THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 21st day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Sunday 31st March 2024).  LET'S MAXIMISE OUR REWARDS THROUGH OUR GOOD DEEDS. BismilLah.  Ramadhan is running away like it never started. A few days ago, we were talking about when Ramadhan starts, but today, sadly, we are counting the days left for Ramadhan to finish. May ALLAH count us among those who are successful in this blessed month.  ALLAH says; O you who believe! Do your duty to ALLAH and fear HIM. And seek the Waseela (means of approach to HIM), and strive hard in HIS Cause (as much as you can), so that you may be successful. (Quran, 5:35). We learn from this verse that we should use our good deeds in seeking Nearness to ALLAH or in our dua. This means we should strive to do more good deeds, and in our dua, we should use those good deeds as Tawassul seeking its acceptance from ALLAH.  The Ramadhan Sadaqah you give to the poor is the best good deed to mention during your dua seeking...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 20th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Saturday 30th March 2024). LET'S KEEP STRIVING AND BE STEADFAST TILL END OF RAMADHAN. Bismillah. And whosoever strives, he strives only for himself. Verily, ALLAH stands not in need of any of the creatures. Then ALLAH tells us that even though HE has no need from HIS creatures, HE is kind and generous to us. HE will still give to those who believe and do righteous deeds the best of rewards, which is that HE will expiate for them their bad deeds, and will reward them according to the best deeds that they did. HE will accept the fewest good deeds and in return for one good deed will give anything between ten rewards and seven hundred, but for every bad deed, He will give only one evil merit, or even that HE may overlook and forgive. ALLAHU AKBAR.  This is like the Ayah, إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْل...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 19th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Friday 29th March 2024). LET'S STRIVE HARD SEEKING LAYLATUL QADAR. BismilLah.  Many people make the mistake and only strive hard in their prayers, du’a, tawbah and charity on the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadhan. While it’s true that there is a bigger chance of Laylat al-Qadr being in the odd nights, it is fully possible for it to be in one of the even nights!  Ibn ‘Umar RA told us that the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said: “Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten days of Ramadhan.” [Muslim, 2/823]. Laylatul Qadr is so great that if you stand in prayer/Zikir and to be blessed with it, all of your sins will be forgiven! Our sisters in their monthly cycle should also wake up and strive to seek laylatul Qadar through zikir. Dont go to the masjid. Just dress decently and sit in your room to recite your zikir.   May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and grant us Laylatul Qadar by HIS ME...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 18th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Thursday 28th March 2024). MAY ALLAH GRANT US LAYLATUL QADAR. AAMEEN. BismilLah.  The last 10 days of Ramadhan is just one day ahead of us. I'm certain no one needs to be informed of the importance of these days ahead of us. Don’t focus on only certain nights searching for laylatul qadar. Focus on all the last nights till the end of Ramadhan so that you dont miss out.  Let's make dua our priority, especially those the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam thought us to focus seeking laylatul Qadar such as;  اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي Allaahumma Innaka Afuwwon Tuhibbul Affwa FAafu Annii  Oh ALLAH! You are most forgiving, YOU love to forgive, so please forgive me. Another important dua to focus on is
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 17th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Wednesday 27th March 2024). YES ALLAH WILL FORGIVE ALL MAJOR SINS EVEN IF SHIRK. BismilLah. The Almighty ALLAH loves to forgive, and in numerous places in the Quran, HE invite us towards HIS FORGIVENESS.  ALLAH, the Most High, says: “ Will they not turn to ALLAH in repentance and seek HIS forgiveness? And ALLAH is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Quran, 5:74). To understand the context of this verse, one should read two verses before it where ALLAH says: “Those who say, “ALLAH is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. The Messiah ˹himself˺ said, “O Children of Israel! Worship ALLAH, my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever associates others with ALLAH in worship will surely be forbidden Paradise by ALLAH. Their home will be the fire. And the wrongdoers will have no helpers. Those who say, “ALLAH is one in a Trinity,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. There is only ONE GOD. If they do n...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 16th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Tuesday 26th March 2024). ISLAMIC SOLUTION TO FORGETFULNESS. Bismillah. Islam is a complete way of life, and it has all the solutions to all the creation of ALLAH. It is human nature to be forgetful, as the Arab poet said: “He is only called man (insaan) because of his forgetfulness (nasiyaan), and it is only called the heart (al-qalb) because it changes so rapidly (yataqallib).” Some of the things that may help to combat forgetfulness are: Keeping away from sins, because the bad effects of sin result in a bad memory and the inability to retain knowledge. The darkness of sin can not co-exist with the light of knowledge. The knowledge of ALLAAH is light, and the light of ALLAAH is not given to the sinner.” We are talking about beneficial knowledge here please so don't ask me why some  of the kuffar are knowledgeable. If your knowledge does not aid you to earn the halaal way and live in peace worship...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 15th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Monday 25th March 2024). KULLU NAFSIN....?. BismilLah.  All of us will die sooner or later, but the serious question remains as to HOW? In a state where ALLAH is pleased with us or where HE is displeased? ALLAH says: “ Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: “My Lord! Send me back”. (Quran, 23:99). Why does he want to be sent back to this world? Is it to live longer? Is it to earn more money? Definitely NO. The answer is: “ So that I may act righteously in that (world) which I have left behind…” But is it possible to come back after death? “… Never! It is simply a word he utters, and behind them is a barrier till the day when they will be resurrected.” (Quran, 23:100) Alhamdulillah! You and I are still alive, and we have the opportunity to do good deeds and act righteously. Let’s not delay that lest we meet the same fate stated in those verses. One lives only once, and there is no way back to...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 14th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Sunday 24th March 2024). ANGER MANAGEMENT WHILST FASTING. BismilLah.  Once, a young man approached the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallah) and asked him for some advice. The Prophet replied, “Do not become angry,” and he repeated this three times. On another occasion, the Prophet asked his companions, “Do you know who the strong person is?” His companions replied, “The one who is able to wrestle others down.” The Prophet responded, “No, it is the one who is able to control their anger. There are so many wisdoms from the Prophet specifically advising against anger, all reflecting the Qur’anic description of the righteous as those who “hold in check their anger” (3:134).  This advice is much needed. Indeed, some of the worst actions committed by human beings, from killing to domestic abuse, especially in marriages, are, at least partly, a result of anger. Lots of marriages have collapsed/ collapsed be...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 13th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Saturday 23rd March 2024). PROMISE BY ALLAH TO BELIEVERS. BismilLah.  ALLAH, Blessed Be HIS Name, says;  “Whoever does good, whether male or female, and is a BELIEVER, ALLAH will surely bless them with a good life, and ALLAH will certainly reward them according to the best of their deeds.” (Quran, 16:97). Every human being wants to have a good life in this world, right? For most people, this good life is being financially well off and having a big house, etc. But the reality is that even if one has this, one can still feel miserable and depressed. So, what is the real good life?  The real good life is being near ALLAH and experiencing HIS Nearness and being guided by HIM to do what HE loves and is pleased with. And being given enough rizq with barakah and being given a heart that yearn for ALLAH’s reward and strives to gain it.  All of this and much more is part of the real good life that ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 12th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Friday 22nd March 2024). ALLAH'S ASSURANCES ARE CERTAIN. BismilLah.  ALLAH, Praised be HIS Name, says: “ So ALLAH answered his prayer and rescued him from anguish. And so do ALLAH save the believers.” (Quran, 21:88). The context of this verse is the story of Prophet Yunus (peace be upon him), who was swallowed by a sea creature, and he called on ALLAH for help. ALLAH answered his prayer rescued him, and ALLAH promised that HE would do the same for the believers. The dua of Prophet Yunus (peace be upon him) was very important for our beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) which was; لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّيْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ Laa ilaaha illaa ANTA subḥaanaka innii kuntu minaẓ-ẓwaalimiin. Meaning; ‘None has the right to be worshipped, but YOU (ALLAH), Glorified (and Exalted) be YOU! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers.’ No Muslim recites this Dua concerning any matter, b...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 11th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Thursday 21st March 2024). THE REAL THIEVES OF RAMADAN CONTINUES. BismilLah Let's conclude on this topic.  The next point to be careful about is Bad Akhlaq(practice of virtue, morality and manners): Fasting is not just restraining from food and drinks but eyes, ears, tongue and all parts of the body should also be fasting.. Stay away from lying, backbiting, cursing, suspicion etc if you want to receive the full rewards for the fasting.  And finally, the biggest thief: Social Media i.e Facebook, Watsapp, YouTube, etc. If you do not use them in the right way, all your good deeds could be taken from you. Don't let this holy month go so that when everyone is receiving their rewards, you are the one who maybe empty-handed. YouTube especially is a place we can easily listen to or watch our scholars tafseer, etc, but it's the same place that can damage our eemaan and aqeedah with bad contents.  May ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 10th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Wednesday 20th March 2024).  THE REAL THIEVES OF RAMADHAN CONTINUES. BismilLah Let's continue from yesterday's reminder.  Wasting night: A thief that steals the most valuable time from us. This thief is responsible for turning you away from salaatul layl, istighfar and tawbah and recitation of the Qur'an. Make time your priority without wasting a second in this blessed month.  To be continued in Shaa ALLAH.   May ALLAH keep guiding us all and increase us in beneficial knowledge. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 9th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Tuesday 19th March 2024). LET'S BE CAREFUL WITH THE THIEVES OF THE MONTH OF RAMADHAN. BismilLah.  By saying thieves, I mean things and actions that can take away most of the blessings of this month from us.  Television: This thief is dangerous and ruins days of people and diminishes their rewards, by watching useless movies and programs it squanders the time in a month where the days are the best of all days and nights are the best of all nights. Let's give TV the YELLOW card if we can be watching only Islamic lectures on it, but the RED card if we can't use it for only Islamic programs.  Too much sleep: Just because it is said in Hadith that even sleep in this month has thawab (some benefits) doesn't mean that you should excessively sleep.. The point is that if even sleep contains rewards, then imagine the rewards of Ibaadat or acts of worship. Let's utilise our time wisely in getting th...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 8th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Monday 18th March 2024). SADAQAH IN RAMADHAN. BismilLah.  Ramadhan is a blessed and the best time to spend our money on others. let's strive to support the needy, especially our relatives who are less privileged. It's the best act of charity to support our relatives all the time and more rewarding during Ramadhan. Please note that Wealth leads to destruction if not put in check.  The majority of the problems challenging the world are because of fitnah(trials) of money. If we go back to the times of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and his noble companions, we see that their approach towards wealth was in stark contrast to what is the approach of We Muslims (and others) nowadays. The reason is simple; they understood Islam and followed it precisely, whereas we do not follow Islam sincerely. It is a matter of grave concern. Even in Ramadhan, some are finding ways to avoid fa...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 7th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Sunday 17th March 2024). TIME FOR THE TARAAWEEH SALAAT. BismilLah.  Our schorlars based on the Qur'an and Sunnah have narrated that, the time for Taraaweeh prayer lasts from after ‘Isha’ until dawn comes, so it is valid to perform this prayer at any time during this period.  Imam Al-Nawawi (may ALLAH have mercy on him) said in al-Majmoo’:  The time of Taraaweeh prayer begins when ‘Isha’ prayer is over, and it lasts until dawn comes.  But if a man is going to pray in the mosque as an imam leading the people in prayer, the best is to pray Taraaweeh after ‘Isha’ prayer and not to delay it until the middle or the end of the night, so that this will not cause hardship for the worshippers and some of them may sleep and miss the prayer. This is what the Muslims usually do, they pray Taraaweeh after ‘Isha’ and do not delay it.  But for one who prays Taraaweeh at home, he has the choice: if he w...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 5th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Fridays 15th March 2024). RULINGS REGARDING WET DREAMS in RAMADHAAN.  BismilLah. AlhamdulilLah, for granting us the opportunity to be part of this year’s Ramadhan. On this blessed day of the week in Ramadhan, we pray that ALLAH accepts it from us all.  If you experience a wet dream during the day in Ramadhan, your fasting is still valid and is not affected by the wet dream because you didn't do that intentionally. However, it is obligatory for you to perform the ritual purification (ghusl) so as to perform the prayer. Let me add that during fasting days or times we should try to avoid sleeping during the day and maximize our ibaadaat for more rewards, even at work or home we can recite the Quran from our mobile devices and lots of zikir.  Recite other azkar like SubhaanAllah, Walhamdulillah, Walaailaaha illallah. Wallahu Akbar etc. But if for some reason we need to sleep small, let's try to rec...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 4th day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Thursdays 14th March 2024). NOTHING SHOULD DISTRACT US FROM ACTS OF WORSHIP ON THIS BLESSED MONTH AND WE MUST INCREASE OUR GOOD DEEDS. BismilLah.  ALLAH says in Qur’an 63:9: O you who believe! Let not your properties or your children divert you from the remembrance of ALLAH. ALLAH the Exalted orders HIS faithful servants to remember HIM frequently and to refrain from being distracted from HIS remembrance by indulging in their properties and children excessively. وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَيِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ And whosoever does that, then they are the losers.  ALLAH informs those who engage in this life, its delights, and attributes and were busied from the obedience and remembrance of ALLAH, for which they were created, will be among the losers. They will lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. ALLAH continued by saying in verse 10 that And spend of that with which ME ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 3rd day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Wednesday 13th March 2024). ALWAYS REMEMBER DEATH AND NOTE THAT YOU EARN NOTHING GOOD EXCEPT ALLAH HAD DECREED. BismilLah.  ALLAH says in Qur’an  4:78 Wheresoever you may be, death will overtake you, meaning, you shall certainly die, and none of you shall ever escape death. as ALLAH says again in Quran 55:26, كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish).  Also ALLAH says 21:24 كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَايِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ Everyone shall taste death,  and in 21:24 وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ And ALLAH granted not to any human being immortality before you.   Therefore, every soul shall taste death, and nothing can save any person from it. Everyone has an appointed time and a limited term of life. Consequently, ALLAH revealed, قُلْ كُلًّ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ Say: All things are from ALLAH, ALLAH'S statement that all things are from HIM means, everythin...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 2nd day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Tuesday 12th March 2024). WHAT’s THE DIFFERENCE between Maghfirah (مغفرة ) and 'Afuw (عفو )? BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah, for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed month.  Maghfirah: is for ALLAH to forgive you for the sin, but the sin will still be registered on your book of deeds. Maghfirah is ALLAH’s forgiveness for your sin, but on Judgment Day, it will be written on your record, ALLAH will ask you about it, but HE won’t punish you because of it. This is for ALLAH to remind us that HE records whatever we do, so we must be careful.  Afuw: is for ALLAH to forgive you for the sin and delete it from your book of deeds as if it did not happen. ‘Afuw is ALLAH’s pardon for your sin. It will be completely erased from your record, and ALLAH won’t ask you about it on Judgement Day.  This is why our Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said that this is the best Dua to make...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 1st day of Ramadhan, 1445AH (Monday 11th March 2024). RAMADHAN HAS BEGUN. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah, for granting us the opportunity to be part of this year's Ramadhan. May ALLAH accept it from us all and forgive our shortcomings. This is the month of Mercy from ALLAH, and if you want to earn the Mercy of ALLAH, then be Merciful to others, especially your relatives and more, especially your wife/husband We are in Ramadhan, so please forgive her or him and start the Ramadhan in good faith. Please don't be difficult in telling your wife even though we are in Ramadhan, you are not eating her food or still not talking to her for the mistakes she or he had committed. Let's forgive each other for the sake of ALLAH only if we wish for ALLAH to forgive us. Don't deny your parents or relatives money in Ramadhan because they've done you wrong. Remember that you and your wealth belong to your parents till death comes between you. ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 29th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Sunday, 10th March 2024). SOME CONDITIONS TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah.  In shaa ALLAH Ramadhan may start tomorrow subject to moon sightings this evening. Ramadhan is a blessed month, but our dua may be wasted if we do not change our ways of life.  Why our dua may not even reach ALLAH, which most of us may know but as ALLAH says, reminders only benefit believers as such we must remind each other regularly because it's a serious issue.  Let's note that Dua or seeking favour or mercy from the most HIGH, ALLAH is like a weapon, and a weapon is only as good as the person who is using it; it is not merely the matter of how sharp it is. If the weapon is perfect and free of faults, and the arm of the person using it is strong, and there is nothing stopping him, he has experience in using the weapon then he can lay waste the enemy or his target without fail. But if any of these fea...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 28th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Saturday, 9th March 2024). SOME ACTS THAT DOES NOT INVALIDATE THE FASTING. BismilLah.  As the month of blessings approaches,  Let's note some things that don't invalidate the fasting according to scholars based on knowledge of the Quran and sunnah: eyedrops, eardrops, tooth extraction, and treatment of injuries do not invalidate the fast. Medical tablets that are placed under the tongue to treat asthma attacks, etc, so long as you avoid swallowing any residue.   Anything that enters the urinary tract of a male or female, such as a catheter tube, or medical scopes, or opaque dyes inserted for the purpose of x-rays, or medicine, or a solution to wash the bladder etc does not invalidate the fast.  Fillings, extractions, or cleaning of the teeth, whether with a siwaak or toothbrush, Rinsing the mouth, gargling, sprays, etc, so long as you avoid swallowing anything that reaches the throat...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 27th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Friday, 8th March 2024). SUMMARY OF HOW TO PERFORM GHUSL (PURE ISLAMIC BATH) IN PREPARATION FOR JUMUAT AND FOR PURIFICATION. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week. Let's remind each other about the etiquettes of this day before going for Jumuat.  First, the Muslim should make their intentions for purification; just make up your mind that you are going to take your ghusl for jumuat that’s all. You can first take your normal bath to clean any dirt or first wash ur hands then private parts then make wudhu like the wudhu done for prayer, pour water from your head to wash your right side, then the left side. Make sure your entire body is washed properly. It is also reported in the sunnah that washing of the feet during wudhu should be delayed until the end of the ghusl before you wash your feet.  Also Remember to recite Suuratul Kahf, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 26th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Thursday, 7th March 2024). DOES taken a FLU-SHOT invalidate our fasting Bismillah.  As Ramadhan approaches, its important to start asking and learning more about this blessed month. Do not do anything without having knowledge of it. Back to our topic.  According to the most preferred position of scholars in Islam, receiving Flu-shot does not invalidate the fast since it does not fall under the category of consumption of food or drink, which we are ordered to refrain from while fasting. It is necessary to point out that the above rule should not be extended to receiving injections of nutrients or glucose; such injections will surely break the fast. If, therefore, a person must receive such injections in the day time during the month of Ramadhan because of health reasons, he or she is allowed to skip and make up for it after Ramadhan. But normal injection which does not contain any nourishment or n...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 26th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Wednesday, 6th March 2024). SOME RULES PERTAINING TO FASTING IN RAMADHAN. BismilLah.  In shaa ALLAH, fasting will be starting within few days time. May ALLAH grant us the opportunity to be part and aid us through. Aameen.  Fasting in the month of Ramadan is one of the 'pillars' of the Islamic faith. It's obligatory (wajib), and one denying it goes out of the fold of Islam because it is obvious like salaat. It was declared an obligatory duty (fard ) in the second year of the Hijrah upon each and every mukallaf (one capable of carrying out religious duties, i.e. a sane adult) and breaking it (iftar) is not permissible except for any of the following reasons: 1. Hayd and nifas: Fasting is not valid for women during menstruation and puerperal bleeding (after childbirth). 2. Illness: Fasting is not valid if it would cause illness or aggravate it, or intensify the pain, or delay recovery because illness...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 25th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Tuesday, 5th March 2024). CONSEQUENCE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DON’T PRAY: BismilLah.    Informing us about the inhabitants of Hell, Almighty ALLAH says: "(The people in Hell will be asked) "What has caused you to enter Hell? They will say: "We used not to pray."(Qur'an,Al-Muddaththir: 42-48).   Abu Qatada, Bin Rab’i (Ra) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: " ALLAH , the Exalted said: I made five times' prayers obligatory on your people, and I took a guarantee that if anyone observes them regularly at their times, I shall admit him to Paradise; if anyone does not offer them regularly, there is no such guarantee of MINE for him." (Abu Dawood 430). Therefore there is no choice in the fact that we must pray because it is an obligation upon us and what more beautiful act than that which enables us to meet with our Lord, converse with HIM, ask of HIS help and MERCY 5 times daily....
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 23rd day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Monday, 4th March 2024). EXPIATION FOR NOT FULFILLING A VOW OR AN OAT TO ALLAH. BismilLah.  What is meant by an oath or vow according to our scholars based on the Qur'an and Sunnah is by committing oneself before ALLAH, may HE be exalted, to do OR not to do something. A vow is a type of oath, and every vow is an oath. So when the one who makes a vow says: I owe it to ALLAH to do such and such, it is the same as his saying: I swear by ALLAH that I will do or not do such and such. What is implied by these two phrases is the committing oneself before ALLAH to do or not to do that action".  If a person says, “I promise ALLAH that I will perform Hajj this year,” then this is a vow, a promise and an oath (yameen) and if he does not fulfil it then he must offer the expiation for breaking an oath (kafaarat yameen).  Whoever repeats an oath before offering expiation, the correct view is that if this...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 22nd day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Sunday, 3rd March 2024). ARE YOU PREPARING FOR RAMADHAN?. BismilLah.  Almost all  Muslims, including even some non Muslims, are aware of the real nature of fasting in the month of Ramadhan, as such we start to prepare from Sha’baan, and some even started before that. Among the best ways of preparing for the month of Ramadhan is Sincere repentance; This is obligatory at all times, but because of the approach of a great and blessed month, it is even more important to hasten to repent from sins between you and your Lord, and between you and other people by giving them their rights, so that when the blessed month begins you may busy yourself with acts of worship with a clean heart and peace of mind. ALLAAH says:  “And all of you beg ALLAH to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful”[al-Noor 24:31]. Let's stop our haraam relationships, cheating, all bad habits, etc, before Ramadhan a...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 21st day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Saturday, 2nd March 2024). CHARACTERISTICS OF A TRUE BELIEVER. BismilLah.  ALLAH, Praised be HIS Name, says: “ The (true) believers are only those who, when ALLAH is mentioned, their hearts tremble, and when HIS verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord, they rely.” (Quran, 8:2). ALLAH describes true believers with 3 amazing characteristics. The first characteristic is that when ALLAH is mentioned, their hearts tremble out of awe, fear, and respect for HIM. This is because they really know who ALLAH is. Do you feel the same when you hear about ALLAH? The second characteristic is that their faith increases when the Quran is recited. Their eeman increase because they understand the meanings of the Quran. How do you feel when you hear the recitation of the Quran, or do you just love listening to music? The third characteristic is that they put their trust in their Lord. Si...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 20th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Friday, 1st March 2024). 4 CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE continues. BismilLah. .  Let's continue from our Reminder yesterday;  Falling in category 3 (Disobedient to ALLAH but happy in life) should be a red warning to one's foot slipping downwards.
