THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-sabt, 18th day of Zul Hijjah (Saturday 8th August 2020).

BRIGHTNESS OF THE SOUL.  BismilLah.

The Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The soul of a believer is bright and there is a bright lamp in it. The soul of an unbeliever is black and blind. The polish of the soul is the obedience of ALLAH. Sins are impurities on the soul. He who proceeds towards sins makes his or her soul dark.

The successful in life are those who keep their souls bright, well-lit and polished. Such will be granted entrance to Jannah. [Quran: Surah Ash-Shuara, Ayat 89-90].

The recipe for keeping souls bright and polished are:

1. More Zikir (Quran Recitation and supplication to ALLAH with HIS beautiful attributes).

2. The obedience of ALLAH / The avoidance of sins with sincerity.

3. Keeping desires in check. Very Important. If you fancy anyone else in addition to your wife then marry her instead of adultrating. Etc.

When you crumble and fold paper in your hand then leave it, the crease lines naturally incline it to fold. If you want to straighten it out then you have to crumble and fold it in the opposite direction. The same is true of human nature. When it has become used to a life of indulgence you have to work against its natural inclinations to straighten it out. That's the most important jihad to strive for.

We ask ALLAH to aid us in our efforts to become obedient servants to HIM. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...

ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
