THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawn As-sabt. 20th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Saturday 11th February. 2023).

THE CONCEPT OF ISLAH IN ISLAM, THE NEGLECTED FARD AND SUNNAH ACTION. BismilLah.

Islah (إصلاح) is an Arabic word and appears seven times in the Quran.

Linguistically speaking, this word means: reconciliation, reforming, bringing order, fixing something, making something better etc.

The one who makes islah is called a muslih (مصلح), and muslih appears in the Quran once in singular form and four times in plural form muslihoon (مصلحون).

Our current world, our ummah is in dire need of islah. Huge problems surround us, and these problems will only grow bigger if no one does something.

The Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wasallam) said once:

“ Verily, this religion began as something strange. And it will go back to being something strange. So give glad tidings for the strangers”.

Someone asked him: “And who are they, O Messenger of ALLAH?”

He said: “They are those who rectify and make corrections when the people have become corrupted.” (Reported by Tirmidhi and Tabarani)

In the original Arabic text, the verb (يُصْلِحُونَ) translated here in English as “rectify and make corrections” is aslaha (أصلح) which is connected to the concept of islah.

Here we can see that the Messenger of ALLAH told us that when Islam becomes strange again, there will be a blessed people who will try to correct and fix what people corrupt. This is precisely what islah is! Let's strive to reconcile between ourselves. Let's not be quiet when someone does something wrong within the family or community. Let's strive to follow strictly the Qur'an and Sunnah and stay away from any religious innovations and causing any harm or abuse to anyone. By doing your best for Islam individually, you become part of those who are practising Islah and you will become among the Muslihoon whom ALLAH had praised in the Quran. May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 30th day of Rajab 1446AH, Thursday. 30th Jan. 2025). MEANING OF ALLAH CREATING HUMANS IN HIS OWN IMAGE.  BismilLah. Unfortunately, other faiths have made a serious mistake in trying to compare The CREATOR, ALLAH Azzawajal with HIS Creation human beings in physical appearance, and that's blasphemy and serious error  Sheikh AbuAmina, in one of his articles, explained that, in Islam, we believe that all people have been created in the “image” of ALLAH Azzawajal. But what does this mean? ALLAH Azzawajal is the creator of everything, including all people. That people are in the “image of ALLAH Azzawajal” means they are in the form that HE, ALLAH Azzawajal has chosen and honored for them, not that they resemble ALLAH Azzawajal in physical appearance or share in the Divine Essence. Just as we say a righteous person is the “servant of ALLAH” and a mosque is the “house of ALLAH” as a way to honor them, likewise is it an added dignity for pe...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat and Yaumul Aashuura. 10th day of Muharram, 1445AH (Friday, 28th July, 2023). SPECIAL EID DAY FOR US ALL. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum WarahmatulLah to you all. AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day. Today mark the day when ALLAH granted Musah alayhi salaam victory over Fir'awn. Today mark the day ALLAH humiliated HIS worse enemy on earth Fir'awn for his disbelief in ALLAH and claiming he was ALLAH. We are all fasting on this blessed day seeking forgiveness from ALLAH for our sins from last year till date as the Prophet sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam recommended.  Those who are unable to fast can still do much to earn lots of rewards especially our sisters and daughters in their monthly cycle. You can recite lots of azkaar and give sadaqah with your intention to seek forgiveness from ALLAH. Please remember today is Friday lets strive to go to Masjid early and also remember to send salutations to our...
