SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-thalaatha 13th day of Shawwal (Tuesday 26th June). THE REALITY OF DEATH CONTINUES FROM THE MORNING REMINDER. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALLAH says in the Qur’an: "Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is saved away from the fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing)." (Qur'an Al-Imran 3:185). Is this verse not enough for us to fear this life? We should exert all efforts in attaining Paradise and pay great attention to avoiding prohibitions and deeds, which may inevitably lead us to Hell. ALLAH says "Say: Verily, the death from which you flee will surely meet you, then you will be sent back to (ALLAH), the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, and HE will tell you what you used to do."(Qur'an 21:34). I'm certain each of us knows about all these but it's just a reminder as reminders only help believers so let's ponder on death always and live our lives as if we only have few minutes to depart to our graves. The big house we are building, the big cars, the fat certificates etc are all useless if obedience and worship of ALLAH is not our main focus in life. Be wise and never build your house on a desert knowing the Storm is on it's way. A word to the wise is enough the wise says. May ALLAH aid us through our preparation to meet HIM. Aameen.
