DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm As-sabt, 19th day of Rabeeu ath-thaani 1447AH, Saturday, 11th October, 2025.

  BismilLah.

In response to this question, which many people are facing, let's note that one of the purposes of the practice of weekly and monthly fasting in Islam is to help us overcome our destructive habits and create positive and life-enhancing habits and thus prepare us to face the challenges of life.

Therefore, if you were to fast and turn to ALLAH Azzawajal for help, you can beat your fornication and other bad habits. We have weekly fastings on Mondays and Thursdays and monthly on the 13th, 14th and 15th of each Islamic month as our weapon against Satan.

You can also do the same, but before doing that you must gather enough courage and inner strength by talking to yourself about the negative aspects of fornication and other haraam lifestyles mentioned in this question. No one can stop an unhealthy habit if they continue to glamorise it deep in their heart.

After convincing yourself and creating enough self-motivation, you should turn to ALLAH Azzawajal through dhikr (remembrance of ALLAH). Thus, every time you are prompted to light a cigarette, to admire a passing sister or respond to a call of your girl/boyfriend, cancel that by repeating Subhaana ALLAAH (Glory be to ALLAH), al-hamdul lillaah (Praise be to ALLAH), ALLAAHU AKBAR (ALLAH is most Great), anytime you feel like fornicating, cheating, betting etc just do the above. You also need to beg ALLAH Azzawajal to give you enough power to overcome this MONSTER lifestyle. ALLAH Azzawajal is certainly with those who strive for excellence in virtuous deeds. So, visualise what you are praying for as already given to you. If you are sincere, you will be rewarded for your efforts. Islamic ways of life are hard, and yet it is easy for those whom ALLAH Azzawajal has made it easy. You can expect ALLAH Azzawajal to help you, if only you turn sincerely to HIM and surrender yourself to HIM.

This is not only for the questioner but for all those in any bad habit. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding us through our efforts to be good Muslims and keep protecting us from our bad habits. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
