THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 11th day of Muharram 1444AH. (Tuesday, 9th of August 2022).

OUR ROLE WHEN PROVIDING ADVICE. BismilLah.

As human beings, no one is perfect. We all make mistakes especially against ALLAH and to others. This advice is first of all to myself then to you the reader. I fell guilty when preparing this reminder but in Islam we must speak the truth even if it is against ourselves hoping that through that ALLAH can guide us from our errors and mistakes in life.

When correcting others, let's choose words that aim to “advise” rather than condemn, demean, or punish the other.

Avoid correcting the other person when your emotions are running high. If your intent is to see longer term behavior change in the other person without hurting your relationship, save the advice for future when you are more in control of your emotions. Angrily advising someone is bound to push the other to erect barriers rather than staying open to listen to the advice.

Even when you know that the other person is at fault, it is important to maintain humility. Consider this true story which is an important reminder: The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: “There were two men from Banoo Israa’eel, one of them committed sins and the other strove hard in worship. And the one who strove in worship continued to see the other sinner and kept saying to him: ‘Desist’. So one day, he found him committing a sin and said to him: ‘Desist’. He replied: “Leave me to my Lord; have you been sent as a watcher over me?” He said: “By ALLAH, ALLAH will not forgive you, nor will ALLAH admit you to Paradise.” when both died both were gathered and ALLAH said to the one who strove in worship: “Did you have knowledge of ME, or did you have any power over what was in MY Hands?” And HE said to the sinner: “Go and enter Paradise through MY Mercy.” And HE said to the other: “Take him to the Fire.” Abu Hurairah said: “By HIM in Whose Hand is my soul! the good worshiper spoke a word which destroyed this world and the Hereafter for him.” (Saheeh – reported by Abu Hurairah and collected in Aboo Daawood (Eng. trans. vol.3 p.1365 no.4883).

Let’s remember that in the Quran, ALLAH the Beneficent regards Muslims as helpers, supporters, friends, and protectors of each other: “The believers, men and women, are Auliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another

(Quran: 9:71). Our duty, therefore, is to be genuinely concerned about each other so that we can contribute to making life pleasant in this life and to help ourselves and others to prepare for the life in the Hereafter. And to reach that end, we need to be vigilant in ensuring that Islamic teachings are implemented and followed correctly. This necessitates giving and taking correct advice and constructive criticism wherever required.

May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us and our offspring from all illnesses. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 30th day of Rajab 1446AH, Thursday. 30th Jan. 2025). MEANING OF ALLAH CREATING HUMANS IN HIS OWN IMAGE.  BismilLah. Unfortunately, other faiths have made a serious mistake in trying to compare The CREATOR, ALLAH Azzawajal with HIS Creation human beings in physical appearance, and that's blasphemy and serious error  Sheikh AbuAmina, in one of his articles, explained that, in Islam, we believe that all people have been created in the “image” of ALLAH Azzawajal. But what does this mean? ALLAH Azzawajal is the creator of everything, including all people. That people are in the “image of ALLAH Azzawajal” means they are in the form that HE, ALLAH Azzawajal has chosen and honored for them, not that they resemble ALLAH Azzawajal in physical appearance or share in the Divine Essence. Just as we say a righteous person is the “servant of ALLAH” and a mosque is the “house of ALLAH” as a way to honor them, likewise is it an added dignity for pe...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat and Yaumul Aashuura. 10th day of Muharram, 1445AH (Friday, 28th July, 2023). SPECIAL EID DAY FOR US ALL. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum WarahmatulLah to you all. AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day. Today mark the day when ALLAH granted Musah alayhi salaam victory over Fir'awn. Today mark the day ALLAH humiliated HIS worse enemy on earth Fir'awn for his disbelief in ALLAH and claiming he was ALLAH. We are all fasting on this blessed day seeking forgiveness from ALLAH for our sins from last year till date as the Prophet sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam recommended.  Those who are unable to fast can still do much to earn lots of rewards especially our sisters and daughters in their monthly cycle. You can recite lots of azkaar and give sadaqah with your intention to seek forgiveness from ALLAH. Please remember today is Friday lets strive to go to Masjid early and also remember to send salutations to our...
