DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 17th day of Shawwal (Tuesday 9th June, 2020).
SEEKING PERMISSION TO ENTER SOMEONE'S HOME OR OFFICE. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

There are guidelines on seeking permission to enter someone's home which are fixed and do not change in ISLAM. They include the following:

1. Not looking inside the house before permission to enter is given. The Prophet (blessings and peace of ALLAH be upon him) said: It is not permissible for a Muslim to look inside any house until he has been given permission.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari in al-Adab al-Mufrad (1093).

2. Saying Assalaamu Alaikum before seeking permission to enter.
ALLAH says:
“O you who believe! Enter not houses other than your own, until you have asked permission and greeted those in them; that is better for you, in order that you may remember”[an-Noor 24:27]. Alhamdulillah.

3.  Knocking on the door or ringing the bell, and so on, takes the place of asking permission verbally, and opening the door by remote means takes the place of giving permission, if the visitor knows that they opened the door for him.

4.  It is essential to mention one’s name if the people inside the house ask who is there. It was narrated that Jaabir ibn ‘Abdullah (may ALLAH be pleased with him) said: I came to the Prophet (blessings and peace of ALLAH be upon him) and knocked on the door, and he said: “Who is there?” I said: It’s me. And he said: “Me, me?” as if he disliked that, Narrated by al-Bukhaari (6250).
That is because if the one who is seeking permission to enter says “It’s me,” he is not properly identifying himself.

It is strictly forbidden and dangerous for a husband brother to be alone with the wife or enter her brother's wife's home or room without permission and without the presence of the husband. The biological brother of your husband is not your relative as such cannot be alone with you my sisters. The Prophet warned against both been alone so let's avoid that. Don't leave your wife living alone with your brother in a house please. It's forbidden and compared to death by the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam which has been neglected in our Muslim communities today.  The Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) forbade non-mahrams (unrelated men) to enter upon women. He said: "Beware of entering upon women." One of the Sahaabah said to him, "O Messenger of ALLAAH, what about the brother-in-law?" He said: "The brother-in-law is death!" (Reported by al-Bukhaari, Fath al-Baari, 9/330).

Alhamdulillah for guiding us through all ways of life. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ar-ba'a. 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Wednesday 20th January 2021). Who are Believers. BismilLah.  Lets check in  Suurah Al-Mu'minun (The Believers). ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
