THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 20th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Friday 31st August 2018). HOW TO BALANCE THE USAGE OF THE MIND, BODY AND SOUL TO ACHIEVE A SUCCESSFUL END. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from our topic yesterday; The Holy Quran describes the human soul in these beautiful words: [Ash-Shams, 91:7-10] “By the Soul and the proportion and order given to it; and its enlightenment as to its wrong and right; Truly he succeeds that purifies it, and he fails that corrupts it.” My dear respected Brothers and Sisters, if we follow the natural inclination of our soul, constantly seeking unity with ALLAH, yearning to return to Him and earnestly seeking HIS good pleasure, then we will bring some order and proportion to our lives. This is the big challenge we face. And, it’s not only seeking balance, order and proportion in our own lives, but bringing something of this beauty and grace, this serenity, this sakina(tranquility), into the lives of our fami...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 19th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Thursday 30th August 2018). THE SOUL, THE MIND AND THE BODY?. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. My respected Brothers and Sisters in Islam, Something of Heaven lives within each and every one of us. It’s the Ruuh, the soul, the creation of ALLAH that was inspired into our mortal flesh before we were born, and it will detach from this body when we die. When life as we know it comes to an end, our bodies will return to the earth whence it came. Our bodies decompose into its constituent elements, carbon and hydrogen and magnesium, and all the minerals and gases and liquids that sustained us through life. After death these elements will again nourish the earth and what’s left of our bodies will help to ‘push up the daisies’ as the saying goes. When we die, our soul also returns to its origins, to the timeless, space-less realm of eternity, whence it came. Before we were born, our soul was pure, unblemished, like a...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumu Ar-Raabaā, 18th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Wednesday 29th August 2018). CAN WE CELEBRATE OUR ISLAMIC NEW YEAR?. BismilLah. Sheikh Faarooq Ibn Ismaa'eel Al-egbaawi wrote a good article about this topic as follows; All praise is to ALLAH. Peace and Blessings upon Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. We have indeed found some of our brethren over time calling to hijrah celebration and attaching it to the religion. Their evidences: 1) Some of them claim that the religion does not need to be taken with rigidity. This is because if the Non-Muslims can be celebrating new year, Easter, Christmas and so on, which the religion forbids us from partaking in, then there is nothing wrong if the hijrah new year can be taken as a form of celebration to draw Muslims attention away from the celebrations of the Non-Muslims. We say: There is no rigidity in Islaam. Attributing rigidity to Islaam is only an action from ignorance and self desires. There are only two ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumu Al-thalaatha, 17th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Tuesday 28th August 2018). A WORLD OF DECEPTION. BismilLah. A brother shared a very important article to me yesterday and after reading through I decided to share to my readers as well for a reality check. By Sheikh Ibrahim Disina THE world of a fool!!! ﺃﻭﻝ ﻣﺎ ﻳﺴﻘﻂ ﻣﻨﻚ ﻋﻨﺪ ﻣﻮﺗﻚ ﻫﻮ ﺍﺳﻤﻚ .. The first thing you will forget after death ...your name ﻟﺬﻟﻚ ﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﺗﻤﻮﺕ ﻳﻘﻮﻟﻮﻥ ﻋﻨﻚ ﺃﻳﻦ ﺍﻟﺠﺜﺔ .. ؟ That's the reason why when you die they will say: where's the dead body? ﻭﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﻳﺮﻳﺪﻭﻥ ﺍﻟﺼﻼﺓ ﻋﻠﻴﻚ ﻳﻘﻮﻟﻮﻥ ﺍﺣﻀﺮﻭﺍ ﺍﻟﺠﻨﺎﺯﺓ .. ؟ By the time they will pray for you they will say , " bring the corpse " ﻭﻻ ﻳﻨﺎﺩﻭﻧﻚ ﺑﺈﺳﻤﻚ They will not call you by your name ﻭﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﻳﺸﺮﻋﻮﻥ ﺑﺪﻓﻨﻚ ﻳﻘﻮﻟﻮﻥ ﻗﺮﺑﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻤﻴﺖ ﻭﻻ ﻳﻨﺎﺩﻭﻧﻚ ﺑﺎﺳﻤﻚ !.. When they are about to bury you they will say "bring the dead body". They won't call you by your name ﻓﻼ ﺗﻐﺮﻙ ﻗﺒﻴﻠﺘﻚ ﻭﻻ ﻳﻐﺮﻙ ﻣﻨﺼﺒﻚ ﻭﻻ ﻧﺴﺒﻚ .. Do not let your people, or your tribe or your...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumu Al-Ithnayn, 16th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Monday 27th August 2018). RULINGS ON NETWORK MARKETING, PYRAMID SCHEME BUSINESS ETC CONTINUES. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. In yesterday's reminder, I concluded that almost all network/ pyramid scheme form of transactions are haraam. The following are some of the reasons which scholars says it's haraam; 1. It involves riba of two types, riba al-fadl (involving exchange of goods of the same type but of different quantity) and riba al-nasi’ah (involving deferred payment of a larger amount than would be paid if it were paid immediately). The participant pays a small amount of money in order to gain a lot of money, in other words he pays cash for cash of a different amount and with deferred payment. This is the kind of riba that is forbidden according to the texts and by scholarly consensus. The product which the company sells to the agent is simply a screen for this transaction; it is not what the...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 15th day of Zul Hijjah 1439, (Sunday 26th August 2018) RULINGS ON NETWORK MARKETING, PYRAMID SCHEME BUSINESS ETC. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As Muslims it's important we remind ourselves that whatever we do on earth we will one day die and face ALLAH to Account for whatever we accomulated or did with our given choice. Whatever we intend doing we must ask first if it's within Sharia permissibility or not. Don't act before asking. Earning haraam income is a serious crime against our soul. We will die and regret any pesewa we earned through haraam means. Halaal business must involve Halaal commodity, must have buyer and seller, the product must physically be located for exchange with purchasing currency, there should be expenditure to produce a commodity and a profit or loss expectations as part of the transaction etc to make it Halaal business or transaction. Anything short of this is haraam. A pyramid scheme is a business m...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Sabt, 14th day of Zul Hijjah, (Saturday 25th August 2018) REFUTING LIES ABOUT ISLAM ON SLAVE GIRLS/CONCUBINES. BismilLah It is true that a lot of people including some ignorant Muslims push this subject ‘under the rug’ and do not understand it or are sometimes ashamed of this concept. That is because, today’s society and behavior is absolutely different from the conditions prevalent over 1400 years ago at the time of Revelation of the Quran. There is no place on earth where this concept is practiced today openly, thus to really understand the concept in its entirety, we must try to imagine the times of the Revelation of the Glorious Quran. As a Muslim, it's compulsory to learn about Islam to at least explain to non Muslims about misconceptions but to speak against or dislike something about Islam without been bothered to learn shows our high level of ignorance. Since time immemorial, slavery was an accepted practice; thus it was not Islam t...
