THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 28th day of Rajab, 1445AH (Friday, 9th February 2024).

TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.

AlhamdulilLah, for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week.

Ibn Abbas may ALLAH be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

عَلِّمُوا وَيَسِّرُوا وَلَا تُعَسِّرُوا وَإِذَا غَضِبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْكُتْ

Teach others, make things easy, and do not make things difficult. When one of you is angry, he should remain silent. Musnad Ahmad 2137. In fact, such tolerance and patience is a characteristic of true faith in Allah, good manners, and upright character.

Ubaida ibn As-Samit reported: A man came to the Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “O Prophet of ALLAH, which deed is best?” The Prophet said:

الْإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَتَصْدِيقٌ بِهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِهِ

Faith and belief in ALLAH and striving in his cause.

The man said, “O Messenger of ALLAH, I want something easier than that.” The Prophet said:

السَّمَاحَةُ وَالصَّبْرُ

Behave with tolerance and patience. Musnad Ahmad 22210, Grade: Sahih.

In particular, the Prophet told us about the virtues of tolerance in business transactions and ordinary interactions with people. Business can often be a stressful activity, especially when dealing with rude and immoral people, but the Prophet told us that those who are tolerant will go to Paradise.

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

رَحِمَ اللَّهُ رَجُلًا سَمْحًا إِذَا بَاعَ وَإِذَا اشْتَرَى وَإِذَا اقْتَضَى

May ALLAH have mercy on a man who is tolerant when selling, buying, and seeking repayment. Sahih Bukhari 1970, Grade: Sahih. May ALLAH increase us in Patience and Tolerance. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
