The dangers of "Bid'ah"(Religious Innovation in Islam) and the need for tolerance

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum al-ithnayn, 26th day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Monday, 17th November, 2025.

 BismilLah.

I would like to remind myself and all brothers and sisters in Islam that, Islam is a complete way of life. Islam is not about what we think or what our Sheikh or our Imam or our fathers says but Islam is the way the Prophet taught us been narrated to us through the companions and their students till today. Whatever your father, Imam etc says about the deen, respectfully ask him for proof from the Quran, Sunnah or consensus of past scholars.

We read from almost any speech of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi the statements "Wa sharrul Umoori Muhdathaatuhaa, Wa kulla Bid'atin dhalalah, wa kulla dhalalatin fin-naar" (Sahih Muslim). Translation of the above Hadith: "Every religious innovation is a misguidance and every misguidance goes to Hell fire. The prophet never spoke in khutbah without these words and that shows it's importance and till today these phrases are been used by our imams in khutbah.

Scholars of hadith and explanation to this hadith from the companions through thier students to us indicate that; Kullu bid'atin dalaala: "Every innovation is a misguidance include all religious innovations, the term kullu ("every") in the Hadith indicate everything religious without exception, in Arabic it may mean "Nearly all" or "the vast majority."

Sheikh al-Islam lbn Hajar Al Asqalani, the commentator on al-Bukhari, said, "Anything that did not exist during the Prophet's time is called innovation, but some are good while others are not. Good ones can be inventions which are not religious but most religious innovations are dangerous to our faith.

From the above its clear that scholars are concerned about religious innovations as such we must not waste our time to do anything or support anything without proof and we must also avoid getting divided because of others mistakes if we choose to call it a mistake so I'm appealing to all brothers and sisters that we should try to tolerate each other's opinions and only pray that ALLAH Azzawajal guide us all to Jannat. Some have decided to celebrate the birth of the Prophet reasons only known to them. There is no need to argue or fight over this. You may decide not to be Part bcs you don't have proof for it like myself but equally we should avoid using abusive language or insult to those who decide to do it. Let's strive to adhere the command of ALLAH Azzawajal not to be divided. That's very important. We are all Muslims following the Quran and teachings of the Prophet no need to call yourself by any sect name.

May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
