REVIVING THE SUNNA DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 5th day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Thursday, 28th August 2025. BismilLah.  Imam Abu Hurairah may ALLAH be pleased with him narrated that ALLAH’s Messenger sallallaahu Alaihi wasallam said: “If it were not that it would be difficult on my nation, then I would have ordered them to use the siwaak (tooth stick) for each prayer.” [Tirmidhi]. This hadith indicates the view of the Prophet towards the siwaak.  Another sunnah to revive is; Maintaining the 1/3rd rule in eating Miqdam bin Madikarib said: “I heard the Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam say: ‘A human being fills no worse vessel than his stomach. It is sufficient for a human being to eat a few mouthfuls to keep his spine straight. But if he must (fill it), then one third of food, one third for drink and one third for air.’” [Ibn Majah]. Maa Shaa ALLAH. AlhamdulilLah for HIS guidance. May ALLAH keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influenc...
VISITING THE SICK AND HELPING OTHERS  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Arba'a, 4th day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Wednesday, 27th August 2025.    BismilLah.  Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam is reported to have said that: “Feed the hungry, visit the sick, and set free the captives.” [Swahih Bukhari]. The concept of looking out for others is found throughout the teachings of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Sadly, we are regularly aware of people within our community who are afflicted with an illness, big or small. Visiting and spending time with them has two major benefits. You demonstrate love towards another, instantly tightening the bonds of kinship/friendship. Also, to see someone who is unable to function as well as they normally can, is a strong reminder to us all of the blessing of health that we currently have and take for granted. The next time you hear of someone who is ill, try your best to go beyond sending them a ‘get well soon’...
THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF.   DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be fo...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-ithnayn, 2nd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Monday, 25th August 2025. IT IS SADNESS, SHAMELESS AND A DISGRACE TO ISLAAM, STOP IT.    BismilLah. The sad reality of some of our muslim sisters in our Muslim communities especially in Ghana today is beyond imagination. Some sisters share their shameless acts with the public in an attempt to disgrace each other. Some of our sisters have turned into lesbians and adulterers Astaghfirullah and are openly boasting about it. The sad part of these satanic influences is the fact that they prepare videos and audios to speak about these major sins openly SubhaanAllah.  Speaking about your sin and flaunting it openly in front of your friends is haraam, and is a major sin. It is one of the ways of spreading immorality among the Muslims, encouraging evil and tempting others to do similar things. It also means that one does not take sin seriously and regards it as insignificant, and that the sinner is dam...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 1st day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Sunday, 24th August 2025. INPORTANCE OF ASR AND FAJIR SALAAT. BismilLah. First of all, please join me in praising and thanking ALLAH Azzawajal for blessing me with another baby boy yesterday, Alhamdulillah. Back to our topic; Whoever offers Asr and Fajir Salaat regularly and consistently on time will enter Paradise.” (Reported by al-Bukhari, al-Fath, 2/52). It is a must for every Muslim to offer every Salaat regularly and on time but there are some prayers (Salaat) which cannot be performed punctually unless one takes special care of them due to their timing. This is the reason why some additional merits have been mentioned in this Hadith so that people can exercise extra effort in performing them. Of these two is the Fajr prayer, the performance of which is more difficult than the other prayers because it occurs at a time of rest and deep sleep and the Asr salaat occurs at the busy trading time.  Let's str...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm As-sabt, 29th day of Swafar 1447AH, Saturday, 23rd August 2025. HOW TO PERFECT OUR DUA. BismilLah.  Dua is a direct communication between us and our CREATOR ALLAH AZZAWAJAL and must be perfected by the following actions as instructed by our beloved Messenger of ALLAH Azzawajal: 1. Have Wudu, face Qibla, be neat and clean like going for a Job Interview which by far is not as compared to speaking to ALLAH Azzawajal.  2. Raise both hands to the shoulder with palms open facing up 3. Glorify ALLAH Azzawajal first and send salutations for the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) at both the beginning and end of the Dua.  4. Ask by Asmaa al-Husna- ALLAH'S Beautiful attributes like yaa Hayyu, yaa Qayyuum, yaa Razzaaq, yaa Qafuur etc then add your request.  5. Ask ALLAH Azzawajal by mentioning your good deeds.  6. Be insistent by repeating (i.e. 3x's). 7. Use words of ALLAH Azzawajal and Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) i.e. Duas found in Quran...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul Jumuat, 28th day of Swafar 1447AH, Friday, 22nd August 2025. CURSING A MUSLIM OR SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT DESERVE THE CURSE.  BismilLah. Alhamdulillah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week.  Many people do not control their tongues at times of anger, and are quick to curse people, animals, inanimate objects, days, hours, etc. They may even curse themselves and their children, or a husband may curse his wife and vice versa. This is a very serious matter. Let's study something about this.  Abu Zayd Thaabit ibn al-Dahhaak al-Ansari (may ALLAH be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: ". . . whoever curses a believer, it is as if he killed him." (Reported al-Bukhaari, see Fath al-Baari, 10/465).  Because cursing is more common among women, the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) explained that this would be one of the reasons for them...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 27th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 21st August 2025. BELIEF IN PRE-DECREE (al-Qadar) CREATES PEACE IN OUR HEART continues. BismilLah.  For the past few days, we have been reminding ourselves that calamities in our lives can also be blessings in disguise. Let's finalise with some of the wisdom behind calamities:  12. Calamities show you the true nature of this world and its transience, and that it is temporary conveniences, and show us that true life is that which is beyond this world, in a life in which there is no sickness or exhaustion.  ALLAH Azzawajal says; “Verily, the home of the Hereafter that is the life indeed (i.e. the eternal life that will never end), if they but knew” [al-‘Ankaboot 29:64]. 13. Calamities remind us of the great blessings of good health and ease.  This calamity shows us in the clearest way the meaning of health and ease that we enjoyed for many years, but did not taste their sweetness or appr...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Arba'a, 26th day of Swafar 1447AH, Wednesday, 20th August 2025. BELIEF IN PRE-DECREE (al-Qadar) CREATES PEACE IN OUR HEART continues. BismilLah.  For the past few days, we have been reminding ourselves that calamities in our lives can also be blessings in disguise. Let's continue with some of the wisdom behind calamities:  10. Another reason behind calamities and hardship is that a person becomes able to distinguish between true friends and friends who only have their own interests at heart. You may be so close to a colleague but wait for a calamity to you to see his or her real nature.  11. Calamities remind us of our sins so that we can repent from them.  ALLAH Azzawajal says:  “Whatever of good reaches you, is from ALLAH, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself” [al-Nisa’ 4:79]. “And whatever misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much” [al-Shoora 42:30]. Calamities of...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 25th day of Swafar 1447AH, Tuesday, 19th August 2025. BELIEF IN PRE-DECREE (al-Qadar) CREATES PEACE IN OUR HEART continues. BismilLah.  Yesterday, we reminded ourselves that calamities in our lives can also be blessings in disguise. Let's continue with some of the wisdom behind calamities:  7. Calamities drive out self-admiration from our hearts and bring us closer to ALLAH Azzawajal.  8. To demonstrate the true nature of people, for there are people whose virtue is unknown until calamity strikes  Scholars said: As long as people are doing fine, their true nature is concealed, but when calamity strikes, their true natures are revealed, so the believer resorts to his faith and the hypocrite resorts to his hypocrisy.   9. Calamities strengthen people’s resolve    ALLAH Azzawajal chose for HIS Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) a hard life filled with all kinds of hardship from a young ag...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 23rd day of Swafar 1447AH, Sunday, 17th August 2025. BELIEF IN PRE-DECREE (al-Qadar) CREATES PEACE IN OUR HEART continues BismilLah.  Yesterday, we reminded ourselves that calamities in our lives can also be blessings in disguise. Let's continue with some of the wisdom behind calamities:  2. Trials as a calamity prepare the believers to prevail on earth. It was said to Imam al-Shaafa’i (may ALLAH have mercy on him): Which is better, patience or tests or prevailing? He said: Prevailing is the level attained by the Prophets, and there can be no prevailing except after trials. If a person is tried he will become patient, and if he remains patient he will prevail.  3. Expiation of sins  al-Tirmidhi (2399) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAH be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “Trials will continue to befall the believing man or woman in himself, his child and his wealth until...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm As-sabt, 22nd day of Swafar 1447AH, Saturday, 16th August 2025. BELIEF IN PRE-DECREE (al-Qadar) CREATES PEACE IN OUR HEART continues. BismilLah.  Yesterday, we reminded ourselves that anything good to us is from ALLAH Azzawajal not by chance or only by our efforts. Goodness can also be a trial in our life to test those who will use it to earn their Hereafter or waste it in dunya and gain nothing in the hereafter.  Calamities in our lives can also be blessings in disguise.  Yes, there is great wisdom behind calamities, including the following:  1. To attain true submission and servitude (‘uboodiyyah) to ALLAH, the Lord of the Worlds.  Many people are slaves to their whims and desires and are not true slaves of ALLAH Azzawajal. They say that they are slaves of ALLAH, but when they are tested they turn on their heels and lose out in this world and, in the Hereafter, and that is an evident loss. ALLAH Azzawajal says:  “And amo...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul Jumuat, 21st day of Swafar 1447AH, Friday, 15th August 2025. BELIEF IN PRE-DECREE (al-Qadar) CREATES PEACE IN OUR HEART. BismilLah.  Alhamdulillah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week.  Pre-decree produces magnificent fruits affecting the conduct and the heart of man because if you believe that everything occurs by the Pre-decree of Allaah, then at times of delight you will give thanks to Allaah, The Mighty and Majestic, and you do not become amazed with your self. You also do not think that this matter occurred by your power and strength. You do, however, believe that it is just a cause– in case you have done the necessary means by which you have attained that which delights you–and that all the good is in the Hand of Allaah. So you will be more thankful for the blessing granted by Allaah, The One free of all imperfection, The Most High. This will motivate us to carry on the obedience to ALLA...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. PURIFICATION OF THE HEART.    BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, en...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Arba'a 19th day of Swafar 1447AH, Wednesday, 13th August 2025. WHAT MAKES YOU ANGRY AND SAD continues Bismillah.  Let's continue with our reminder from yesterday,  When the light of your heart is tarnished, you won’t be able to adequately receive Divine wisdom or experience Divine light and beauty; you also won’t be able to see life clearly and peacefully. Truly, nothing matches the complete satisfaction and total peace one gets while being in a state of remembrance of ALLAH Azzawajal, and this experience will not happen if one is consuming impure materials. Think about it: If you have a cup of clean water and you pour some dirt and other liquids in there like urine, will the water remain pure? When you pour out what’s in this cup, will it be clean and pure water? Absolutely not. Same with our heart, it’s pure and clean and has light, but when we consume impure materials, what’s in our heart will be affected and it won’t have light or be able...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha 18th day of Swafar 1447AH, Tuesday, 12th August 2025. WHAT MAKES YOU ANGRY AND SAD continues BismilLah.  Let's continue with our reminder from yesterday,  It’s not a small deal and it’s not a light matter to be exposing yourself to immorality. It has major implications for your inner and outer well-being. It may be temporarily pleasing or entertaining, but it is deeply damaging to you as a person and as a believer. Being angry, frustrated, short-tempered, overreacting and having conflicts with everyone around you is only one manifestation of it. But why does this matter so much? Why should you care about that? Because nobody wants to be around an angry person… not your family, not your friends, not your workmates, not your spouse and not even your self! You won’t be able to handle your self at some point. This state damages your spirituality and your relationship with ALLAH Azzawajal and the people on so many levels. To be continue...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-ithnayn, 17th day of Swafar 1447AH, Monday, 11th August 2025. WHAT MAKES YOU ANGRY and sad continues? Bismillah. In yesterday's reminder,  we reminded ourselves that, watching immoral content would make us irritated, easily angered and incapable of controlling our emotions.  But why exactly is this taking away our light and troubling our heart?  Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings upon him) said: “When the believer sins, a black spot appears on his heart. If he repents and gives up that sin and seeks forgiveness, his heart will be polished. But if (the sin) increases, (the black spot) increases. That is the RAN that ALLAH Azzawajal mentions in HIS Book: “Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn.” [83:14]. Exposing your eyes, ears and heart to immorality is unquestionably a sin. This is why ALLAH Azzawajal keeps warning us against it. “..... And do not approach immora...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 16th day of Swafar 1447AH, Sunday, 10th August 2025. WHAT MAKES YOU ANGRY? Bismillah. If you find yourself angry, heated, short-tempered, easily lashing out at people and easily inclined to make a big scene out of a small issue, then it’s time to think about what’s making you an angry and unforgiving person. There are interesting pointers that ALLAH Almighty gave us in Suurat AsShuraa when HE, Azzawajal says: “And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive” (Qur’an 42: 37). Recite and ponder on this verse again and again carefully. Who are the people who not only control their anger but also elevate above it and have peace and serenity to forgive those who angered them? It is those who avoid major sins and immoralities. But how is this related to you if you are avoiding major sins? Well, watch what you are consuming and exposing yourself to on a daily basis. Do you by any chance happen to watch certai...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm As-sabt, 15th day of Swafar 1447AH, Saturday, 9th August 2025. WISDOM and SIGNIFICANCE BEHIND OUR SALAAT (Prayers). BismilLah. Some Muslim brothers and Sisters do ask why ALLAH command us to offer 5x Salaat. Salaat caries no wisdom, purpose, or significance and lacks logical harmony to some. They question why 5 times instead of making our own choice simply to test the loyalty and obedience of a servant to his master. But they fail to know it is simply a servant-master relationship and nothing beyond. If the servant obeys, he is rewarded and if he disobeys, he is then punished. Had there been no wisdom behind these shariah commands, how then it came to be based on human intention and psychology? The intention and motivation with which a person carries out these commands form the very basis of Shari’ah and  Shari’ah applies this criterion for the acceptance or rejection of a servant’s performance. Imagine you are employed today by a big firm in your...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul Jumuat, 14th day of Swafar 1447AH, Friday, 8th August 2025. ADHEARING AND IMPLEMENTING THE SUNNAS OF THE PROPHET (S.A.W), EVERYDAY AND NIGHT. BismilLah  First of all, Alhamdulillah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week,  last week we were with souls like Hon. Dr. Alhaji Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed but today he and many muslim brothers and sisters including my aunty, Maryam are no more with us, may Allah Azzawajal forgive them all. Back to our topic. ALLAH, The Exalted says (what means): "O you who have believed, fear ALLAH and speak words of appropriate justice. HE will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys ALLAH and HIS Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment." [QURAN: 70 - 71].  Whoever reforms his inner intentions ALLAH, The Almighty will reform his or her outer actions, ease his matter and make all creation love him. Pay much heed to the matter of ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Arba'a, 12th day of Swafar 1447AH, Wednesday, 6th August 2025. DUA BETWEEN ADHAAN AND IQAAMAH. BismilLah.  The Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Dua is not rejected between the adhaan and iqaamah, so make dua (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 212; Abu Dawood, 437; Ahmad, 12174).  You can learn to recite simple but powerful Dua like, Laailaaha illaa Anta Astaghfiruka wa atuubu ilaik. Yaa Hayyu yaa qayyuum biRahmatika astaqeeth meaning Oh Allah there is none worthy of worship except you ALLAH, you are the living and maintainer of life so with your Mercy I seek your help. Recite this regularly with intention for whatever you need from Allah and remember our sins block our dua reaching ALLAH Azzawajal.   It was also narrated from Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever says when he hears the call to prayer: ‘Allaahumma Rabba haadhihi’l-da'...

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 11th day of Swafar 1447AH, Tuesday, 5th August 2025. INSPIRATIONAL STORY. This story may or may not be a true life story but it contains very important lessons for us to ponder. BismilLah.  A highly skilled carpenter who had grown old was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business and live a more leisurely life with his family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. The employer was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favour. The carpenter agreed to this proposal but made sure that this would be his last project. Being in a mood to retire, the carpenter was not paying much attention to building this house. His heart was not in his work. He resorted to poor workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career. When the job was done, the carpenter called his employer and showed hi...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-ithnayn, 10th day of Swafar 1447AH, Monday, 4th August 2025. LET'S MAKE ALLAH AZZAWAJAL THE SOLUTION FOR OUR TRIALS. BismilLah. Our reminder on this blessed day is to remind each of us what our scholars have said in regards to difficulties we face on earth such as illnesses or some painful inflictions from ALLAH Azzawajal. Most times we disobey ALLAH Azzawajal openly or knowing it is wrong but does it anyway without fear of ALLAH'S punishment such as Zina (Fornication), stealing, delaying our salaat, disobedience to parents, religious innovations etc. *Sometimes* as a blessings to our souls, ALLAH Azzawajal may inflict us with some difficulties that will aid us to remember HIM and return to HIM seeking HIS MERCY. That's why our Sheikh Ibn Taymiyyah said in one of his lectures that, the trials, pains, difficulties etc that make us return to ALLAH Azzawajal is better than success that distances us from the obedience of ALLAH Azzawajal. Mostly ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 9th day of Swafar 1447AH, Sunday, 3rd August 2025. ENVY AND HATRED ARE THE DESTROYERS OF OUR GOOD DEEDS. BismilLah. Envy (hasad) is a spiritual disease that is the root of numerous sins and it's worse than any virus. It is incompatible with true faith and it has the capacity to nullify a person’s good deeds. A Muslim cannot achieve a pure heart until it is emptied of all envy, hatred, and malice. The person who envies is, in reality, displeased with the way ALLAH Azzawajal has distributed HIS blessings. ALLAH Azzawajal says: أَمْ يَحْسُدُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَىٰ مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ Or do they envy people for what ALLAH has given them of HIS bounty? Quran 4:54. Imam An-Nawawi wrote in one of his books that: Envy is the desire for someone who has a blessing to be deprived of it, whether it is a religious or worldly blessing.̣  The one who envies has become displeased with the decree of ALLAH the Exalted, so he hates that ALLAH has b...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm As-sabt, 8th day of Swafar 1447AH, Saturday, 2nd August 2025. Medication for ANGER  BismilLah.   The first medicine is to think over the rewards of appeasing anger, which have come from the verses of the Quran and the sayings of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). Your hope for getting rewards for appeasing anger will restrain you from taking revenge. Revenge is just not Islamic, love to forgive hoping for ALLAH Azzawajal to forgive you too.  The second kind of medicine based on knowledge is to fear the punishment of ALLAH Azzawajal and to think that the punishment of ALLAH upon me is greater than my punishment upon the person I'm angry with. Always remind yourself that if I take revenge upon this person due to anger, ALLAH will take revenge upon me for disobeying HIM.  The third kind of medicine of anger based on knowledge is to take precautions about punishment of enmity and revenge on himself. You feel joy in having yo...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul Jumuat, 7th day of Swafar 1447AH, Friday, 1st August 2025. THE VIRTUES OF THIS BLESSED DAY. BismilLah.   ALHAMDULILLAH for granting us another blessed day of the week. We ask ALLAH Azzawajal to keep guiding and aiding us to act only for HIS pleasure. Aameen.  The virtues of this day include the following:  On it is Salaat al-Jumu’ah (Friday prayer), which is the best among the prayers each day.  ALLAH Azzawajal says in the QUR'AN:  “O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salaah (prayer) on Friday (Jumu‘ah prayer), come to the remembrance of ALLAAH (Jumu‘ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salaah (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing). That is better for you if you did but know!”[al-Jumu’ah 62:9]. This verse has clarified to us that we must stop all kinds of activities on Friday to attend to khutbah sermon.  Imam Muslim narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him...
