THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 8th day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Tuesday 28th February. 2023). IS IT PERMISSIBLE TO FAST AFTER 15TH SHAÃBAN?. BismilLah.  Our scholars have explained this in detail but in summary, we can conclude from the below hadith. Al-Bukhaari (1914) and Muslim (1082) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAH be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “Do not anticipate Ramadhan by fasting one or two days before it begins, but if a man HABITUALLY FASTS, then let him fast.”  This indicates that fasting after halfway through Sha’baan is permissible for those who have the habit of fasting Mondays and Thursdays and also 13th to 15th of each Islamic month. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and increases us in beneficial knowledge. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 7th day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Monday 27th February. 2023). There are those who fast while they do not pray Salaat, Will their fast be accepted?. BismilLah.  Salaah is the most fundamental pillar of Islam; it is the hallmark of faith and the key to paradise. So, no one can exaggerate the importance of salaah in Islam. We read in the Qur'an: "On the Day of Judgment, those in hellfire will be asked, 'Why are you in hell?' they would answer because we were not among those who used to pray, nor were in the habit of feeding the poor. Rather, we were simply indulging with those who used to indulge and we used to deny the Day of Reckoning until death came upon us." (Qur'an 74: 43-47). Therefore, no Muslim can afford to neglect the salaah without risking his salvation. The Prophet (peace be upon him) stressed the crucial nature of salaah when he said, "The covenant between us(Muslims) and them(non-Muslims) is marked b...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 6th day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Sunday 26th February. 2023). LET'S REPENT TO ALLAH NOW AND KEEP SEEKING FOR FORGIVENESS BEFORE RAMADHAN. BismilLah.  To repent and seek forgiveness from ALLAH is obligatory at all times, but because of the approach of a great and blessed month of Ramadhan, it is even more important to hasten to repent from sins between you and your Lord, and between you and other people by giving them their rights, so that when the blessed month begins you may busy yourself with acts of worship with a clean heart and peace of mind. Allah says in the Qur'an; “And turn to ALLAH in repentance, all of you,, O believers, that you may be successful.” Qur’an 24:31. The Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, repent to ALLAH for I repent to HIM one hundred times (100) each day.” Narrated by Muslim (2702). May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 5th day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Saturday 25th February. 2023). RAMADHAN MOOD ACTIVATION. BismilLah.  In shaa ALLAH, from today, our daily Islamic reminders will be focusing on the blessed coming month of Ramadhan. As Muslims we must know that all the blessings for this noble month approaching would never be achieved unless we understand its rulings from ALLAH and the Messenger and implement its rulings as it was practised by the Messenger and the Righteous Salaf (Pious Predecessors).  It is imperative for the general body of Muslims to take special care in counting the days of the month of Sha'baan in preparation for the month of Ramadaan. This was the practice of the Messenger. This is of great importance because Islamic Month consists of twenty-nine or thirty days. The month starts with the sighting of the crescent which indicates its beginning. If however, it is so cloudy that the crescent cannot be seen, then the thirtieth day...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 4th day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Friday 24th February. 2023). WHO OR WHAT IS OUR PRIORITY IN LIFE? Bismillah.  As Ramadan approaches, it's important to renew our relationship with our Creator, ALLAH. Please note that No matter how overloaded a bus is, the driver's seat is always reserved right?. Who is the driver of your life? No matter how busy your schedules are...always remember to reserve a seat for the driver of your life and that's ALLAH, not your job, husband, wife, father, mother etc but ALLAH so make your priority in life to please HIM and fear no one else in your efforts to Please ALLAH and ALLAH will then help you to deal with other challenges.  Frankly and truthfully, ALMOST ALL OUR DIFFICULTIES in life are due to the fact that we've made someone or something else as our driver in life and human beings can only fail you if you make them your priority other than ALLAH. For most people, job, partner, parents, children ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 3rd day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Thursday 23rd February. 2023). RAMADHAN PREPARATIONS IN SHA'ABAAN. BismilLah.  The Arrival of the Sha’baan moon brings with it numerous blessings. Just as a farmer prepares for a fruitful harvest by harrowing his acreage so that the soil may readily retain water; in contrast, our souls are geared by the presence of such blessings in Sha’abaan effectively preparing us for a fruitful and completely advantageous Ramadan.  The month of Sha’abaan is one of the meritorious months in the Islamic calendar and it is reported in an authentic hadith that the Holy Prophet (sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to fast most days in this month. Although these fasts are not obligatory, those of us who fast Mondays, Thursday and the 3 white days each month should continue in preparation for Ramadan.  May ALLAH (Azza wa Jal, The Mighty and The Majestic) aid our efforts to be able to benefit more in these coming m...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 2nd day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Wednesday 22nd February. 2023). THE RIGHT WAY TO RESPOND TO THOSE WHO OFFEND US. BismilLah.  As Ramadhan approaches, let's prepare ourselves and strive to be a born-again Muslim.  If you are having trouble with your family, In-laws? Spouse? Relatives?..... The best way to maintain a healthy relationship is to always forgive and forget. No one is perfect. All perfections ONLY belong to ALLAAH. Whether people speak evil of us, in our presence or behind our back, or they do evil to us in either of those ways, all is known to ALLAH Almighty. It is not for us to punish. Our best course is not to do evil in our turn, but to do what will best repel the evil. Two evils do not make a good. ALLAH Almighty in the Noble Qur'an commands us in several places to return the evil that is done to us by others to not only with good but with best! ALLAH says in the Quran; "The good deed and the evil deed cannot be eq...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 1st day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Tuesday 21st February. 2023). CAN I PRAY TO ANYONE WHO DIES AS A NON MUSLIM?. BismilLah.  Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, let's be mindful of ALLAH. Let's fear ALLAH and not utter a word or phrase against ALLAH or HIS Messenger on any issues you have no knowledge of. It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire (because they died in a state of disbelief).  "When Abu Talib was dying, the Prophet went to him and found Abu Jahl and Abdullah bin Abi Umayyah present. The Prophet said, أَيْ عَمِّ قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلاِّ اللهُ كَلِمَةً ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 29th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Monday 20th February. 2023). LET'S BE MINDFUL OF ALLAH IN ALL WE DO. BismilLah.  Sheikh Abu Huraira may ALLAH be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The most beloved places to ALLAH are the masjids, and among the most hated places to ALLAH are the markets. Sahih Muslim 671.  What this hadith means is the fact that when we ignore salaat due to our businesses, then we lose any blessings to our businesses, we lie when seeking and buying in markets etc. This is what is happening today, we will hear the azan or are aware it's time for Salaat, but we will busy ourselves with our jobs or sales. Please note that 2 rakaats of salaat is better than any business or job you are doing, so let's be smart. Shut the shop or seek permission from your job and answer the call to salaat by rushing to the masjid or offering your salaat on time.  Be sincere in yo...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 28th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Sunday 19th February. 2023). USING OUR INCOME OR WEALTH WISELY. BismilLaah. Imaam Abu Huraira (may ALLAH be pleased with him) reported ALLAH'S Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: A servant says, My wealth. my wealth, but out of his wealth three things are only his: whatever he eats and makes use of or by means of which he dresses himself and it wears out or he gives as a charity, and this is what he stored for himself (as a reward for the Hereafter), and what is beyond this (it is of no use to you) because you are to depart and leave it for other people. (Sahih Muslim, Book 55, Hadith 6). Let's invest our little savings into the ways of ALLAH such as supporting orphans, support In building Mosques and Islamic Schools, Wells for Communities in need of drinking water, supporting our relatives and those in need etc. These things are our true savings which can benefit us when we die. We don't know when d...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 27th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Saturday 18th February. 2023). WHAT HAPPENS TO OUR PAST SINS AGAINST ALLAH AND OTHERS. BismilLah.  ALLAH, may HE be exalted, says: "Indeed, ALLAH loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves" Qur'an 2:222. When ALLAH, may HE be exalted, loves a person, then undoubtedly HE will forgive your past and HE will aid you to resolve your issues with others. You just need to be so called born again Muslim and do righteous deeds and strive to correct your errors with others.  The one who repents sincerely fears ALLAH, so ALLAH will make for him a way out from the consequences of his sins. ALLAH says; "And whoever fears ALLAH, HE will make for him a way out" Qur'an 65:2. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may ALLAH have mercy on him) said: This verse is general in meaning and includes everyone who fears ALLAH. If ALLAH guides anyone, then HE causes the person to know the...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 26th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Friday 17th February. 2023). THE EFFECTS OF SALAAT IN OUR LIFE. BismilLaah.  Today we have indeed come to treat the Prayer (Salah) as something insignificant in our lives. Very often we hear some says, "I will start praying when the time comes." Others, especially the younger Muslims, do not find much comfort, and joy in their Prayers. Due to our treatment of Prayer as a burden, due to lack of Islamic knowledge, weak eemaan etc, our love and passion for the Prayer have vanished. Our hearts have become hardened, and we have become depressed and defeated people. As a result, many are searching for 'cures and remedies to the distress in our lives, through any means available, but are unable to find any because they have ignored the greatest medicine *Salaah and zikir*!  The whole purpose of Salaah is to be ever conscious of ALLAH, the Creator and Sustainer of all things. Salaah is indeed, one of the most...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 24th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Wednesday 15th February. 2023). MARRIAGE COMPATIBILITY CHECKS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN AND A MAJOR SIN. BismilLah.  Is a sad reality that two Muslims today will abandon ALLAH and HIS Messenger to visit soothsayers or evil agents to find out if they are compatible for marriage or not astaghfirullah. So you trust these evil people more than ALLAH and His Messenger?  I'm asking this because name compatibility checks are done to determine whether the two people will have a good future together or not. But this is very contrary to what ALLAH tells us in Surah Luqman: “Verily the knowledge of the Hour is with HIM (alone). It is HE Who sends down rain, and HE Who knows what is in the wombs. Nor does anyone know what it is that he will earn tomorrow?: Nor does anyone know in what land he is to die?. Verily with ALLAH is full knowledge and HE is acquainted (with all things).” ALLAH basically says only HE knows wha...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 23rd day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Tuesday 14th February. 2023). HOW TO OFFER OUR SALAAT WHEN SICK.    BismilLah.  Scholars based on QUR'AN and Sunnah ruled that If a sick person is unable to pray standing, he should pray sitting using gestures of the upper part of your body; if he is unable to do that, then he should pray lying on his side. If he is not able to do that, then he should pray in whatever position he is able to. What is required is to do wudoo’ and cleanse himself of impurity; if he is unable to do wudoo’ and no one around to help him or her, he should do tayammum (“dry ablution”); if he is unable to do tayammum or to remove any impurity, he should pray as he is, because ALLAH, may HE be exalted, says (to the nearest meaning): “So fear ALLAH as much as YOU are ABLE” [at-Taghaabun 64:16]. Based on that, the prayer that you offer in such a situation is valid, and you do not have to repeat it when you get well, bec...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 22nd day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Monday 13th February. 2023). JIHAAD AGAINST OUR SINS/ HEART DESIRES  IS FARD ON US. BismilLah.  The most important battle a Muslim needs to fight is the battle within himself against sinful desires (JIHAAD an-nafs). This is a struggle, a jihad in the way of ALLAH, in which all of us need to participate. ALLAH tells us the sinful desires within ourselves must be controlled and submitted to HIS will, and whoever does so will enter Paradise. As for him who fears to stand before his Lord and he restrained himself from his desires, then Paradise will be his refuge. Qur’an 79:40. For this reason, the Prophet declared that the true mujahid who wages jihad in the cause of ALLAH is the one who wages jihad against himself. Fadalah ibn Ubaid reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul ahad. 21st day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Sunday 12th February. 2023). LET'S REVIVE A SUNNAH OF THE PROPHET sallallaahu Alaihi wasallam. BismilLaah.  Ibn Jaz was one of the companions of the Prophet who is reported to have said: “I have not seen anyone who smiled more often than the Messenger of ALLAH.”[Tirmidhi]. Smiling has been proven by scientists to increase the natural antidepressant hormone, serotonin, causing the one who wears a smile to be happier. We underestimate the power of a smile on both ourselves and those around us. This characteristic is highly contagious and plays a massive role in building relationships with those around us.  A positive mind and attitude are irreplaceable in the quest to be productive and achieve your goals in life. Smiling is Sunnah, a simple, inexpensive act that helps lift your mood and make you feel more grateful and content since our Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was seen frequently smiling and he ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawn As-sabt. 20th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Saturday 11th February. 2023). THE CONCEPT OF ISLAH IN ISLAM, THE NEGLECTED FARD AND SUNNAH ACTION. BismilLah.  Islah (إصلاح) is an Arabic word and appears seven times in the Quran.  Linguistically speaking, this word means: reconciliation, reforming, bringing order, fixing something, making something better etc.  The one who makes islah is called a muslih (مصلح), and muslih appears in the Quran once in singular form and four times in plural form muslihoon (مصلحون). Our current world, our ummah is in dire need of islah. Huge problems surround us, and these problems will only grow bigger if no one does something.  The Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wasallam) said once: “ Verily, this religion began as something strange. And it will go back to being something strange. So give glad tidings for the strangers”. Someone asked him: “And who are they, O Messenger of ALLAH?” He said: “They are those who re...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat.19th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Friday 10th February. 2023). SALAAT ALAN NABI. BismilLah.  In Qur'an 33:56, ALLAH says Indeed, ALLAH confers blessing upon the Prophet, and HIS angels [ask HIM to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ALLAH to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ALLAH to grant him] peace. Imam Al-Bukhari said that Abu Al-Aliyah said: "ALLAH’S Salah is HIS praising him before the angels, and the Salah of the angels is their supplication for ALLAH to keep praising the Prophet." In his Tafsir of this Ayah, Al-Bukhari recorded that Ka`b bin `Ujrah said, "It was said, `O Messenger of ALLAH, with regard to sending Salaam upon you, we know about this, but how about Salah?!' He said: قُولُوا  اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى الِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى الِ إِبْرَاهِيم...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis.18th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 9th February. 2023). REAL MEANING of SUCCESS. BismilLah.  Imam Muslim May ALLAH be pleased with him narrated that The Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said: “He is successful who has accepted Islam, who has been provided with sufficient for his wants and been made contented by ALLAH with what HE has given him. Nowadays when people say, ‘So so and so is very successful’ what they mean is, ‘He/she is making a lot of money or wealth.’ In the above-mentioned hadith ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) explains who qualifies to be called successful. It’s not having Car X, House in W and Job Z but rather anyone who accepts and practices Islam as His/her way of life. Someone who finds something to eat and is healthy and someone who Posses a thankful heart. Meaning we must try to appreciate the little we have as Muslims and look at those below us not those above us then praise ALLAH regularly for gran...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arba'a.17th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Wednesday 8th February. 2023). DO YOU REMEMBER THE STORY OF HAJAR (Alaiha Salaam), THE WIFE OF OUR GRANDAD IBRAHEEM ALAYHI SALAAM? BismilLah.  Let's continue from our topic in yesterday's reminder.  Giving up and losing hope in ALLAH (ArRaheem, The Most MERCIFUL)  essentially mean we don’t truly know or believe in ALLAH’s Names and Attributes. We don’t believe that HE is The Provider, The Protector, The All-Wise, The Source of Peace, The Giver of Peace, Relief and Victory. It means you think ALLAH(Al-Mu'min, The Guardian of Faith) is not sufficient for you and that's SHIRK. That’s an essential point to remember as soon as one is hit with a hardship. As soon as you visit any pastor, so called maalams or any source-sayer or fortune teller, you've committed SHIRK because these are satanic agents (evil jinns agents).  Remembering to trust ALLAH (Al-Muhaymin, The Preserver), have good expectations o...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha.16th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Tuesday 7th February. 2023). DO YOU REMEMBER THE STORY OF HAJAR, THE WIFE OF OUR GRANDAD IBRAHEEM ALAYHI SALAAM? BismilLah.  It's a truly authentic story so be patient with the length, please.  I want us to imagine something. Imagine a husband telling his wife to get dressed because they’re going out. She obeys and follows. They get in the car. He drives far away… until they reach the middle of literally nowhere; a completely deserted area with absolutely nothing around. The husband then asks his wife to step out of the car with their little  baby. She asks him why. He doesn’t respond. She gets out. He takes off! She runs after him with the baby asking why he is doing that. He tells her that he is fulfilling a religious duty; ALLAH (AL-hayyu, The Living) inspired him to do that! Let’s allow this to sink in for a moment…This is not a hypothetical scenario, a bedtime story or a legend. That's w...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 15th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Monday 6th February. 2023). THE RULINGS ON PLURAL MARRIAGE(POLYGAMY) AND THE WISDOM BEHIND IT. BismilLah.  Because Quran and Islam are the final messages to mankind from the Creator ALLAH, it contains rules till judgement day. One of the rules is the permissibility of plural marriage.  Let me make it clear to all brothers and sisters in particular that ALLAH does not permit anything if it is not good for us. We all know ALLAH has permitted polygamy with conditions so it's up to us to study the conditions and if we can adhere to its conditions then it's better for us to go for it. ALLAH says in the Qur'an; *_Marry women of your choice, two or three, or four; but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then marry only one,  that is nearer to prevent you from doing injustice”_*. [al-Nisa’ 4:3]. If you study this verse well, you will notice that the command is to marry tw...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul ahad. 14th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Sunday 5th February. 2023). PERSISTENT SINS AND PERSISTENT IN SEEKING FORGIVENESS. BismilLah.  Some Muslim sisters and brothers do ask regularly, Would ALLAH forgive me for such and such sins?. SubhaaAllah, this kind of question is even forbidden to ask to be frank because ALLAH actually LOVE those who return to HIM seeking forgiveness regardless of how often we sin and ask for forgiveness.  ALLAH says; "Say to Mankind: O Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of ALLAH, verily ALLAH forgives ALL sins. Truly, HE is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful" (Quran 39:53). Allahu Akbar. Even if Shirk, just repent and seek forgiveness my dear.  In the Quran, ALLAH repeatedly reminds us that HE is the Forgiving and the Merciful. Read Quranic verses from suurah Al-Furqan (Quran 25: 63-73) for a better understanding of these issues....
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 13th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Saturday 4th February. 2023). DUA BETWEEN ADHAAN AND IQAAMAH. BismilLah.  The Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “Dua is not rejected between the adhaan and iqaamah, so make dua (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 212; Abu Dawood, 437; Ahmad, 12174). You can learn to recite simple but powerful Dua like Rabbana aatinaa fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil aakhirati hasanatan waqinaa adhabannaar meaning Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire. This can be found in Qur'an chapter 2 verse 201. You can also recite this beautiful dua. Laailaaha illaa Anta Astaghfiruka wa atuubu ilaik. Yaa Hayyu yaa qayyuum biRahmatika astaqeeth meaning Oh ALLAH there is none worthy of worship except you ALLAH, you are the living and maintainer of life so with your Mercy I seek your help. Recite this regularly with an intention for whatever you nee...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 12th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Friday 3rd February. 2023). ENDURING GRIEF AND HARDSHIP IN LIFE AS MUSLIMS. BismilLaah. In Súra Al-Baqara, verses 155-157, Allah subhanallahu ta’ala reminds us: "Verily, ALLAH will test you with something of fear and hunger; some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil) but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. Who say when afflicted with calamity: "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhir raji-oon" "To ALLAH we belong and to HIM is our return." They are those on whom (descend) blessings from ALLAH and Mercy and they are the ones that receive guidance." From these verses we can see that in a Muslim’s life, hardship and suffering should never come as a complete surprise. In fact, ALLAH promises us some hardship as a certainty, somewhere during our lifetime. It is a test of our eeman, our faith in ALLAH, and we should not despair, because there are lessons to be learnt from ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis. 11th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 2nd February. 2023). THE BENEFICIAL INVESTMENT. BismilLah.  ALLAH says: “Say, ‘Surely my LORD gives abundant or limited provisions to whoever HE wills of HIS servants. And whatever you spend on charity, HE will compensate ˹you˺ for it. For HE is the Best of providers.’” [Quran 34:39] In this Ayah ALLAH mentions a few deep points for reflection. HE SWT reminds us that: The provision – all of it – is from ALLAH. ALLAH is The One who gave you everything you have. So, who is more entitled to it than HIM? Whoever gives Sadaqah – regardless of him being given a lot or very restricted – whatever he gives, ALLAH will compensate it! It’s a promise by ALLAH. ALLAH is the best provider, so in reality HE doesn’t really need your charity, but HE gave you an opportunity for you to gain more of HIS provision. ALLAH will provide for you if you spend in HIS path. May ALLAH aid us to be able to spend and keeps gui...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arba'a. 10th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Wednesday 1st February. 2023). SOME OF WHAT THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH SAID CONCERNING GIVING SADAQAH (charity). Bismillah. The Prophet said: “Give sadaqah without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” By Imam Tirmidhi hadith number 1887. Hudhaifa and Abu Shaiba reported ALLAH'S Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Every act of goodness is sadaqa. Sahih Muslim, book 5 hadith no. 2197.  Narrated by Suraqah ibn Malik: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Shall I not guide you to the most excellent sadaqah? It is to provide for your daughter when she is sent back to you and has no one but you to provide for her." Imam Tirmidhi hadith no. 5002. Narrated 'Adi bin Hatim heard the Prophet saying: "Save yourself from Hell-fire even by giving half a date-fruit in charity for ALLAH sake." Sahih Bukhari book 24 hadith no. 498.  All these hadith shows the importance of giving charity...
