THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 26th day of Ramadhan (Friday 31st May 2019).  HAVE YOU MADE UP YOUR MIND TO STAY WITH ALLAH OR GO BACK TO SHEITAN? Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. My dear brothers and sisters in Islam, Falling short in one's commitment to Islam after Ramadan is a sign of disastrous Ranadan in many ways, including: Men leaving the five prayers in congregation, after they filled mosques for Taraweeh prayers, thus going to the masjid for recommended prayers and leaving obligatory ones. Are we serious? Returning to musical entertainment, forbidden films, women displaying their adornment beyond that which ordinarily appears thereof, free mixing etc. Ending Ramadan with so called Sallah Dance, AstaghfirulLah. Intermixing and dancing with haraam music. May ALLAH protect us and our offspring from such satanic traps. Let's fear ALLAH in all we do. If you don't mine been granted paradise with little efforts at least let's fear the day the Ange...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 25th day of Ramadhan (Thursday 30th May 2019). HOW TO REMAIN STEADFAST IN ISLAM EVEN AFTER RAMADAN. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Islam is a complete way of life till death not only in Ramadan. ALLAH has taught us all we need to get to Jannat (Paradise) through the Quran and teachings of our beloved Messenger of ALLAH Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. The Quran is the main means for one to remain steadfast, and attachment to it preserves and safeguards a person during trials. He who abides by it will be protected by ALLAH, and he who calls people to it will himself be guided to the straight path. ALLAH informs us that the reason behind HIM revealing the Quran in segments and over a long period not only in Ramadan is that it would thereby be a means for steadfastness. He Almighty Says what means: “And those who disbelieve say: ‘Why was the Quran not revealed to him all at once?’ Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Arbaà, 24th day of Ramadhan (Wednesday 29th May 2019). WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER RAMADHAN. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ramadhan is a school of eeman and a 'stop to recharge one's spiritual batteries' to acquire one's provision for the rest of the year. For when will one take a lesson and change for better if not in the month of Ramadan? The noble month is a true school of transformation in which we change our actions, habits and manners that are in variance with the Law of ALLAH 'azza wa jall. ALLAH says in Quran: Verily, HE does not change the condition of a people until they change their ways of life. If you are from those who benefited from Ramadhan, fulfilled the requirements of taqwa, truly fasted the month, prayed in it with truthfulness, and strove against your soul, then praise and thank ALLAH, and ask HIM for steadfastness upon it until we return to our Creator. Be not like one who has sawn a shirt and then dest...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 23rd day of Ramadhan (Tuesday 28th May 2019). LET'S STEP UP FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS LEFT AS STEADFASTNESS IS THE WAY TO PARADISE. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.  Istiqaama (steadfastness) in Islam is a basic requirement for every Muslim. We are required to be steadfast in all good deeds without any laziness. Those who do that enjoys what ALLAH promised in  Suuratul Fussilat (41): 30-32. Read for yourself to see how beautiful this promise of ALLAH is. Among them is our salaat and it's timing. As soon as you finish offering your fajir you start programing yourself for zuhur wherever you maybe. Striving to please your parents, supporting any charitable activities. Visiting the sick. Helping fellow Muslims in need especially the orphans. Striving to obey ALLAH and ignore any satanic influences. Making dua regularly towards ALLAH'S protection etc. The next few days may be crucial towards our success this month in shaa ALLAH or...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ithnayn, 22nd day of Ramadhan (Monday 27th May 2019). SEEKING FORGIVENESS IN THESE LAST DAYS OF RAMADAN. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. We MUST not allow this month to pass without seeking forgiveness in abundance for our past present and future sins. We should cry & beg of ALLAH to give us HIS MERCY & FORGIVENESS. If we leave Ramadan without gaining the MERCY of ALLAH then surely we are of the most unfortunate and amongst the biggest losers in this world and the next. We must Stand in prayer at night to gain forgiveness for all sins as Abu Huraira (RA) narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever stands (in prayer) in Laylatul Qadr while nourishing his faith with self-evaluation, expecting reward from ALLAH, will have all of his previous sins forgiven.” (Bukhari and Muslim). This is our best opportunity to gain forgiveness of our past and present sins. Forget the past now, learn from it & take lessons from i...

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul, 21st day of Ramadhan (Sunday 26th May 2019). SOME RULES OF ITIKAAF. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.  Undoubtedly i’tikaaf in the mosque is an act of worship, and (observing it) in Ramadaan is better than at other times. It is prescribed in Ramadaan and at other times. The basic principle is that i’tikaaf is Sunnah, not obligatory, so those who can do it must strive to do so. A person should stay in a mosque for the duration of the I’tikaf (except for certain things as going out to ease yourself if the masjid has no toilet facilities). Our mother Aa’ishah may ALLAH be pleased with her reported that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) observed I’tikaf, he did not enter the house except to relieve himself. Narrated by Muslim (297). Similarly, he or she also needs to eat and drink. If he does not have anyone who can bring him food and drink, then he may go out to get them if he needs to. For everything that he cannot...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 20th day of Ramadhan (Saturday 25th May 2019). LAST 10 DAYS OF GOLDEN REWARDS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The last ten days of Ramadan are very precious indeed: ALLAH'S Messenger used to exert himself in devotion during the last ten nights to a greater extent than at any other time." (Muslim). Please don't ask me about the odd days in this last days in trying to use our wisdom to acquire laylatul Qadar. You may miss it if you do so, just strive to get some time in acts of worship throughout the night of this last days as no one can be certain which days or nights are the odd days this month. Our mother Aishah (may ALLAH be pleased with her) reported that during the last ten days of Ramadan; the Messenger of ALLAH would wake his wives up during the night and then remain apart from them (that is, being busy in acts of worship). (Bukhari). Here are some ways that we can all make the best of these precious last ten days of...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 19th day of Ramadhan (Friday 24th May 2019). ALLAH has promised us Jannat, what else do we need? Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As we fast for ALLAH sake, let's ponder on the guidance of ALLAH and HIS promise of Jannat for those of us who strive for HIS sake. In these last days of Ramadan, let's step up our efforts seeking forgiveness and Jannat nothing else. If ALLAH accept these two, that's JACKPOT in our lives. ALLAH has said in the Quran: “And give good news (O Muhammad) to those who believe and do good deeds, that they will have gardens (Paradise) in which rivers flow....” (Quran 2:25) ALLAH has also said: “Race one with another for forgiveness from your Lord and for Paradise, whose width is as the width of the heavens and the earth, which has been prepared for those who believe in ALLAH and HIS messengers....” (Quran 57:21). The Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of ALLAH be upon him, told us that the lo...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 18th day of Ramadhan (Thursday 23rd May 2019). THE RIGHT FORMAT OF MAKING DUA. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Before making any dua we are thought to 1. Praise ALLAH (SWT) and to thank HIM and show gratitude to HIS RAHMAH. Example is the first 3 verses of suratul Fatihah,  Aayatul Kursy. Laailaaha illaa Anta, Anta Nuurus Samaawaati wal Ard, etc. 2. You then follow that by sending salutations to the Prophet(Salaat Alan Nabi) which is "Allah humma salli alaa muhammad wa-alaa aali  muhammad kama sallaita alaa Ibraaheem wa alaa aali Ibraheem inna ka hameed um majeed. Allah hummabarik alaa  muhammad wa alaa aali  muhammad kamaa baarakta alaa  Ibraaheem wa alaa aali  Ibraheem inna ka hameed um majeed". 3. Then Make your dua starting from those mentioned in Quran and Sunnah in Arabic like saying Allahummah Ajirnii Minan Naar(Oh Allah Protect me from the hell fire). Then you can use your language to request dua for...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 17th day of Ramadhan (Wednesday 22nd May 2019). CAN A MAN AND A WOMAN TALK IN PRIVATE ON THE INTERNET TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER FOR THE SAKE OF MARRIAGE?. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Our learned Imams have said that, a relationship between a man and woman should be controlled by Sharia. In other words, it is Haram for a man/woman to have a relationship outside marriage. This is a well documented fact I'm sure every Muslim knows. A Muslim man/woman should not speak or write to the opposite sex as long as there is no need. In case of need to such a relationship, they (man and woman) should be governed by Sharia limitations and teachings morals and good behaviour so that they avoid any form of temptation. In this vein, the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) warned us from the woman's temptation saying: "I am not leaving behind a more harmful trial (cause of mischief) for men than women" [Reported by Imams al-Bukhari and...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 16th day of Ramadhan (Tuesday 21st May 2019). SECULSION IN THE MOSQUE DURING RAMADAN, Al-I’tikaf. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Abdullah ibn Umar, may ALLAH be pleased with him, reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, would seek seclusion (i’tikaf) in the mosque during the last ten nights of Ramadan. Sahih Bukhari 1921, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi Our mum Aishah, may ALLAH be pleased with her, reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to retreat in the mosque during the last ten nights of Ramadan until ALLAH the Exalted took him. His wives continued to observe this practice after him. Sahih Muslim 1172. Imam Ash-Shafi’ee, may ALLAH have mercy on him, said: Whoever desires to follow the example of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, should seek seclusion in the mosque during the last ten nights of Ramadan. Let him enter the mosque before the setting of the sun on the twenty ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 15th day of Ramadhan (Monday 20th May 2019). USING RAMADAN AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PURIFY OUR SOULS. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ramadhan Fasting is not only about abstaining from food and drink but it is also about abstaining from anger, backbiting, jealousy, greed, thinking ill of people; and all the other diseases of the heart. Purification of the soul from the illnesses of the heart is not an easy task and the person who is able to free him/herself from these unhealthy qualities is truly the successful one. Allah (swt) says: “And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it; And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and righteousness, he has succeeded who purifies it.” (Qur’an, 91:7-9). We all suffer from the constant annoying whispers of the shaytan (devil) that just won’t go away, thus making the task of purification even more difficult but that's a task for us. For this reason, the blessed month of Ramadan is an ide...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 14th day of Ramadhan (Sunday 19th May 2019). CURSING A MUSLIM OR SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT DESERVE THE CURSE. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Many people do not control their tongues at times of anger, and are quick to curse people, animals, inanimate objects, days, hours, etc. They may even curse themselves and their children, or a husband may curse his wife and vice versa. This is a very serious matter. Let's study something about this. Abu Zayd Thaabit ibn al-Dahhaak al-Ansari (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ". . . whoever curses a believer, it is as if he killed him." (Reported al-Bukhaari, see Fath al-Baari, 10/465). Because cursing is more common among women, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained that this would be one of the reasons for them entering Hell, and that those who curse will not have intercessors on the Day o...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 13th day of Ramadhan (Saturday 18th May 2019). Slandering & false accusations are a major sin. Lets learn, share and be careful about this serious issue. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Slander, and the making of false accusations, are considered to be major sins in Islam especially whilst fasting. These involves fabricating or spreading a lie about your brother or sister (Muslim or not Muslim) in his or her absence. The Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "Do you know what is gheebah (Backbiting)? They said: "ALLAH and HIS Messenger (peace be upon him) knows best. He (peace be upon him) said, "Mentioning about your brother what he would hate to hear (in his absence)'. It was said: 'What about if what I say about my brother is true?' He (peace be upon him) said: "If in him is what you say you would have backbited him, and if it is not in him. then he is slandered (Buhtaan)." [Muslim]. This is a se...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 11th day of Ramadhan (Thursday 16th May 2019). ANGER MANAGEMENT WHILST FASTING. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Once a young man approached the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallah) and asked him for some advice. The Prophet replied, “Do not become angry,” and he repeated this three times. On another occasion the Prophet asked his companions, “Do you know who the strong person is?” His companions replied, “The one who is able to wrestle others down.” The Prophet responded, “No, it is the one who is able to control their anger. There are so many wisdoms from the Prophet specifically advising against anger, all reflecting the Qur’anic description of the righteous as those who “hold in check their anger” (3:134). This advice is much needed. Indeed, some of the worst actions committed by human beings from killing to domestic abuse especially in marriages are, at least partly, a result of unbridled anger. Lots of marriages have collapsed/coll...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaā, 10th day of Ramadhan (Wednesday 15th May 2019).  RECONCILIATION AND HARMONY AMONG MUSLIMS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Imam An-Nawawi may ALLAH be pleased with him records in his book Riyad us-Saliheen: ALLAH the Exalted says: لَّا خَيْرَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِّن نَّجْوَاهُمْ إِلَّا مَنْ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَوْ مَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ إِصْلَاحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ No good is there in much of their private conversation, except for those who enjoin charity or kindness or reconciliation between people. Surat An-Nisa 4:114. There are lots of such sayings from ALLAH such as: Settlement is best. Surah An-Nisa 4:12. The believers are but brothers, so make reconciliation between your brothers and fear ALLAH that you may receive mercy. Surat Al-Hujurat 49:10. As we read from what ALLAH says, let's strive to forgive whoever has wronged us and reconcile for ALLAH sake. We gain nothing aside making satan happy. Call or text him or her now and say FOR ALLAH SAKE I...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 9th day of Ramadhan (Tuesday 14th May). SHOULD A DIABETIC PERSON FAST? IS IT NOT SUFFICIENT FOR HIM TO OFFER FIDYAH (FEEDING THE POOR)?. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. In response to this question, I can say that One cannot make a blanket ruling to the effect that all diabetic people may skip fasting and only need to provide fidyah(feeding the poor). This is because each diabetic person's condition is different from the other, as each one reacts differently to fasting. My late sheikh Sibawaihi may Allah be pleased with him was a diabetic but never missed a day fasting that I'm aware of. Not even optional Mondays and Thursday's fasting. If we see one diabetic person as being adversely affected by fasting, we also find another, in spite of being a diabetic, not at all troubled by fasting. This being the case, one should never assume that all diabetic individuals are generally exempt from fasting. If a diabetic person has be...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumu Al-Ithnayn. 8th day of Ramadaan, 1440, (Monday, 13th May, 2019).  What level of intimacy are we allowed between spouses? Are we allowed to flirt, gently touch, kiss, or hug our spouses while fasting? Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. In optional fasts, all the above-mentioned acts are permitted so long as one does not engage in sexual intercourse. In obligatory fasts like Ramadan, one is allowed to do these only if one can control himself or herself. Breaking a Ramadhan fast through sexual intercourse is a serious offence; it entails a severe form of kaffarah (expiation), which involves fasting two months consecutively; if one cannot do this, one must feed sixty poor persons for a single day of fast. Therefore, no conscientious Muslim should contemplate such activities while fasting if there is a risk of overstepping the boundaries. If there is no such fear, then light touching, or kissing, etc., when not accompanied by sexual desire, is permissi...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad. 7th day of Ramadaan, 1440, (Sunday, 12th May, 2019). HOW TO REPAIR OUR WEAK RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR CREATOR IN THIS BLESSED MONTH. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ramadaan is a blessed month for all of us to find any possible means to correct our relationship with our Creator, ALLAH. It's important we strive to better our ways of life and seek guidance from ALLAH not to go back to our sinful acts after Ramadaan. There are ways and tools from ALLAH to aid us from any satanic influences because definitely sheitan will be released from prison and he will be like a wounded lion seeking to get back his lost mates due to Ramadaan. The most effective way is to learn or study the Qur'an, Recite it regularly and ponder on the meanings. Tranquility then descends and our hearts become soft and re-establish its connection to it Creator. To get optimum benefit, remind yourself that ALLAH is speaking to you in the Quran. People are described in diff...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 6th day of Ramadaan, 1440, (Saturday, 11th May, 2019). Acts of Worship for our sisters During their monthly cycle in Ramadan. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. These are also for those who are not fasting in general for whatever reasons. 1. Listen to the Quran. Sisters in their monthly cycle should listen to the Quran as much as possible, while simultaneously pondering about its deep meanings. It is permissible to read the Arabic script or its translation with her eyes, such as on a computer screen or other electronic devices. She can also read the Quran from her heart. 2. Make more Remembrance (Dhikr) of ALLAH. You should use every free moment to exalt the Lord of the Worlds. There are many related azkaar such astaqfirulLah,  yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyuum Birahmatika Astaqeeth etc. 3. Send Blessings on the Prophet (ALLAH bless him and give him peace). That's salaat alan Nabi. 4. Be Kind to Others, Including Spouses & Family Members. And...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 5th day of Ramadaan, 1440, (Friday, 10th May, 2019). THE BENEFIT OF PAYING YEARLY ZAKAAT. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The fact that Zakaat is an obligation upon all Muslims with savings or weath is one of the most apparent indications of the beauty of Islam and the concern it has for its adherents. The benefits of Zakaat are in‐ deed numerous, and [it has been made obligatory] due to the dire need of the poor amongst the Muslims. It's one of the main pillars of Islaam. From its benefits are the following: 1. It strengthens the bonds of love between the rich and the poor, for it is from human nature that a person shows affinity to those who treat them well and kindness. 2. It purifies and cleanses the soul and distances it from greed and avarice, as indicated in the Noble Qur`aan when ALLAH says: “Take Sadaqah (alms) from their wealth in order to purify them and sanctify them with it.” [Surah at‐Tawbah, 9:103]. 3. It causes Mus...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis. 4th day of Ramadaan, 1440, (Thursday, 9th May, 2019). WASTING TIME IN THIS BLESSED MONTH. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ramadaan is a blessed month which is a gift from ALLAH to aid us get closer to HIM. We've got only under 30 days to change our whole year of bad habits.  That’s all the time we have to make use of in the most blessed month of the year, Ramadan. 11 months ago after last Ramadan we’ve been swinging in the ups and downs of productivity, in seeking mercy and forgiveness of ALLAH, and above all HIS closeness. A lot of days we have wasted doing things that don’t benefit our dunya or akhira. But just for this one month, for these 30 or 29 days, let’s take up the challenge of avoiding all those things that will be of no benefit and make best use of this month. Stop Watching TV: Give yourself a break from the soaps/ shows you watch on television. Please sacrifice the time you spend on TV at least this one month. You don’...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Arbaà. 3rd day of Ramadaan, 1440, (Wednesday, 8th May, 2019). If I have a cold (runny nose, sneezing, stuffiness), should I break my fast?, How severe an illness must be, in order to warrant breaking the fast in Ramadhan? BismillahirRahmaanir Raheem. Let's remind ourselves that fasting is not a burden on us but a given opportunity to wipe our sins and be so called born again Muslim. You are allowed to break your fast only if fasting makes your illness worse or prevents you from taking medication that you must take for the treatment. In the case of the common cold, you are not allowed to break your fast unless the cold is unbearable for you, and you are not able to function properly without taking medication. If you think this is the case, then you should break your fast, for ALLAH says to the nearest meaning, "Hence, whoever of you lives to see this month (i.e. Ramadhan) shall fast throughout it; but he or she that is ill, or on a jour...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha. 2nd day of Ramadaan, 1440, (Tuesday, 7th May, 2019). There are those who fast while they do not pray, Will their fast be accepted?. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Salaah is the most fundamental pillar of Islam; it is the hallmark of faith and the key to paradise. So, no one can exaggerate the importance of salaah in Islam. We read in the Qur'an: "On the Day of Judgment, those in hellfire will be asked, 'Why are you in hell?' they would answer, because we were not among those who used to pray, nor were in the habit of feeding the poor. Rather, we were simply indulging with those who used to indulge and we used to deny the Day of Reckoning until death came upon us." (Qur'an 74: 43-47). Therefore, no Muslim can afford to neglect the salaah without risking his salvation. The Prophet (peace be upon him) stressed the crucial nature of salaah when he said, "The covenant between us(Muslims) and them(non Muslims...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn. 1st day of Ramadaan, 1440, (Monday, 6th May, 2019). FEW TIPS TO PREVENT THE FEELING OF THIRST DURING OUR RAMADAN DAYS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. AlhamdulilLah for blessing us with another blessed month of the Year. It's my hope that majority of Muslims worldwide if not all started fasting today. May ALLAH accept it from us all. Let's make sure we drink plenty of fluids and water between Iftar and Suhour to prevent dehydration. Limit your intake of fried foods and foods high in fats and sugar. Avoid foods high in salt such as pickles, salty crackers and nuts, and canned foods. Try not to drink too much tea especially at Suhour as it can increase fluids lost through urination. It is highly recommended for Muslims to take their pre-dawn meal (as-suhour) before beginning the day of fasting. The Prophet mentioned its blessings in several traditions. Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 29th/30th day of Shăbaan, 1440, (Sunday, 5th May, 2019). RAMADAN FASTING TO START POSSIBLY TOMORROW MONDAY IN SHAA ALLAH. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As at yesterday evening, there was no reliable sighting of the crescent as such Sha'abaan will end 30 days for Ramadan to commence tomorrow Monday as the Prophet sallalLaahu  Alaihi Wasallam commanded. But if any country or Imam chooses today to be 29th of Shaăban by their calculation then they shouldn't be blamed for fasting on Tuesday if the moon is not sighted tonight as such we must stop any unnecessary arguments that causes hatred and division in this blessed month. I will send a special reminder this evening to clarify if fasting tomorrow is confirmed or not in shaa ALLAH. Is my hope that we all unite and tolerate each other's views hoping for ALLAH'S mercy on us all. Please do not hesitate to ask questions especially pertaining to Ramadan. May ALLAH keep guiding u...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 28th day of Shăbaan, 1440, (Saturday, 4th May, 2019). Being healthy in Ramadan. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. This year, the holy month of Ramadan falls closer to the summer for those of us in Europe in particular, which means that fasting hours become longer but with more rewards in shaa ALLAH. When you fast, your energy mainly depends on the sugar glucose that you consume during your Suhour meal. But this meal can only provide energy for a few hours and then your body has to depend on its stored glucose (glycogen) and fats. And after fasting the whole day, it is the food you eat at Iftar that will provide your body cells with calories and nutrients to give you energy and vitality. For longer lasting energy this year, it is important to pay attention to the quality of the food you eat at this predawn meal. It is considered essential, as it prevents hunger, tissue breakdown and offers better endurance ability during the long day. Try ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 27th day of Shăbaan, 1440, (Friday, 3rd May, 2019). COOKING FOR A HUSBAND WHO CHOOSES NOT TO FAST IN RAMADAN WITHOUT ANY REASON BUT STILL CLAIMS HE IS A MUSLIM WITHOUT PRAYING. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. A wife do not owe the duty of cooking or serving food or drink to her spouse who does not fast during the days of Ramadhan, if he does so without having any valid reason (of sickness, or old age) that would excuse him from fasting. Since we are not allowed to condone or help someone who is doing a sin, by serving him foods and drinks, you are also guilty of a sin if you do so. It is common knowledge in Islam that skipping fasts without valid reason of sickness, travelling difficulties due to old age, is considered a cardinal sin. If a husband does not have a valid excuses not to fast. The husband is guilty of even a graver sin by not praying; even greater than all of these is his denial of his obligation to pray while still consideri...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 26th day of Shăbaan, 1440, (Thursday, 2nd May, 2019). BUYING OUR JANNAT (PARADISE) ON DUNYA (EARTH) ESPECIALLY DURING RAMADAN. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. All worldly things are a trial for mankind (including wealth, businesses, families, careers, Children, Partners etc.). Wealth leads the destruction if not put in check. Majority of the problems challenging the world are because of fitnah(trials) of money. If we go back to the times of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and his noble companions, we see that their approach towards wealth was in stark contrast to what is the approach of We Muslims (and others) nowadays. The reason is simple; they understood Islam and followed it precisely, whereas we do not follow Islam sincerely. It is a matter of grave concern. Even in Ramadan, some are finding ways to avoid fasting, some suspending their haraam relationship temporary AstaghfirulLah, what a joke and risk to ou...
