THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 5th day of Muharram. (FRIday, 13th of August 2021). HOW TO TASTE THE SWEETNESS OF EEMAAN. BismilLah.

To taste the sweetness of eeman, one must be convinced of ALLAH’s existence having a firm belief in HIM as the only Supreme Being and Deity who is worthy of worship. One must put his full trust in ALLAH (SWT) and accept HIM as his Lord and Master (RABB). Thus the statement, I am pleased with ALLAH as my Lord, (Radiitu Bil-Lahi Rabba).

The word, radiitu, in the hadith comes from the root (Ra Da Wa), which carries several meanings. It means, to acknowledge, to accept, to confirm, to approve, to be satisfied with, to be content with and to be pleased with, among other meanings. The statement Radiitu Bil-Lahi Rabba, conveys all these meanings and the implications of such a statement are:

1) Rida bil-uluhiyyah: To accept, be content and pleased with ALLAH (SWT) as the Lord of all that exist. In other words, nothing in the heavens nor on earth deserves or is worthy of worship except ALLAH (SWT). This is called Tawheed al-Uluhiyyah, or Unity of God, i.e. to single HIM out in worship with utmost sincerity.

2) Rida bil-Rububiyyah: To accept, be content and pleased with ALLAH (SWT) as the Lord or Master, Rabb. It is also to recognize HIM as the sole Creator and Sustainer of everything and to firmly believe that HE alone has the power to manage all affairs. Furthermore, to depend solely on HIM and to seek help from no one else other than HIM while accepting the Divine Decree HE decreed for us. This can be summed up as Tawheed al-Rububiyyah or Unity of Lordship.

3) Another implication is to accept all HIS commands. One must be happy and content with ALLAH’s final rulings and judgments for HE is the true Ruler and Sovereign.

4) Finally, to be pleased with ALLAH (SWT) as the Master (Rabb), one must have extreme love, respect and reverence for ALLAH (SWT). In describing the believers, ALLAH (SWT) says,“Those who (truly) believe, love ALLAH most passionately”

(al-Baqarah, 2:165).

May ALLAH protect our eemaan from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...

ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else.
