THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 3rd day of Muharram, 1445AH (Friday, 21st July, 2023). BENEFITS OF MUHARRAM    BismilLah.

Although many of us understand the importance of the month of Ramadhan, we can often neglect the sacred months. However, they offer us a wealth of opportunities to seek the mercy and favour of ALLAH, the likes of which cannot be found at any other time of the year. They have been specifically selected by ALLAH HIMSELF as the best times to draw closer to HIM.

Some easy ways to take advantage of the benefits of Muharram include:

Saying salaam more! This is the greeting of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and the people of Paradise, and such a simple action can reap countless rewards and forgiveness. Smile at everyone. This simple action will weigh heavy on the scales during Muharram.

Give regular Sadaqah. Muharram is the beginning of the Islamic New Year, so it’s the perfect time to make resolutions and establish good habits that you can reap the rewards of all-year round.

Improve your health by eating better, exercising more and having a good sleeping routine. Yes, taking care of your health is a rewardable action too as our body is an amaanah (trust) from ALLAH! Making a few lifestyle changes can earn us countless rewards. Seek forgiveness. Since sins are heavier in Muharram, we should ask for forgiveness as often as possible during this month, or even erase our sins by giving sadaqah,

Read more Qur’an. It’s an obvious one that always gets put on these lists  but it’s the perfect way to draw closer to ALLAH during this incredible month! The best way to do it is to commit to just 10-15 minutes per day; set ourself a time and stay disciplined! Hopefully, we will stick to this New Year’s resolution if we establish the good habit during Ramadhan.

These actions aren’t specific to Muharram, but they are highly recommended, and it makes sense to increase them during this blessed month!

May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
