DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-ithnayn, 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Monday, 8th December, 2025.

TAFSEER OF SURAH AL-FĀTIḤAH WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

Surah Al-Fātiḥah is the opening of the Qur’an, recited in every unit of prayer (ṣalāh). It is a dua’ taught by ALLAH Azzawajal HIMSELF, a conversation between a servant and His LORD.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no prayer for the one who does not recite Umm al-Kitāb (Sahih al-Bukhari). This shows its spiritual weight: Our salah is a conversation with ALLAH Azzawajal.

Let's study it's meaning, lessons and reflections.

1️⃣  بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

“In the Name of ALLAH, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful.” We begin everything with ALLAH’S name, symbolising dependence, not independence.

“Ar-Raḥmān” = ALLAH’S mercy that covers everything.

“Ar-Raḥīm” = a special, continuous mercy for the believers.

Lesson: Begin your tasks with “Bismillah”; it brings barakah and protection.

2️⃣  الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

“All praise is for ALLAH, Lord of all worlds.” ALLAH deserves praise for who HE is and what HE does, whether we see HIS wisdom or not. “Rabb” means: Creator, Sustainer, Provider, Caregiver, Owner.

Lessons: Gratitude increases our blessings. ALLAH Azzawajal cares for us in every moment, even when we don’t realise it. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Athalaatha, 18th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Tuesday, 9th December, 2025. TAFSEER OF SURAH AL-FĀTIḤAH WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE continues. BismilLah.

Let's continue with the meaning, lessons and reflections of SuuratulFaatihah.

3️⃣ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

“The Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful.” Repeated again to show: the foundation of the relationship between ALLAH Azzawajal and HIS servants is MERCY.

Lesson: Never despair of the mercy of ALLAH, no matter your mistakes.

4️⃣ مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

“Master of the Day of Judgment.”

ALLAH Azzawajal alone will judge; no power, wealth, family, or status will help us. “Mālik” shows HIS ownership; “Malik” (King) shows authority and both are HIS.

Lessons:

Be mindful of the Day of Judgment. Live with accountability. Wronging others will be taken seriously.

5️⃣ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

“YOU alone we worship, and from YOU alone we seek help.”

The most powerful declaration of TAWHEED in the Qur’an. First half: pure devotion. Second half: admission of absolute need.

Lessons:

Worship ALLAH Azzawajal sincerely: salah, dua, charity, obedience. Seek HIS help in everything, problems, marriage, children, work, health. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Arba'a, 19th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Wednesday, 10th December, 2025.

6️⃣  اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

“Guide us to the straight path.” The most important dua in a Muslim’s life.

Guidance is not just knowing the truth; it is practicing it, loving it, and staying firm on it.

Lessons:

Guidance is not guaranteed, keep asking daily. Without ALLAH’S help, anyone can slip.

7️⃣  صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ

“The path of those You have blessed,”

غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

“Not the path of those who earned Your anger nor those who went astray.”

The blessed = prophets, truthful ones, martyrs, righteous believers.

Those who earned anger = those who knew the truth but rejected or distorted it.

Those astray = those who followed desires or misguided ideas.

Lessons:

Knowledge + action = success.

Knowledge without action = ALLAH'S anger. Action without knowledge = misguidance. Hope we've reminded ourselves about the beauty and importance of this suurah. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
