ALHAMDULILLAH for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed days of this blessed month. It's my hope that majority of us are fasting today in an effort to gain the rewards of this blessed day when all the hujjaaj are busy on the Arafah mountain seeking Allah's forgiveness and blessings whilst those of us not with them aim to receive share of our blessings from ALLAH in shaa ALLAH. The recommended Invocation to be recited on this day as recommended by the Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is لا إِلَهَ إلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَريكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ ولَهُ الحَمْدُ وهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَديرٌ. Laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa Huwa alaa kulli shay'in Qadeer. Meaning: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things. At-Tirmithi No 3585. We should strive to recite it as much as possible then we can also recite this zikir with intention to whatever we need from Allah: "laailaaha illaa Anta Astaghfiruka Wa Atuubu ilaik, yaa Allah yaa hayyu yaa qayyuum biRahmatika astaqeeth meaning oh Allah there is none worthy of our worship except you, you are the living and maintainer of life so with your mercy I seek your help. As many times as we can. Let's not waste any moment of our time and cry to ALLAH for guidance in life and seeking HIS MERCY AND FORGIVENESS. May ALLAH answer our dua for each other. Aameen.
