 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 15th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1444AH (Monday, 3rd July, 2023).

THE FORGOTTEN SUNNAH. BismilLah. 


ALLAH says in Quran 62:10

فَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ فَٱنتَشِرُواْ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱبۡتَغُواْ مِن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ 

And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of ALLAH, and remember ALLAH often that you may succeed.


After ALLAH forbade us from working or doing any business after hearing the Adhan and ordered us to gather for the Friday prayer, HE then encouraged us to spread throughout the earth and seek bounty after the prayer is finished. How do we do this to earn lots of HIS favors on Friday?


ALLAH then mentioned what to do by saying;

وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

and remember ALLAH much, that you may be successful.

means, while you are buying and selling, giving and taking or you go back to your jobs after the Friday salaat remember ALLAH much and do not let this life busy you from what benefits you in the Hereafter. Meaning do lots of zikir wherever you are. 


There is a Hadith that states,

مَنْ دَخَلَ سُوقًا مِنَ الاَْسْوَاقِ فَقَالَ 

لَاا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَاا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ 

كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ وَمَحَا عَنْهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ سَيِّيَةٍ

Whoever enters a marketplace or any work place and says,

"Laa ilaaha illallah, wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku, walahul hamd, wahuwa alaa kulli shay'in Qadeer 

Meaning;

There is NONE worthy of our worship except ALLAH. HE is alone without partners, HIS is the sovereignty and HIS is the praise, and HE is Able to do all things." Then ALLAH will record a thousand-thousand (a million) good deeds for him and will erase a thousand-thousand evil deeds. This is the forgotten sunnah that we must implement from today be-iznilLah. 


May ALLAH keep guiding us all and increase us in beneficial knowledge. Aameen.
