TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-QURAYSH (Qur’an 106), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-ithnayn, 16th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Momday, 5th January, 2026.  BismilLah.

Let's begin our studies of Suuratul Quraysh (Qur’an 106).

HISTORICAL CONTEXT.

This suurah is directly connected to Suurah Al-Fฤซl (Qur'an 105). After ALLAH Azzawajal had destroyed Abraha and the army of the elephant, the Quraysh gained greater respect and safety among Arab tribes.

Quraysh benefited from trade caravans: Winter → Yemen, Summer → Syria (Shฤm). Safety from attack. Steady food supply in a barren land

๐Ÿ‘‰ ALLAH Azzawajal reminds them: These blessings did not come from idols or effort alone, they came from ALLAH Azzawajal.

VERSE-BY-VERSE TAFSEER & COMMENTARY:

ู„ِุฅِูŠู„َุงِู ู‚ُุฑَูŠْุดٍ

1. “For the protection and unity of Quraysh” Ilฤf means: Familiarity, Safety, Stability, Unity. ALLAH Azzawajal granted Quraysh:

Political influence, Social unity

Protection from enemies.

๐Ÿ“Œ Lesson: Stability itself is a blessing from ALLAH Azzawajal.

2. “Their security in the journeys of winter and summer”

ุฅِูŠู„َุงِูู‡ِู…ْ ุฑِุญْู„َุฉَ ุงู„ุดِّุชَุงุกِ ูˆَุงู„ุตَّูŠِْู

Trade was the backbone of Quraysh’s economy. Others feared robbery and tribal attacks. Quraysh travelled safely.

This security existed before modern law or armies.

๐Ÿ“Œ Lesson: Sustained income and safe livelihood come from ALLAH Azzawajal, not just planning but on condition that we are united in obedience to ALLAH Azzawajal and HIS Messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam else the kuffar will keep humiliating us. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Athalaatha, 17th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Tuesday, 6th January, 2026. TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-QURAYSH (Qur’an 106), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE continues. BismilLah.

Let's continue with our studies of Suuratul Quraysh (Qur’an 106) from yesterday's reminder.

َูู„ْูŠَุนْุจُุฏُูˆุง ุฑَุจَّ ู‡َٰุฐَุง ุงู„ْุจَูŠْุชِ

“So let them worship the Lord of this House”

This House = The Ka‘bah

ALLAH Azzawajal reminds them:

You guard the Ka‘bah, but ALLAH is its true Lord. Worship must be directed only to HIM.

๐Ÿ“Œ Message: Gratitude is proven through worship, not words.

“Who fed them against hunger and secured them from fear”

Two greatest human needs are:

Food (physical survival), Security (emotional peace)

ALLAH Azzawajal mentions:

Hunger first → survival

Fear second → peace of heart.

๐Ÿ“Œ Lesson: When these are present, one must never forget ALLAH Azzawajal. To be continued tomorrow with some practical Lessons for Our Daily Life from this suurah. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Arba'a, 18th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Wednesday, 7th January, 2026. PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR OUR DAILY LIFE FROM SUURAH AL-QURAYSH, QUR’AN 106. BismilLah.

Let's conclude on our studies of suuratul Quraysh with some practical Lessons for Our Daily Life as follows;

1️⃣ Let's recognise ALLAH Azzawajal in our daily provisions such as Income, Job security, Health, Family safety

๐Ÿ›‘ Do not attribute blessings only to effort or connections.

2️⃣ Gratitude requires action. True shukr (appreciation/Thanks) includes: Salah, Obedience, Avoiding sin, Helping others. Etc.

๐Ÿ“– ALLAH Azzawajal says “If you are grateful, I will surely increase you…” (Qur’an 14:7).

3️⃣ Safety is a forgotten blessing.

Many only remember ALLAH Azzawajal in danger. This suurah teaches us to remember ALLAH Azzawajal in comfort.

4️⃣ Worship the Giver, not the gift.

Quraysh enjoyed trade, wealth, and status. But ALLAH Azzawajal asked: “Worship ME alone.”

5️⃣ Unity attracts blessings.

Quraysh were united → ALLAH Azzawajal blessed them. Division leads to weakness as we are witnessing today.

Let's note that, ALLAH Azzawajal feeds us when others go hungry,

and keeps us safe while others live in fear, so HE Azzawajal deserves our sincere worship, obedience, and gratitude. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-khamis, 19th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Thursday, 8th January, 2026. TAFSEER OF QUR’AN 105, SUURAH AL-FIL, WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

This suurah is about ALLAH'S absolute power and HIS protection of the Sacred House (the Kaabah).

It reminds the Quraysh, and all of humanity, that victory, protection, and honor come only from ALLAH Azzawajal, not from power, weapons, or numbers.

Historical Context: The suurah refers to a well-known historical event that occurred shortly before the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam.

Abraha, the Christian governor of Yemen under the Abyssinian king, built a grand church to divert Arab pilgrimage away from the Kaabah.

When his plan failed, he marched towards Makkah with a powerful army including elephants to destroy the Kaabah. The Quraysh were helpless and had no army to resist.

ALLAH Azzawajal intervened directly, sending flocks of birds that dropped small stones, destroying the army completely.

This event is known as “The Year of the Elephant”.

Verse-by-Verse Tafseer and Commentary:

Verse 1

ุฃَู„َู…ْ ุชَุฑَ ูƒَูŠَْู َูุนَู„َ ุฑَุจُّูƒَ ุจِุฃَุตْุญَุงุจِ ุงู„ِْููŠู„ِ

“Have you not seen how your LORD, ALLAH Azzawajal dealt with the companions of the elephant?”

This is a rhetorical question, meant to awaken reflection.

“Have you not seen” means “Have you not heard and understood clearly?” ALLAH Azzawajal attributes the event directly to HIS Lordship and control, not to chance or nature.

๐Ÿ”น Lesson: ALLAH Azzawajal reminds people of known events to strengthen faith and certainty.

Verse 2

ุฃَู„َู…ْ ูŠَุฌْุนَู„ْ ูƒَูŠْุฏَู‡ُู…ْ ِููŠ ุชَุถْู„ِูŠู„ٍ

“Did HE not make their plan go astray?” Abraha’s plan was carefully calculated, but ALLAH Azzawajal rendered it useless. No matter how powerful a plan seems, ALLAH Azzawajal can nullify it instantly.

๐Ÿ”น Lesson: Human plotting fails when it opposes ALLAH’S will. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaumul Jumuat, 20th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Friday, 9th January, 2026. TAFSEER OF QUR’AN 105, SUURAH AL-FIL, WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE continues. BismilLah.

Alhamdulillah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week. Let's continue from yesterday's reminder;

Verse 3

ูˆَุฃَุฑْุณَู„َ ุนَู„َูŠْู‡ِู…ْ ุทَูŠْุฑًุง ุฃَุจَุงุจِูŠู„َ

“And HE sent against them birds in flocks.” The birds were small and seemingly insignificant. ALLAH Azzawajal chose unexpected means to defeat a mighty army.

๐Ÿ”น Lesson: ALLAH Azzawajal does not need large forces to achieve HIS decree.

Verse 4

ุชَุฑْู…ِูŠู‡ِู…ْ ุจِุญِุฌَุงุฑَุฉٍ ู…ِّู† ุณِุฌِّูŠู„ٍ

“Striking them with stones of baked clay.” Each bird carried stones that precisely struck their targets. The punishment was accurate, deliberate, and decisive.

๐Ÿ”น Lesson: ALLAH’S punishment is not random; it is exact and just.

Verse 5

َูุฌَุนَู„َู‡ُู…ْ ูƒَุนَุตٍْู ู…َّุฃْูƒُูˆู„ٍ

“And HE made them like eaten straw.” The once mighty army was reduced to worthless debris, like crops chewed and discarded by animals. A powerful ending that emphasizes humiliation after arrogance.

๐Ÿ”น Lesson: Arrogance leads to destruction.

To be continued tomorrow with some practical Lessons for Our Daily Life. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum As-sabt, 21st day of Rajab, 1447AH, Saturday, 10th January, 2026.

PRACTICAL LESSONS FROM SUURAH AL-FIL FOR OUR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

Let's continue on our studies of suuratul Fil, Qur'an 105 with some practical Lessons below;

1. Trust ALLAH Azzawajal in Difficult Situations

When problems feel overwhelming, remember: If ALLAH Azzawajal defeated an army with birds, HE can solve your problems too.

2. Avoid Arrogance and Pride.

Success should lead to humility, not self-glorification.

3. Do Not Fear the Power of Oppressors. Oppression may appear strong, but ALLAH’S justice always prevails.

4. Protect What is Sacred. This includes: Salah, Family, responsibilities, Trusts (Amaanah),

Islamic values. ALLAH Azzawajal honors those who honor what is sacred.

5. Reflect on History. Learning from past events strengthens Eemaan and awareness of ALLAH’S power.

6. Always remember that, When ALLAH Azzawajal is with you, no enemy can defeat you. And when ALLAH Azzawajal withdraws HIS support, no power can save you.

May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...

ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else.
