to get help from all relatives I know but all saying they don't have so I posted my situation on Facebook looking for help, but all I could get is 2 "I like" and zero comment. So I sent 250 messages to my contact list requesting a loan of N5000. Unfortunately only 10 people responded. 6 out of 10 said they could not help me. And only 1 out of 4 who promised to help me and gave me some money less than I needed. The other 3 gave me no excuse and never answered my calls. In the end, I was ejected. I became homeless. I did not have a place to sleep. I walked in the dark looking for options and, unfortunately, a thief stole my empty purse with my ID. He was badly hit by a car in high speed as he fle...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 29th day of Rajab, 1445AH (Saturday, 10th February 2024). SOME PROPHETIC TEACHINGS BEFORE GOING TO BED. Bismillah. Before climbing onto bed anytime of the day or night, dust the bed thrice with the corner of any clothe. Clean your teeth with Miswaak if possible or with brush and paste. Be in a state of wuduu. Sleep on the right side of your body facing the Qibla with the right hand underneath the head like a pillow and with the knees slightly bent.  Recite Aayatul Kursy and the last three chapters (Al-Ikhlaas, Al-Falaq, An-Naas) of the Quran, dry blow air to your palms then wipe over your entire body as much as possible, beginning with your head and face and then all parts of the body, do this 3 times if you can or atleast once whenever you are feeling lazy like myself sometimes😊. It's sunnah from the Prophet Muhammed sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Don't forget to offer your witir Salaat before sleeping or offer your two rakaats sha...
