 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 12th day of Rajab, 1445AH (Wednesday, 24th January 2024). SEEKING GUIDANCE FROM ALLAH REGULARLY. BismilLahir.

ALLAH subhaanahu wa ta`aalaa (exalted is HE) has given HIMSELF Names and attributes (siffat) so that we can know HIM through HIS attributes. What is most amazing and beautiful about ALLAH’s Names is that through them, you can see how your Creator recognizes the needs of HIS creation.

We all need sustenance; and HE is ar-Razzaaq, The Provider. We all need love; and HE is al-Waduud, The Most Loving. We all need protection; and ALLAH is al-Hafidh, The Guardian. What we need the most is the very thing of which ALLAH (swt) has an unlimited supply.

And so sometimes we are put through things to know ALLAH (swt). Sometimes, it is to open our eyes to our own flaws so that we can change. But whatever it is, if we realise that the answer to any problem is through HIM, and that HE suffices all our needs, then our relief is already at hand.

Some of us find ourselves to be very lost sometimes. This is alarming because we used to be a person who had direction. We thought we knew where we were going and what we were doing. But things start to fall apart internally. We aren't sure anymore. And then we realized we have three choices, to continue to do what we are doing without putting in any extra thought, to give up entirely, or to re-assess and re-orient.

And because this feeling persist for a while, we realized something else. We come to know ALLAH’s attribute of Guidance. Sometimes, this feeling of being lost can bring us closer to ALLAH (swt).

ALLAH says;

“O My servants, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance from ME and I shall guide you,”(Saheeh Muslim).

As ALLAH (swt) gave HIMSELF the attributes of Guidance and Light, how can we ever believe that we will be in darkness for too long?

Say, for example, you are drowning in a pool. Who will you usually call out for? The lifeguard. The lifeguard is already there, watching out for people, and because that is his job, when you call out to him he’ll jump in there to save you. Now ALLAH (swt) is over and above any analogy, but as ALLAH (swt) gave HIMSELF the attribute of guidance, telling you that HE is THE Guide and HE is THE Light of the heavens and the earth, then how can you be lost for too long? Especially if you seek HIM. Are we saying that lifeguards do their job better than ALLAH (swt)? Astaghfirullah, definitely not. it's time we adhere to the teachings of ALLAH so that in any situation, HE can guide us through until success becomes our final abode both on earth and the hereafter. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...
  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
