DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YaumulJumuat, 8th day of Ramadhan (Friday 1st May, 2020). WHY QUR'AN IS THE BEST MIRACLE ON EARTH. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The miracles that were given to the previous prophets and Messengers were such that they would have the greatest impact on that particular nation and those times ONLY.  The people at the time of Moses (peace be upon him) excelled in magic and sorcery, so he was given miracles which surpassed all their abilities, as a proof of his prophethood.  The people at the time of Issah, Jesus (peace be upon him) excelled in healing and medicine, and he was accordingly given appropriate miracles for that time by ALLAH to proof to them he was sent as a Prophet to them that's why he always said by the permission of my Lord as he has no powers by himself.  The people at the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) were masters of language and eloquence - he was sent to them with the Quran with language is the best and eloquent ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 7th day of Ramadhan (Thursday 30th April, 2020). SAY LAA ILAAHA ILL-ALLAAH REGULARLY AND STUDY ITS MEANING WELL. BismilLaah. It was narrated from Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri (may ALLAH be pleased with him) that the Messenger of ALLAH (blessings and peace of ALLAH be upon him) said: “Muusah (peace be upon him) said: ‘O Lord, teach me something by which I may remember You and call upon You.’ HE said: ‘Say: Laa ilaaha ill- ALLAH (there is none worthy of worship  but ALLAH).’ He said: ‘O Lord, all Your slaves say that.’ He said: ‘Say: Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah.’  He said: ‘There is no god but You, my Lord, but I wanted something that is only for me.’ He said: ‘O Muusah, if the seven heavens and all their inhabitants others except Me, and the seven earths, were (placed) in one pan (of the Balance) and Laa ilaaha ill-Allah was placed in the other pan, Laa ilaaha ill-Allah would outweigh them.”Narrated by Ibn Hibbaan (6218) and al-Haakim (1936). Al-Ha...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 6th day of Ramadhan (Wednesday 29th April, 2020). ALLAH LOVE TO FORGIVE SO LET'S REVERSE BACK TO HIM BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. One of the beautiful nature of Islam is that no matter how much evil we become, if we turns sincerely to the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth (ALLAH), repenting and asking for forgiveness, the matter is over, we are forgiven, and not just that, the love of ALLAH SWT for us that was present before will all be back, because HE is al-Wadud, HE is the Loving One. And this is the mercy of ALLAH, Azza wa Jal,  The Mighty and the Majestic. You remember the true story of a man who killed 100 human beings and he wanted to repent to ALLAH SWT but in the process of going to a town where he can meet good people and repent dies on his way but just bcs of his intention to repent ALLAH forgave him and he finally entered Jannat Allahu Akbar. So the point is and as mentioned in the Quran, the worst sins that ever committed w...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 5th day of Ramadhan (Tuesday 28th April, 2020). FEW TIPS TO PREVENT THE FEELING OF THIRST DURING OUR RAMADAN DAYS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's make sure we drink plenty of fluids and water between Iftar and Suhour to prevent dehydration. Limit your intake of fried foods and foods high in fats and sugar. Avoid foods high in salt such as pickles, salty crackers and nuts, and canned foods. Try not to drink too much tea especially at Suhuur as it can increase fluids lost through urination. It is highly recommended for Muslims to take their pre-dawn meal (as-suhuur) before beginning the day of fasting. The Prophet mentioned its blessings in several traditions. Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: تَسَحَّرُوا فَإِنَّ فِي السُّحُورِ بَرَكَةً Take the morning meal. Verily, there is blessing in the morning meal. Sahih Bukhari 1823. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and grant us a succ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 4th day of Ramadhan (Monday 27th April, 2020). WASTING TIME IN THIS BLESSED MONTH. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ramadhan is a blessed month which is a gift from ALLAH to aid us get closer to HIM. We've got only under 30 days to change our whole year of bad habits.  That’s all the time we have to make use of in the most blessed month of the year, Ramadhan. It's our year MOT so please don't fail the test. Stop Watching TV: Give yourself a break from the soaps/ shows you watch on television. Please sacrifice the time you spend on TV at least this one month. You don’t want to be regretting it later once the month has passed. Our TV channels are full of satanic  tools to deviate us from spending our time for something better.  Let's use the opportunity  of this blessed month to get rid of our habits which we are addicted to as an effort to get us closer to ALLAH. Imagine the time you spent on TV series and compare how many ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 3rd day of Ramadhan (Sunday 26th April, 2020). ACTS OF WORSHIP FOR OUR SISTERS DURING THEIR MONTHLY CYCLE IN RAMADHAN. BismilLah. These are also for those who are not fasting in general for whatever reasons. 1. Listen/study the Quran. Sisters in their monthly cycle should listen to the Quran as much as possible, while simultaneously pondering about its deep meanings by listeningto the tafseer widely accessible now via online. It is permissible to read the Arabic script or its translation with your eyes, such as on a computer screen or other electronic devices. You can also read the Quran from your memory any portion you've memorized. 2. Make more Remembrance (Dhikr) of ALLAH. You should use every free moment to exalt the Lord of the Worlds. There are many related azkaar such astaqfirulLah,  yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyuum Birahmatika Astaqeeth etc. 3. Send Blessings on the Prophet (ALLAH bless him and give him peace). That's salaat alan Nabi...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 2nd day of Ramadhan (Saturday 25th April, 2020). HOW TO REPAIR OUR WEAK RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR CREATOR IN THIS BLESSED MONTH. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ramadaan is a blessed month for all of us to find any possible means to correct our relationship with our Creator, ALLAH. It's important we strive to better our ways of life and seek guidance from ALLAH not to go back to our sinful acts after Ramadaan. There are ways and tools from ALLAH to aid us from any satanic influences because definitely sheitan will be released from prison and he will be like a wounded lion seeking to get back his lost mates due to Ramadaan. The most effective way is to learn or study the Qur'an, Recite it regularly and ponder on the meanings. Tranquility then descends and our hearts become soft and re-establish its connection to it Creator. To get optimum benefit, remind yourself that ALLAH is speaking to you in the Quran. People are described in different c...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YaumulJumuat, 1st day of Ramadhan (Friday 24th April, 2020). Rulings regarding wet dreams in Ramadan.  BismilLah. AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this years Ramadhan. If you experience a wet dream during the day in Ramadhan, your fasting is still sound and is not affected by the wet dream, because you didn't do that intentionally. However, it is obligatory for you to perform the ritual purification (ghusl) so as to perform the prayer. Let me add that during fasting days or times we should try to avoid sleeping during the day and maximize our ibaadaat for more rewards, even at work or home we can recite the Quran from our mobile devices and lots of zikir. Recite other azkar like SubhaanAllah, Walhamdulillah, Walaailaaha illallah. Wallahu Akbar etc. But if for some reason we need to sleep small let's try to recite aayatul Kursy, suuratul Ikhlas to Nas before sleeping in shaa ALLAH. Please check my WhatsApp status for the d...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 30th day of Sha'abaan (Thursday 23rd April, 2020). RAMADHAN FASTING TO START POSSIBLY TOMORROW FRIDAY IN SHAA ALLAH. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As at yesterday evening Wednesday 22nd April 2020, there was no reliable sighting of the crescent as such Sha'abaan will end 30 days for Ramadan to commence tomorrow Friday as the Prophet sallalLaahu  Alaihi Wasallam commanded. But if any country or Imam chooses today to be 29th of Shaăban by their calculation then they shouldn't be blamed for fasting on Saturday if the moon is not sighted tonight as such we must stop any unnecessary arguments that causes hatred and division in this blessed month. I will send a special reminder this evening to clarify if fasting tomorrow is reliably confirmed or not in shaa ALLAH. Is my hope that we all unite and tolerate each other's views hoping for ALLAH'S mercy on us all. Please do not hesitate to ask questions especially pertaining to ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 29th day of Sha'abaan (Wednesday 22nd April, 2020). ARE WE PLANNING TO HELP OTHERS FOR ALLAH SAKE IN THIS BLESSED MONTH OF RAMADHAN?. BismilLah. In shaa ALLAH, Ramadhan may start tomorrow subject to moon sighting this evening. With the current virus infection moment, let's adhere to the healthcare professionals and avoid gathering for Taraaweeh etc, stay at home and pray with your family. Let's use the blessings of this month to seek ALLAH'S guidance, forgiveness and protection. It's a trial from ALLAH due to our own errors in life and only HE can help us. Back to our topic. If you are blessed with wealth, good health or knowledge, then we should acknowledge HIS blessing by sharing with those who are less fortunate. Some may need direct financial aid. Others may need guidance in the form of sound sincere advice. Others may need comfort and a good word. All are forms of Sadaqa that will count in our favor. Let's look into ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 28th day of Sha'abaan (Tuesday 21st April, 2020). HEALTHY LIVING IN RAMADAN. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. When you fast, your energy mainly depends on the sugar glucose that you consume during your Suhour meal. But this meal can only provide energy for a few hours and then your body has to depend on its stored glucose (glycogen) and fats. And after fasting the whole day, it is the food you eat at Iftar that will provide your body cells with calories and nutrients to give you energy and vitality. For longer lasting energy this year, it is important to pay attention to the quality of the food you eat at this predawn meal. It is considered essential, as it prevents hunger, tissue breakdown and offers better endurance ability during the long day. Try to eat slowly digestible and absorbable foods which are rich in fibre such as complex carbohydrates (whole-wheat breads, rice, pasta, potatoes etc). These foods give you energy that can...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 27th day of Sha'abaan (Monday 20th April, 2020). EXPIATION IF YOU SLEEP WITH YOUR WIFE OR BREAK YOUR FAST DURING THE DAY DUE TO ANY RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR WIFE. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ramadan is few days ahead Alhamdulillah and may ALLAH favor us to be part with good health through the halaal means. We all know that it's permissible to have any halaal relationship with your wife after breaking the fast in Ramadan. But to do that during the day time whilst fasting is ongoing is a grave evil, a major sin and a repulsive shameful deed. What you must do if it ever happens or happened before is to repent to ALLAH, may HE be exalted, and make up that day, as well as offering expiation. Ibn Qudaamah (may ALLAH have mercy on him) said: The expiation (kafaarah) becomes a binding obligation upon one who has intercourse in Ramadan during the day deliberately, whether he ejaculates or not, according to the view of the majority of schola...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YaumulAhad, 26th day of Sha'abaan (Sunday 19th April, 2020). If I have a cold (runny nose, sneezing, stuffiness), should I break my fast?, How severe an illness must be, in order to warrant breaking the fast in Ramadhan? BismillahirRahmaanir Raheem. Let's remind ourselves that fasting is not a burden on us but a given opportunity to wipe our sins and be so called born again Muslim. You are allowed to break your fast only if fasting makes your illness worse or prevents you from taking medication that you must take for the treatment. In the case of the common cold, you are not allowed to break your fast unless the cold is unbearable for you, and you are not able to function properly without taking medication. If you think this is the case, then you should break your fast, for ALLAH says to the nearest meaning, "Hence, whoever of you lives to see this month (i.e. Ramadhan) shall fast throughout it; but he or she that is ill, or on a journey strug...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 25th day of Sha'abaan (Saturday 18th April, 2020). PREGNANT AND BREASTFEEDING WOMEN IN RELATION TO FASTING IN RAMADAN. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Its important to start reminding each other about Ramadan dos and dons from today in shaa ALLAH. First of all, let me remind all that, a husband CANNOT fast to cover his wife's missed Ramadan fastings. With regards to Breastfeeding mothers and also pregnant women, two scenarios may apply: 1. If the woman is not affected by fasting, and fasting is not too difficult for her, and she does not fear for her child, then she is obliged to fast, and it is not permissible for her not to fast. 2. If the woman fears for herself or her child because of fasting, and fasting is difficult for her, then she is allowed not to fast, but she has to make up the days that she does not fast after Ramadan. In this situation it is better for her not to fast, and it is makrooh or descouraged for her to fas...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 24th day of Sha'abaan (Friday 17th April, 2020). OUR ROLE WHEN PROVIDING ADVICE. BismilLah. When correcting others, let's choose words that aim to “advise” rather than condemn, demean, or punish the other. Avoid correcting the other person when your emotions are running high. As mentioned earlier, if your intent is to see longer term behavior change in the other person without hurting your relationship, save the advice for future when you are more in control of your emotions. Angrily advising someone is bound to push the other to erect barriers rather than staying open to listen to the advice. Even when you know that the other person is at fault, it is important to maintain humility. Consider this story which is an important reminder: The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: “There were two men from Banoo Israa’eel who strove equally. One of them committed sins and the other strove hard in worship. And the one who strove in w...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 23rd day of Sha'abaan (Thursday 16th April, 2020). CORRECT OTHERS by “ADVISING ” and not “CONDEMNING”. BismilLah. People always seek advice to gain from others’ knowledge and experience. Providing advice by enjoining the good and forbidding the evil is an integral part of Islamic teachings. ALLAH says in the Quran, “You are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma’ruf (the good that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (the bad that Islam has forbidden)” (Quran 3:110). HE also tells us that within families, we should actively advise each other to do what’s right and to stay away from the wrong. ALLAH says, “O you who believe! Ward off yourselves and your families against a Fire (Hell)…” (Quran 66:6). As promising as the concept may seem, advising people does require a willingness and sincerity on the part of all involved. Advising takes even a different form when it is done to correct others’ faults and mi...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 22nd day of Sha'abaan (Wednesday 15th April, 2020). There are those who fast while they do not pray, Will their fast be accepted?. BismilLah. Salaah is the most fundamental pillar of Islam; it is the hallmark of faith and the key to paradise. So, no one can exaggerate the importance of salaah in Islam. We read in the Qur'an: "On the Day of Judgment, those in hellfire will be asked, 'Why are you in hell?' they would answer, because we were not among those who used to pray, nor were in the habit of feeding the poor. Rather, we were simply indulging with those who used to indulge and we used to deny the Day of Reckoning until death came upon us." (Qur'an 74: 43-47). Therefore, no Muslim can afford to neglect the salaah without risking his salvation. The Prophet (peace be upon him) stressed the crucial nature of salaah when he said, "The covenant between us(Muslims) and them(non Muslims) is marked by salaah; so w...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 21st day of Sha'abaan (Tuesday 14th April, 2020). LET'S SPEAK WITH CARE. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As Ramadan approaches, let's strive to change our complete ways of life including how we speak to others etc. We must always be wary of the words that slip out of our mouths. ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) has appointed angels to record the deeds, both good and bad, of the children of Aadam (alaihis salam). These are the angels referred to in the Ayaat: “But verily, over you (are appointed angels) to watch you, Kiraaman Kaatibeen, writing down. They know all that you do.” [Quran 82:10-12]. ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) says: “(Remember) that the two receivers (recording Angels), one sitting on the right and one on the left. Not a word does he (or she) utter but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it).” [Quran 50:17-18]. Ibn Katheer may ALLAH  be pleased with him mentioned that Imaam Ahmad used to moan when he was sick. Then...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 20th day of Sha'abaan (Monday 13th April, 2020). HOW ARE YOU SAVING FOR YOUR NEXT LIFE?. BismilLah. The Mighty ALLAH and HIS Messenger Prophet Muhammed sallallahu alaihi wasallam has encouraged/recommended us to be wise and invest for our hereafter instead of chasing this temporary place of abode for our body. It's so scary that we don't know when we will die but yet we keep on spending time accomulating wealth on wealth instead of saving for our real future eternal home, the hereafter. Imagine you live abroad without residence permit but living like you have nowhere to return to by working and spending your money without supporting any family member back home or doing nothing back home and suddenly you get arrested and deported after many years of living abroad. You will regret forever isn't it? This is not even compare to life and death as you can recover through peoples help on return but when we die without savings with A...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YaumulAhad, 19th day of Sha'abaan (Sunday 12th April, 2020). EVIL DISEASES OF THE HEART. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Imagine standing in Tahajjud/ Taraaweeh most of the night but end up gaining sins AstaqfirulLah. Very dangerous isn't it. As human beings we have this dangerous disease of acting to please others instead of ALLAH. Imagine someone offering Salaat, as soon as he noticed someone watching, he or she try to perfect it than how he use to do it, that's a minor shirk if not major bcs it means you are prefearing the person looking at you than ALLAH looking at you live all the time. This is the disease of ar-riyaa (show-off). It’s very difficult. Nobody can say, “I’m safe from riyaa.” The one who says this is showing off. The Prophet warned us about riyaa, but what is the meaning of ar-riyaa? Riyaa is so dangerous that the Prophet gave it a special name. He said, “Indeed the thing I fear for you the most is the minor shirk (associati...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 18th day of Sha'abaan (Friday 11th April, 2020). SEEKING ANY FORM OF HELP FROM FORTUNE TELLERS/ SOOTHSAYERS ETC IS FORBIDDEN. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Unfortunately or due to lack of Islamic knowledge, you see or hear lots of Muslims consulting fortune tellers or so called MAALAMS for spiritual help. Some even consult them to find out if a brother or sister he or she intends marrying is a compatible match for marriage AstaghfirulLah. There are among mankind people who claim knowledge of the unseen and the future. They are known by various names, among which are: fortune-tellers, soothsayers, foreseers, augurs, magicians, prognosticators, oracles, astrologers, palmists, etc. Fortune-tellers use various methods and mediums from which they claim to extract their information, among which are: reading tea-leaves, drawing lines, writing numbers, palm-reading, casting horoscopes, crystal ball gazing, rattling bones, throwing sticks, etc. Th...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YaumulJumuat, 17th day of Sha'abaan (Friday 10th April, 2020). USING RAMADAN AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PURIFY OUR SOULS. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Ramadhan Fasting is not only about abstaining from food and drink but it is also about abstaining from anger, backbiting, jealousy, greed, thinking ill of people; and all the other diseases of the heart. Purification of the soul from the illnesses of the heart is not an easy task and the person who is able to free him/herself from these unhealthy qualities is truly the successful one. ALLAH (swt) says: “And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it; And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and righteousness, he has succeeded who purifies it.” (Qur’an, 91:7-9). We all suffer from the constant annoying whispers of the shaytan (devil) that just won’t go away, thus making the task of purification even more difficult but that's a task for us. For this reason, the blessed month of Ramadan is an id...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 16th day of Sha'abaan (Thursday 9th April, 2020). The ultimate reward of PATIENCE. BismilLah. ALLAH exhorts HIS slaves to seek help with patience and prayer when facing calamities that may befall a person. ALLAH says “And seek help in patience and As-Salaah (the prayer) and truly, it is extremely heavy and hard except for Al-Khaashi‘oon [i.e. the true believers in ALLAH, those who obey ALLAH with full submission, fear much from HIS punishment, and believe in HIS Promise (Paradise) and in HIS Warnings (Hell)]”Quran 2:54. ALLAH states that the victory of attaining Paradise and being saved from Hell will be won only by those who are patient, as HE says “Verily, I have rewarded them this Day for their patience; they are indeed the ones that are successful” 23:111. AlhamdulilLah. May ALLAH (Al-Hayyu and Al-Qayyuum, The Living and the Maintainer of Life) have mercy on us and ease our test in life. Aameen.
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 15th day of Sha'abaan (Wednesday 8th April, 2020). LOVING ONE ANOTHER AND SPREADING PEACE. BismilLah. Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of ALLAH (peace be upon him) said, "By HIM in Whose Hand is my life! You will not enter Jannah until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I inform you of something which, if you do, you will love one another? Promote greetings amongst yourselves." (Riyad as-Saalihin, Book 6, Hadith 4). This is one of my favourite Hadiths.  Paradise is not just through our deeds or actions, it is from ALLAH'S Mercy. And it is HIS Mercy that through loving one another and spreading Salaam that you can attain Jannah. Even in Jannah, when the people meet each other, there is just peace. Why are you not talking to your brother or sister etc to the extent of no Assalaamu Alaikum to them. Well if you cannot forgive him or her then don't expect ALLAH to forgive you and th...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 14th day of Sha'abaan (Tuesday 7th April, 2020). WHO IS YOUR PRIORITY IN LIFE? Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem.  As Ramadan approaches, it's important to renew our relationship with our Creator, ALLAH. Please note that No matter how overloaded a bus is, the driver's seat is always reserved. Who is the driver of your life? No matter how busy your schedules are...always remember to reserve a seat for the driver of your life and that's ALLAH not your husband, wife, father, mother etc but ALLAH so make your priority in life to please HIM and fear no one else in your efforts to Please ALLAH and ALLAH will then help you to deal with other challenges. Frankly and truthfully, ALMOST ALL OUR DIFFICULTIES in life are due to the fact that we've made someone or something else as our driver in life and human beings can only fail you if you make them your priority other than ALLAH. For most people, job, partner, parents, children etc...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 13th day of Sha'abaan (Monday 6th April, 2020). SEEKING CONTINUES GUIDANCE FROM THE CREATOR, ALLAH REGULARLY AS MUSLIMS. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Good guidance is Allah’s greatest gift to mankind. Those who accept this guidance are termed Muslims. The name of the guidance is Islam. That's to submit or surrender to the guidance of the Creator. We cannot do without HIS guidance. Our lives will be absolutely of any meaning, unless we acknowledge ALLAH and worship HIM as HE alone deserves to be worshipped. As long as we have right guidance, we would know where we came from and where we’re going to when we die. As Muslims, we are very lucky because we don’t even have to hunt and search for the right guidance as non Muslims are struggling with. In the Holy Quran and the life of the Final Messenger Muhammad peace be upon him, we find all the guidance we need to be successful. Every time we recite Suurah Faatihah, we begin by thanking...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 12th day of Sha'abaan (Sunday 5th April, 2020). THREE SOURCES OF ALL SINS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Sheikh Ibn Al-Qayyim writes in his book Al-Fawaa’id: People may enter the Hellfire by three doors: the door of doubts which lead to uncertainty in the religion of ALLAH, the door of lusts which lead to preferring desires over obedience to ALLAH, and the door of anger which lead to aggression against HIS creation. The sources of every sin are three matters: arrogance which caused Satan behave the way he did, greed which caused Aadam to be expelled from the garden, and envy which emboldened one of the sons of Aadam against his brother. He who protects himself from these three matters will be protected from evil. Unbelief comes from arrogance, disobedience comes from greed, and transgression and injustice come from envy. Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He will not enter Hellf...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 11th day of Sha'abaan (Saturday 4th April, 2020). A MUSLIM MUST NOT PANIC OR WORRY IN LIFE IF INDEED WE TRUST NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH. BismilLah. Panic, Feelings of stress/wories and that life is too hard do not control a man's mind unless there are reasons that provoke these kinds of feelings. Rather they are indicative that the relationship between a person and his Lord is not sound. The more a man turns to ALLAAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAAH. Hence those who know ALLAAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’aan, as Allaah says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YaumulJumuat, 10th day of Sha'abaan (Friday 3rd April, 2020). PROTECTION OF THE TONGUE. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The last and final in the chain of Messengers to mankind Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has given us golden principles and comprehensive rules to live by, which are a key to our over all success in both the worlds. These rules pertain to both, the realm of worship and the domain of social life. Today, I invite your attention to certain social ills, which are rampant in our society and we not only have become insensitive towards them, but also practice them day and night without thinking that by doing so we are disobeying ALLAH (SWT) and HIS Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam). One among those ills is ‘backbiting’. It means that you say something about someone in his/her absence which he/she wouldn’t like if said in his/her presence. It doesn’t matter if the mentioned shortcoming or flaw is true or false. If it is true then it...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 9th day of Sha'abaan (Thursday 2nd April, 2020). RAMADAN PREPARATIONS IN SHAABAAN. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The Arrival of the Sha’baan moon brings with it numerous blessings. Just as a farmer prepares for a fruitful harvest by harrowing his acreage so that the soil may readily retain water; in contrast our souls are geared by the presence of such blessings in Sha’baan effectively preparing us for a fruitful and completely advantageous Ramadan. The month of Sha’baan is one of the meritorious months in the Islamic calendar and it is reported in an authentic hadith that the Holy Prophet (sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to fast most of this month. Although these fasts are not obligatory, but those of us who fast Mondays, Thursday and the 3 white days should continue in preparation for Ramadan. Lets turn the lockdown to our advantage by using our free time to study our deen and prepare ourselves towards Ramadan. May ALLAH (Azza wa...
