THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 1st day of Jumaadal Awwal 1444AH (Friday 25th November. 2022).

Summary of Suurah Al-Kahf. Yes its long but Please don't miss reading through and share to others. BismilLah.

Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said, Whoever recited this Suurat the manner in which it was revealed, it will serve for him as a light on the day of judgement and whoever recited the last ten verses will be protected from dajjal and also whoever memorise the first 10 verses will be protected from dajjal.

This Suurah has 4 stories,

1. The People of the Cave which talks about the trial of Religion. 18:22.

2. The Owner of the two gardens, which talks about the trial of wealth and children. 18:34

3. Muusah & Khidir, which is about the trial of knowledge. 18:82 And

4. Dhul Qarnayn, which talks about the trial of authority. 18:98

The first two deals with good companionship and knowing the reality of life which is calling to ALLAH. The 3rd and 4th points deal with humility and sincerity in remembering the hereafter. All these are the boats of success.

The story of the believing young men who were living in a disbelieving country. They decided to leave their homes and run away with their religion after a confrontation between them and their people. ALLAH rewarded them with the mercy of the cave and care of the sun for so many years. They wake up to find their village were all believers.

The story of the man who ALLAH had blessed, but he forgot the one who had blessed him, transgressed and had doubts in his faith. He didn't give thanks for the blessings, even though his friend reminded him. Destruction of the crops and harvest and regrets after it was too late.

In approximately the middle of the Suurah comes the story of iblees, the one who pulls the strings of fitnah. That's around Aayah 50.

When Muusah (Alaihi Salaam) was asked by ALLAH, "who is the most knowledgeable person on the earth? He said me" I can understand his point being the prophet and messenger of Allah at that time but then ALLAH revealed to him that there was someone more knowledgeable than him, Muusah travelled to meet Him in order to learn from him how sometimes we do not understand ALLAH'S Wisdom but HE is invariably Wise. I think we all know what happened in his journey with the knowledgeable person (ie the ship, the boy and the wall).

The story of the great king that joined both knowledge and strength and travelled to all parts of the earth, helping people and spreading goodness. He overcame the problem of gog and Magog by building a dam and was able to put to work the strength of a people who could hardly understand a word.

So now the question is, what is the relationship of Suurat Al-Kahf to the dajjaal? From the above summary, we will noticed that dajjaal will put us into the trial of our religion, trial of wealth, trial of knowledge and trial of authority before the day of judgement.

> He will ask people to worship him instead of ALLAH.

> He will order the sky to rain and he will tempt people with his wealth.

> he will try people with knowledge due to what he reveals to people of news

> he will control major parts of the earth except for Macca and Madinah Insha ALLAH.

THE BOATS OF SUCCESS.

Good Companionship:

In this Suurat, ALLAH advised or commanded the prophet in chapter 28 as follows;  And keep yourself (O Muhammad) patiently with those who call on their Lord (i.e. Your Companions who remember their Lord with glorification, praising in prayers, etc., and other righteous deeds, etc). Morning and afternoon, seeking his face, and let not your eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp and glitter of the life of the world; and obey not his whose heart we have made heedless of Our Remembrance, one who follows his own lusts and whose affair(deeds) has been lost. (Suurat Al-Kahf, Aayah 28).

Knowing the Realities of Life:

And put forward to them the example of the life of this world, it is like the water (rain) which WE send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it, and becomes fresh and green. But (later) it becomes dry and broken pieces, which the winds scatter. And is able to do everything. Suurat Al-Kahf, Aayah 45

Humility:

He (Moses) said; "If ALLAH will, you will find me patient, and I will not disobey you in aught." Suurat Al-Kahf, Aayah 69).

Sincerity:

Say (O Muhammad); "I'm only a man like you. It has been inspired to me that your ilaah(God) is one ilaah(God). So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord. (Suurat Al-Kahf, Aayah 110).

May ALLAH save us from the trials which are obvious and hidden. Aameen. Finally.... I hope we understand the secret of reading this Suurat every Friday. We can realise it's importance in helping us understand the trials of this life and the way to be saved from them. There is no room for negligence in reading it every Friday and of course following it's commands afterwards. Assalaamu Alaikum warahmatullah wabarakaatuh. Please remember me in your dua.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
