DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 6th day of RAJAB (Sunday 1st of March, 2020). SHOWING GRATITUDE AND THANKING ALLAH. BismilLaah. ALLAH Glorified and Exalted be HE has bestowed upon us abundant blessings, so HE deserves to be thanked for HIS many Favors. Blessings are commensurate with our gratitude. If you thank ALLAH for HIS Favors, ALLAH will increase and bless you. But if you are ungrateful and always complaining, favors will disappear and immediate punishments may follow in this life before the Hereafter. Blessings are of various types. They include having good health, hearing, seeing, intellect, and organs. The greatest favor is guiding us through Islam, holding fast to, caring for, and comprehending it. ALLAH (Exalted be HE) states: “This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your way of life.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah, 5: 3]. May ALLAH keep guiding our eemaan till Jannat becomes our abode. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt,  28th day of Jumaada Al-Thani (Saturday 22nd of February, 2020). PERFORMING HAJJ IS OBLIGATORY AND VERY BENEFICIAL FOR THOSE WHO CAN AFFORD. BismilLah. Hajj (the Pilgrimage to Makkah) is the fifth pillar of Islam. The Prophet (sallallahu' alayhi wa sallam meaning: may the peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “Islam has been built upon five pillars: declaring that there is none worthy of worship except ALLAH and that Muhammad is the messenger of ALLAH; the establishment of salaah (five compulsory daily prayers; the payment of zakaah (obligatory charity); the Hajj (pilgrimage to the House of ALLAH, if one is able); and sawm of Ramadan (fasting in the month of Ramadan).” (Bukhari 1/ 7). Recognizing these days, months and important events dates not only brings awareness of the diversity within the Muslim population but also instills pride in Muslims especially students who must adopt them anyway. Some Muslim students may be too embarrassed or shy to acknowledge these days, months and holiday events in Islam, which are not yet a part of the dominant worldly culture bcs we fail to adopt them. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis 26th day of Jumaada Al-Thani (Thursday 20th of February, 2020) IS PRAYING TAHIYYATUL MASJID AN OBLIGATION or A RECOMMENDATION? TAHIYYATUL MASJID means to greet the masjid by offering two Sunnah rakaats whenever we enter into any masjid or Mosque which is popularly term as greeting the masjid. Scholars disagree whether praying two rakaats of prayer when we enter the masjid is an obligation (wajib) or a recommendation (mustahab). The primary evidence under discussion is the following narration: Abu Qatadah reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلْيَرْكَعْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ When one of you enters the mosque, then let him pray two rakaats before he sits down. ALLAH says in the Holy Qur'an chapter 3 verse 103 going that; وَاعْتَصِمُواْ بِحَبْلِ اللّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواْ وَاذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَاء فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَانًا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىَ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ. Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH peace be upon him said: ‘The deeds are considered by their intentions, and a person will get the reward according to his intentions.’ We usually make an intention before we perform good deeds such as fasting or giving sadaqah (charity). However, we often tend to forget to make an intention for the little everyday tasks we normally do. If we really want our hasanat (reward from good deeds) to soar during all the time, let's make a sincere intention for every little task we perform. For instance, if you’re cooking for your family, make the intention that the time you spend in the kitchen cooking in order to feed your family is to please ALLAH. This shows how important sunnah making is in marriage. When you look at how agressive men are towards sunnah making you may think that what a man needs from a woman is the sexual. Of course, if he has not married you yet or he does not really intend to marry you what he will need from you is nothing above your body. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn 16th day of Jumaada Al-Thani (Monday 10th of February, 2020). HOW TO DEAL WITH OUR BAD RELATIVES ISLAMICALLY. BismilLah A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of ALLAH, I have relatives with whom I try to keep in touch, but they cut me off; I treat them well, but they treat me badly; I try to be kind to them, but they are cruel to me." He said: "If you are as you say, it is as if you are putting hot ashes in their mouths. You will continue to have support from ALLAH against them so long as you continue doing that." DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad 15th day of Jumaada Al-Thani (Sunday 9th of February, 2020). SIGNS OF A SUCCESSFUL BELIEVER CONTINUES. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the reminder yesterday. ALLAH  says from the 3rd verse of Quran 23 وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَنِ ٱللَّغۡوِ مُعۡرِضُونَ Tafsir ibn kathir And those who turn away from Al-Laghw refers to falsehood, which includes Shirk and sin, and any words or deeds that are of no benefit. If you do these you cannot be part of a successful Muslim. وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِلزَّكَوٰةِ فَٰعِلُونَ And those who pay the Zakah. Most commentators say that the meaning here is the Zakah that is paid on wealth, even though this Ayah was revealed in Makkah, and Zakah was ordained in Al-Madinah. The apparent meaning is that the Zakah that was instituted in Al-Madinah is the one based upon the Nusub and the specific amounts, apart from which it seems that the basic principle of Zakah was enjoined in Makkah. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt 14th day of Jumaada Al-Thani (Saturday 8th of February, 2020). SIGNS OF A SUCCESSFUL BELIEVER. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. In Quran 23:1-10 ALLAH, Who is free from ANY Imperfection says: قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُوْمِنُونَ Successful indeed are the believers, means, they have attained victory and are blessed, for they have succeeded. These are the believers who have the following characteristics: الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ Those who when comes to their Salah are Khashi`un. Ali bin Abi Talhah reported that Ibn Abbas said: خَاشِعُونَ  Khashi`un) means those with fear and with tranquility". Khushu` in prayer is only attained by the one who has emptied his heart totally, who does not pay attention to anything else besides it, and who prefers it above all else. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul  Jumuat 13th day of Jumaada Al-Thani (Friday 7th of February, 2020). SOME OF WHAT THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH SAID CONCERNING GIVING SADAQAH (charity). Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The Prophet said: “Give sadaqah without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” By Imam Tirmidhi hadith number 1887. Hudhaifa and Abu Shaiba reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Every act of goodness is sadaqa. Sahih Muslim, book 5 hadith no. 2197. Narrated by Suraqah ibn Malik: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Shall I not guide you to the most excellent sadaqah? It is to provide for your daughter when she is sent back to you and has no one but you to provide for her." Imam Tirmidhi hadith no. 5002. Narrated 'Adi bin Hatim heard the Prophet saying: "Save yourself from Hell-fire even by giving half a date-fruit in charity for Allah sake." Sahih Bukhari book 24 hadith no. 498. Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: وَلَعْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَقَتْلِهِ وَمَنْ رَمَى مُؤْمِنًا بِكُفْرٍ فَهُوَ كَقَتْلِهِ Cursing a believer is like killing him and charging a believer with unbelief is like killing him. Source: Sahih Bukhari 5754. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: لَا يَنْبَغِي لِصِدِّيقٍ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَعَّانًا It is not befitting the truthful that they curse others. Source: Sahih Muslim 2597. Let's avoid cursing our kids if we want them to be successful in life. We must also avoid cursing other Muslims even if they do but rather seek guidance and forgiveness from ALLAH for them and ALLAH will reward us for that immensely in shaa ALLAH. Please note that ALLAH concluded HIS Message to mankind with the religion of Islam, and HE tells us that HE will not accept any religion other than that. ALLAAH says: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers”[Aal ‘Imraan 3:85]. Refutations are of two types, those done by the people of knowledge, learning and insight, to clarify the truth and refute falsehood, these are beneficial and essential and shouldn't cause any split of the ummah. As for the refutations which emanate from the ignorant and students like us who are not well-versed, or the refutations that emanate from desires and [particular] inclinations, then these refutations are not allowed because they harm and do not benefit. As for the correct, reliable refutations which come from the people of knowledge in clarification of the truth and not based upon desires, then these are essential, because it is not allowed to remain silent about the people of misguidance who spread their misguidance and deceive the Ummah and the Ummah’s youth. Well if both doesn't plan well to please ALLAH, you will end up planning to please Satan as many does today especially in Africa. We start dating and sleeping with each other before the marriage as the man wants to taste/try her first, Astaghfirullah,  that's haraam my dear brothers and especially sisters, why do you make yourself so cheap to a man? Even if he intends marrying you, he must wait till after the marriage that's to respect your dignity and seeking ALLAH'S support.
