DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm As-sabt, 21st day of Jumaadal Uulaa, 1446AH (Saturday, 23rd November 2024). STAY AWAY FROM BAD FRIENDS. BismilLah.

Many of our brothers and sisters start practising the deen and decide wholeheartedly to progress on the straight path. Yet, shortly after, they find themselves retracting instead of progressing. In many cases, this goes back to either being alone and not having righteous companions or having the wrong companions. Both cases are very dangerous on one’s spiritual development.

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) had Sahaaba (companions). He actually didn’t need them, and if ALLAH willed, HE could have supported him with countless number of Angels to aid him in whatever he needed as ALLAH did in the battle of Badr. But ALLAH made the sahaaba (companions) of the Prophet a significant part of this deen and this path. It is as though ALLAH Almighty is teaching us that this path NEEDS righteous companions.

As a matter of fact, ALLAH ordered us in Suurat Al Kahf (Quran 18), which we are encouraged to recite every Friday saying:

” And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking HIS countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart I have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect.” (Qur’an 18: 28).

It is a direct order to keep the company of those who remember ALLAH constantly through words and actions. Those who are seeking HIM sincerely, not those who are caught up in the deluding temporary amusement of this world and give little to no attention to the afterlife.

Please remember my dad in your dua as his health is getting worse. May ALLAH have mercy on him and all our sick relatives. Aameen.

May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from friends who have no benefit to our spiritual being. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 9th day of Muharram (Friday 28th August 2020). ACTS THAT CAN EARN US PARADISE. BismilLah.  As Muslims we must always learn and implement actions that can earn us the Pleasure of ALLAH our CREATOR in return for HIS Paradise awaiting HIS sincere servants.  Some of the things that can get us closer to ALLAH are , fasting regularly, Obedience to ALLAH, HIS Messenger, Our Parents etc. following funeral procession of a Muslim, feeding poor people, visiting sick people regularly etc.  Abu Huraira (Radhiallahu 'anhu) reported, that ALLAH'S Messenger (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said: “Who is fasting today?” Abu Bakr (Radhiallahu 'anhu) said: I have. He (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) (again) said: Who has followed a funeral procession today? Abu Bakr (Radhiallahu 'anhu) said: I have. He (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam - the Holy Prophet) again said: Who amongst you has served food to the needy today Abu Bakr (Radhiallahu ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat and Yaumul Aashuura. 10th day of Muharram, 1445AH (Friday, 28th July, 2023). SPECIAL EID DAY FOR US ALL. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum WarahmatulLah to you all. AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day. Today mark the day when ALLAH granted Musah alayhi salaam victory over Fir'awn. Today mark the day ALLAH humiliated HIS worse enemy on earth Fir'awn for his disbelief in ALLAH and claiming he was ALLAH. We are all fasting on this blessed day seeking forgiveness from ALLAH for our sins from last year till date as the Prophet sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam recommended.  Those who are unable to fast can still do much to earn lots of rewards especially our sisters and daughters in their monthly cycle. You can recite lots of azkaar and give sadaqah with your intention to seek forgiveness from ALLAH. Please remember today is Friday lets strive to go to Masjid early and also remember to send salutations to our...
