 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 20th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Wednesday, 26th June 2024). PARTIES AND VISITING THE PILGRIM TO CONGRATULATE THEM AFTER RETURNING FROM HAJJ. BismilLah.

As Muslims it's important to avoid anything that can create divisions and unnecessary arguments that can easily create hatred among the communities and even among relatives.

Let's note that to visit, congratulate and even organise welcome moderate welcome party for the pilgrim is permissible in Islam. Some do that as a custom and tradition and there is nothing wrong with that.

Custom and Tradition which are not an act of worship, cannot be disallowed on the grounds that the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) and his companions did not do it, because it is well known that the basic principle with regard to customs and traditions is that they are permissible, and the one who forbids them has to bring evidence.

There is nothing wrong with  honouring the pilgrims on their arrival, because this is a kind of congratulating them and encouraging/ motivating others to perform Hajj. But extravagance is what is forbidden, as ALLAH, the CREATOR, says;

“and waste not by extravagance. Verily, HE likes not Al‑Musrifoon (those who waste by extravagance)”Qur’an 6:141.

Again; “Verily, the spendthrifts are brothers of the Shayaateen (devils)” Qur’an 17:27.

But if it is an appropriate feast, with enough for those who are present or a little more, then there is nothing wrong with it from a shar’i point of view, and from a social point of view.

To be continued tomorrow in shaaALLAH. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and unite us as Muslims brotherhood. Aameen.

 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 30th day of Rajab 1446AH, Thursday. 30th Jan. 2025). MEANING OF ALLAH CREATING HUMANS IN HIS OWN IMAGE.  BismilLah. Unfortunately, other faiths have made a serious mistake in trying to compare The CREATOR, ALLAH Azzawajal with HIS Creation human beings in physical appearance, and that's blasphemy and serious error  Sheikh AbuAmina, in one of his articles, explained that, in Islam, we believe that all people have been created in the “image” of ALLAH Azzawajal. But what does this mean? ALLAH Azzawajal is the creator of everything, including all people. That people are in the “image of ALLAH Azzawajal” means they are in the form that HE, ALLAH Azzawajal has chosen and honored for them, not that they resemble ALLAH Azzawajal in physical appearance or share in the Divine Essence. Just as we say a righteous person is the “servant of ALLAH” and a mosque is the “house of ALLAH” as a way to honor them, likewise is it an added dignity for pe...
  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
