THIRD REMINDER. Yaumul Al-Sabt, 16th day of Shawwaal (Saturday, 30th June). THE MOST EFFECTIVE GOOD DEEDS IN EXPIATING OUR SINS continues. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Sheikh Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The greater a person’s Tawheed (affirmation of the Oneness of Allah), the more complete will Allah’s forgiveness of him be. Whoever meets HIM not associating anything with HIM at all, HE will forgive him all his sins, no matter what they were, and he will not be punished for them. Secondly: The words of ALLAH, “And whosoever fears ALLAH and keeps his duty to HIM, HE will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And HE will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine” [at-Talaaq 65:2] offer a great promise to the pious who fear ALLAH. The one who fears ALLAH is the one who fulfills obligatory duties and avoids things that are forbidden. That includes the one who sins, then repents and turns to ALLAH, and the one who goes back to sin,...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaumul Al-Sabt, 16th day of Shawwaal (Saturday, 30th June). THE MOST EFFECTIVE GOOD DEEDS IN EXPIATING OUR SINS BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Imam Muslim narrated in his Saheeh (2687) that Abu Dharr said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah, may HE be glorified and exalted, said: Whoever does a good deed will have a ten fold reward and more, and whoever does a bad deed its recompense is one like it, or I will forgive him.” Allahu Akbar. It was narrated from Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Muusah (peace be upon him) said: ‘O Lord, teach me something by which I may remember You and call upon You.’ He said: ‘Say: Laa ilaaha ill- ALLAH (there is none worthy of worship but Allah).’ He said: ‘O Lord, all Your slaves say that.’ He said: ‘Say: Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah.’ He said: ‘There is no god but You, my Lord, but I wanted somet...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul Al-Sabt, 16th day of Shawwaal (Saturday, 30th June). SOME NON MUSLIMS ASK WHY ALLAH USES PLURAL "WE" sometimes INSTEAD OF SINGULAR "I". BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The question asked is indeed a very very good question that we always encourage non Muslims and even some Muslims to ask but with open minded and intention of getting to learn about Islam. First lets get one thing clear. And that is the message of Tauheed, One GOD (ALLAH). That is the primary message of the Holy Quran and the same message was brought by every Prophet of ALLAH who ever came to this earth, starting from Aadam upto the Last Messenger Mohammed (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). ALLAH says in Chapter 112, Surah Ikhlas Verse 1-4: Say to mankind if they ask you about ME, ALLAH: HIS name is Allah, the ONE and ONLY. ALLAH is Independent of all, and all are dependent on HIM. Neither has HE any offspring, nor is HE the offspring of anyone; and NONE is equal to HIM in anythin...
THIRD REMINDER: Yaumul Jumuat, 15th day of Shawwaal (Friday, 29th June). TRIBAL MARKS IN ISLAM. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Tribalism and Nationalism is forbidden in Islam says the Prophet so to mark your face to describe your tribe is an insult to what the prophet warned about as it creates division and we are witnessing it today where one tribe will not even offer or accept their daughter or son to marry another tribe AstaghfirulLah. Tribalism is a concept alien to Islam because tribalism calls for unity based on family, whereas Islam binds people together on the `Aqeedah, that is belief in Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saaw). Islam calls for the ideological bond. Grouping the Muslims on tribalistic lines is clearly forbidden. It is narrated by Abu Da'wud that the Messenger of Allah (saaw) said, "He is not one of us who calls for `Asabiyyah, (nationalism/tribalism) or who fights for `Asabiyyah or who dies for `Asabiyyah." And in another Hadith, the Messenger ...
SECOND REMINDER: Yaumul Jumuat, 15th day of Shawwaal (Friday, 29th June). HOW REGULARLY DO WE TEST OUR EEMAAN? BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Once a man asked the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), “What is Eeman (faith)?” He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) replied: “When your good deeds make you happy and your bad deeds make you sad, you have Eeman.” [by Imam Ahmad]. If you sin freely without feeling back but rather enjoy sinning then note that you are a Muslim by name (WaeezubilLah, ALLAH forbid). Firstly, what is good and what is bad? Suppose you immigrate to a country. Aren’t you bound to follow the rules in place there? Those were rules decided by human beings like you, but you are required to submit to them. You don’t have the right to live by rules you design for yourself that conflict with the system. For instance, if you decide to drive on the wrong side of the road, because you think that’s how it should be, it would be a disaster and you may be jailed right? When we ...
FIRST REMINDER: Yaumul Jumuat, 15th day of Shawwaal (Friday, 29th June). FRIDAY IS HERE AGAIN WITH US, LET'S MAKE GOOD USE OF IT. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALLAH The Almighty says; "O believers, when the call is proclaimed for the prayer on Friday or when it's time for Jumuat, come to the remembrance of ALLAH and leave off business, that is better for you if you but did know."Al-Quran 62:9. Summary of Ghusul(pure Islamic bath) before going to Jumuat. Note that sisters can go to jumuat as well but its optional for them. First, the Muslim should make their intentions for purification; just make up your mind that you are going to take your ghusul for jumuat that’s all. You can first take your normal bath to clean any dirt or first wash ur private parts then make wudu like the wudu done for prayer, pour water from your head to wash your right side, then the left side. Make sure your entire body is washed properly. It is also reported in the sunnah that the wash...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 14th day of Shawwaal (Thursday 28th June). KUFUR (DISBELIEF) AND ITS VARIOUS FORMS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first and second Reminder; The kufr of turning away in arrogance, such as the kufr of Iblees of whom Allah says: “… except Iblees (Satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allah)” [Al-Baqarah 2:34]. And Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “They (hypocrites) say: ‘We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger (Muhammad), and we obey,’ then a party of them turn away thereafter, such are not believers” [An-Noor 24:47]. So Allah has stated that those who do not act in accordance with faith are not believers, even if they utter the words of faith. The kufr of turning away means that one ignores the truth and does not learn it or act in accordance with it, whether it is the matter of words, actions or beliefs. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “....Bu...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 14th day of Shawwaal (Thursday 28th June). KUFUR (DISBELIEF) AND ITS VARIOUS FORMS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first Reminder; The scholars based on their study of the Quran and Sunnah has divided kufr into a number of categories, under which they listed many forms and kinds of shirk. These are as follows: 1. The kufr of denial and rejection. This kufr may sometimes take the form of disbelief in the heart which occurs rarely among the kuffaar, as Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said and sometimes it takes the form of outward or apparent rejection, which means concealing the truth and not submitting to it outwardly, whilst recognizing it and knowing it inwardly, such as the Jews’ rejection of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). ALLAH says of them (interpretation of the meaning): “...then when there came to them that which they had recognized, they disbelieved in it...” [Al-Baqarah...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 14th day of Shawwaal (Thursday 28th June). KUFUR (DISBELIEF) AND ITS VARIOUS FORMS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The reality of kufr and its various kinds is a lengthy topic, but we may sum it up in the following; The importance of knowing what kufr is and the forms it may take: The texts of the Qur’aan and Sunnah indicate that faith is not valid and is not accepted unless two conditions are met, which are what are implied by the testimony that there is none worthy of worship except Allah. These two conditions are submission to ALLAH alone (Tawheed), and denouncing and shunning all kinds of kufr and shirk. A person cannot denounce or shun anything unless he knows what it is. From this we understand the importance of knowing what Tawheed is, so that we may act accordingly and attain Tawheed, and knowing what kufr and shirk is so that we may avoid them and steer clear of them. Kufr in Arabic means covering and concealing something. In shar’ia ter...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Ar-Raaba'ā, 13th day of Shawwal (Wednesday, 27th June). CARING FOR OUR WIVES MUST BE A PRIORITY OF EVERY HUSBAND. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's conclude on our topic this morning, The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) regarded being kind to one's family as being the criterion with regard to who is best. Whoever wants to be one of the best of the Muslims should be kind to his family, which includes being kind to one’s wife, children and relatives.  The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “You will never spend anything seeking thereby the Face of Allah, but you will be rewarded for it, even (the food) that you put in your wife’s mouth.” Narrated by al-Bukhari, 56.  ALLAH created women perfectly and they all have good qualities as well as bad behaviors. It's a duty of each husband to ensure you get the best behavior out of your wife. There is nothing like bad wife. If your wife have change to be bad, ...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Ar-Raaba'ā, 13th day of Shawwal (Wednesday, 27th June). CARING FOR OUR WIVES MUST BE A PRIORITY OF EVERY HUSBAND. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first reminder. If you couldn't receive it please request for a copy. It is narrated from authentic hadith that; Mu’awiyah ibn Haydah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: I said, “O Messenger of ALLAH, what are the rights of the wife over the husband?” He said: “That you should feed her when you feed yourself, clothe her when you clothe yourself, you should not hit her on the face, you should not curse her and you should not forsake her except in the house. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) enjoined good treatment of women in more than one hadeeth. Hence the husband has to fear ALLAH with regard to his wife, and give each person his or her rights. Honouring one's parents and upholding the ties of kinship do not conflict with treating one's wife kindl...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Ar-Raaba'ā, 13th day of Shawwal (Wednesday, 27th June). CARING FOR OUR WIVES MUST BE A PRIORITY OF EVERY HUSBAND. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Marriage in Islam is a covenant or contract between us and ALLAH as such we will be accountable to ALLAH as to how we handled someone's daughter we went for by accepting to cater for her as instructed by ALLAH and HIS Messenger. The husband has to treat his wife in a good and kind manner, and to spend on her food, drink, clothing and accommodation, because ALLAH says in the QUR'AN; “and live with them honourably (the wives)”[al-Nisa 4:19]. How do you honour an important guest to your home? Our wives deserve better than that. ALLAH says in the QUR'AN; “And they (women) have rights (over their husbands as regards living expenses) similar (to those of their husbands) over them (as regards obedience and respect) to what is reasonable, but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them. And ALLAH is All-M...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha 13th day of Shawwal (Tuesday 26th June). THE REALITY OF DEATH CONTINUES FROM THE MORNING REMINDER. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first and second reminders. If you couldn't receive any please request for a copy. Death is Pre-Established: Death will occur at a fixed time. The time is, of course, unknown to us. The place, the time, the way in which each of us will die is known only to ALLAH. The death of each of us has been pre-recorded in a book by ALLAH. It cannot be brought about or avoided so why are we wasting our time palling wealth through the haraam means for even some? ALLAH says in the QUR'AN; "Wherever you are death will find you out, even if you are in the towers built up strong and high..." (Qur'an An-Nisa 4:11). Again; "It is HE who gives Life and causes Death: and when HE decides upon an affair, He says to it, ‘Be’ - and it is."(Qur'an Ghafir 40:68). Death cannot be cau...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha 13th day of Shawwal (Tuesday 26th June). THE REALITY OF DEATH CONTINUES FROM THE MORNING REMINDER. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALLAH says in the Qur’an: "Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is saved away from the fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing)." (Qur'an Al-Imran 3:185). Is this verse not enough for us to fear this life? We should exert all efforts in attaining Paradise and pay great attention to avoiding prohibitions and deeds, which may inevitably lead us to Hell. ALLAH says "Say: Verily, the death from which you flee will surely meet you, then you will be sent back to (ALLAH), the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, and HE will tell you what you used to do."(Qur'an 21:34). I'm certain each of us knows about all these but it's ...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha 12th day of Shawwal (Tuesday 26th June). THE REALITY OF DEATH AHEAD of us. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: "Remember much, that which cuts off pleasure: Death, since no-one remembers it in times of difficulty, except that things are made easy for him, nor mentions it at times of ease, except that the affairs become constricted for him." Saheehul-Jaami’us Sagheer, no 1222. Many humans live the life of this world, seeking the best that it has to offer, while ignoring what lies ahead of us upon death. The adornment of this world are but temptations to distract us from the true purpose of our life and that we will indeed be responsible for all we do in this life. Let's note that Death is a harsh and fearful reality faced by everyone who lives. No one has the power to avoid it, nor does anyone around the dying person have the ability to prevent it. We see and hear ma...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn, 11th day of Shawwaal (Monday 25th June). CAUSES OF DIVORCE IN ISLAM. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first and second reminders. If you couldn't receive any please request for a copy. Another very important causes of marriage divorce is the fact that the wife Ignored her parents without their support and went ahead with the marriage SubhaanAllah. NEVER EVER DO this sister. Regardless of what your parents have done, never ever marry without their support even if the man is the Imam of Macca please. The reason is not only that the marriage maybe invalid, the main reason which is based on my little experience in marriage counseling is that as soon as ALLAH test both of you in the marriage such as the delay in conceiving or Satan is allowed into the marriage, both point fingers straight to the parents who were not in support of the Marriage in the first place. In most cases they are innocent but Satan is clever and his n...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn, 11th day of Shawwaal (Monday 25th June). CAUSES OF DIVORCE IN ISLAM. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first reminder. If you couldn't receive it please request for a copy. After finding the right partner, it's important neither does not mention any of your past bad experience to each other but rather only the good. You hope ALLAH have forgiven you so do not mention your past bad habits unless a specific question is asked by the other and you telling the truth might help create good trust between each time. One most important factor that causes marriage divorce is the wife in particular communicating with her Ex boyfriend or Ex husband SubhaanAllah. As soon as you marry, please END any communication with your Ex boyfriend in particular because the jealous of we the men is DANGEROUS. Never say anything about your ex boyfriend to your husband unless if he ask you something specific about it. Never compare your Ex to...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn, 11th day of Shawwaal (Monday 25th June). CAUSES OF DIVORCE IN ISLAM. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. I always remind each other that Islam is a complete ways of life. We have signed a covenant with ALLAH to live in this world by HIS rules and in return, HE promised to reward our efforts with Paradise. As Muslims, we must focus on this basic fact and ensure we strive to please ALLAH in all we do through patience and perseverance and through the teachings and ways our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Marriage is a very important covenant between us and ALLAH. Both couple must go into the marriage with one very important reason which is to earn Paradise base on how we handle each other. When we focus on pleasing ALLAH then we may ignore each others errors in the marriage and ensure our enemy (Satan), does not get any space into the marriage. One most important causes of marriage divorce is marrying the wrong partner or marrying ...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaumul Ahad 10th day of Shawwal (Sunday, 24th June). *_MOST IMPORTANT QUALITY OF A MAN OR WOMAN AS AN IDEAL LIFE PARTNER_*. *_SECRETE FOR BROTHERS AND ESPECIALLY FOR SISTERS TO NOTE_*. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first and second reminders. Please request for a copy if you couldn't receive any. When a wife becomes submissive before her husband in humility, the man will automatically bow his heart before her, and love her sincerely. I tell you that every true man does not need sex as a priority, but submissive nature type. It is submission that truly makes you a romantic wife. So be the African queen you want to be but when it comes to dealing with your husband, play the role of a humble maid. Don't forget that it is the spirit of humility that has caused many maids to hijack their mistresses' husbands. Be your man's queen and be his maid also. Aside all these, if any of the two has no Eemaan through knowledge of Islam, ...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaumul Ahad 10th day of Shawwal (Sunday, 24th June). MOST IMPORTANT QUALITY OF A MAN OR WOMAN AS AN IDEAL LIFE PARTNER. SECRETE FOR BROTHERS AND ESPECIALLY FOR SISTERS TO NOTE. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first reminder. Please request for a copy if you couldn't receive the first reminder. There is this young girl who is very beautiful and sexually active. Due to that she thought sex is all that matters to a man. Ironically, she struggled for long before finally getting married. Her sexual activeness could not win her the heart of a man until out of the blue and reason beyong imagination a very handsome good man married her. The wedding was grand and her tears were now gone. Unfortunately only a year after the wedding the marriage fell on rocks. Within five years three different men came her way but none could stay. The problem was simple. She thought sex was all that matters so she would never submit. But SUBMISSION is what men...
FIRST REMINDER. Sunnah making (sexual intercourse) is an important element in marriage and until there is this sunnah between a husband and a wife, the marriage is not yet spiritually recognised. This shows how important sunnah making is in marriage. When you look at how agressive men are towards sunnah making you may think that what a man needs from a woman is the sexual. Of course, if he has not married you yet or he does not really intend to marry you what he will need from you is nothing above your body. But if he really intends to marry you or if you guys are already married, sunnah making is never the priority to be sincere - maybe let me say it better; "WHAT A MAN NEEDS MOST FROM A WOMAN AND VICE VERSA IS NOT SEXUAL." Many young girls in particular think becau...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Al-Sabt, 9th day of Shawwal (Saturday, 23rd June). OFFERING SALUTATIONS [Salawaat] ON OUR BELOVED PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam), IT'S MERIT and EXCELLENCE. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first and second reminders. Please request for a copy if you couldn't receive any. Though one can recite the salawaat without any limit at all permissible time either in heart or by tongue, but scholars in the light of Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)’s traditions have identified situations when it should be offered: 1. In the prayers after Tashah’hud as narrated by Abu Mas’ood Uqbah bin Amr Ansari, Fuzala bin Ubaidah. 2. In the funeral prayer after the second Takbeer. 3. In the congregational prayers of Jumu'a, Eid-ul-Fitr, and Eid-ul-Adha. [Musnad Ahmad] 4. After Azaan [Muslim - 384] 5. When making Du’a/supplication. 6. While entering and leaving the Masjid. [Abu Dawood, Tirmizi] 7. On the mounts of Safa and Marw...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-Sabt, 9th day of Shawwal (Saturday, 23rd June). OFFERING SALUTATIONS [Salawaat] ON OUR BELOVED PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam), IT'S MERIT and EXCELLENCE. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first reminder. Please request for a copy if you couldn't receive it. Aayah 56 of Surah Ahzaab says: “Indeed ALLAH and HIS angels send blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe, you should ask and send blessings and peace on him.” Allah’s showering blessings on HIS Messenger means that HE, ALLAH is very kind to HIS Prophet. HE praises him, blesses his work, exalts his name, and showers HIS mercies on him. Blessings of the angels mean: Angels love the Prophet most dearly and pray to ALLAH to bless him with the highest ranks in Paradise, cause his religion and Shari’ah to flourish and exalt him to the laudable position. In our invocation we mean: “Yaa ALLAH (SWT), the Lord of the worlds: just as your Prophet has done us count...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Al-Sabt, 9th day of Shawwal (Saturday, 23rd June). OFFERING SALUTATIONS [Salawaat] ON OUR BELOVED PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam), IT'S MERIT and EXCELLENCE. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. PROPHETS and MESSENGERS have always served as a link between the Creator and the created. They are the only source of divine guidance for mankind. It is only through them that we recognize our CREATOR and are able to distinguish right from wrong and vice from virtue. They are the ones who lead us light by practicing the Message they were sent with. They taught why and how to please ALLAH (Perfect is HE) and they are the ones who have warned us against ALLAH displeasure and wrath. Reward and punishment and success and failure, Aayah 43 of Surah Al-Aa’raf tells us that the people favoured for Paradise while entering will say: “Praise be to ALLAH, Who guided us to this [Paradise]: had ALLAH not guided us, we would have never found the way…” And they will soon a...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaumul Jumuat 8th day of Shawwal (Friday 22nd June). FORBIDDEN EVIL and ENJOINING GOOD MUST BE OUR PRIORITY. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALLAH mentioned in the QUR'AN that when The Children or Family of Israel abandoned forbidden evil and enjoining good, ALLAH (Glorified and Exalted be HE) punished them as ALLAH says: Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Daawud (David, AS) and ‘Eesah (Jesus Christ, AS), son of Maryam (Mary, AS). That was because they disobeyed (ALLAH and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds. The nature of their disobedience is clearly explained in al-Maa’idah, Quran 5:78, where ALLAH says: They used not to forbid one another from Al-Munkar (wrong, evil-doing, sins, polytheism, disbelief) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do. Thus, their refraining from forbidding one another from evil was regarded as their worst disobedience and transgression, as explained in...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaumul Jumuat 8th day of Shawwal (Friday 22nd June). Let's continue from the morning reminder on staying steadfast in obedience to the Creator (ALLAH). Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. If the charity in Ramadan and zakat ul-fitr have ended, then there is the obligatory Zakat, and also there are many other open doors to charity, voluntary actions and jihad(Striving to defeat our evil actions). Reading of the Qur'an and contemplating it is not only for Ramadan, rather it is for all times. Righteous actions are for all times and all places, so let's strive my brothers and sisters and beware of laziness. And remember that it is not allowed for us to leave the obligatory actions or delay them, such as the five daily prayers on time, in congregation etc. And do not fall into forbidden actions, such as forbidden sayings, food and drinks, or by looking at or listening to what is forbidden. Be steadfast and upright upon the Deen of ALLAH at all times, for you...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul Jumuat 8th day of Shawwal (Friday 22nd June). STAYING STEADFAST AFTER RAMADAN_*. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Been Muslims of the creator not for Ramadan means we must continuously be in the state of obedience to ALLAH'S, firm upon His rules, steadfast upon His Deen, so that we are not of those who worship ALLAH only during one month or only in one place. Rather, the believer knows that the Lord of Ramadan is also the Lord of other months, and that HE is the Lord of all times and places, so he is steadfast upon the rules of the creator until we meets Him while He is pleased with us. If standing in prayer at night during Ramadan has ended, then there remains voluntary night prayer throughout the year. Let's strive in getting closer to our Creator and abandon satan bcs he is our enemy. To be continued in shaa Allah. Please remember today is our mini Eid day so please prepare well as you did for eidul Fitir. Send more salutations to our beloved messen...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 7th day of Shawwal(Thursday, 21st June). HOW TO MOTIVATE OURSELVES TO BOOST OUR EEMAAN(FAITH). Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's conclude on our topic today. Please request for a copy if you missed any Another important way to motivate ourselves is to visit the hospitals regularly to check those who have completed universities but lying on a small bed and can't even eat. Their certificates are not of importance to them. They are thinking of what to tell Allah when they die. Also think about those who couldn't attend the high school we attended but they are in masjids making Dua praying their Salaat not bcs they have nothing. They can't even afford a mobile phone we are holding to chat with each other. Go to our various masjids to find imams who can't speak English and who can't write their names in English but they are imams in masjids striving to please Allah. Find those who have memorize the Qur'an but can't wri...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 7th day of Shawwal(Thursday, 21st June). HOW TO MOTIVATE OURSELVES TO BOOST OUR EEMAAN(FAITH) continues. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. We must reset our lifestyle if we truly need ALLAH to change our life for better. ALLAH says in the Qur'an that HE does not change the condition of anyone till the person changes his or her life to HIS obedience. How do we implement an emotional reset? The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, gave us the solution for this by saying: "Remember more often the destroyer of pleasures - death." (At-Tirmidhi, 579). Indeed, remembering the trials surrounding the experience of death knocks us back into a state of true awareness. By “remember” I do not simply mean the act of recalling; we mean internalizing the reality that awaits us and the understanding that our actions will determine the severity or ease of the experience. Qur'an Chapters 81 and 82 portray graphic imagery of the end of this world as we...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 7th day of Shawwal(Thursday, 21st June). HOW TO MOTIVATE OURSELVES TO BOOST OUR EEMAAN(FAITH). Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The simplest definition of the word ‘motivation’ is ‘that which drives us to action’. It may be one or more thing that trigger a desire or need to behave in a certain way. The desire is usually coupled with a potential consequence, either reward or punishment. Some say that we are motivated by external rewards for behaving in a certain way. As human beings, we are drawn to questions such as, “What’s the point of this?” or “Why am I here?” whenever we attempt something and, particularly, when we find it to be difficult. We want work to be meaningful in the long run, want to feel we are doing something worthwhile, and we want to feel validated. We apply this need not just to day-to-day work but to life itself. At some point, any individual is bound to ask, “Why?” ALLAH Almighty has already answered this question for us: "...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Ar-Raaba'a, 6th day of Shawwaal (Wednesday 20th June). DO NOT CURSE OR ABUSE ANYONE. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's conclude on our topic today. Please request for a copy if you missed any. It's a sad reality that most times we see parents and their children abusing and cursing bcs they don't agree to their sons or daughters choice of marriage partner AstaghfirulLah. We also see parents trying to force their sons and daughters into marriages they don't agree to and leads to curses and abuses. How can we stop this especially the children on difficult parents. First approach your mum. If your mother loves receiving flowers or anything else she loves, then do that for her before you speak to her. Tell her how much you love her and that you want the best for her in the dunya and the akhirah. And then go on to tell her about the importance of your decision, why you chose that brother or sister and what it means not to support you. Te...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Ar-Raaba'a, 6th day of Shawwaal (Wednesday 20th June). CURSING AND ABUSING EACH OTHER IS NOT ISLAMIC. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the morning reminder. The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: Verily, when a servant curses something, the curse rises to the heaven and the gates of heaven close upon it. It turns right and left and if it does not find somewhere to go, it will return to that which was cursed only if it deserved to be curse; otherwise, the curse will return to the one who made it. Sunan Abu Dawud 4905. Imran ibn Hussein reported: We were with the Messenger of Allah during some of his travels and a woman from the Ansar was on a camel and she abused it and cursed it. When the Prophet heard that, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: خُذُوا مَا عَلَيْهَا وَدَعُوهَا فَإِنَّهَا مَلْعُونَةٌ Unload the camel and set it free, for verily, it has been cursed. Sahih ...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Ar-Raaba'a, 6th day of Shawwaal (Wednesday 20th June). DO NOT CURSE OR ABUSE ANYONE. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Our beloved Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: وَلَعْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَقَتْلِهِ وَمَنْ رَمَى مُؤْمِنًا بِكُفْرٍ فَهُوَ كَقَتْلِهِ Cursing a believer is like killing him and charging a believer with unbelief is like killing him. Sahih Bukhari 5754. Abu Hurairah may Allah be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: لَا يَنْبَغِي لِصِدِّيقٍ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَعَّانًا It is not befitting the truthful that they curse others. Sahih Muslim 2597. Abdullah ibn Mas’ud said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: لَيْسَ الْمُؤْمِنُ بِالطَّعَّانِ وَلَا اللَّعَّانِ وَلَا الْفَاحِشِ وَلَا الْبَذِيءِ The believer does not taunt others, he does not curse others, he does not use profanity, and he does not abuse others. Sunan At-Tirmidhi 1977. From the a...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha. 5th day of Shawwaal. MANNERS OF ASSEMBLY AND GATHERING continues. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever sits in a place and does not remember ALLAH will earn the displeasure of ALLAH, and whoever lies down for sleep and does not remember ALLAH will earn the displeasure of ALLAH. Sunan Abu Dawud 5040. There are many manners to learn so let's strive to study our deen through authentic sources without following any religious sect other than those following strictly Qur'an and Sunnah, the Salaf way not what your imam says if he has no proof from the sunnah. Let's humbly request for proofs for what our fathers and imams says when it's about an act of worship so that we can stay away from religious innovations. May ALLAH aid us through our efforts to please HIM. Aameen.
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha. 5th day of Shawwaal. MANNERS OF ASSEMBLY AND GATHERING continues. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: It is not lawful for a man to sit between two people unless he has their permission. Sunan Abu Dawud 4845. Abu Barza reported: Toward the end of his life the Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, would say when leaving an assembly: سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ O Allah, glory and praise be to you. I testify there is no God but you, I ask your forgiveness and I repent to you. A man said to him, “O Messenger of ALLAH, you have spoken words never you have never uttered before.” The Prophet said: كَفَّارَةٌ لِمَا يَكُونُ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ It is an expiation for what happens during the assembly. Sunan Abu Dawud 4859. So AlhamdulilLah hope you've just learned what to say jus...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha. 5th day of Shawwaal. MANNERS OF ASSEMBLY AND GATHERING. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Because Islam is a complete way of life, it has guidance for all aspects of life for those who chooses to follow the Qur'an and sunnah. If we don't learn from the Salaf books (predecessors after the Messenger of Allah, the companions and their students till date), we will end up following what our forefathers said which are mostly the sources of religious innovations as ALLAH and HIS Messenger warned us against in the Quran not to follow our forefathers footsteps unless those who were strict on following the sunnah. Among the complete ways of life are the etiquette or manners when we gather anywhere which Imam An-Nawawi records in his book Riyad us-Saliheen: Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Do not ask someone to give up his seat to another, but rather make it easy and provide accommodation. Sahih Muslim 2...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn, 4th day of Shawwaal (Monday 18th June). HATRED AND ANGER IS A SATAN'S ATTRIBUTE DON'T EMULATE SHEITAN continues. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ibn Abbas may ALLAH be pleased with him reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would supplicate by saying, “O Lord, help me and do not help against me, support me and do not support against me, plan for me and do not plan against me. Guide me and make guidance easy for me. Support me against those who transgress against me. O Lord, make me gratefully some s see at all my to you, mindful of you, fearful of you, obedient to you, humble to you, turning to you and repenting. O Lord, accept my repentance, wash away my sin, answer my supplication, establish my proof, direct my tongue, guide my heart, and take out the malice in my chest.” Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3551. May ALLAH aid us to emulated the excellent qualities of our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam and protect us f...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn, 4th day of Shawwaal (Monday 18th June). HATRED AND ANGER IS A SATAN'S ATTRIBUTE DON'T EMULATE SHEITAN. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As Muslims it's important we purify our hearts and intentions for ALLAH sake. We should be sad to see someone disobey ALLAH then instead of criticising the person, make dua for ALLAH to forgive and guide the person without washing his dirty cloth in public. Hatred towards another Muslim is a major crime. None is sinless so criticise yourself always not others. We can hate someone's wrongs and make dua for them but must not hate the person himself, bcs yours maybe worse but ALLAH is concealing from the public. Let's make dua regularly for ALLAH to purify our hearts. Some just sit waiting for others to make mistakes then jump into the public without making any effort to help the person secretly. We are all guilty of this satanic plot so let's do a reality check to ourselves before criticizing othe...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn, 4th day of Shawwaal (Monday 18th June). RAMADHAN IS GONE AND MASJIDS BACK TO EMPTY MODE SUBHAANALLAH. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. It's a sad reality that majority of us today are Muslims of Occasions such as Jumuat Muslims, Ramadhan Muslims etc. May ALLAH have mercy on us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen. Let's fear ALLAH brothers and sisters in Islam and be Muslims full time and in all time. Imam Abu Huraira may ALLAH be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “If people knew the virtues in the call to prayer and the first row of prayer and that they could not get it without drawing lots, then they would surely draw lots. If they knew the virtue in joining prayer at the beginning of its time, then they would race to it. If they knew the virtue in prayer at evening and at dawn, then they would surely come even if they had to crawl.” Saheeh Bukhari 590, Saheeh ̣ Musli...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaumul Ahad. 3rd day of Shawwal (Sunday 17th June). SOME STEPS TO PROTECT US FROM SATAN'S RETURN CONTINUES. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's Keep our tongue moist with Dhikr. ALLAH loves dhikr. ALLAH loves the one who does dhikr. It is said that if ALLAH loves you, HE allows you to recite dhikr often. With the exception of doing salah and reading Quran, we should try to do dhikr often. Dhikr comes in many flavors and forms.  Some examples of Dhikr are: Astaghfirullah - 100x or more Laa ilaha IllalLah - 100x or more Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar. Subhanallahi WabihamdiHi, Subhanallahil Azeem. Allahumma ajirna minan-naar 100x and after every fard salah we should Recite Aayatul Qursi. Recite Shahadah "Ash hadu al laa ilaha illallahu wahdahu laasharika lahu, lahul mulk, wa lahul hamdu, wa la hawla wala quwwata illah bilLah. And many more that you've learned. If you haven't started fasting for your Ramadan fasting debts please makeup y...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaumul Ahad. 3rd day of Shawwal (Sunday 17th June). SOME STEPS TO PROTECT US FROM SATAN'S RETURN. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Don't make the Quran a decoration piece until next Ramadan. Let's try our best each day to recite the Quran atleast 30 minutes each day as minimum. We should also try to understand the meaning of what we read. If we don't do this then we can't understand what it is that ALLAH is trying to tell us. And ofcourse, We should learn to live our lives with the teachings from the Quran. This is the true way to show ALLAH that we love HIM and we do everything for HIS pleasure. TO BE CONTINUED. Please accept my apologies if I could not respond to your questions for the past few days especially yesterday. Please resend your questions. I will strive to respond today be-iznilLah. May ALLAH grant us the love of the Quran. Aameen.
FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul Ahad. 3rd day of Shawwal (Sunday 17th June). WHAT NEXT AFTER RAMADAN. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Are we Muslims for ALLAH or Muslims for Ramadan? If you are a Muslim for Ramadan then note that Ramadan is gone but if you are a Muslim for ALLAH then note that ALLAH is watching us so let's fear HIM and avoid going back to our sinful acts. Even though the month of Ramadan is gone, sunnah fastings must continue to aid us from avoiding going back to our sinful acts. We now have 6 days fasting in shawwal aside mondays, Thursday's, 13th, 14th and 15th each Islamic calendar sunnah fastings if we truly wants to get closer to ALLAH and abandon sheitan for good. Abu Ayyoob (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever fasts Ramadaan and follows it with six days of Shawwaal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.” (Narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nisaa’i a...
SPECIAL REMINDER. Yaumul Jumuat 1st day of Shawwaal. EID MUBARAK TO ALL. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah Thummalhamdulillah for guiding us till this blessed joyous day. Sadly, Ramadhan is gone But most importantly, ALLAH is always with us as such Ramadhan mood should remain for ALLAH sake. For those who are not praying today, we love you all, we pray that Allah accept it from us all. May ALLAH accept all our good ibaadaat in Ramadan, and forgive our mistakes. May ALLAH ease the pains of all suffering Muslims and grant us victory over the kuffar. May Allah heal all sick Muslims, May Allah grant us pious husbands and wives. May Allah bless our marriages and grant us pious children. May ALLAH protect us from any satanic influences. May Allah increase us in eemaan and increase us in knowledge of the deen. May Allah purify our hearts and grant us whatever will benefit our eemaan. May Allah grant us the best of this world and unite us in Jannatul Firdaus. Aa...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 29th/30th day of Ramadaan (Thursday 14th June). ZAKAATUL FITIR REMINDER. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. This is to humbly remind all brothers and sisters who hasn't offered their zakaatul fitir to do so on time to aid the poor. Please note that we cannot give money to the poor as our zakaatul fitir. It must be dry food such as rice, maize, wheat, dates etc. If you are given money to anyone on behalf of the poor, please ensure they use the money to buy food for the poor. A father or guardian is to offer for his entire nuclear family such as to cover the wife, the children and those under his care as guardian. If the head of the family cannot afford and any of the children can support him do that. It must be given before eid salaat. Anything given after Eid salaat is not considered zakaatul fitir. If Shawwal crescent is sighted tonight then eid will be tomorrow Friday and if not then Ramadan ends on Friday then Eid on Saturday in shaa Allaah....
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 29th/30th day of Ramadaan (Thursday 14th June). HOW TO OFFER EID PRAYER BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ibn Abbass (ra) reported: " I participated in the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer with the Messenger of ALLAH (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), Abu Bakr (ra), Umar (ra) and Uthman (ra), and all of them held Eid prayer before Khutbah, and then the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) delivered the Khutbah (sermon). (Narrated by Imam Muslim). Who should go to the prayer ground & offer Eid Prayer: Umm Atiyah (ra) reported: "The Messenger of ALLAH (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) commanded us to bring out on Eid-al-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha, young women, hijab-observing adult women and the menstruating women. The menstruating women stayed out of actual Salaat but participated in good deeds and Duaa (supplication). I (Umm Atiyah) said to the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam): Oh! Messenger of ALLAH, one does not have an outer garment. He replied:...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 29th/30th day of Ramadaan (Thursday 14th June). *_ALL WE NEED TO KNOW AND PREPARE FOR EIDUL FITIR_*. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. EID-UL-FITR is celebrated on the first day of Shaw'waal, at the completion of RAMADAAN which is likely to be Tomorrow Friday subject to moon sighting this evening in Shaa ALLAH as such Fasting continues today Thursday. Shaw'waal is the 10th month of the Islamic calendar. The Eid-al-Fitr is a very joyous day; it is a true Thanksgiving Day for the believing men and women. On this day we Muslims show our real joy for the health, strength and the opportunities of life, which Allah has given to us to fulfill our obligation of fasting and other good deeds during the blessed month of Ramadan. Zakaatul fitir that we offer to the poor to enable them enjoy like us is to also mend any errors we made during our 29/30 days Fasting. Sunnah of Eid day. Wake up early. Prepare for personal cleanliness, take care of details of clo...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Ar-Raaba'a 28th/29th day of Ramadhan (Wednesday, 13th June). SOME RECOMMENDED ACTS AFTER RAMADAAN. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam encouraged us to fast on Mondays and Thursdays as our deeds weekly are presented or account to ALLAH on Mondays and Thursdays and it's good to be fasting for Allah sake. Fasting 3 days of each Islamic month termed the white days which falls or 13th, 14th and 15th or 14th, 15th and 16th each Islamic month. You may also want to set yourself the goal of trying to recite more of the Quran, as you did so fervently in Ramadan. So by doing this you will be doing what the Prophet did. It is also one of our Prophet traditions to fast for any six days during the month of Shawwal, the month which follows Ramadan, except of course during the Eid days when we must not fast. Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that: “Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days fr...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Ar-Raaba'a 28th/29th day of Ramadhan (Wednesday, 13th June). HAVE YOU MADE UP YOUR MIND TO STAY WITH ALLAH OR GO BACK TO SHEITAN?Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. My dear brothers and sisters in Islam, Falling short in one's commitment to Islam after Ramadan is Yaum Ar-Raaba'a 28th/29th day of Ramadhan (Wednesday, 13th June). in many ways, including: 1 – Men leaving the five prayers in congregation, after they filled mosques for Taraweeh prayers, thus going to the masjid for recommended prayers and leaving obligatory ones. Are we serious? 2 – Returning to musical entertainment, forbidden films, women displaying their adornment beyond that which ordinarily appears thereof, free mixing etc. 3. Ending Ramadan with so called Sallah Dance, AstaghfirulLah. Intermixing and dancing with haraam music. May Allah protect us and our offspring from such satanic traps. Let's fear ALLAH in all we do. If you don't mine been granted paradise with little e...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Ar-Raaba'a 28th/29th day of Ramadhan (Wednesday, 13th June). WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER RAMADHAN. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ramadhan is a school of eeman and a 'stop to recharge one's spiritual batteries' to acquire one's provision for the rest of the year. For when will one take a lesson and change for better if not in the month of Ramadan? The noble month is a true school of transformation in which we change our actions, habits and manners that are in variance with the Law of ALLAH 'azza wa jall. ALLAH says in Quran: Verily, HE does not change the condition of a people until they change their ways of life. If you are from those who benefited from Ramadhan, fulfilled the requirements of taqwa, truly fasted the month, prayed in it with truthfulness, and strove against your soul, then praise and thank ALLAH, and ask HIM for steadfastness upon it until we return to our Creator. Be not like one who has sawn a shirt and then destroyed i...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha, 27th/28th day of Ramadhan(Tuesday, 12th June). WE CONTINUE FROM THE SECOND REMINDER ON HOW QURAN IS A MEANS TO STEADFASTNESS. If you missed any of the Reminders today, please request for me to share with you. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Please read point 1&2 from the second Reminder. 3. It provides the believer with the correct principles by which he can face the tough circumstances that he endures, as well as providing him with the appropriate criterion with which to weigh and judge matters. 4. It refutes the false claims and suspicions that the enemies of Islam and the hypocrites allege; for example: When the disbelievers of the tribe of Quraysh claimed that Allah had forsaken the Prophet, Allah revealed the following verse which means: “Your Lord has not taken leave of you.” [Quran 93: 3]. This verse emphatically boosted the morale of the Prophet. That's the power of the Quran. When the Prophet was worried for not receiving revel...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha, 27th/28th day of Ramadhan (Tuesday, 12th June). HOW TO REMAIN STEADFAST IN ISLAM continues. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Islam is a complete way of life. ALLAH has taught us all we need to get to Jannat (Paradise) through the Quran and teachings of our beloved Messenger of ALLAH Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. The Quran is the main means for one to remain steadfast, and attachment to it preserves and safeguards a person during trials. He who abides by it will be protected by ALLAH, and he who calls people to it will himself be guided to the straight path. ALLAH informs us that the reason behind HIM revealing the Quran in segments and over a long period is that it would thereby be a means for steadfastness. He Almighty Says what means: “And those who disbelieve say: ‘Why was the Quran not revealed to him all at once?’ Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly.” [Quran 25: 32]. Why is the Quran...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha, 27th/28th day of Ramadhan(Tuesday, 12th June). LET'S STEP UP FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS LEFT AS STEADFASTNESS IS THE WAY TO PARADISE. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Istiqaama (steadfastness) in Islam is a basic requirement for every Muslim. We are required to be steadfast in all good deeds without any laziness. Those who do that enjoys what ALLAH promised in Suuratul Fussilat (41): 30-32. Read for yourself to see how beautiful this promise of ALLAH is. Among them is our salaat and it's timing. As soon as you finish offering your fajir you start programing yourself for zuhur wherever you maybe. Striving to please your parents, supporting any charitable activities. Visiting the sick. Helping fellow Muslims in need especially the orphans. Striving to obey ALLAH and ignore any satanic influences. Making dua regularly towards ALLAH'S protection etc. The next few days may be crucial towards our success this month in shaa Allah or failure may ...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn, 26th/27th day of RAMADAAN (Monday 11th June). PRAISING OURSELVES IS HARAAM AND DANGEROUS ATTRIBUTE. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first and second reminders. If you didn't receive any please request for a copy (those on Whatsapp). Remembering the punishment for pride and arrogance should help us avoid self praises. In a Hadeeth on the authority of Ibn Mas‘ood may ALLAH be pleased with him the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam informed that he who harbors pride in his heart, even equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed, will not enter Paradise. [In Saheeh Muslim]. This is serious isn't it? Remembering that arrogance causes defeat and failure can also protect us from any form of pride and arrogance. ALLAH Says (what means): "And do not be like those who came forth from their homes insolently and to be seen by people. [Quran 8:47] this refers to the people of Quraysh when they went into the Battle of B...
SECOND REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn, 26th/27th day of RAMADAAN (Monday 11th June). PRAISING OURSELVES IS HARAAM AND DANGEROUS ATTRIBUTE. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first reminder. If you didn't receive it please request for a copy (those on Whatsapp). The cure for pride and arrogance in the Islamic movement or any other is by remembering the following: Remembering the Greatness of ALLAH, The Almighty, and that Pride is one of HIS Attributes as such you dare compare yourself to OUR CREATOR. In a Hadeeth on the authority of Abu Hurayrah the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam reported that ALLAH The Almighty said that Pride, Glory and Greatness are among HIS Attributes which none of HIS CREATION shares with HIM. Thus, he who claims to possess such qualities, ALLAH will punish him and doom him to Hell. [In Saheeh Muslim]. Remembering man's origin and weakness. ALLAH Says (what means): HE created man from a sperm-drop; then at once he is a clear ad...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn, 26th/27th day of RAMADAAN (Monday 11th June). PRAISING OURSELVES IS HARAAM AND DANGEROUS ATTRIBUTE. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Praising one’s own self is a serious satanic influence to make us Proud of ourselves and become arrogance looking down upon others, and ALLAH (The most Perfect) forbade this; ALLAH says (what means): "So do not claim yourselves to be pure; HE is most knowing of who truly fears HIM" [Quran 53:32]. On the other hand, it means being proud of one’s good deeds. This is indeed contrary to the condition of the Prophets, righteous people, and the people of Paradise as they combined between doing good and fearing the punishment of ALLAH. One of our mothers Aa’ishah may Allah be please with her said: “I asked the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam about this verse in which ALLAH says (what means): "And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord...[Quran 23...
