THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis. 12th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Thursday, 1st June, 2023). KNOWING ALLAH THROUGH HIS NAMES AND ATTRIBUTES. BismilLah.  The first and most significant pillar of imaan (faith) in Islam is belief in ALLAH. As Muslims, we believe in ALLAH in accordance with HIS beautiful names and attributes. ALLAH has revealed HIS names repeatedly in the Holy Quran primarily for us to understand who HE is. Learning and memorizing the names of ALLAH will help us to identify the correct way to believe in HIM. There is nothing more sacred and blessed than understanding the names of ALLAH and living by them. How do we expect to worship, love, fear, and trust our Lord, The Almighty ALLAH, if we don’t know who HE is? ALLAH says in the Quran: And to ALLAH belong the best names, so invoke HIM by them.. (Quran 7:180). ALLAH, there is no deity except HIM. To HIM belongs the best names. (Quran 20:8). HE is ALLAH, the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to HI...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arba'a. 11th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Wednesday, 31st May, 2023). LOVING THE POOR AND THE NEEDY AS WE LOVE OTHERS. Bismillah.  The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The most complete in faith are those best in their characters, those who are easy to socialize with, and those who get along with others and others get along with them. There is no good in the one who can not get along with others, and others can not get along with him.” [Imam Tirmidhi]. We will all visit the same grave without discrimination on how the grave should be.  A believer worships ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) by being well mannered and dealing pleasantly with all, not to attain status or wealth, or for people’s praise, or to get married, etc., but only so that ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) may love him and make him beloved to HIS creation. Whoever considers exercising good manners as worship will deal courteously with everyone, be he rich or poor, an executi...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha. 10th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Tuesday, 30th May, 2023). Criteria for Determining What is Right or Wrong in Islam CONTINUES. BismilLah. Let's conclude on this topic. Aside from the Qur'an, Sunnah and concensus of scholars criteria for determining what's good or bad, we also have "The Personal Criterion" The individual, in numerous instances, is able to distinguish between right and wrong to determine what is satisfactory and what is censurable. His heart tells him whether what he is doing is right or wrong.  This is what the prophet (peace be upon him) meant when he said: “Appeal to your heart, and to your soul, for a verdict. Righteousness is what your soul will be at peace with, and sin is what disquiets you and makes you feel hesitant – even if the people repeatedly tell you otherwise.” [Musnad Ahmad and Sunan al-Dârimî] A person sees what he should not be looking at, and his own heart gives him a decisio...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 9th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Monday, 29th May, 2023). Criteria for Determining What is Right or Wrong in Islam CONTINUES. BismilLah. Please read through the  Reminder yesterday before this one, and if you didn't receive the Reminder yesterday, please request for a copy The Second Criteria is The Sunnah. Whatever is established to be authentically related from Prophet Muhamad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), is clear in meaning, and is not countered by any other evidence, is something that a Muslim has no option but to accept. Those who choose to be following only the Quran are making a grave mistake, and that alone may render your shahaadah or declaration of faith invalid.  *_Consensus of the Muslim Scholars_* is the third criteria: What we are concerned with here is consensus that is well established where we are absolutely certain of unanimity of opinion. Nevertheless, we can see from looking at numerous examples that the ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad. 8th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Sunday, 28th May, 2023). Criteria for Determining What is Right Or Wrong in Islam. Bismillah.  Do methodologically sound criteria exist for determining what is correct and what is in error in Islam? They certainly do. Those criteria are clear and precise, and we shall be discussing some of them today, be-iznilLah.  One:  The Religious Criterion. This criterion is established upon three sources:  1. The Qur’ân. ALLAH says in the Quran: “Lo! those who disbelieve in the Reminder when it cometh unto them (are guilty), for lo! it is an unassailable Scripture. Falsehood  comes at it from before it or from behind it. (It is) a revelation from the Wise, the Owner of Praise.” [Sûrah Fussilat: 41-42]. Allahu Akbar.  The Quran is absolutely certain in its authenticity. This is a point upon which all Muslims unanimously agree. As far as what we derive from it of its meanings, this depends ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 7th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Saturday, 27th May, 2023). THE MEANING OF QURAN, HADITH QUDSI, AND HADITH AN-NABAWI continues. Bismillah. Yesterday, we reminded each other about what the Qur’an is. Let's continue on the Dhikr (The Reminder): ALLAH (Al-Fattah, The Granter of Succes) says: "Verily, I revealed the Dhikr, and verily I will preserve it." [Noble Quran 15:9]. Alhamdulillah.  The Prophet's divinely inspired statements, which were recorded by his followers, are generally referred to as Hadiths. For example, the Prophet's companion, 'Umar ibn al-Khattab may ALLAH be pleased with him, reported that the Prophet once said, 'Verily, deeds are (judged) by their intentions. However, in some of his statements, the Prophet (peace be upon him) attributed what he said revealed from ALLAH but not part of the quran; for example, another companion, Abu Hurayrah, reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 6th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Friday, 26th May, 2023). THE MEANING OF QURAN, HADITH QUDSI, AND HADITH AN-NABAWI. Bismillah. The word "Quran," a verbal noun, is equivalent in meaning to "qira'ah," as both come from the verb "qara'a" which means "to read or to recite." Quran literally means "a speech revealed from ALLAH (Al-Haaliq,The CREATOR) for reading or reciting." This is one of the miracles of the Quran. Angle Jibreel(Gabriel) alaihi salaam was commanded by ALLAH (Al-Maalik, The boss of the Universe and on judgement day) to reveal and teach the Quran to the Prophet and in return he the prophet peace be upon him is to recite it as it is to mankind and explain its meanings and rulings to us. This is the security of the Quran. It was memorized as it was revealed until today Allahu Akbar.  The term "Quran" is mentioned in a number of places throughout the Quran in ref...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis. 5th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Thursday, 25th May, 2023). WE HAVE THE FREE WILL TO CHOOSE PARADISE OR HELL FOR OURSELVES, LET'S MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE. BismilLah.  ALLAH says in Qur'an 79:34-41 فَإِذَا جَاءتِ الطَّامَّةُ الْكُبْرَى But when there comes the Great Catastrophe. This refers to the Day of Judgement. It has been called this because it will overcome every matter. It will be frightful and horrifying. As ALLAH says, وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَى وَأَمَرُّ And the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. (54:46). يَوۡمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ  The Day when man shall remember what he strove for. Meaning, at that time, the Son of Adam will reflect upon all of his deeds, both the good and the evil. As ALLAH says in another verse, يَوْمَيِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الاِنسَـنُ وَأَنَّى لَهُ الذِّكْرَى On the Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance avail him. (89:23). وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ  And Hell...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha. 3rd day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Tuesday, 23rd May, 2023). TEST YOUR EEMAAN. BismilLah.  Islam is a complete way of life, and as a Muslim, it's important to follow the teachings of ALLAH through the blessed Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam. If you claim to be Muslim, then always be ready to submit and act purely to please ALLAH. Today let's try to test our eemaan with this famous hadith.  On the authority of Abu Hamzah Anas bin Malik (may ALLAH be pleased with him), the servant of the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself. [Al-Bukhari 13] [Muslim 45]. This is a clear hadith that does not require any tafseer. May ALLAH aid us to act only for HIS sake so as to be able to increase our eemaan. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha. 3rd day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Tuesday, 23rd May, 2023). FEAR OF PEOPLE INSTEAD OF ALLAH(Al-Ghaffar, The Ever Forgiving). BismilLah. Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri (ALLAH be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Let not fear of the people prevent one of you from saying the truth if he knows it.”(Authenticated by Imam Ahmad 11459). Islam orders the Muslim to be honest to himself and others. This order repeatedly comes in the Noble Qur'an and the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam). Islam orders the Muslim to tell the truth even if it is against the teller's interest. Orders him not to cheat or deceive other people. A Muslim is ordered by ALLAH (As-Salaam, The Ultimate Source of Peace) to be honest in his words and deeds, privately and publicly alike.  Honesty in words implies telling the truth in all cases and under all conditions. Honesty also implies fulfilling the pro...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 2nd day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Monday, 22nd May, 2023). DIFFICULTIES IN LIFE IS GOOD FOR BELIEVERS. LET'S FIND OUT WHY. BismilLah.  In the Qur’an, ALLAH says that good, evil, and whatever happens in this world happens by HIS WILL. Only ALLAH knows fully HIS WILL. We, finite beings, can not grasp fully HIS infinite WILL and WISDOM. HE runs HIS universe the way HE deems fit. The Qur’an tells us that ALLAH is WISE, and everything that ALLAH does is RIGHT, JUST, GOOD, and FAIR. We must submit and surrender to HIS WILL. The Qur’an has not given us all the details about ALLAH'S ’s WILL, but it has enlightened us with the guidance that is useful and sufficient for us. There are several points that we should keep in our mind to understand this issue: First of all, ALLAH did not make this world a permanent place of residence. This is a temporary world, and everything here has a time limit. When its times comes it will die, come to an ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YaumulAhad. 1st day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Sunday, 21st May, 2023). ANY ABUSE OR DIFFICULTIES YOU GO THROUGH MAYBE A TRIAL FROM ALLAH. BismilLah. And [recall, O Children of Israel], when Moses said to his people, "Remember the favor of ALLAH upon you when HE saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who were afflicting you with the worst torment and were slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a GREAT TRIAL from your Lord. ALLAH says in another Ayah, وَبَلَوْنَـهُمْ بِالْحَسَنَـتِ وَالسَّيِّيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ WE tried them with good and evil in order that they might turn (to ALLAH). (7:168). ALLAHU AKBAR. Also check Qur'an 2:49 for s...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 30th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Saturday, 20th May, 2023). ISLAM between BLASPHEMY and EXTREMISM. BismilLah.  Let's conclude on this topic.  If you couldn't receive any of the two on this topic, please request a copy before reading this one.  Based on the narrations in the previous reminders on this topic, does this mean that blasphemy should be tolerated in every case? Free speech is not merely a human right, but rather, it is a responsibility. The purpose of free speech is to facilitate discussion in search of truth and justice. Consequently, the general rule is that people are free to speak their minds respectfully, but speech that serves no purpose other than to slander, defame, offend, or incite to violence is not worthy of protection. Indeed, the Muslims have been prohibited from cursing other religions and even idols. However, the best way to counter false speech is by speaking the truth. The problem of blasphemy can ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Friday, 19th May, 2023). ISLAM between BLASPHEMY and EXTREMISM Continues. BismilLaah.  Let's continue with the reminder yesterday. If you couldn't receive it, please request a copy before reading this one.  Generally, the Prophet was commanded to endure any insult or mockery from his enemies, which resulted from their bad character. ALLAH says: خُذِ الْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْجَاهِلِينَ Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant. Quran 7:199. Abdullah ibn Zubair explained this verse, saying: أُمِرَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَأْخُذَ الْعَفْوَ مِنْ أَخْلاَقِ النَّاسِ The Prophet was commanded to forgive the people’s bad character. Sunan Abu Dawud 4787. There are many recorded incidents in the life of the Prophet in which he was mocked, defamed, and even physically attacked for his faith in Islam, but despite this abuse the Prophet res...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Thursday, 18th May, 2023). ISLAM between BLASPHEMY and EXTREMISM. This is a sensitive topic so please be patient with the length and read through for ALLAH sake before jumping into typing aameen. BismilLah.  The general answer to blasphemy as commanded in the Quran is to respond with patience, beautiful preaching, and graceful avoidance. The Quran records the fact that the Prophet was called a “sorcerer,” a “madman,” and a “liar,” yet ALLAH commanded him to be patient and to increase his acts of worship. ALLAH says: وَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا Be patient over what they say and avoid them with gracious avoidance. Qur'an 73:10. So be patient over what they say and exalt with the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting....
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arba'a. 27th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Wednesday, 17th May, 2023). HAVE YOU LOST HOPE IN ALLAH? BismilLah.  There is this one sin that we keep falling in again and again…and again. We keep on repenting and seeking forgiveness, but we fall into it again and again. You give up. You submit to doing more sins. You think you’re hopeless. You fill your heart and mind with dark/desperate/hopeless thoughts. You think you’re worthless. You drown in negativity and desperation. In the end, those with no or weak eemaan commit suicide. AstaghfirulLah.  If you fall in these categories of Muslims, then Stop This Now! It's an insult to ALLAH AstaghfirulLah.  Never buy into these satanic influences! Never. The battle is not over. You didn’t lose. You have the power to come back stronger and more triumphant than you ever were. ALLAH’s Mercy and Forgiveness are there for you! Yes, for you! The only loser is the one who whispers to your thoughts of hop...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ath-thalaatha. 26th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Tuesday, 16th May, 2023). BE A MUSLIM BY ACTION NOT BY NAME. BismilLah. What the Qur’an, Sunnah, and the righteous early generations agreed upon on this topic is that faith consists of both words and deeds, and may increase and decrease; there is no faith unless it is accompanied by actions. Saying I am a Muslim is not enough my brothers and sisters. We must act to earn that title of A MUSLIM. We must SHOW to non Muslims what Islam is all about not by telling them or by our dress code. It's a sad reality that We Muslims are Minority to non Muslims but unfortunately majority of thieves in any community are Muslims, majority of bad boys or girls today are Muslims, the title A MUSLIM is now associated with bad name why? Because we are failing to live our lives by the Qur'an and Sunnah that's all.  We Muslims of today are by name not by actions. We are busy with politics, fighting each other,  ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 25th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Monday, 15th May, 2023). THE GREATNESS OF SAYING LAA HAWLA WALAA KUWATA ILLAA BILLAH. BismilLah.  This phrase is one of our greatest weapons as Muslims. Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam actually said that this phrase is what is written underneath the thrown of the Almighty ALLAH ALLAHU AKBAR. if you say this phrase sincerely with full trust in your heart about its powerful nature, trust me you can even step on a wounded wild snake by mistake, it cannot bite you by the will of ALLAH. The phrase basically means; There is no power or strength except with ALLAAH. Saying this phrase means you accept you cannot do anything without the support of ALLAH that's why even before salaat when the muazzin says hayya alas Salaat/ Fallah, we respond by saying the above phrase to mean that even with the salaat we cannot offer it without the support of ALLAH.  It was narrated that Anas i...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul ahad. 24th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Sunday, 14th May, 2023). LET'S BE PRACTISING MUSLIMS NOT JUST BY NAME.       Bismillah. As Muslims, we should know that the Messenger of ALLAH  sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam was sent by ALLAH to the whole of mankind, to explain and to make clear to us all that which is good and brings one closer to ALLAH; and also to explain to us all that is evil and would distance a person from ALLAH. The reason for this is that life  with all its variety, colours, and manifestations is built upon two important matters:  Firstly: Knowing the good, in order to follow it. Secondly, knowing the evil, in order to keep away from it. So, for example, in the matter of Tawhid of ALLAH (to single out ALLAH alone for worship), the crux of Islam, it is built on eemaan (faith) in ALLAH and the rejection of shirk, kufr and taghut (All that is worshipped other than, or along with, ALLAH). Eemaan  in...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 23rd day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Saturday, 13th May, 2023). SOME WAYS TO BECOME A GOOD OR BETTER MUSLIM.    Bismillaah As Muslims we must strive to become better Muslims all the time with some recommended acts by our Prophet Mohammed sallallahu alaihi wasallam such as Fasting voluntarily for the sake of ALLAH on Mondays and Thursdays,  3 middle days of each Islamic calendar.  Another way is to Make Muslim friends and avoid severing ties. Our beloved messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, “On the Day of Resurrection ALLAH Almighty will proclaim: “Where are those who have mutual love for My Glory’s sake? Today, I shall shelter them in My shade where there is no shade but Mine. (In Saheeh Muslim). Saying “Assalaamu Alaykum”  (Peace be upon you)  to Muslims you set eyes on is a real blessing in Islam. It immediately let people know you are a Muslim and they usually will be happy to return the greeting ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 22nd day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Friday, 12th May, 2023). PURIFICATION OF THE SOUL. BismilLah.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also ALLAH says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes  to ALLAH with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrogance, worldliness, fornication, and stealing. In their place, we must adorn the heart with spiritual virtues such as learning the Quran and applying in our ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis. 21st day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Thursday, 11st May, 2023). TREAT THE BAD RELATIVES AND FRIENDS WITH GOODNESS. BismilLah  In Quran 41:34  ALLAH says (Tafsir ibn kathir); وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّيَةُ The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. means, there is a huge difference between them. ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ Repel (the evil) with one which is better, means, `when someone does you wrong, repel him by treating him well,' as Umar, may ALLAH be pleased with him, said, "There is no better punishment for one who has disobeyed ALLAH with regard to you, than your obeying ALLAH with regard to him." فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ then verily he, between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend. means, `if you treat well those who treat you badly, this good deed will lead to reconciliation, love and empathy, and it will be a...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arba'a. 20th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Wednesday, 10th May, 2023). DEBT MANAGEMENT IN ISLAM. BismilLah.  We recite in the Qur'an that; "Whosoever fears ALLAAH and keeps his duty to HIM, HE will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And HE will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in ALLAH, then HE will suffice him. Verily, ALLAH will accomplish his purpose. Indeed, ALLAH has set a measure for all things”[Quran 65:2-3].  The Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) taught one of his companions that "And if you have debt like the mountain of Seer, ALLAH will support you yo pay it off. He said: ‘Say:  اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكْ Allaahumma akfini bi halaalika ‘an haraamika wa aghnini bi fadlika ‘amman siwaaka (O ALLAH, suffice me with what You have permitted so that that I have no need of that wh...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha. 19th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Tuesday, 9th May, 2023). DUNYA(THIS EARTH) AS A PATHWAY TO PARADISE OR HELL. BismilLah.  The Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “What have I to do with this world?, I am like a rider who rests under the shade of a tree, and then continues his journey and leaves it.” [Tirmidhi; Kitab az-Zuhud]. This is what the Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said in response when Umar (radi Allahu anhu) expressed his dismay on seeing the marks left on the Prophet’s skin from not having a decent mattress to sleep on! It is not that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) did not let his need be known; rather, he didn’t consider it to be a need at all! What need does a rider have of a mattress if he is only resting for a short while under the shade of a tree? Today, we make our mattreresses stop us from tahajjud. Some even misses fajir salaat.  Life is nothing other than a...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 18th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Monday, 8th May, 2023). SPIRITUAL MARRIAGE CONSULTATIONS BEFORE MARRIAGE IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM. BismilLah.  It's a sad reality that upon all the campaigns from our scholars against visiting these evil soothsayers, fortune tellers, so called maalams/pastors etc, you still see some parents and couples going to these evil agents to find out if their marriage will be successful or if they are compatible astaqfirulLah. Where is our eemaan in the Creator who thought us how to marry through the best of mankind Prophet Mohammed sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam? The ruling on fortune-telling, i.e., soothsaying, and claiming to know the unseen, is that these are actions which condemn a person to Hell and put him/her beyond the pale of Islam. Fortune-tellers cooperate with the evil jinn; they are liars who cooperate with the shayaateen (devils), who do not help them except after they have changed their reli...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad. 17th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Sunday, 7th May, 2023). YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE ASSURANCE WITH ALLAH. BismilLah. ALLAH has requested us to invest with HIM by offering beautiful loans in the form of helping other creatures, especially our relatives, in rewards to a lofty place in Paradise. Let's consider this hadith below.  It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may ALLAH be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAAH be upon him) went out on Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha to the prayer place, and when he had finished (the prayer) he preached to the people and enjoined them to give charity. He said, “O people, give in charity!” Then he went over to the women and said, “O women, give in charity, for I have seen that you are the majority of the people of Hell.” When he went home, Zaynab, the wife of Ibn Mas’ood came seeking permission to see him. It was said, “O Messenger of ALLAAH, here is Zaynab.” He said, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 16th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Saturday, 6th May, 2023). THE REALITY OF DEATH CONTINUES FROM THE YESTERDAY REMINDER. BismilLah.  Death is Pre-Established: Death will occur at a fixed time. The time is, of course, unknown to us. The place, the way in which each of us will die, is known only to ALLAH. The death of each of us has been pre-recorded in a book by ALLAH. It can not be brought about or avoided, so why are we wasting our time palling wealth through the haraam means? ALLAH says in the QUR'AN; "Wherever you are, death will find you out, even if you are in the towers built up strong and high..." (Qur'an An-Nisa 4:11). Again; "It is HE who gives Life and causes Death: and when HE decides upon an affair, HE says to it, ‘Be’ - and it is."(Qur'an Ghafir 40:68).  ALLAH (The Most High) tells us: "Nor can a soul die except by ALLAH'S leave, the term being fixed by writing..."(Qur'an Al-Imran...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 15th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Friday, 5th May, 2023). THE REALITY OF DEATH. Bismillah. ALLAH says in the Qur’an: "Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is saved away from the fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing)." (Qur'an Al-Imran 3:185). Is this verse not enough for us to fear this life? We should exert all efforts in attaining Paradise and pay great attention to avoiding prohibitions and deeds, which may inevitably lead us to Hell. ALLAH says "Say: Verily, the death from which you flee will surely meet you, then you will be sent back to (ALLAH), the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, and HE will tell you what you used to do."(Qur'an 21:34). I'm certain each of us knows about all these but it's just a reminder as reminders onl...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis. 14th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Thursday, 4th May, 2023).  LET'S MAKE A V-TURN TOWARDS PARADISE.  Bismillaah.  We always say U-Turn, but I say V-Turn for a purpose because for me, U is smooth, but V is sharp, and Emmergency turn, and that's our situation today. We seem to be relaxing and chasing dunyaa (this world) blindly, committing open sins, forgetting the reality of Death.  Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Truly, whoever takes the Hereafter as his or her (primary) concern, ALLAH places his richness before his eyes (his heart feels content), gathers his inner self (so he is at peace with himself), and this worldly life comes to him with compliance. And whoever has this worldly life as his (main) concern, ALLAH makes his poverty appear imminent to him, disunites his inner self (so he feels disgruntled and unhappy) and he does not gain anything from this worldly life except what ha...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arba'a. 13th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Wednesday, 3rd May, 2023). THE REALITY OF DEATH. Let's read through, ponder on it, fear ALLAH, and change our way of life.  ALLAH says in HIS Message to Mankind in Quran that; "O you who believe! Let not your properties, nor your children divert you from the remembrance of ALLAH. Whosoever does that, then they are the losers. So spend (in charity) of that with which WE have provided you, before death comes to one of you and he says: ‘My Lord! If only you would give me respite for a little while (i.e. return to the worldly life), then I should give Sadaqah (I.e. Zakat - Obligatory charity) of my wealth, and be among the righteous.’ But ALLAH grants respite to none when his appointed time (death) comes. And ALLAH is All-Aware of what you do." (Qur'an Al-Munafiqun 63:9-11). Death is a painful and fearful reality faced by everyone who lives. No one has the power to avoid it, nor does anyone ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha. 12th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Tuesday, 2nd May, 2023). HATRED IS SATAN'S ATTRIBUTE DON'T EMULATE SHEITAN. BismilLah.  As Muslims, it's important we purify our hearts and intentions for ALLAH sake. We should be sad to see someone disobey ALLAH, then instead of criticising the person, make dua for ALLAH to forgive and guide the person without washing his dirty cloth in public. Hatred towards another Muslim is a major crime. None is sinless, so criticise yourself always, not others. We can hate someone's wrongs and make dua for them but must not hate the person himself, bcs yours may be worse, but ALLAH is concealing from the public.  You may dislike someone and hate what he or she has done or is doing, if you can't talk to them or stop them peacefully then only hate the act in your heart without backbiting or slandering them. This is actually what the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said in an authentic hadith....
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 11th day of Shaw'waal, 1444AH (Monday, 1st April 2023). QUR'AN AS A GUIDE TO MANKIND. BismilLah.  ALLAH did not create us and left us to find our own ways of life. ALLAH created mankind with guidance to follow towards returning to HIM successfully. We must study the guidance as a matter of urgency. It's not an option, but it's compulsory for anyone of us to study the guidance which is the Qur'an and Sunnah from an authentic source of knowledge else we could be deviated from the guidance and end us into the trap of Shaitan into the hell fire.  Some of the many examples in the Quran can be obtained from Qur'an 3:100-104. Please find time to study these 4 verses carefully from any authentic tafseer book, such as the reliable 10 volume ibn kathir books published by DarusSalaam. Verse 100 guides us against following misguided  religious beliefs such as those who claim to be following Issah alaihi salaam. Verse 101 guides...
