DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 26th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Wednesday, 3rd July 2024). COVERING OUR OWN AND OTHERS FAULTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA. BismilLah.
Imam Abu Huraira may ALLAH be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Everyone from my nation will be pardoned except those who sin in public. Among them is a man who commits an evil deed in the night which ALLAH has covered for him, then in the morning he says: O people, I have done this sin. His Lord had covered him during the night but in the morning he unveils what ALLAH has covered. Sahih Bukhari 5721.
We've learned from the above that it's evil to let anyone know of our sins or others sins. We should cry to ALLAH to forgive us instead of boasting this is my girlfriend/ boyfriend and walking with them in public and some even displaying their haraam relation in public on Facebook or whatsapp display etc with excuse of planning marriage. ALLAH has warned not to forgive such people so let's fear ALLAH, AL-MUTAKABBIR (The Supreme, The Majestic) and repent today. Unfortunately some are also using social media for their selfish gains by abusing others through backbiting and slandering in public and that's also considered open sin. If you have any issue with anyone find a way to reconcile or to resolve your issue with the person secretly not by coming on social media to try disgracing him or her in public. That's an open sin.
May ALLAH forgive us all and protect us from such satanic influences. Aameen.
