BismilLah.  Many of us seem to spend an incredible amount of time and energy chasing the dream job. After all, a bigger paycheck often translates into a better car, a bigger house, and a higher worldly social status.  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 26th day of RabeeulAwwal, 1446AH (Sunday, 29th September 2024). DO YOU PREFER DUNYA OR AAKHIRA. BismilLah.  ALLAH says  in Qur'an 29:64 وَمَا هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ لَهْوٌ وَلَعِبٌ And this life of the world is only an amusement and a play! ALLAH tells us how insignificant and transient this world is and how it will soon end. All that it is, is amusement and play: وَإِنَّ الدَّارَ الاْإخِرَةَ لَهِيَ الْحَيَوَانُ Verily, the home of the Hereafter  that is the life indeed, meaning the true everlasting life that will never end, but will continue forever and ever. لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ if they but knew meaning, they would prefer that which will last over that which will pass away. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for blessing us to be part of this blessed day of the week.  ALLAH says, فَإِذَا جَاءتِ الطَّامَّةُ الْكُبْرَى But when there comes the Great Catastrophe, this refers to the Day of Judgement. يَوۡمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ  The Day when man shall remember what he strove for, meaning, at that time, the Son of Adam will reflect upon all of his deeds, both the good and the evil. وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ  And Hell shall be made apparent for whoever sees, meaning it will become apparent for the onlookers, so the people will see it with their own eyes. DON'T WORRY ABOUT YOUR PAST SINS, JUST REGRET, REPENT SINCERELY, AND WITNESS THE BLESSINGS OF ALLAH IN YOUR LIFE. BismilLah.  Never doubt about the promise of ALLAH to mankind. In the Quran, we find many verses that show how ALLAH will increase HIS blessings on us if we repented and asked HIM for forgiveness. Remember what Prophet Nuuh (Noah, peace be upon him) said to his people: “I told them, ‘Seek ALLAH’s forgiveness, for verily HE is the One that forgives frequently. HE will then send the skies upon you (with rain) in abundance. And HE will increase your wealth and children, and bestow upon you gardens, and bestow upon you rivers’”. (Quran, 71: 10-12). BismilLah.  ALLAH says in Qur'an 2:21-22 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱعۡبُدُواْ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمۡ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ O mankind!  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 19th day of RabeeulAwwal, 1446AH (Sunday, 22nd September 2024). AN EXCELLENT WAY IN GETTING CLOSER TO ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER. Bismillaah. Islam teaches us to utilize our time, money, and our knowledge for the sake of ALLAH.  Sponsor an orphan. The Messenger of ALLAH (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “I will be like this in Jannah (Paradise) with the person who takes care of an orphan.” The Messenger of ALLAH raised his forefinger and middle finger by way of illustration. This is very vital since sponsoring an orphan costs but a fragment of our income, and the reward for taking care of orphans is beyond what we can imagine in this life.  Always keep these two words in your mind and libs:  AlhamdulilLah and AstaghfirulLah.  AlhamdulilLah keeps you closer to ALLAH while AstaghfirulLah keeps you away from Sins.  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm As-Sabt, 18th day of RabeeulAwwal, 1446AH (Saturday, 21st September 2024). *_LET'S STRIVE TO BE POSITIVE ALL THE TIME,  FOR BETTER FOR WORSE_*. BismilLah. If your character is negative, you have the power and the choice to do what it takes to alter it. The greatest power we have as human beings is the power of choice. Even Angels don't have that power. They are commanded to do whatever ALLAH wishes but ALLAH has giving us the power of choice to act good for HIS Paradise or act bad for HIS hell fire.  Almighty ALLAH says in Quran [76:3] “I have shown human being the way to be either grateful or ungrateful.” This is simply about choice, either to be thankful and turn towards the way of ALLAH or being ungrateful and turn towards your own heart desires.  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-Khamis, 16th day of RabeeulAwwal, 1446AH (Thursday, 19th September 2024). A VALUABLE LESSON. BismilLah.  Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: When ALLAH intends to punish a group of people for their disobedience, the punishment afflicts everyone among them. Then, they are resurrected according to their deeds. Sahih Muslim 2879. Wakeup call.  This hadith highlights the fact that we CANNOT be quite when we noticed evil or bad deeds ongoing such as zina, betting/gambling and religious innovations in our Muslim communities else when ALLAH'S punishment descend, it will affect us all and that's exactly the condition of the ummah today so let's wake up from our silence and speak with wisdom and knowledge beginning from our own relatives.  May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences.  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-ithnayn, 13th day of RabeeulAwwal, 1446AH (Monday, 16th September 2024). FASTING IS A SHIELD FOR OUR EEMAAN. BismilLah.  The purpose of fasting is to develop the quality of righteousness (taqwa), inwardly and outwardly, by abstaining from sinful deeds and training ourselves to control our thoughts and desires Fasting is a deeply spiritual practice that is meant to benefit us in body, mind, and heart. Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH said: Fasting is a shield from the Hellfire just like the shield of any of you in battle: Sunan Ibn Mājah 1639. There are three levels of fasting that correspond to its outward and inward components: abstaining from food and drink, abstaining from sins, and abstaining from bad thoughts. ALLAH says:  O you who believe, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you that you may become (TAQWAH) righteous. Quran 2:183.  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul Jumuat, 12th day of RabeeulAwwal, 1446AH (Sunday, 15th September 2024). GAMBLING IS EVIL STAY AWAY FROM IT PLEASE. Bismillah.  Gambling means to give or take money or goods depending on something that is not known how it will end. No matter what the name is, any game or bet that has this property and that is played in return for money or goods is called gambling in Shariah.  ALLAH says: "O ye who believe! Intoxicants (Alcohol) and gambling (dedication of) stones and (divination by) arrows are an abomination of Satan's handiwork: eschew such (abomination) that ye may prosper. Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of ALLAH, and from prayer (al-Maida, 5/90, 91. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum WarahmatulLah my brothers and sisters in Islam.  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-Khamis, 9th day of RabeeulAwwal, 1446AH (Thursday, 12th September 2024). HARMFUL EFFECTS OF WHAT WE WATCH ON OUR TV'S. BismilLah.  ALLAAH has commanded us to lower our gaze and has forbidden us to look at women because of the great evil and mischief that result from that. For looking is the harbinger of zina (unlawful sexual relationships), ALLAAH forbid. BismilLah.  Female Circumcision is not Female Genital Mutilation. It does not curb women’s sexual experience; it is not a cultural tradition. It is Islamic! It is healthy! It increases the experience of sexual relationships.  In the early days of Islam, which were its best days, all Muslim women were circumcised. It was regarded as a fitra duty like male circumcision and treated as such. All fitra duties are applicable to both males and females. This includes shaving our pubic hair, plucking out our armpit hair, and clipping our nails. Could anybody in his right mind argue that these are applicable only to males? Few days ago, I mentioned part of the hadith in which the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam  recommended us to follow up any bad deed with a good deed to wipe the bad deed off but It is important to note that a bad deed that violates the rights of others, cannot simply be wiped away by a good deed. Instead, the sinner must return the right to the person or ask for their forgiveness. An example of this would be if you said something bad about a person in a gathering, you should seek ALLAH’s forgiveness and say something good about them in a gathering of at least the same size, to outweigh the negative effects of what you have said about them if you cannot find him or her to apologise.  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-ithnayn, 29th day of Swafar, 1446AH (Monday, 2nd September 2024). THE BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS OF DEATH FOR BELIEVERS CAPTURED IN THE QURAN. BismilLah.  ALLAH says in the Qur'an; Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is ALLAH " and then remained on a right course - the angels will descend upon them (during the last moment of death), [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised. Fussilat 41:30.  In Arabic Istaqamu: stand firm, i.e. they followed (really) the religion of Islamic Monotheism, believed in the Oneness of ALLAH, and worshipped none but HIM (Alone), and performed all that was ordained by ALLAH (good deeds) and abstained from all that was forbidden by ALLAH (sins and evil deeds).  Nothing can happen to us without the permission of ALLAH as such even if it's bad, seek guidance and forgiveness only from ALLAH.
