DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 1st day of Muharram (Saturday 31st August, 2019).
CAN A WIFE SAVE HER INCOME AND SOME OF WHAT HER HUSBAND GIVES HER FOR UPKEEPING? BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

If the man gives his wife a certain amount of money to spend on the housekeeping, and she is able to manage it well and save some of this money to use in the future, then there is nothing wrong with this; rather she is to be thanked for doing it, but that is subject to certain conditions:

That this does not involve deceiving or lying to the husband, such as if she asks him for things that she does not need, then she does not buy them and saves that money instead, or she asks for more than she needs, then only buys part of it and saves the rest of the money. That comes under the heading of lying and deceit, and is not permissible.

That no constraint should be caused to the husband and children as a result of that saving, because the husband only gave her that money to spend on what the household needs.

That this saving should be in the interests of the family as a whole, not for her personal interests, or to spend it on things that the husband does not approve of.

The husband should not have any objection to her saving his money, because the money belongs to him and he is free to dispose of it as he wishes.
If these conditions are met, then there is nothing wrong with what she is doing; rather it comes under the heading of good management.

As for her savings from her own salary, there is nothing wrong with that, because the salary belongs to her and does not belong to the husband, and she may dispose of it however she wishes. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and increase us all in beneficial knowledge. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...

ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
