DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-khamis, 18th day of Sha'abaan (Thursday 1st April 2021). RAMADAAN PREVIOUS DEBTS. BismilLah.

Many are still asking that they missed previous Ramadan fastings, some even quoting 3 to 4 years of not able to fast due to either pregnancy,  breast-feeding, illness etc.

Lets note that those who were unable to fast for a legitimate sharia excuse, such as travellers, those who are sick,  menstruating women, pregnant women who are or were unable to fast etc have to make up the days when they did not fast, if they are able to fast. It is not permissible to feed poor people instead when one is able to fast, because ALLAH says:

“and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Sawm (fasts) must be made up] from other days” [al-Baqarah 2:185]

i.e., he must fast the number of days that he missed. It was narrated that Mu’aadhah said: I asked ‘Aa’ishah: “Why does the menstruating woman have to make up the fasts and not the prayers?” She said: “That used to happen to us, and we were commanded to make up the fasts but we were not commanded to make up the prayers.” Narrated by Muslim, 335.

Please note that even if you've not fasted for 4 years it means you owe 120 days of Fasting which you must fast whenever you are able to. Feeding the poor DOES NOT REPLACE the missed Ramadan fastings but only as insurance policy with ALLAH incase you die and still was unable to fast due to legitimate reasons but let's fear ALLAH and ensure we fast to cover all missed Ramadan fastings as its for our own good and its obligatory. Pregnancy and breast-feeding etc are not an excuse not to fast except those who are sick within the pregnancy and unable to fast then they can fast whenever possible. Always remember that the fasting is fard upon you but to conceive or have children is only sunnah and a gift from ALLAH so don't make the pregnancy and children priority than the fasting. Travelling is not an excuse to avoid fasting unless if you are facing difficulties with the fasting whilst travelling. Your partner or relative cannot fast for you whilst you are still alive so please note that too. You can ask questions and will try to respond if I know the answer. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
