TAFSEER OF SUURATUL KAWTHAR, Qur'an 108 WITH PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR DAILY LIFE

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Arba'a, 11th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Wednesday, 31st December, 2025. BismilLah.

Background and Context of Revelation: Suurat al-Kawthar was revealed in Makkah, during a period when the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu  alaiyhi wassallam faced mockery, grief, and emotional pain.

The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam had lost his sons (Qāsim and Abdullāh). The Quraysh mocked him, calling him “Abtar” (cut off, without legacy).

This surah came as divine comfort, honour, and reassurance from ALLAH Azzawajal. ALLAH Azzawajal responded to human insult with eternal honour.

Verse-by-Verse Tafseer and Commentary

Verse 1: “Indeed, ALLAH Azzawajal have granted you, Mohammed  Al-Kawthar.” Meaning of Al-Kawthar

Linguistically: abundant, overflowing goodness Includes:

A river in Paradise given exclusively to the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Prophethood and revelation, A vast and lasting Ummah. His unmatched status and honour, Continuous rewards until the Day of Judgment.

Key Message:

Even when the world appears to mock or abandon you, ALLAH's gifts are far greater and eternal. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Arba'a, 11th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Wednesday, 31st December, 2025. TAFSEER OF SUURATUL KAWTHAR, Qur'an 108 WITH PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

Let's continue with our studies of suuratul Kawthar from yesterday's reminder;

Verse 2

فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ

“So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.”

This verse teaches gratitude through action.

Prayer (Ṣalaah) → sincerity and connection with ALLAH Azzawajal

Sacrifice (Naḥr) → devotion, obedience, and giving for ALLAH’S sake.

🔹 Scholars explain this as:

Establishing prayer purely for ALLAH Azzawajal sake and

Offering sacrifices without shirk or showing off. Gratitude is not just spoken, it is lived.

Verse 3

  إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَرُ

“Indeed, your enemy is the one who will be cut off.”

Those who mocked the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam are forgotten. The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam is remembered every second across the world and this is another live miracle of the Qur’an. Aside Abu Lahab who is mentioned in the Qur'an in a curse manner, no single person who was known to mock the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam is remembered today and such persons may still be crying in their graves. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH with some practical Lessons for Our Daily Life. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-khamis, 12th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Thursday, 1st January, 2026. PRACTICAL LESSONS FROM SUURATUL KAWTHAR FOR OUR Daily Life_*. BismilLah.

Alhamdulillah, we've been studying this suurah for the past 3 days. Let's glance through some practical Lessons for Our Daily Life;

1. Do Not Be Broken by Insults or Loss. When people belittle you, remember: ALLAH Azzawajal sees what they do and HE honours whom HE wills.

2. Respond to Hardship with Worship. The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was told:

Pray, not complain.

➡️ When facing stress, grief, or injustice: Increase ṣalah, Recite Qur’an regularly, Make dua,

Give charity etc

3. Be Thankful in Action, Not Words Only. Pray on time. Share what ALLAH has given you, Help others quietly

4. True Legacy Is Faith and Good Deeds. Children, wealth, fame may fade, but faith, prayer, and sincerity endure.

5. Trust ALLAH'S Justice. You do not need to defend yourself against every insult. ALLAH Azzawajal defends the believers.

5. If ALLAH Azzawajal has given you Eemaan, Guidance, and the ability to pray, then you already possess Al-Kawthar in your life.

Dear brothers and sisters in Islaam,

Suurat al-Kawthar teaches us that when the world insults you, ALLAH Azzawajal honours you. When people try to cut you off, ALLAH Azzawajal connects you to HIMSELF. Let us respond to ALLAH’S blessings not with arrogance, but with prayer, sacrifice, and sincere gratitude. For indeed, the one who turns away from ALLAH Azzawajal is the one truly cut off. Alhamdulillah. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...

ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
