Short Khutbah on Suurah al-Ikhlās.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaumul Jumuat, 28th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Friday, 19th December, 2025.  BismilLah.

All praise is due to ALLAH Azzawajal. We praise HIM, we seek HIS help, and we seek HIS forgiveness. We seek refuge in ALLAH Azzawajal from the evil of our souls and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever ALLAH Azzawajal guides, none can misguide, and whomsoever HE leaves astray, none can guide. We all bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship except ALLAH Azzawajal alone, and that Muhammad ﷺ is HIS servant and Messenger.

Dear brothers and sisters in Islaam,

ALLAH Azzawajal says:

> “Say to mankind: HE is ALLAH, the One. ALLAH, the Eternal Refuge. HE neither begets nor is born. And there is nothing comparable to HIM.” (QUR’AN 112:1–4).

This short suurah, only four verses, carries the foundation of our faith. It teaches us who ALLAH Azzawajal truly is.

ALLAH is ONE, not one among many, but One without partner, without equal, without rival. Our hearts should not be attached to anything the way they are attached to ALLAH Azzawajal. No person, no wealth, no position deserves the reliance that belongs only to HIM.

ALLAH is As-Ṣamad, the One we turn to in every need. When problems overwhelm us, when doors seem closed, when people disappoint us, remember: ALLAH never disappoints. Turn to HIM before turning to the creation.

ALLAH does not have children, nor was HE born. HE is eternal and perfect. This reminds us that everything we depend on in this world is temporary, but ALLAH remains forever.

And ALLAH says, “There is nothing comparable to HIM.” Whatever greatness we imagine, ALLAH is far greater. Whatever mercy we experience, ALLAH’S mercy is far more.

May ALLAH Azzawajal make us sincere in our belief, firm in our faith, and constant in remembering HIM. May ALLAH Azzawajal purify our hearts from shirk, hypocrisy, and doubt. We seek ALLAH Azzawajal to keep sending peace and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his family, and his companions. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 9th day of Muharram (Friday 28th August 2020). ACTS THAT CAN EARN US PARADISE. BismilLah.  As Muslims we must always learn and implement actions that can earn us the Pleasure of ALLAH our CREATOR in return for HIS Paradise awaiting HIS sincere servants.  Some of the things that can get us closer to ALLAH are , fasting regularly, Obedience to ALLAH, HIS Messenger, Our Parents etc. following funeral procession of a Muslim, feeding poor people, visiting sick people regularly etc.  Abu Huraira (Radhiallahu 'anhu) reported, that ALLAH'S Messenger (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said: “Who is fasting today?” Abu Bakr (Radhiallahu 'anhu) said: I have. He (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) (again) said: Who has followed a funeral procession today? Abu Bakr (Radhiallahu 'anhu) said: I have. He (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam - the Holy Prophet) again said: Who amongst you has served food to the needy today Abu Bakr (Radhiallahu ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat and Yaumul Aashuura. 10th day of Muharram, 1445AH (Friday, 28th July, 2023). SPECIAL EID DAY FOR US ALL. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum WarahmatulLah to you all. AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day. Today mark the day when ALLAH granted Musah alayhi salaam victory over Fir'awn. Today mark the day ALLAH humiliated HIS worse enemy on earth Fir'awn for his disbelief in ALLAH and claiming he was ALLAH. We are all fasting on this blessed day seeking forgiveness from ALLAH for our sins from last year till date as the Prophet sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam recommended.  Those who are unable to fast can still do much to earn lots of rewards especially our sisters and daughters in their monthly cycle. You can recite lots of azkaar and give sadaqah with your intention to seek forgiveness from ALLAH. Please remember today is Friday lets strive to go to Masjid early and also remember to send salutations to our...
