THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 19th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Thursday, 29th February 2024). 4 CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE continues. BismilLah.  Let's continue from our Reminder yesterday. Falling in category 2 may be the result of either of two things: That ALLAH loves you and therefore is testing your patience to increase your rewards; this is because HE says: And ALLAH will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient," Al Baqarah 155. Or that there are errors in your worship, sins that you commit unknowingly or sins that you aren't repenting from. Hence ALLAH is testing you to make you realize your mistake, as HE says: And ALLAH will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will repent." As Sajdah 21. This may actually be blessings in disguise if we can understand and make the right decisions by stepping up our repentan...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 18th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Wednesday, 28th February 2024). 4 CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE. BismilLah.  If you look into people today, you find them in 4 categories: let's study and strive to be among those striving to be successful.  1. Those who are obedient to ALLAH and happy with their life. 2. Those who are obedient to ALLAH but unhappy with their life. 3. Disobedient to ALLAH but happy with their life. 4. Disobedient to ALLAH and unhappy with their life. Falling in category 1 is normal because ALLAH says  Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a BELIEVER, ALLAH will surely cause him to live a good life, and ALLAH will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do." ( Al Nahl 97). May ALLAH aid us to be among this category of people. Aameen. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and increases us all in beneficial knowled...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 17th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Tuesday, 27th February 2024). FRIENDSHIP AND INFLUENCES. BismilLaah ALLAH the Exalted says in the Qur’an: “And (remember) the Day when the wrong-doer will bite his hands and say: Woe to me! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger. Woe to me! If only I had not taken so-so-and-so as a friend! He has led me astray from this Reminder (the Qur’an) after it had come to me. Satan is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need.” Qur’an 25:27-29. So take heed before the inevitable Day comes when we are called to account for our actions. ALLAH, the All-Wise also says: “Friends on that Day will be enemies to one another, except al-Muttaqoon (i.e. those who have Taqwa).” Qur’an 43:67.  The benefit of mixing with the righteous is immense, and it will, in shaa ALLAH, be even more obvious to us in the Hereafter. One of the early Muslims said that it is from ALLAH'S ’s blessings upon a youth when he turns...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 16th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Monday, 26th February 2024). A VIRTUE CALLED PATIENCE. BismilLah  Can our impatience about things we can not change, change anything? To be patient and let things run their course as they should is one of the secrets of happiness and contentment. Patience is one of the most important qualities demanded of those who claim to love ALLAH, as the degree of patience determines those who are sincere in their claim and those who are not. The degree of patience needed to endure hardship and difficulties in order to please the Beloved proves the sincerity of one’s love. Many claim to love ALLAH, but when ALLAH tests them with hardship, they forget the true essence of love. No one can adhere to the love of ALLAH except those who are patient and persevering. If it were not for the test of hardship and sincerity, there would be no proof of the sincerity of a person’s love for ALLAH.  The one whose love of A...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 15th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Sunday, 25th February 2024). ACTIONS THAT CARRIES THE REWARD of HAJJ FOR THOSE WHO CANT AFFORD TO PERFORM HAJJ continues  BismilLaah Let's continue with our reminder yesterday. Since Hajj is among the most virtuous deeds in Islam, and not everyone can afford it (especially on a continuous basis) ALLAH Ta’ala has attached the reward of optional Hajj to certain other deeds for the benefit of all especially the poor.  The Prophet Mohammed (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: “One who purifies himself (i.e, makes wudu) and leaves his home to attend the Fard Salah in congregation receives the reward of a Haji in the state of Ihram, (Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 559).  Abdullah ibn ‘Amr (radiyallahu ’anhuma) reported That Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: “He who recites Subhanallah 100 times in the morning and another 100 times in the evening is like one who performed Hajj (Sunan Tirmidhi, H...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 14th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Saturday, 24th February 2024). ACTIONS THAT CARRIES THE REWARD of HAJJ FOR THOSE WHO CANT AFFORD TO PERFORM HAJJ  BismilLaah Nothing of course can equal actually performing the Hajj, Umrah and worshipping ALLAH in those blessed places. However, since ALLAH knows that many people long to make Hajj and Umra every year but are unable to do so out of HIS generosity HE made the reward for certain actions similar to the reward of a supererogatory Hajj or Umra especially for those who cannot perform Hajj and Umrah so do not use any wrong income to Hajj or Umrah. The below act can earn us rewards similar to the rewards of Hajj and Umrah.  Remembering ALLAH from Fajr until Ishraq. The Messenger of ALLAH (may ALLAH bless him and grant him peace) said: “Whoever who prays Subh (Fajr) in congregation and then sits in the place where he prayed remembering ALLAH (Through any zikir) until the sun rises and then pr...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 13th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Friday, 23rd February 2024). THE REVELATION OF THE QUR'AN BROUGHT BOTH GOOD NEWS AND WARNINGS  BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah, for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week.  ALLAH praises HIS Holy SELF in 18:1 as follows; All praise is due to ALLAH, WHO has sent down to HIS servant the Book and has not placed therein any crookedness. ALLAH, praises HIS Holy Self at the beginning and end of matters, for HE is the One to be praised in all circumstances, all praise and thanks be to HIM, in the beginning and in the end. HE praises HIMSELF for revealing HIS Mighty Book to His Noble Messenger Muhammad, which is the greatest blessing that ALLAH has granted the people of this earth. Through the Qur'an, HE brings us out of the darkness into light. HE has made it a Book that is st...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 12th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Thursday, 22nd February 2024). THE CORRECT AND COMPREHENSIVE MEANING OF ISLAAM continues. BismilLah.  The Quran addresses the believers and their neighbors from among the People of the Book who were arguing with them about the change of the direction of Qibla in the following verse: "It is not righteousness that you turn your faces toward the East or the West, but righteous is he who believes in ALLAH and the Last Day and the Angels and the Book and the Prophets, and gives his beloved money to his relatives and the orphans and the needy and for the ransoming of captives and who observes prayer and pays the poor-due; and those who fulfill their promises when they have made one, and the patient in poverty and affliction and the steadfast in time of war; it is those who have proved truthful and it is those who are the God-fearing." (2:177).  The deeds in the above verse are the deeds of righteousnes...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 11th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Wednesday, 21st February 2024). THE CORRECT AND COMPREHENSIVE MEANING OF ISLAAM continues. BismilLah.  The concept of worship in Islaam is misunderstood by many people, including some Muslims. Worship is commonly taken to mean performing ritualistic acts such as prayers, fasting, charity, etc. This limited understanding of worship is only one part of the meaning of worship in Islaam. That is why the traditional definition of worship in Islaam is a comprehensive definition that includes almost everything in any individual's activities. The definition goes something like this: "Worship is an all-inclusive term for all that ALLAH loves of external and internal sayings and actions of a person." In other words, worship is everything one says or does for the pleasure of ALLAH. This, of course, includes rituals as well as beliefs, social activities, and personal contributions to the welfare of one'...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 10th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Tuesday, 20th February 2024). THE CORRECT AND COMPREHENSIVE MEANING OF ISLAAM. BismilLah.  Unfortunately, when you ask most Muslims the meaning of Islaam; some often quote a simple response to mean PEACE. No, please, the meaning of Islam is not just PEACE. In actual fact, the short meaning of Islaam is SUBMISSION, and these two meanings are mutilated definition of Islaam. The comprehensive definition of Islaam is THE PEACE WE ACQUIRE WHEN WE SUBMIT TO THE WILL OR COMMANDS OF THE CREATOR, ALLAH. This means we can not submit to our tradition, culture, our own desires, our jobs, relationships, or to anything but to ALLAH'S commands. Those who submit and surrender to ALLAH’S commands are called MUSLIMS that's why ALLAH referred to all Past Prophets and Messengers such as Abraham, Moses, Jacob, Joseph,  Jesus peace be upon them all as Muslims in the Quran because they all submitted to the commands...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 9th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Monday, 19th February 2024). LET'S SPEAK WITH CARE. BismilLah.  As Ramadan approaches, let's strive to change our complete ways of life, including how we speak to others, etc. We must always be wary of the words that slip out of our mouths. ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) has appointed angels to record the deeds, both good and bad, of the children of Aadam (alaihis salam). These are the angels referred to in the Ayaat: “But verily, over you (are appointed angels) to watch you, Kiraaman Kaatibeen, writing down. They know all that you do.” [Quran 82:10-12]. ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) says: “(Remember) that the two receivers (recording Angels), one sitting on the right and one on the left. Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it).” [Quran 50:17-18]. Ibn Katheer may ALLAH  be pleased with him mentioned that Imaam Ahmad used to moan when he was sick. Then he heard...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YawmulAhad. 8th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Sunday, 18th February 2024). RAMADHAN APPROACHING, ARE YOU PREPARING?  BismilLah.  Ramadhan is an incredible opportunity that we shouldn’t lose out on. It is a month full of enormous spiritual wealth and reward. However, many of us often suffer from a lack of productivity during Ramadhan and not making the most of the special blessed month.  With Ramadhan starting a few weeks ahead in shaa ALLAH, let's strive to welcome it with piety and sincerity, hoping to gain more rewards and forgiveness from it.  If you still owe any days on last year's Ramadhan please fast for it before this one arrive but if for some reason you can't fast, try to fast as much as you can this year and start paying for missed days after this Ramadhan. For those who can't fast at all due to old age and permanent illness, please feed the poor each day with full meal or give the equivalent amount that can feed the poor all...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 7th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Saturday, 17th February 2024). Brotherhood/ sisterhood in Islam. BismilLah.  ALLAH says: "The Believers are but a single brotherhood . . .Qur'an 49:10). The brotherhood of faith is the strongest of bonds between hearts and minds. It comes as no surprise to see that Muslim brothers and sisters enjoy a strong, enduring relationship that is based on love for the sake of ALLAH (SWT), which is the noblest and purest form of love between human beings. This is a love which is untainted by any worldly interest or ulterior motive.  It is the love in which Muslim men and women find the sweetness of faith: "There are three things that whoever attains them will find the sweetness of faith: if ALLAH (SWT) and HIS Messenger are dearer to him than anyone or anything else; if he loves a person solely for the sake of ALLAH (SWT); and if he would hate to return to kufr after ALLAH (SWT) has rescued him from it, as mu...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YawmulJumuat. 6th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Friday, 16th February 2024). JUMUAT KHUTBAH. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum WarahmatulLah. AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day.  ALLAH commanded the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam in Qur'an 18:110 to say to Mankind, "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your LORD is ONE. So whoever would hope for the meeting with his LORD - let him do RIGHTEOUS WORK (in accordance with the prescribed laws of ALLAH,) and NOT ASSOCIATE in the worship of his Lord anyone." ALLAHU AKBAR.  This is what is meant by seeking the pleasure of ALLAH alone with no associate or partner. These are the two basic features of acceptable deeds: their intent is for the sake of ALLAH alone, and are done in accordance with the way of the Messenger of ALLAH. Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Sa`id bin Abi Fadalah Al-Ansari, who was one of the Companions, said: "I h...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 5th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Thursday, 15th February 2024). GOOD CHARACTER IS PART OF OUR IDENTITY AS SERVANTS OF ALLAH. BismilLah.  It is upon us as individuals, to examine the shortcomings in our character, and to then seek to improve them, modeling ourselves upon the character of the last of the Prophets and Messengers, and their leader, Muhammad (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), aspiring also for the excellence which he mentioned in his saying: "I am a guarantor for a house on the outskirts of Paradise for whosoever leaves off arguing, even if he is in the right; and a house in the center of Paradise for whosoever abandons falsehood, even when joking; and a house in the upper-most part of Paradise for whosoever makes his character good." [Related by Aboo Daawood (no.4800) and al-Bayhaqee (10/249), from Aboo Umaamah (radiyallaahu ‘anhu). It was authenticated by al-Albaanee in as-Saheehah (no.273). As we fast in these blessed da...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 4th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Wednesday, 14th February 2024). EXPIATION FOR TRANSGRESSION AGAINST RIGHTS OF OTHERS. Bismillah.  We all know that ALLAH forgives all sins if we sincerely regret and seek forgiveness. Today's reminders will focus on sins against others, which we all know ALLAH does not forgive unless those we offended forgive us.  With regard to sins that have to do with the rights of other people, they can only be expiated by repenting from them. One of the conditions of repenting from them is restoring the rights of those who have been wronged.  Imam Muslim narrated from ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘As (may ALLAH be pleased with him) that the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “The martyr will be forgiven for all his sins except debt.” Al-Nawawi.  The words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) “except debt” draw attention to all rights owed to other peo...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 3rd day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Tuesday, 13th February 2024). FASTING TO COVER PREVIOUS MISSED RAMADAN FASTING. BismilLahir.  Scholars agree that whoever did not fast some days of Ramadaan has to make up those days before the next Ramadaan whenever possible, including mothers who were sick during pregnancy and breastfeeding.  They quoted as evidence for that the hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari (1950) and Muslim (1146) from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) who said: “I used to have fasts that I still owed from Ramadaan, and I could not make them up until Sha’abaan, and that was because of the position of the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) [as a husband].”  ALLAH says “And whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Sawm (fasts) must be made up] from other days”[al-Baqarah 2:185]  Please note that Pregnancy or Breastfeeding is not an excu...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 2nd day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Monday, 12th February 2024). BE POSITIVE ALL THE TIME AND STOP THINKING NEGATIVE. BismilLaah. The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ Whoever believes in ALLAH and the Last Day, let him speak goodness or remain silent. Sometimes, Satan will throw evil suggestions into our minds. These suggestions have no power over us unless we choose to act on them. If we follow an evil or negative train of thought, then it will lead us to a terrible end. Thus, when we find ourselves caught up in a bad line of thinking, we need to immediately replace these negative thoughts with positive inward statements to cancel the effects by reciting zikir or seeking protection from ALLAH saying AuuzubilLah minash-sheitaanir rajeem. The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: وَأَتْبِعْ السَ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 1st day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Sunday, 11th February 2024). RAMADHAN PREPARATIONS IN SHA'ABAAN. BismilLah.  The Arrival of the Sha’baan moon brings with it numerous blessings. Just as a farmer prepares for a fruitful harvest by harrowing his acreage so that the soil may readily retain water; in contrast, our souls are geared by the presence of such blessings in Sha’abaan effectively preparing us for a fruitful and completely advantageous Ramadan.  The month of Sha’abaan is one of the meritorious months in the Islamic calendar and it is reported in an authentic hadith that the Holy Prophet (sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to fast most days in this month. Although these fasts are not obligatory, those of us who fast Mondays, Thursday, and the 3 white days each month should continue in preparation for Ramadan. Those who owe anydays from previous Ramadhan should strive to fast them before next Ramadhan.  May ALLAH (Azza wa Jal,...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 29th day of Rajab, 1445AH (Saturday, 10th February 2024). SOME PROPHETIC TEACHINGS BEFORE GOING TO BED. Bismillah. Before climbing onto bed anytime of the day or night, dust the bed thrice with the corner of any clothe. Clean your teeth with Miswaak if possible or with brush and paste. Be in a state of wuduu. Sleep on the right side of your body facing the Qibla with the right hand underneath the head like a pillow and with the knees slightly bent.  Recite Aayatul Kursy and the last three chapters (Al-Ikhlaas, Al-Falaq, An-Naas) of the Quran, dry blow air to your palms then wipe over your entire body as much as possible, beginning with your head and face and then all parts of the body, do this 3 times if you can or atleast once whenever you are feeling lazy like myself sometimes😊. It's sunnah from the Prophet Muhammed sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Don't forget to offer your witir Salaat before sleeping or offer your two rakaats sha...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 28th day of Rajab, 1445AH (Friday, 9th February 2024). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah. AlhamdulilLah, for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week.  Ibn Abbas may ALLAH be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: عَلِّمُوا وَيَسِّرُوا وَلَا تُعَسِّرُوا وَإِذَا غَضِبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْكُتْ Teach others, make things easy, and do not make things difficult. When one of you is angry, he should remain silent. Musnad Ahmad 2137. In fact, such tolerance and patience is a characteristic of true faith in Allah, good manners, and upright character. Ubaida ibn As-Samit reported: A man came to the Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “O Prophet of ALLAH, which deed is best?” The Prophet said: الْإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَتَصْدِيقٌ بِهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِهِ Faith and belief in ALLAH and striving in his cause. The man said, “O Me...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 27th day of Rajab, 1445AH (Thursday, 8th February 2024). SOME WILL BE RAISED BLIND ON JUDGEMENT DAY. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be among those who are alive to renew our relationship with ALLAH. I hope many are fasting today. Yesterday we reminded ourselves about the need to ensure we maintain our good relationship with the Quran and sunnah else ALLAH will raise those who reject or ignore their duties blind on judgement day. Lets continue on what ALLAH says in  Qur'an 20:125 قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرۡتَنِىٓ أَعۡمَىٰ وَقَدۡ كُنتُ بَصِيرًا  The people who are raised blind on judgement day will say: O my Lord! Why have you raised me up blind while I had sight (before) on earth?.  قَالَ كَذَلِكَ أَتَتْكَ ايَاتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا وَكَذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ تُنسَى ALLAH will say: You deserve this as Our Aayat came unto you, but you disregarded them, and so this Day, you will be neglected. Meaning, "W...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 25th day of Rajab, 1445AH (Tuesday, 6th February 2024). WHOEVER TURNS AWAY FROM THE COMMANDS OF ALLAH WILL DEFINITELY FACE HARDSHIP ON EARTH AND WILL BE AMONG THE PEOPLE OF THE HELL FIRE. BismilLah. But whosoever turns away from MY Reminder, meaning, "Whoever opposes  ALLAH’S command and what ALLAH have revealed to HIS Messenger, then he has turned away from it, neglected it and taken his or her guidance from other than it." فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا verily, for him is a life of hardship, meaning his life will be hard in this world. He will have no tranquillity and no expanding of his breast (ease). Rather, his chest will be constrained and in difficulty due to his misguidance. Even if he appears to be in comfort outwardly and he wears whatever he likes, eats whatever he likes, a...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 25th day of Rajab, 1445AH (Tuesday, 6th February 2024). MEANING OF TEST AND TRIALS FROM ALLAAH continues. BismilLah. Let's continue with our reminder yesterday. ALLAAH Says: “*_And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship ME_*” [Qur’an 51:56]: What does this verse mean, “except to worship ME?”: it broadly means so that I may enjoin on them that they should worship ME and I will test them; that is, I will test them with religious duties, then I will repay them for their deeds: if their deeds are good, then the outcome will be good, and if their deeds are evil, then the outcome will be bad. This is a choice ALLAH had offered us, and HE already knows who will choose to obey or not and wrote it down in advance. To ALLAH, our lifestyle is like a review of a football match that has already been played and been recorded. The only reason why some scholars say that this is what the verse means is because this is indicated by m...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 23rd day of Rajab, 1445AH (Sunday, 4th February 2024). MEANING OF TEST AND TRIALS FROM ALLAAH. BismilLah. Tests and Trials include all the affairs and deeds of the son of Aadam (Mankind), and all the details of his life, for his life is a test, his good health is a test, his poor health is a test, his happiness is a test, his wealth is a test, his provision is a test, the environment in which he lives is a test, and his knowledge is a test. In all of that, ALLAH, may HE be exalted, is testing this man and his behaviour to see whether he will follow the path of righteousness or the path of evildoing, whether he will obey the Most Gracious or will obey the Shaytaan. Hence, ALLAH, may HE be glorified and exalted, says (to the nearest meaning): “[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and HE is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving”[al-Mulk 67:2]. “Had ALLAH willed, HE would have made you one nation [un...

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 22nd day of Rajab, 1445AH (Saturday, 3rd February 2024). MEANING OF AQIQAH ON THE 7TH DAY. BismilLah.  Unfortunately, the majority of us were raised in communities where aqiqah on 7th day was and is still considered by some as the day the child was born.  This means that if a child is born on Monday,  some slaughter the following Monday, which is not the correct understanding of the sunnah even though there is nothing wrong with that to argue about. The reason for this topic today is to avoid unnecessary arguments on topics that divide us if not obligatory because the division is haraam. The Messenger of ALLAH (blessings and peace of ALLAH be upon him) said: “Every child is in pledge for his ‘aqiqah, which MAY be sacrificed for him on the seventh day, and he should be given a name and his head should be shaved.” Narrated by at-Tirmidhi (1522), an-Nasa’i (4220), and Abu Dawud (2838).  Scholars have said: The words “whic...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 21st day of Rajab, 1445AH (Friday, 2nd February 2024). HOW TO REPAIR OUR WEAK AND BROKEN RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR CREATOR. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week.  The most effective way is to learn or study the Qur'an. Recite it regularly and ponder on the meanings. Tranquillity then descends, and our hearts become soft and re-establish its connection to it Creator. To get optimum benefits, remind yourself that ALLAH is speaking to you in the Quran. People are described in different categories in the Quran; think of which one you find yourself in. If you can't recite or understand the Quran, please  start learning how to recite it. You should also try listening to tafseer regularly to know what your creator wants from you and for you.  Realize the greatness of ALLAH. Whatever is happening to you, good or bad, is by the permission of ALLAH as a trial or test o...
