THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 20th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Friday 31st August 2018). HOW TO BALANCE THE USAGE OF THE MIND, BODY AND SOUL TO ACHIEVE A SUCCESSFUL END. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from our topic yesterday; The Holy Quran describes the human soul in these beautiful words: [Ash-Shams, 91:7-10] “By the Soul and the proportion and order given to it; and its enlightenment as to its wrong and right; Truly he succeeds that purifies it, and he fails that corrupts it.” My dear respected Brothers and Sisters, if we follow the natural inclination of our soul, constantly seeking unity with ALLAH, yearning to return to Him and earnestly seeking HIS good pleasure, then we will bring some order and proportion to our lives. This is the big challenge we face. And, it’s not only seeking balance, order and proportion in our own lives, but bringing something of this beauty and grace, this serenity, this sakina(tranquility), into the lives of our fami...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 19th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Thursday 30th August 2018). THE SOUL, THE MIND AND THE BODY?. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. My respected Brothers and Sisters in Islam, Something of Heaven lives within each and every one of us. It’s the Ruuh, the soul, the creation of ALLAH that was inspired into our mortal flesh before we were born, and it will detach from this body when we die. When life as we know it comes to an end, our bodies will return to the earth whence it came. Our bodies decompose into its constituent elements, carbon and hydrogen and magnesium, and all the minerals and gases and liquids that sustained us through life. After death these elements will again nourish the earth and what’s left of our bodies will help to ‘push up the daisies’ as the saying goes. When we die, our soul also returns to its origins, to the timeless, space-less realm of eternity, whence it came. Before we were born, our soul was pure, unblemished, like a...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumu Ar-Raabaā, 18th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Wednesday 29th August 2018). CAN WE CELEBRATE OUR ISLAMIC NEW YEAR?. BismilLah. Sheikh Faarooq Ibn Ismaa'eel Al-egbaawi wrote a good article about this topic as follows; All praise is to ALLAH. Peace and Blessings upon Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. We have indeed found some of our brethren over time calling to hijrah celebration and attaching it to the religion. Their evidences: 1) Some of them claim that the religion does not need to be taken with rigidity. This is because if the Non-Muslims can be celebrating new year, Easter, Christmas and so on, which the religion forbids us from partaking in, then there is nothing wrong if the hijrah new year can be taken as a form of celebration to draw Muslims attention away from the celebrations of the Non-Muslims. We say: There is no rigidity in Islaam. Attributing rigidity to Islaam is only an action from ignorance and self desires. There are only two ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumu Al-thalaatha, 17th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Tuesday 28th August 2018). A WORLD OF DECEPTION. BismilLah. A brother shared a very important article to me yesterday and after reading through I decided to share to my readers as well for a reality check. By Sheikh Ibrahim Disina THE world of a fool!!! ﺃﻭﻝ ﻣﺎ ﻳﺴﻘﻂ ﻣﻨﻚ ﻋﻨﺪ ﻣﻮﺗﻚ ﻫﻮ ﺍﺳﻤﻚ .. The first thing you will forget after death ...your name ﻟﺬﻟﻚ ﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﺗﻤﻮﺕ ﻳﻘﻮﻟﻮﻥ ﻋﻨﻚ ﺃﻳﻦ ﺍﻟﺠﺜﺔ .. ؟ That's the reason why when you die they will say: where's the dead body? ﻭﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﻳﺮﻳﺪﻭﻥ ﺍﻟﺼﻼﺓ ﻋﻠﻴﻚ ﻳﻘﻮﻟﻮﻥ ﺍﺣﻀﺮﻭﺍ ﺍﻟﺠﻨﺎﺯﺓ .. ؟ By the time they will pray for you they will say , " bring the corpse " ﻭﻻ ﻳﻨﺎﺩﻭﻧﻚ ﺑﺈﺳﻤﻚ They will not call you by your name ﻭﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﻳﺸﺮﻋﻮﻥ ﺑﺪﻓﻨﻚ ﻳﻘﻮﻟﻮﻥ ﻗﺮﺑﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻤﻴﺖ ﻭﻻ ﻳﻨﺎﺩﻭﻧﻚ ﺑﺎﺳﻤﻚ !.. THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumu Al-Ithnayn, 16th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Monday 27th August 2018). RULINGS ON NETWORK MARKETING, PYRAMID SCHEME BUSINESS ETC CONTINUES. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. In yesterday's reminder, I concluded that almost all network/ pyramid scheme form of transactions are haraam. The following are some of the reasons which scholars says it's haraam; 1. It involves riba of two types, riba al-fadl (involving exchange of goods of the same type but of different quantity) and riba al-nasi’ah (involving deferred payment of a larger amount than would be paid if it were paid immediately). The participant pays a small amount of money in order to gain a lot of money, in other words he pays cash for cash of a different amount and with deferred payment. This is the kind of riba that is forbidden according to the texts and by scholarly consensus. The product which the company sells to the agent is simply a screen for this transaction; it is not what the...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 15th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Sunday 26th August 2018) RULINGS ON NETWORK MARKETING, PYRAMID SCHEME BUSINESS ETC. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As Muslims it's important we remind ourselves that whatever we do on earth we will one day die and face ALLAH to Account for whatever we accomulated or did with our given choice. Whatever we intend doing we must ask first if it's within Sharia permissibility or not. Don't act before asking. Earning haraam income is a serious crime against our soul. We will die and regret any pesewa we earned through haraam means. Halaal business must involve Halaal commodity, must have buyer and seller, the product must physically be located for exchange with purchasing currency, there should be expenditure to produce a commodity and a profit or loss expectations as part of the transaction etc to make it Halaal business or transaction. Anything short of this is haraam. A pyramid scheme is a business m...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Sabt, 14th day of Zul Hijjah, (Saturday 25th August 2018) REFUTING LIES ABOUT ISLAM ON SLAVE GIRLS/CONCUBINES. BismilLah It is true that a lot of people including some ignorant Muslims push this subject ‘under the rug’ and do not understand it or are sometimes ashamed of this concept. That is because, today’s society and behavior is absolutely different from the conditions prevalent over 1400 years ago at the time of Revelation of the Quran. There is no place on earth where this concept is practiced today openly, thus to really understand the concept in its entirety, we must try to imagine the times of the Revelation of the Glorious Quran. As a Muslim, it's compulsory to learn about Islam to at least explain to non Muslims about misconceptions but to speak against or dislike something about Islam without been bothered to learn shows our high level of ignorance. Since time immemorial, slavery was an accepted practice; thus it was not Islam t...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 13th day of Zul Hijjah Friday , 24th August 2018). THOSE WHOM ALLAH LOVES AND THOSE ALLAH DOES NOT LOVE. BismilLaah As we studied from yesterday reminder on those ALLAH loves, let's find out those ALLAH does not love so that we can stay away from such category of people. Like I mentioned in yesterday's reminder, ALLAH loves all HIS creation that's why even the bad creation and those who reject HIM still enjoys HIS blessings on earth but ALLAH dislike some acts bcs such acts can only deviate us into the Hellfire. Let's check from the Qur'an and avoid those acts. ALLAH does not love stubborn rejection of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 12th day of Zul Hijjah (Thursday , 23rd August 2018). THOSE WHOM ALLAH LOVES AND THOSE ALLAH DOES NOT LOVE. BismilLaah Basically, ALLAH loves all of HIS creatures and for that reason HE sent prophets and messengers to teach us the truth and guide us to the straight path. ALLAH and the believers want people to choose the way of righteousness and thereby enter Paradise, but ALLAH does not love sinful actions. A person who rejects ALLAH, commits evil deeds, and dies without repentance will be denied the blessings of ALLAH’S love. Therefore, we should become familiar with the characteristics of those whom ALLAH loves and does not love as mentioned in the Quran. Allah loves faith and the believers, those who depend upon HIM for their needs, who are mindful of HIM and remember HIM, who are grateful to HIM for their blessings, who fear HIS punishment and hope in HIS reward. ALLAH says: قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِب...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ar-Raabaā, 11th day of Zul Hijjah (Wednesday, 22nd August 2018). HALAAL MEANS OF ENTERTAINMENT DURING THESE 3 DAYS OF CELEBRATIONS. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Eidul Adhar is the day of globalized celebrations among Muslims. We are emulating the sacrifice Ibrahim(A.S) made to Allah under the guidance of Allah Himself so whoever is capable should sacrifice for Allah sake and distribute some of the meat and other food stuff to the needy as taught by our beloved Messenger of Allah. For those praying today we say EID MUBARAK. You can sacrifice up to tomorrow Thursday. We all know how this Eid Celebrations has been turned into haraam festivals in almost every part of the globe due to satanic influences. Our sisters and brothers don't dress Islamically, we buy clothing made for non Muslims for our kids. Our sisters dress half Islamic but half non-Islamic showing off their necks, chest, hands to elbow etc. Alhamdulillah I've done a research a...
SPECIAL EID DAY REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha, 10th day of Dhul Hijjah (Tuesday 21st August). SUNNAH WAY OF EIDUL ADHAR. LETS LEARN AND SHARE TO OTHERS PLEASE. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. EID MUBARAK TO YOU ALL. MAY ALLAH ACCEPT IT FROM US ALL. The Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi wa sallam) delivering a khutbah saying: “The first thing to be done on this day (first day of Eid-ul-Adha) is to pray; and after returning from the prayer we slaughter our sacrifices (in the name of Allah), and whoever does so, he has acted according to our sunnah. (Kitaabul-‘Eidayn, Bukhari). Eid-ul-Adhar is celebrated on the 10th through 12th day of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th month of the lunar calendar. Many of the rituals related to the Eid directly commemmorate the sacrifices of Ibrâhîm, Abraham (alayhis-salaam) and his family for the sake of ALLÂH. On the way to the Eid prayer, while waiting for it and on the way back from the prayer one should recite the following takbeer as much as possible: Allaah...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 9th day of Zul Hijjah (Monday, 20th August 2018). TODAY IS THE DAY OF ARAFAH. SOME RECOMMENDED ACTS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALHAMDULILLAH for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed days of this blessed month. It's my hope that majority of us are fasting today in an effort to gain the rewards of this blessed day when all the hujjaaj are busy on the Arafah mountain seeking Allah's forgiveness and blessings whilst those of us not with them aim to receive share of our blessings from ALLAH in shaa ALLAH. The recommended Invocation to be recited on this day as recommended by the Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is Laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa Huwa alaa kulli shay'in Qadeer. Meaning: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 9th day of Zul Hijjah (Sunday, 19th August 2018). ARE YOU READY FOR "ARAFAH" DAY TOMORROW? BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Whoever is able MUST NOT MISS FASTING tomorrow 9th day of Dhul Hijjah, which is the day of ARAFAH. Fasting on the day of ‘Arafah is a confirmed Sunnah for those who are not performing Hajj. It was narrated from Abu Qataadah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked about fasting on the day of ‘Arafah and he said: “It expiates for the sins for the past and coming years.” Narrated by Muslim (1162). According to another report: “I ask ALLAAH that it may expiate for (the sins of) the year that comes before it and the year that comes after it. Wherever you are please try to fast bcs Arafah blessings descend when the hujjaaj are busy making dua at the Arafah mountain and bcs we want to benefit from such blessings that is why we are fasting so...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Sabt, 7th day of Zul Hijjah (Saturday, 18th August 2018). THE SUNNAH WAY OF SHARING OUR EID SACRIFICE. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Before, I share on the topic, let me humbly remind all that, fasting today Saturday is not recommended as such you can break your Sunnah fasting if you are fasting. The Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu alaihi wasallam gave a rulings NOT to fast on Saturdays unless if it's in Ramadan or Fard. Aside Ramadan or been Fard, whatever Sunnah fasting day falls on Saturday please avoid it. ALLAH knows best. Back to our topic; The Sunnah of the Messenger of ALLAH (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was to consume a part of it, distribute a part of it among his companions, and give a part of it to the poor and needy. ALLAH Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verses 36-37: 36 The sacrificial camels we have made for you as among the Symbols from ALLAH: in them is (much) good for you: then pronounce the name of ALLAH over t...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuah, 6th day of Zul Hijjah (Friday, 17th August 2018). SPECIAL APPEAL FOR OUR BELOVED MESSENGER OF ALLAH (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam). BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Today is one of the best Fridays of the year as it falls within the best 10 days of the year AlhamdulilLah. Today I'm appealing for anyone reading this reminder to offer minimum 100 salutations to our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam. Just say in shaa ALLAH and strive to do that before magrib today. It only takes under 10 minutes in shaa ALLAH. Please do this with full concentration and After that just request ALLAH to forgive you and me with the blessings or rewards of the 100 salawaat you recited. You can recite the short format, Allahummah salli alaa Muhammadiw wa alaa aali muhammad wasallim which basically means Oh Allah, Please shower your blessings upon Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam and his family. As Muslims, we must always strive to seek ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-khamis, 5th day of Zul Hijjah (Thursday, 16th August 2018). THE TRUTH BEHIND THE DAY OF ARAFAH & ITS NAME. Please share to your contacts and groups. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The Messenger of ALLAH (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “ الحج عرفة “ or “Hajj is all about Arafah“. The Arabic text implies a very important concept of the meaning of Hajj. This short statement means that the whole hajj and its validity is confined in the actual day of Arafah i.e. Hajj becomes valid only when the day of Arafah is observed and witnessed by those who undertake the journey, the pilgrims. Regardless how long the hujjaj stay in Makkah, if they missed that single day, they have then missed the whole Hajj. The name Arafah عَرَفَة was mentioned in many ahadith such as hadith of the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam): “ الحج عرفة “ or Hajj is Arafah(reported by Imam Ahmad and the four sunan). The name Arafat was mentioned in Surat al-Baqar...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ar-Raaba'a, 4th day of Zul Hijjah (Wednesday, 15th August 2018). ENCOURAGING GOOD AND FORBIDDEN EVIL IS ALL WE NEED TO START DOING IF WE WANT ALLAH TO HELP US. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's look through our communities today, can we be proud of having majority good practising brothers and sisters? Definitely not, majority of our parents, brothers and sisters excuse me to say, have turned fornicators, thieves, gamblers, soothsayers etc. Majority of our brothers and sisters are having children or pregnancies outside of marriage. You hardly find a virgin girl or a holy brother today to marry each other yaa ALLAH. Marriage is now expensive to bear, nothing like sunnah marriages any more, bid'a or innovational marriages dominate now making zina (fornication) cheap. With all these evil going on, how do we get the blessings or guidance of ALLAH?. It is clear in Quran and authentic hadith that if these kind of evil becomes open and real...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-thalaatha, 3rd day of Zul Hijjah (Tuesday, 14th August 2018). EID DAY'S SACRIFICE. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Sacrifice, commonly known as Qurbani, means slaughter of an animal in the name of Allah on the 10th, 11th or 12th of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah. Sacrifice, as practised by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) is an essential religious rite in memory of the sacrifice performed by Prophet Abraham peace be upon him. ALLAH put Abraham to a most difficult trial, the details of which are described in the Quran. "O my Lord! Grant me (Abraham) a righteous (son)!? So ALLAH gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. "Then, when the the son(Ishmael) reached the age to work with him, he said: "O my son I see in a vision that I offer you in sacrifice: Now say what is your view! (The first son, Ishmael) said: "O My father! Do as you are commanded: You will find me if ALLAH so will...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-ithnayn, 2nd day of Zul Hijjah (Monday, 13th August 2018). PROTECTION OF THE TONGUE. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The last and final in the chain of Messengers to mankind Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has given us golden principles and comprehensive rules to live by, which are a key to our over all success in both the worlds. These rules pertain to both, the realm of worship and the domain of social life. Today, I invite your attention to certain social ills, which are rampant in our society and we not only have become insensitive towards them, but also practice them day and night without thinking that by doing so we are disobeying ALLAH (SWT) and HIS Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam). One among those ills is ‘backbiting’. It means that you say something about someone in his/her absence which he/she wouldn’t like if said in his/her presence. It doesn’t matter if the mentioned shortcoming or flaw is true or false. If it is true the...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 1st day of Zul Hijjah (Sunday, 12th August 2018). THE 10 DAYS OF GOLDEN REWARDS HAS BEGAN. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. AlhamdulilLah for granting us Dhul Hijjah. We pray that ALLAH grant us the opportunity to be part of these great 10 days ahead. Praise be to ALLAH Who has created Time and has made some times better than others, some months, days and nights better than others, when rewards are multiplied many times, as a mercy towards HIS slaves. This encourages us to do more righteous deeds and makes us more eager to worship HIM, so that we renew our efforts to gain a greater share of reward, prepare ourselves for death and supply ourselves in readiness for the Day of Judgement. Alhamdulillah. This season of worship brings many benefits, such as the opportunity to correct one’s faults and make up for any shortcomings or anything that one might have missed. Every one of these special occasions involves some kind of worship through which...
SPECIAL REMINDER. Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullah to all. Alhamdulillah, it's confirmed that tomorrow Sunday 12th August is 1st of Zul Hijjah as such please make your intentions to start fasting tomorrow if you can. It's not compulsory but highly recommended to fast within the first 9 days of Zul Hijjah especially the 9th day which is the day of Arafah. Those who are intending to sacrifice should not Shave or cut the nails etc till after Eid when the animal is sacrificed. That's the Sunnah. May ALLAH aid us to be among those who are successful. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 28th day of Zul-Qa'adah (Friday, 10th August 2018). PRESCRIPTION FOR PIETY. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem ALLAH (The Most Great) says in Aayah 119 of Surah Taubah: “O Believers fear ALLAH and be with those who are truthful.” To fear ALLAH means to avoid sins at all cost and to make sincere repentance and seek forgiveness from ALLAH in case a sin is committed.  Along with fearing Allah, this Aayah also commands to be with the people who are truthful, i.e., who always speak the truth, who at heart are truthful and whose actions reflect their belief in truth. A person, who is living in an amoral, immoral or unethical environment, may ask a question: “How to build a barrier against sins and be safe from their influence.” Listen to what Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) once said before I answer this question. He (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said that a time will come when holding on to Faith will be as difficult as holding a burning coa...
Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullah wabarakaatuh. As a supplement for today's Reminder, I would like to add the following; Let's strive to use the opportunity of of the first 10 days of ZUL-HIJJAH to make Sincere Repentance as ALLAH loves those who repent to HIM in complete submission. The act of sincere repentance to ALLAH with intention to never return to HIS disobedience and sin is very dear to HIM. Return to ALLAH by giving up all the deeds, open and secret, that HE dislikes. Be regretful of your sins and disobedience and resolve to never return to sin and to firmly adhere to the path which ALLAH loves. Allah says, “But as for him who repented, believed and did righteous deeds, then he will be among those who are successful.” [Al-Qasas 28:67]. ALLAHU AKBAR. Let's establish a beautiful new relationship with the book of ALLAH, the Qur'an starting in these ten days of Dhul-Hijja. Recite its verses and you will reap its blessings. Understand its message. Implement the...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-khamis, 27th day of Zul-Qa'adah (Thursday, 9th August 2018). ACTS RECOMMENDED FOR THE FIRST 10 DAYS OF ZUL HIJJAH. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Just like the last ten nights of Ramadan are the best ten nights out of the year, these first ten days of Dhul-Hijja are the best days of the year and the most beloved to ALLAH as they combine acts of worship in a way unlike any other time. So, the questions we should be asking ourselves are, “How do we make the most of this season of blessings?”, “What deeds can I perform to attain HIS pleasure?”. The following are some examples of the acts of worship that will help us gain HIS pleasure In shaa ALLAH. 1. Perform Hajj (Pilgrimage); Obviously, Hajj is one of the best deeds that one can do during these ten days. However for those of us who were not invited to HIS House this year, there are still many more ways to earn the pleasure of ALLAH. 2. Fast all nine days and especially on the ‘Day of Arafah...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ar-Raaba'a, 26th day of Zul-Qa'adah (Wednesday, 8th August 2018). THE MONTH OF REWARDS ZUL-HIJJAH APPROACHING, LET'S BE READY FOR IT. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Zul-Hijjah is the twelfth and last month of the Islamic Calendar which contains 10 mighty days to gain golden rewards. The fifth pillar of Islam "Hajj" is performed in this sacred month.  The first ten days of Zul-Hijjah are the most virtuous days in the whole month, Hajj is performed amongst these ten days as we are witnessing the hujjaaj flying to the sacred land. Sheikh Abu Haraira (R.A) reports from the Holy Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam: "Amongst all days there are none better to engage in sole worship of ALLAH than in the first ten days of Zul-Hijjah,  To observe a fast on any of these days is equivalent to fasting throughout the year, to actively engage in prayer and worship throughout any of these nights holds such rewarding values level...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-thalaatha, 25th day of Zul-Qa'adah (Tuesday, 7th August 2018). RULINGS ON IMITATING NON MUSLIMS. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As Muslims, we must study our religion properly and ensure whatever we do is within the teachings of ALLAH and HIS Messenger or Consensus of Scholars as the Prophet certified. Any other ways of life can weaken our faith, corrupt it and eventually invalidate our shahaadah that we hold that certify us as Muslims that's why ALLAH warned us not to follow or listen to non Muslims or else they will deviate us into their disbelief and in the next verse ALLAH warned us not to live a life other than the teachings of the prophet and then the next verse warned us not to die as non Muslims which means, imitating non muslims by ignoring the sunnah can lead us into disbelief (Study Qur'an 3 Vs 100 going for all the above) . Imitating others is something that happens to humans. It is indicative of great love of the one wh...
Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullah wabarakaatuh to you all. Hope you had a wonderful blessed day. Let's appreciate whatever happened today and always say AlhamdulilLah regardless what Happened. The fact that you are reading this tells me Alhamdulillah you are better than someone especially those lying on the small hospital bed or in their rooms fighting for survival. This is Not a second reminder 😊 but in complement to our Reminder today, Allah says: هُوَ اللَّهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ ۖ لَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ HE is ALLAH, the CREATOR, the ORIGINATOR, the MAKER of IMAGES. To HIM belong the best names. Surat al-Hashr 59:24 And Allah says again: الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَاءَ رَكَّبَكَ It is HE who created you and fashioned you into whatever image He willed to assemble you. Surat al-Infitar 82 vs 7-8. Hence, all people are created in the “image of ALLAH". They deserve to be dignified, honored, and treated fairly and comp...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-ithnayn, 24th day of Zul-Qa'adah (Monday, 6th August 2018). MEANING OF ALLAH CREATING HUMANS IN HIS OWN IMAGE. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Unfortunately, other faith have made a serious mistake in trying to compare The CREATOR, ALLAH with HIS Creation human beings in physical appearance. Sheikh AbuAmina in one of his articles explained that, In Islam, we believe that all people have been created in the “image” of ALLAH. But what does this mean? ALLAH is the creator of everything, including all people. That people are in the “image of Allah” means they are in the form that HE, ALLAH has chosen and honored for them, not that they resemble ALLAH in physical appearance or share in the Divine Essence. Just as we say a righteous person is the “servant of Allah” and a mosque is the “house of Allah” as a way to honor them, likewise is it an added dignity for people to be acknowledged as existing in the “image of Allah.” An image ALLAH has made ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 23rd day of Zul-Qa'âdah(Sunday 5th August 2018). WHY INTER-MIXING IS PROHIBITED IN ISLAM. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Indeed, mixing between men and women should be very restricted in Islam due to the great harm it causes. As we all know it is a great fitnah (action that causes or can lead immoral actions), so all Muslims, especially guys and young men and women, are highly recommended to avoid that as strongly as we can. Mixing or intermingling is a general term, which includes that which is permissible and that which is prohibited. If it is merely men and women gathering in an open space to perform shared work, whether religious or non-religious, that in itself is not prohibited, as long as the Islamic code of behavior is followed, in terms of Hijab, lowering the gaze, and the like. Women must keep away from men and vice versa as much as possible for our own good. Let's always remember that sheitan is a major enemy who uses ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Sabt, 22nd day of Zul Qa'âdah (Saturday 4th August). NOURISHMENT OF OUR SPIRITUAL BEING, THE SOUL BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Before our topic today, I would like to announce that majority voted yesterday for only one Reminder a day and as the saying goes, majority carries the vote as such with immediate effect, our daily Islamic Reminders will be once a day in Shaa ALLAH. I will strive to still keep it short and brief and if a topic requires 3 Reminders, I will spread it to 3 or more days instead of 3 times a day in Shaa ALLAH. Sorry for those who suggested twice a day and those who requested we maintain the 3 times a day. Back to our topic for today. We all know that ALLAH created the body from the dust of the earth So its nourishment that's food and drink comes from the earth provided by ALLAH, the Creator. Our SOUL comes from ALLAH as such the nourishment of the soul which is more important comes from ALLAH directly and will g...

BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. AlhamdulilLah for granting us this blessed day of the week. THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Al-khamis, 20th day of Zul Qa'âdah (Thursday 2nd August). POSITIVE THINKING IN ISLAM. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first and second Reminders. Not all thoughts about the world are evil. Thinking about something Allah blessed us with in the world is good. And we have a duty to take care of our worldly affairs, meet our work obligations, pay our bills, fulfill our trusts, and so on. We should think about these things in so far as they are necessary and beneficial. For example, we may need to think about how we are going to complete a work project. But perhaps at work someone said a mean word to us or did something to annoy us. If we constantly dwell upon that negative interaction, it will only cause harm to us and produce no benefit. It is an unnecessary worldly thought and should be dismissed. In fact, a step on the road to excellence in Islam is learning to think about only those things that should concern us. Ibn Al-Qayyi...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-khamis, 20th day of Zul Qa'âdah (Thursday 2nd August). POSITIVE THINKING IN ISLAM. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first Reminder; please request for a copy if you couldn't receive the first Reminder; Imam Abu Huraira may ALLAH be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ Whoever believes in ALLAH and the Last Day, let him speak goodness or remain silent. Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6110. Sometimes Satan will throw evil suggestions into our minds. These suggestions have no power over us unless we choose to act on them. If we follow an evil or negative train of thought, then it will lead us to a terrible end. Thus, when we find ourselves caught up in a bad line of thinking, we need to immediately replace these negative thoughts with positive inward statements to cancel their ef...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Al-khamis, 20th day of Zul Qa'âdah (Thursday 2nd August). POSITIVE THINKING IN ISLAM. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. AlhamdulilLah for guiding us into Islamic ways of life which is the ONLY way to Paradise says Allah. As Muslims, Our thoughts have a powerful ability to determine our feelings and emotional states and ultimately affect how we behave, for better or worse. Islam teaches us to direct the act reflection (tafakkur), or deep thought, towards the signs of Allah, the names and attributes of Allah, to HIS blessings and wonders, to hope in the Hereafter, and to optimism. By controlling our thought processes in a positive manner, we can increase the effectiveness of our prayers and worship as well as relieve ourselves from the anger, depression, and anxieties that worldly thoughts induce. Contrary to popular belief, we have control over which thoughts we choose to follow. We may not have a choice over which particular thought occurs initially in our m...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Ar-Raaba'a, 19th day of Zul-Qa'âdah (Wednesday, 1st August). PERFORMING HAJJ OURSELVES BEFORE SPONSORING YOUR PARENTS. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As Muslims it's important we research well on any act we intend doing. Scholars base on QUR'AN and Sunnah has said that if a person is able or can afford to perform Hajj and his parents could not perform it then they the parents are not forced to go to Hajj because they are unable, but it is an obligation on the child to perform it because he is able to do so and can afford. It is not a condition for Hajj that the parents should have performed it before the son could or should do so. Whenever the son is able to perform Hajj, it is an obligation on him to do so whether his parents have already performed it or not, and whether they are alive or dead. Therefore, if you are able to perform Hajj especially we the youth, we are obliged to do so immediately before we strive to sponsor our parents whenever...
