TAFSEER OF SURAH AN-NASR (Qur’an 110), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-khamis, 5th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Thursday, 25th December, 2025. BismilLah.

Suurah An-Naṣr, “THE DIVINE HELP” is about, Victory, gratitude, humility, and preparation for the Hereafter. It was revealed towards the end of the Prophet’s sallallahu  alaihi  wasallam life, after the Conquest of Makkah.

Islam had spread widely.

The Quraysh resistance had collapsed. People were entering Islam in large numbers. This surah was also a subtle farewell message to the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam, indicating that his mission was nearing completion. Ibn ‘Abbās (رضي الله عنهما) said:

“This surah signified the approaching death of the Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam.”

VERSE-BY-VERSE MEANINGS & COMMENTARY

Verse 1

إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ

“When the help of ALLAH comes and the victory…” Commentary:

Naṣr (help): Divine support from ALLAH Azzawajal, not human strength. Fat-ḥu (victory): Refers primarily to the Conquest of Makkah, which opened the doors of hearts and lands to Islam.

The victory came exactly as promised, despite years of hardship, persecution, and exile.

Lesson: Success comes only by ALLAH’S permission, not by numbers or power. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

Ustaz Abdulrazak Abu: DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaumul Jumuat, 6th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Friday, 26th December, 2025. TAFSEER OF SURAH AN-NASR (Qur’an 110), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

Let's continue from yesterday's reminder;

Verse 2

وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا

“And you see people entering the religion of ALLAH in crowds.”

Commentary:

After Makkah’s conquest, tribes who once opposed Islam now embraced it openly.

Islam spread rapidly because truth was clear and falsehood collapsed.

The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam witnessed the fulfillment of his lifelong mission. This shows that true da‘wah bears fruit with patience and sincerity.

Verse 3

فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًا

“So glorify the praise of your Lord and seek HIS forgiveness. Indeed, HE is Ever-Accepting of repentance.” Commentary:

Instead of pride or celebration, ALLAH Azzawajal commands:

Tasbīḥ (glorifying ALLAH)

Ḥamd (praising ALLAH)

Istighfār (seeking forgiveness)

This teaches humility at the peak of success. The Prophet ﷺ increased his du‘ā’:

“Subḥānaka Allāhumma wa biḥamdika, astaghfiruka wa atūbu ilayk.” Victory should lead to gratitude and repentance, not arrogance. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH with some practical Lessons for our daily life. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum As-sabt, 7th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Saturday, 27th December, 2025.

PRACTICAL LESSONS FROM SUURAH AN-NASR (Qur’an 110), FOR OUR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

Let's continue with our studies on this suurah. Let's be mindful of the following facts;

1️⃣ Success Is From ALLAH Azzawajal Alone. Whether in work, family, da‘wah, or personal goals, ALLAH Azzawajal is the true source of victory. Never attribute success solely to intelligence, effort, or position.

➡️ Action: Say Alḥamdulillāh sincerely after every success.

2️⃣ Be Humble When You Achieve.

The higher you rise, the more humble you should become.

Pride after success leads to downfall.

➡️ Action: Increase worship and charity when things go well.

3️⃣ Keep Repenting Even When Things Are Going Well. The Prophet ﷺ was sinless, yet commanded to seek forgiveness. Istighfaar purifies the heart and protects blessings.

➡️ Action: Make daily istighfaair part of your routine (at least 100 times).

4️⃣ Patience Leads to Breakthrough

Years of struggle in Makkah were followed by victory.

ALLAH’S help often comes after endurance.

➡️ Action: Stay firm in hardship—relief is closer than you think.

5️⃣ Prepare for the Hereafter

This suurah reminds us that every mission has an end.

True success is meeting ALLAH Azzawajal with a clean heart.

➡️ Action: Reflect often on your purpose and akhirah.

When ALLAH Azzawajal grants you success, do not raise your head in pride, lower it in sujuud. When doors open for you, open your heart to gratitude. When people praise you, remember your flaws and seek forgiveness. For every victory in this world is a reminder that the final return is to ALLAH Azzawajal. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...

ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
