THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Thalaatha, 21st day of SAFAR 1440, (Tuesday 30th October, 2018). THE SPECIAL PEOPLE OF ALLAH (MIGHTY GOD IN ENGLISH). BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. It is such an incomparable honor to be among the special people of ALLAH …right?! To be among the ones close and beloved to The King of kings, The Owner of the Day of Judgment, The Creator of All Mankind…The All-Powerful, The Eternal…. That’s such a glorious and most noble position. But who are the people of ALLAH? What are their characteristics? What makes them special? This is all mentioned to us in a beautiful hadith of our Noble Messenger, Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him). It was narrated that Anas bin Malik may Allah be pleased with him said: “The Messenger of ALLAH said: ‘ALLAH has HIS own people among mankind.’ They said: ‘O Messenger of ALLAH, who are they?’ He said: ‘The people of the Qur’an are the people of ALLAH and those who are closest to HIM. [Sunan ibn Majah]. Spending tim...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Thalaatha, 21st day of SAFAR 1440, (Tuesday 30th October, 2018). FOOTBALL BETTING IS FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Information reaching me from a Muslim brother in Ghana indicates that some of our Muslim brothers and sisters have turned their daily mode of sustenance into betting or gambling likewise here in Nigeria they call it here bet 9ja i don't know what they called it there at Ghana. Please note that ALL forms of gambling or making money without any work or through trade of a commodity or service is haraam and a source of evil in your life. It's important to note as a Muslim that, you can never find peace in life and can never succeed in life if you choose to disobey ALLAH (Al-Qayyuum, The Maintainer of Life) in anything you do. Our sustenance is with ALLAH(The King of Kings), Satan also has his offer of sustenance so it's a choice for us to strive the halaal way so that ALLAH(ArRahmaan, The Most Gracious) ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 20th day of SAFAR 1440, (Monday 29th October, 2018). THE MEANING OF QURAN, HADITH QUDSI AND HADITH AN-NABAWI. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The word "Quran," a verbal noun, is equivalent in meaning to "qira'ah," as both come from the verb "qara'a" which means "to read or to recite." Quran literally means "a speech revealed from ALLAH (Al-Haaliq,The CREATOR) for reading or reciting." This is one of the miracles of the Quran. Angle Jibreel(Gabriel) alaihi salaam was commanded by ALLAH (Al-Maalik, The boss of the Universe and on judgement day) to reveal and teach the Quran to the Prophet and in return he the prophet peace be upon him is to recite it as it is to mankind and explain its meanings and rulings to us. This is the security of the Quran. It was memorized as it was revealed till today Allahu Akbar. The term "Quran" is mentioned in a number of places throughout the...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 19th day of SAFAR 1440, (Sunday 28th October, 2018). DO YOU REMEMBER THE STORY OF HAJAR (Alaiha Salaam), THE WIFE OF OUR GRANDAD IBRAHEEM ALAYHI SALAAM? Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from our topic in yesterday's reminder. Today is Sunday so relax and enjoy this life changing reminder in Shaa ALLAH without missing a dot or typing Aameen before reading. Giving up and losing hope in ALLAH(ArRaheem, The Most MERCIFUL) essentially mean we don’t truly know or believe in Allah’s Names and Attributes. We don’t believe that HE is The Provider, The Protector, The All-Wise, The Source of Peace, The Giver of Peace, Relief and Victory. It means you think ALLAH(Al-Mu'min, The Guardian of Faith) is not sufficient for you and that's SHIRK. That’s an essential point to remember as soon as one is hit with a hardship. As soon as you visit any pastor, so called maalams or any sourcesayer or fortune teller, you've committed...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Sabt, 18th day of SAFAR 1440, (Saturday 27th October, 2018). DO YOU REMEMBER THE STORY OF HAJAR, THE WIFE OF OUR GRANDAD IBRAHEEM ALAYHI SALAAM? Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. It's a true authentic story so be patient with the length please. I want us to imagine something please. Imagine a husband telling his wife to get dressed because they’re going out. She obeys and follows. They get in the car. He drives far away… until they reach the middle of literally nowhere; a completely deserted area with absolutely nothing around. The husband then asks his wife to step out of the car with their little baby. She asks him why. He doesn’t respond. She gets out. He takes off! She runs after him with the baby asking why he is doing that. He tells her that he is fulfilling a religious duty; ALLAH (AL-hayyu, The Living) inspired him to do that! Let’s allow this to sink in for a moment…This is not a hypothetical scenario, a bed time story or a legend. T...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 16th day of SAFAR 1440, (Thursday 25th October, 2018). LESSONS FROM SUURAH An-NAS (QURAN 114) AND A BRIEF ADVISE. BismilLah. In one of his short talk, Sheikh Nouman Khan reflects and extracts some lessons from Suurah An-Nas (the 114th Chapter of the Qur’an). He began his talk by raising a simple question which is, who is the biggest victim of Satan (shaytan)? In the Qur’an, a lot of bad people are mentioned. Pharaoh comes in the second rank after Satan. Then, he raises another question that is, what are the three names of Allah in the Surah? 1- Rabb An-Nas (Master of the people) 2- Malik An-Nas (King of the people) 3- Illah An-Nas (God of people) The Almighty Allah (The Most High) has mentioned what (Fir`awn) Pharaoh said about himself in the Qur’an: 1- “I am your most exalted Lord.” (An-Nazi`at 79:24). So, Pharaoh said: “I am a ‘rabb’.” He (Pharaoh) attributed to himself the biggest waswasah (whisperings) of shaytan which is suppos...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Arbaā, 15th day of SAFAR 1440, (Tuesday 24th October, 2018). SEEKING GUIDANCE FROM ALLAH. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Allah subhaanahu wa ta`aalaa (exalted is HE) has given HIMSELF Names and attributes (siffat) so that we can know HIM through HIS attributes. What is most amazing and beautiful about Allah’s Names is that through them, you can see how your Creator recognizes the needs of His creation. We all need sustenance; and He is al-Razzaaq, The Provider. We all need love; and He is al-Waduud, The Most Loving. We all need protection; and Allah is al-Hafidh, The Guardian. What we need the most is the very thing of which Allah (swt) has an unlimited supply. And so sometimes we are put through things to know Allah (swt). Sometimes it is to open your eyes to your own flaws so that you can change. But whatever it is, if you realize that the answer to any problem is through HIM, and that He suffices all your needs, then your relief is already a...
