REVIVING THE SUNNA

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 5th day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Thursday, 28th August 2025.

BismilLah. 

Imam Abu Hurairah may ALLAH be pleased with him narrated that ALLAH’s Messenger sallallaahu Alaihi wasallam said:

“If it were not that it would be difficult on my nation, then I would have ordered them to use the siwaak (tooth stick) for each prayer.” [Tirmidhi].

This hadith indicates the view of the Prophet towards the siwaak. 

Another sunnah to revive is;

Maintaining the 1/3rd rule in eating

Miqdam bin Madikarib said: “I heard the Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam say:

‘A human being fills no worse vessel than his stomach. It is sufficient for a human being to eat a few mouthfuls to keep his spine straight. But if he must (fill it), then one third of food, one third for drink and one third for air.’” [Ibn Majah]. Maa Shaa ALLAH. AlhamdulilLah for HIS guidance. May ALLAH keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.
