DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaumul Jumuat, 13th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Friday, 2nd January, 2026. TAFSEER OF Qur’an 107 SUURATUL MAAUUN, WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

Alhamdulillah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week. We praise HIM for HIS guidance and blessings. We send our sincere salutations to our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam.

Let's start studying suuratul Maauun (Qur’an 107). Main Theme: True faith is shown through sincerity in worship and compassion toward people.

This suurah was revealed during the Makkan period when the Quraysh outwardly claimed religion but lacked mercy and social responsibility. Orphans were oppressed. The poor were ignored

Prayer was performed as a display, not sincere devotion. ALLAH Azzawajal exposes hypocrisy, teaching that religion is not rituals alone, but moral responsibility and kindness.

Verse 1

أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ

“Have you seen the one who denies the Judgment?”

Commentary

“Deen” here means the Day of Judgment, The Recompense and the Final Rewards. Denial is not always verbal, behavior can also deny faith. Someone who believes they will not be accountable acts without conscience.

🔹 Key Point: True belief in the Hereafter changes how we treat others.

Verse 2

فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ

“That is the one who repels the orphan.”

Commentary

“Yaduʿʿu” = pushes away harshly.

Orphans symbolize society’s most vulnerable. Cruelty toward them reflects a hard heart

🔹 Islam measures faith by how we treat the weak. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum As-sabt, 14th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Saturday, 3rd January, 2026. TAFSEER OF Qur’an 107 SUURATUL MAAUUN, WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE continues. BismilLah.

Let's continue from yesterday's reminder with our studies of suuratul Maauun (الماعون).

Verse 3

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ

“And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.”

Commentary

Not only refusing to feed, but discouraging others

Islam values promoting good, not silent indifference

🔹 Faith includes social responsibility.

Verse 4–5

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ ۝ الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ

“So woe to those who pray, those who are heedless of their prayer.”

Commentary

This is not about people who forget occasionally. It refers to those who:

Delay prayers intentionally, Pray carelessly, Lack humility and sincerity

🔹 Prayer without presence of heart is spiritually dangerous.

Verse 6

الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ

“Those who make a show of their deeds.”

Commentary

Riyā’ (showing off) destroys reward.

Prayer becomes a performance, not worship

📖 The Prophet ﷺ said:

“What I fear most for you is minor shirk: showing off.” (Ahmad)

Verse 7

وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ

“And they withhold simple assistance.”

Commentary

“Al-Māʿūn” refers to:

Small kindnesses, Lending simple items. Everyday acts of help

🔹 Islam values even the smallest good deeds. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaumul ahad, 15th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Sunday, 4th January, 2026. PRACTICAL LESSONS FROM SUURATUL MAAUUN FOR OUR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

Let's continue with our studies of suuratul Maauun.

1. Treat the Vulnerable with Honor.

Orphans, widows, refugees, the elderly. Supporting them strengthens their eemaan.

2. Feed & Support the Poor

Even encouraging others counts.

Charity is not just money, it’s also caring.

3. Improve Quality of Prayer. Let's Pray on time. Focus with humility (khushūʿ). Avoid rushing or showing off

4. Checking Our Intentions:

Ask: Am I doing this for ALLAH Azzawajal sake or for people to see and praise me as a good person?

5. Never Underestimate Small Good Deeds: Smiling, Lending items,

Helping neighbors

Small kindnesses protect faith.

Let's note that; “True Islam is not only in the mosque, but in mercy, humility, and everyday kindness.”

Suurat al-Maauun warns us that prayer alone does not save us. Islam demands, Sincere worship

Soft hearts, Active compassion.

Let our salah shape our character.

Let our faith show in how we treat others. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...

ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else.
