DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 16th day of Swafar 1447AH, Sunday, 10th August 2025.

WHAT MAKES YOU ANGRY? Bismillah.

If you find yourself angry, heated, short-tempered, easily lashing out at people and easily inclined to make a big scene out of a small issue, then it’s time to think about what’s making you an angry and unforgiving person.

There are interesting pointers that ALLAH Almighty gave us in Suurat AsShuraa when HE, Azzawajal says:

“And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive” (Qur’an 42: 37).

Recite and ponder on this verse again and again carefully.

Who are the people who not only control their anger but also elevate above it and have peace and serenity to forgive those who angered them? It is those who avoid major sins and immoralities.

But how is this related to you if you are avoiding major sins?

Well, watch what you are consuming and exposing yourself to on a daily basis. Do you by any chance happen to watch certain types of movies, songs, websites or social media pages that contain immoral content? Are you exposing yourself to scenes, images, language or even jokes that are impure and indecent?

The truth is, these materials are all around us. So we are either actively engaged in avoiding them, or we are mindlessly consuming them.

If this is the case and you are consuming them, chances are, this type of content without you even knowing is taking away the peace and light of your heart.

Instead of being in a state of peace, light, calmness, poise and maturity that come with the remembrance of ALLAH Azzawajal and engaging in good and pure deeds, watching immoral content would make you irritated, easily angered and incapable of controlling your emotions. You can monitor your own behaviour to notice that for yourself.

But why exactly is this taking away your light and troubling your heart? Don't miss tomorrow's reminder. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul ahad, 11th day of Shawwal (Sunday 23rd May 2021). * _ This may not be true story from a friend but very true and sad reality of our modern world _ * . BismilLah. “The house where I lived was about to be seized, just because I could not pay the rent. I tried to get help from all relatives I know but all saying they don't have so I posted my situation on Facebook looking for help, but all I could get is 2 "I like" and zero comment. So I sent 250 messages to my contact list requesting a loan of N5000. Unfortunately only 10 people responded. 6 out of 10 said they could not help me. And only 1 out of 4 who promised to help me and gave me some money less than I needed. The other 3 gave me no excuse and never answered my calls. In the end, I was ejected. I became homeless. I did not have a place to sleep. I walked in the dark looking for options and, unfortunately, a thief stole my empty purse with my ID. He was badly hit by a car in high speed as he fle...
