THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad. 18th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Sunday 31st January 2021). MAKE A SINCERE BELIEVER YOUR CLOSED FRIEND. BismilLah.  Instead of making friends with the misguided ones we should befriend the righteous and treat the rest in a gracious and just manner. Staying at sufficient distance is necessary, yet treating everybody in a noble and kind manner is required. We should have only good practising Muslims as our close friends. ALLAH the Exalted says in the Qur’an: “And (remember) the Day when the wrong-doer will bite their hands and say: Woe to me! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger. Woe to me! If only I had not taken so- and-so as a friend! He/she has led me astray from this Reminder (the Qur’an) after it had come to me. And Satan is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need.” Qur’an 25:27-29. Meaning satan after deceiving you will laugh at you and rubbish your claim against him on judgement day.  Be wise and take heed befo...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 16th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Friday 29th January 2021). FRIDAY IS HERE AGAIN WITH US, LET'S MAKE GOOD USE OF IT. BismilLah. ALLAH The Almighty says; "O believers, when the call is proclaimed for the prayer on Friday or when it's time for Jumuat, come to the remembrance of ALLAH and leave off business, that is better for you if you but did know."Al-Quran 62:9.  Summary of Ghusul(pure Islamic bath) before going to Jumuat. Note that sisters can go to jumuat as well but its optional for them. First, the Muslim should make their intentions for purification; just make up your mind that you are going to take your ghusul for jumuat that’s all. You can first take your normal bath to clean any dirt or first wash ur private parts then make wudu like the wudu done for prayer, pour water from your head to wash your right side, then the left side. Make sure your entire body is washed properly. It is also reported in the sunnah that the...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis. 15th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Thursday 28th January 2021). BE POSITIVE ALL THE TIME AND AVOID ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT CONCERN YOU OR CAN BENEFIT YOU OR OTHERS. BismilLaahir. Not all thoughts about the world are evil. Thinking about something Allah blessed us with in the world is good. And we have a duty to take care of our worldly affairs, meet our work obligations, pay our bills, fulfill our trusts, and so on. We should think about these things in so far as they are necessary and beneficial. For example, we may need to think about how we are going to complete a work project. But perhaps at work someone said a mean word to us or did something to annoy us. If we constantly dwell upon that negative interaction, it will only cause harm to us and produce no benefit. It is an unnecessary worldly thought and should be dismissed. In fact, a step on the road to excellence in Islam is learning to think about only those things that should concern...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arba'a. 14th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 27th January 2021). REFUTING LIES ABOUT ISLAM ON SLAVE GIRLS/CONCUBINES. BismilLah It is true that a lot of people including some ignorant Muslims push this subject ‘under the rug’ and do not understand it or are sometimes ashamed of this concept. That is because, today’s society and behavior is absolutely different from the conditions prevalent over 1400 years ago at the time of Revelation of the Quran. There is no place on earth where this concept is practiced today openly, thus to really understand the concept in its entirety, we must try to imagine the times of the Revelation of the Glorious Quran. As a Muslim, it's compulsory to learn about Islam to at least explain to non Muslims about misconceptions but to speak against or dislike something about Islam without been bothered to learn shows our high level of ignorance.  Since time immemorial, slavery was an accepted practice; thus it was n...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ath-thalaatha 13th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Tuesday 26th January 2021). SEEKING KNOWLEDGE BEFORE ANY ACTS OF WORSHIP. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Imam Bukhari may ALLAH  be pleased with him wrote a chapter heading "Knowledge comes before Statements and Actions". It is obligatory upon us not to act except with knowledge, and not worship ALLAAH except with knowledge, so we do not worship ALLAAH Subhanahu any how, as we wish or following desires. If you don't know anything especially when it comes to acts of worship then please always ask students of knowledge around you so that we can worship with knowledge without wasting our time.  We know ALLAH mentioned in the Qur'an in Suuratul Ankaboot verse 45 going that salaat alone should be able to stop us from committing zina and all wrong ways of life if we perform it properly, so imagine your salaat doesn't stop you from fornication, stealing, gambling etc, it basically means your s...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ithnayn 12th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Monday 25th January 2021). Meaning and Applying Istiqaamah  Bismillah. Istiqaamah is often translated to mean ‘uprightness, steadfastness and correctness.’ It comes from the root word قام (qaama) meaning ‘to rise’ or ‘to stand upright’ and from this we derive words like مستقيم(mustaqeem) as in ‘Siraat al-Mustaqeem’ (Straight Path). For the believer, Istiqaamah is a virtue that cannot be done without. It’s a quality that we continually strive to attain although we may fail at times. In this age where fitaan(tribulations) have become widespread and open sins are the norm, many people have lost the istiqaamah they once had in them – the strength to stay upon the straight path. Some tips on how to have istiqaamah: 1) Have a strong relationship with ALLAH: The best way is with HIS Wahi (revelation), the Qur’an. Ibn Taymiyyah said, “If you want to taste the sweetness of emaan, then upon you is the Book of ALLA...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul ahad 11th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Sunday 24th January 2021). Why SMOKING is HARAAM according to Quran,  Hadith and Concensus of Scholars which are the only 3 sources of guidance in Islam. BismilLah.  Islam is a Revelation from ALLAH with a complete code of life. It tells what is good and what is evil: ALLAH says in the Holy Quran: And ALLAH HAS shown humanity the two ways (good and evil). (Quran 90/10)  HE allows them all that is good and lawful, and prohibits them as unlawful all that is evil (things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, drinks, etc.). (Quran 7/157) So, is smoking (cigarettes, pipes, wee etc.) evil or not? Let us examine its effects: Smoking is a killer: causes lung-cancer, lung-tuberculosis and heart diseases. ALLAH says: And do not kill yourselves. (Quran 4/29). He also says: And do not throw yourselves into destruction. (Quran 2/195) These verses are sufficient to make smoking of wee etc Haram. Smoking is a wasti...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 10th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 23rd January 2021). PURIFICATION OF THE HEART. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem.  As human beings ALLAH has given us the power of choice to act good or bad that is the reason why we are the best of ALLAH'S creations and we must take as much advantage of that blessing as we can! THERE are creations such as Angels  who worship ALLAH because that is their job, but we worship ALLAH by choice to test us similarly to going to school by choice to be tested at the end of some years. You can go to school for 3 years but within 2 weeks test, you fail your entire years of education isnt it?.  Our school is to follow Islam through the Quran and sunnah and the one who does the most sincerely through the Prophetic ways, will get the most acknowledgement from ALLAH. Our goal in life should be strive to be that one such person who strive to obey ALLAH regardless of the difficulties in achieving that. The...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 9th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Friday 22nd January 2021). OUR SUSTENANCE IS FROM ALLAAH. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem.  Alhamdulillah for granting us another blessed day of the week. Please note that ALLAH is The Bestower of Provision , ALLAH(SWT), the Almighty says:   "Surely ALLAH is the Bestower of provision, Lord of Power, the Almighty".Noble Qur'an (52:58). People, birds, fish, animals, insects and reptiles are all creatures, which need food, air and water. ALLAH has bestowed HIS sustenance on each and every creature on earth and all must work and search for their provision.  ALLAH(SWT), the Most High says:  "And HE set on the earth firm mountains standing above its surface, and HE blessed the earth and measured therein nourishment for all things, in four periods: in accordance with the needs of the seekers". Noble Qur'an (41:10)    People are the seekers of sustenance, for food, water and money, on...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-khamis. 8th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Thursday 21st January 2021). TRUE OR FALSE SISTER?. Bismillah Some Ladies of nowadays would never seize to amuse me. They hold the most expensive phones and because they know the worth of those phones, If you check the phones, they are well covered with a phone-cover. Check the screen, it's well guarded with a screen guard. Some go around with Samsung galaxy Tabs and iPads all well guarded and protected! Check even the keys, they are well protected with a keypad protector. But ironically, these ladies walk all over the streets with their bodies well exposed. WHY????... It's either the phones are worth more than your bodies or you are yet to recognize your worth as a woman. So I wish to know; which one is more valuable, The phones, ipads, tabs or your body? Your naked body can only attract irresponsible guys who will use your body to satisfy their sexual needs (hit and run) But it will not attract a husb...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ath-thalaatha. 6th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Tuesday 19th January 2021). BE MINDFUL OF SHEITAN. BismilLah.  The foundation of Islam is the belief in the Oneness of GOD(ALLAH), having no partner, equal, son or rivals. Conversely, the greatest sin is to ascribe partners or equals with ALLAH as many Christians does which then nullifies their beliefs in Jesus Christ peace be upon him. Thus, tempting mankind into disbelief is Satan’s main focus. However, if Satan cannot mislead people to commit clear acts of disbelief, he resorts to more subtle means, such as the belief in superstitions, good luck charms, astrology and fortune telling, fake miracles etc. Such beliefs contradict the fact that ALLAH alone has power and knowledge over all things, and is the ONLY ONE Who can bring BENEFIT or HARM.  Innovation in the Religion of Islam is another trap of Sheitaan to deviate us.  “...I have perfected for you your religion...”Qur’an 5:3: Satan w...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al ithnayn. 5th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Monday 18th January 2021). HARMING THE SOUL TO SATISFY THE BODY WITHOUT MIND IS A TERRIBLE MISTAKE. Let's find out why. Please share to others and groups. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.  We Human beings need much more to complete our destiny. Believers from all faiths contend that the Soul is more important than the Body. But the soul and the body each have its own needs. How do we satisfy one without harming the other? Different faiths have different answers. Some teach that renunciation of the world and the demands of the body will lead to spiritual fulfilment. That’s why some people devote their lives to seclusion in monasteries and temples.  Islam the only true way of life to paradise teaches a holistic message that we can and should enjoy physical, intellectual and spiritual growth in a balanced way. Muslims daily recite this well-known prayer, [Sura Al Baqara, 2:201] “Rabbana aatinaa fid du...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad.. 4th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Sunday 17th January 2021). SOME RECOMMEDED DUAS AFTER THE FINAL TASHAHHUD BEFORE TASLEEM Bismillah.  It's highly recommended to make some recommended duas before ending our salaat. Please find two below; Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oothu bika min 'athaabil-qabri, wa min 'athaabi jahannama, wa min fitnatil-mahyaa walmamaati, wa min sharri fitnatil-maseehid-dajjaal. Meaning O ALLAH, I seek refuge in YOU from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of Hell-fire, and from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah. Al-Bukhari 2/102, Muslim 1/412, and this is Muslim's wording. Another good one is; Allaahumma 'innee dhalamtu nafsee dhulman katheeran, wa laa yaghfiruth-thunooba ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 3rd day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 16th January 2021). DUA AFTER THE FIRST TAKBEER. BismilLah.  Alhamdulillah for guiding and blessing us with Islam and especially salaat which we offer minimum 5 times a day seeking the Pleasure of ALLAH in return for paradise. Its important to note that the salaat we offer does not have specific rewards. Our rewards depends on how perfect we offer the salaat according to the Sunnah not as we wish. How we dress, perform wudhu, stand, concentrate etc in salaat are key towards acceptance and perfection of our salaat. We must learn how the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam prayed and what he said at what stage etc. One dua the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam never missed just after the first takbeer before even reciting faatihah is as follows; سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ وَلاَ إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ Transliteration: Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa taba...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 2nd day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Friday 15th January 2021). KINDS OF WATER FOR PURIFICATION continues. BismilLah.  Leftover Water: This is water that is leftover after something drank from it. This is divided into what or who has drank from the water. Water leftover after people drank from it. This water is considered pure whether the individual was Muslim, Non-Muslim, menstruating or non-menstruating. The reference in the Qur’an that states “Verily the Mushrikeen are impure” (9:28) is referring to their impurity in beliefs and creed, not physical impurity. Water leftover after an animal drank from it, whose meat is permissible for consumption. Such water is considered pure and allowed for purification. Water leftover after being drank by a donkey, mule, beasts or birds of prey. Such water is also considered pure and usable for purification. This is based on a few ahadīth that mention that we are allowed to drink from a pond after beas...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-khamis. 1st day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Thursday 14th January 2021). THE KINDS OF WATER FOR PURIFICATION in ISLAM. BismilLah.  Water is broken down into categories: Mutlaq water, used water, water mixed with pure elements, and water mixed with impure elements. Mutlaq Water is that which is considered inherently pure, and therefore may be used to purify oneself.  The types include: a. Rain, Snow etc b. Sea Water: Abū Hurairah ra, states: “It’s water is pure and it’s dead (animals) are lawful” (related by “the five” and Al-Bukhāri calls it sahīh). c. Zamzam Water. Used Water is that which is left over after one does Wudhu or Ghusl. This water may be used to purify oneself. The Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam wiped his head with the water remaining on his hands from wudhu’.”(Ahmad & Abū Dawūd narrated).  Water Mixed with Pure Elements includes water that has been mixed with substances that are considered inherently p...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum arba'a. . 29th day of Jumaadal Awwal.. (Wednesday 13th January 2021). SEEKING GUIDANCE FROM ALLAH REGULARLY. BismilLahir.  ALLAH subhaanahu wa ta`aalaa (exalted is HE) has given HIMSELF Names and attributes (siffat) so that we can know HIM through HIS attributes. What is most amazing and beautiful about ALLAH’s Names is that through them, you can see how your Creator recognizes the needs of HIS creation. We all need sustenance; and HE is ar-Razzaaq, The Provider. We all need love; and HE is al-Waduud, The Most Loving. We all need protection; and ALLAH is al-Hafidh, The Guardian. What we need the most is the very thing of which ALLAH (swt) has an unlimited supply. And so sometimes we are put through things to know ALLAH (swt). Sometimes it is to open your eyes to your own flaws so that you can change. But whatever it is, if you realize that the answer to any problem is through HIM, and that HE suffices all your needs, then your relief is alrea...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ath-thalaatha. . 28th day of Jumaadal Awwal.. (Tuesday 12th January 2021). FORGIVING OTHERS IS A BLESSINGS FOR OURSELVES. BismilLah.  Can anyone reading this reminder claims he or she does not make mistakes and fall short, and does not wrong other people or transgress their rights to some extent? each of us would like people to forgive us for all the wrongs we have done to them isn't it?, so why wouldn't you forgive others who wrong you? Anyway listen to what our Creator ALLAH, may HE be exalted says in HIS Book, the Quran to forgive people and be patient with their annoyance: “If [instead] you show some good or conceal it or pardon an offense, indeed, ALLAH is ever Pardoning and Competent” [an-Nisaa’ 4:149]. Again ALLAH says “And whoever is patient and forgives, indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination”[ash-Shoora 42:43]. Again “But if you pardon and overlook and forgive, then indeed, ALLAH is Forgiving and Merciful”[at-Tagha...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. . 27th day of Jumaadal Awwal.. (Monday 11th January 2021). ISLAM IS A MERCY FOR THE ENTIRE CREATION, EVEN TO ENEMIES OF ISLAM. BismilLah.  ISLAM teaches us to be merciful to the entire creation, to Muslims and non-Muslims, to friends and enemies and even to the animals, trees, rocks etc. Mercy (Raḥmah) in Islam has a very wide meaning that includes kindness, compassion, love, tolerance, patience with people, and to treat others the way we would love to be treated. This Islamic value is at the core of the prophetic message and meaning of faith, just as it was in all of the revealed religions before Islam. Every Muslim needs to strive to be an agent of mercy on earth for all human beings and creatures. ALLAH says to the nearest meaning: وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ I have not sent you except as mercy to the worlds. Suurat al-Anbiya 21:107. Which means mercy to everything on earth.  ALLAH intends for the ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad. . 26th day of Jumaadal Awwal.. (Sunday 10th January 2021). HOW TO EXHIBIT TRUE/REAL PATIENCE. BismilLah.  There is the saying by the wise that; A fish can say to the sea, you can never see my tears, because I am in the water. The sea can respond  back that, "But I can feel your tears, because you are within my heart." This is exactly how we are; No one will feel us except those who are truly close to our hearts and no one is closer to our hearts than ALLAH (The Most MERCIFUL) and HIS Messenger sallallahu alaihi. Are you facing any difficulties that you feel ALLAH has neglected you or not listening to you? Check out this true story. Arwah bin al-Zubayr's leg was cut off because of a disease he suffered, on the same day the dearest of his seven sons died. The dearest son to his heart died after a horse kick killed him. Arwah said: "Allahumma lakal hamd, Inna lilLahi wa inna Ilaihi raaji'un."[Ya ALLAH! All thanks to Yo...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 25th day of Jumaadal Awwal. (Saturday 9th January 2021). HOW GIVING UP MUSIC MADE ME MORE PRODUCTIVE. BismilLah.  Let's finalise from yesterday's Reminders; So here are the benefits I got from giving up music. Quality of prayer significantly improving. A friend of mine said that salah is a barometer for a persons life. It accurately indicates your relationship with ALLAH. If your salah is good, then everything else is good. Even if you are going through obstacles, as long as you have your salah that you are performing with sincerity and humility, your eeman will be your strength. However when I listened to music, I found that it became stored in my heart and mind like data, only to be played out when I was talking to my Lord. You know those times when you’re praying and everything is silent, and in the back of your mind, a song is replaying over and over which makes it hard to concentrate… You get onto your third raka’ah and you’re l...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat.  24th day of Jumaadal Awwal. (Friday 8th January 2021). HOW GIVING UP MUSIC MADE ME MORE PRODUCTIVE. BismilLah.  Let's continue from the Reminder yesterday; Giving up music temporarily in Ramadan is a brothers true story.  It was Ramadan 2015, and everyone knows what Ramadan means. We try to refrain from wasteful activities and instead, immerse ourselves in worship as much as we can. For a lot of people, this could mean reducing or completely refraining from things like music, video games, TV (especially inappropriate shows and movies) and/or profanity in general. Some of us seek to take advantage of this blessed month by establishing, or consolidating our relationship with ALLAH. So as I learnt more about Islam and deepened my connection with ALLAH, The Exalted, this time felt a little bit different. I discovered a soothing feeling of peace and tranquillity that I could only find through my efforts to strengthen my relati...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis.  23rd day of Jumaadal Awwal. (Thursday 7th January 2021). HOW GIVING UP MUSIC WILL MAKE YOU MORE PRODUCTIVE. BismilLah.  Unfortunately, the love of music to some muslims have replaced the love of the Qur'an AstaghfirulLah. That's dangerous and disaster in our ways of life. If you listen to QUR'AN less than you do to Music then trust me you are far from the mercy of ALLAH. You've switched off your own lights in your room and complaining about darkness. It's like washing your dirty clothes(our dark heart) with urine(music). Let's read how someone changed his life from darkness to light as follows;  I used to have a library of lyrics in my head, and would always be up to date with new songs, and share them with my friends. I wouldn’t leave my house without headphones. It was something I was dependent on to study, relax, while in my car… it was just a significant part of my life.  And then I gave it up! I used to hear st...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Arba'a.  22nd day of Jumaadal Awwal. (Wednesday 6th January 2021). HOW TO DEFEAT SATAN FROM HIS TRAPS. BismilLah. Seeking Help with ALLAH. To ask ALLAH for HIS protection and to rely on HIM alone for help, is a tool in defeating Satan. Surah Al-Falaq and An-Nas of the Qu’ran may be used to regularly seek protection from Satan and we should recite them. We must realise that as long as we are alive, Satan will never give up attempting to mislead us. We must always be on our guard and constantly ask ALLAH for guidance and protection.  Avoid Sinful Environments. When ALLAH forbade Aadam from one particular tree, He did not say, “do not eat from this tree” but rather, “do not come close to this tree.” Qur’an 2:35. We must therefore distance ourselves from anything that may lead to committing sin.  Keep Good Companionship. The Messenger of ALLAH (peace be upon him) advised, “A person is on the path of his close friend, so be careful who...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ath-thalaatha.  21st day of Jumaadal Awwal. (Tuesday 5th January 2021). TRAPS OF SHEITAN. BismilLah.  Our beloved Messenger to Mankind, Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahualaihiwasallam) explained to us how idol worship originated, which highlights the gradual and patient approach of Satan. After a group of righteous people died, Satan inspired those around them to erect statues in their honour and as reminder of their righteousness. When that generation passed away and the people had forgotten why the statues were erected, Satan deceived them into believing that their forefathers used to worship them, and that through them, the rains were brought forth. People then began worshipping these statues. This gradual deception is used in many ways. For example, Satan tricks people into committing forbidden sexual acts: it begins with a look, which leads to a thought, then a smile, then a seemingly innocent conversation, then seclusion and eventually,...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 20th day of Jumaadal Awwal. (Monday 4th January 2021). HOW CAN WE PROTECT OURSELVES FROM SHEITAN WITH REGARDS TO OUR RELIGIOUS COMMITMENT. BismilLah.  As Muslims, our enemy, whose efforts is to deviate us from our religious commitments is Shaitaan and he will never rest till he manage to deviate as many as possible on daily basis through his agents the evil jinns, fortune tellers, magicians etc. He has so many ways in doing that and many Muslims falls into his traps without even realising it.  The soundness of a person’s religious commitment in this world means happiness and triumph in the hereafter. The capital of a Muslim is his religious commitment, so whoever neglects it and exposes it to trials and temptations is doomed to failure, whereas the one who preserves it and takes care to strengthen it will prosper and succeed. Our weapon is dua, seeking ALLAH'S help with our efforts to please HIM and also avoiding religious in...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul ahad. 19th day of Jumaadal Awwal. (Sunday 3rd January 2021). OUR SALAAH, OUR KEY TO SUCCESS. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.  As-Salah means to worship ALLAH through certain known and prescribed sayings and actions starting with takbeer saying Allaahu Akbar i.e. ALLAH is the Greater, and ending with tasleem  (saying: as-salaamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatul-lahi wa barakaatuh i.e. may ALLAAH’s Peace, Mercy, and Blessings be upon you).  The Merits or importance of  As-Salah. 1. The Salaah Prevents us from al-Fahshaa (great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) and al-Munkar (disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed, etc.). (See Quran C: 29, V: 45).  2. It is The best of deeds after the Testimony of Faith (laa ilaaha illal-laah, Muhammad  rasoulul-laah). (See hadeeth of ‘Abdullaah ibn Mas’oud (radiyallaahu 'anhu) in Bukhari (v. 9, p. 625) & Muslim). 3. Washes out sins (See hadeeth of Jaabir...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 18th day of Jumaadal Awwal. (Saturday 2nd January 2021). A UNIQUE ROLE TO KEEP YOUR HUSBAND HAPPY AT HOME IN RETURN FOR PARADISE. BismilLah.  We all know in Islam that marriage is an act of worship and managing your marriage well can easily earn you PARADISE especially our sisters.  The task of a wife is to maintain and take care of a husband. It is not an easy undertaking. Those women, who are unaware of this feature of their role, may find difficulty in fulfilling the task. It is a job for the woman who is aware that the job requires a degree of sagacity, style, and ingenuity. For a woman to be a successful wife, she should win over her husband's heart and be a source of comfort to him. She should encourage him to do good deeds while dissuading him from bad ones.
