DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 1st day of Muharram (Saturday 31st August, 2019). CAN A WIFE SAVE HER INCOME AND SOME OF WHAT HER HUSBAND GIVES HER FOR UPKEEPING? BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. If the man gives his wife a certain amount of money to spend on the housekeeping, and she is able to manage it well and save some of this money to use in the future, then there is nothing wrong with this; rather she is to be thanked for doing it, but that is subject to certain conditions: That this does not involve deceiving or lying to the husband, such as if she asks him for things that she does not need, then she does not buy them and saves that money instead, or she asks for more than she needs, then only buys part of it and saves the rest of the money. That comes under the heading of lying and deceit, and is not permissible. That no constraint should be caused to the husband and children as a result of that saving, because the husband only gave her that money to spend on what...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 29th day of Dhul Hijjah (Friday 30th August, 2019). GOOD & BAD MANNERS, A SOURCE OF PARADISE OR HELL. BismilLah. AlhamdulilLah for blessing us with yet another Friday. The reminder on this blessed day is a serious topic for each of us especially to myself first. Just imagine that a polite answer turns away anger and a kind word uttered in time may save us from many troubles true or false? True. It is politeness which succeeds while ability fails. Even a good action will lose its value if the person doing favor utters impolite words. It is on this note that we, as Muslims, should endeavor to learn from the Prophet Muhammad (sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam) who summarized the goal of his entire message into the perfection of the best of conduct in the beautiful hadith: “I have been sent to perfect the best of manners” (Muwatta’ Malik, 8) ALLAH describes the Prophet and his ways as: "Indeed you stand on an exalted standard of character...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 28th day of Dhul Hijjah (Thursday 29th August, 2019). SOME SERIOUS TRAPS OF SHEITAN. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. A serious trap of Sheitan to be careful about is Arousing Desires. ALLAH says; “Satan promises them and arouses desire in them. But Satan does not promise them except delusion.”Qur’an 4:120: Every human has desires and temptations. Satan plays on this and convinces man to indulge in instant gratification without considering the consequences. This inevitably leads to regret and humiliation, either in this life or on the Day of Judgement. Another trap is Wasting Time: If Satan cannot trap someone into sinning, he keeps them busy with trivial acts which have no benefit. Instead of using our time wisely, fulfilling our priorities and reaching high goals, Satan occupies us with useless actions. Let's be aware and stay away from Satan's traps We ask ALLAH to protect us from Sheitan. Aameen.
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 27th day of Dhul Hijjah (Wednesday 28th August, 2019). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed  sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insult to othe...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 26th day of Dhul Hijjah (Tuesday 27th August, 2019). GIVING UP HOPE IN LIFE IS AN ACT OF KUFUR (DISBELIEF). BismilLaah. As Muslims its important we study our Deen (religion) and apply the teachings in our daily ways of life. How can a Muslim be even worried in life after all the Promises of ALLAH and HIS Messenger? This life on earth is a live journey to Paradise for all Muslims who belief and practice and in every journey there are obstacles isn't it? Imagine you walking from one village to the city for a very important reason, your focus is the destination not the problems you face on your way isnt it? We all want to enter PARADISE and the journey maybe difficult as ALLAH promised to test us in Quran 2:155. ALLAH also promised a way out of any difficulties read Quran 65:2-3. So why are you mourning? Don't you trust your lord who feed the birds, insects etc? ALLAH even says through difficulties comes ease so why are you worried...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 25th day of Dhul Hijjah (Monday 26th August, 2019). WHY QUR'AN IS THE BEST MIRACLE ON EARTH. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The miracles that were given to the previous prophets and Messengers were such that they would have the greatest impact on that particular nation.  The people at the time of Moses (peace be upon him) excelled in magic and sorcery, so he was given miracles which surpassed all their abilities, as a proof of his prophethood.  The people at the time of Issah, Jesus (peace be upon him) excelled in healing and medicine, and he was accordingly given appropriate miracles for that time by Allah to proof to them he was sent as a Prophet to them.  The people at the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) were masters of language and eloquence - he was sent to them with the Quran.  The powerful effect it had on its listeners, who were skilled practitioners in the art of rhetoric, was unsurpassable till da...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 24th day of Dhul Hijjah (Sunday 25th August, 2019). PROPHET MUHAMMED (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), THE ROLE MODEL FOR MANKIND. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Who is your role model in life? The musician?, film actor?, Your Imam? The footballer etc Or OUR BELOVED PROPHET MUHAMMAD sallallaahu alaihi wasallam?. The diseases of our age are many and the distractions are indeed powerful. The forces of economic exploitation, wanton greed, vengeance, and unjustified wars are wreaking havoc on our civilization and making headlines every day. It is rare to find examples when the virtues of love, generosity, and forgiveness are reflected in the lives of people. We should remember that despair is not in the vocabulary of the Quran or the Prophetic tradition.  The historical record shows that the spread of Islam to the lands beyond the Arabian Peninsula had more to do with the beauty and simplicity that the followers of Prophet Muhammad sallalLaahu ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 23rd day of Dhul Hijjah (Saturday 24th August, 2019). THE TRIPLE FILTER TEST. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Keep away from ill-thinking/suspicions because ill-thinking is the greatest falsehood.” [Sahih Bukhari]. During the Abbasid period, one of the scholars in Baghdad was greeted by an acquaintance who said, "Do you know what I just heard about your friend?" Scholar: "Hold on a minute, before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test." The Man: "Triple Filter Test?" Scholar: "That's right, before you talk to me about my friend it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you're going to say. That's why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?" The Man: ...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 22nd day of Dhul Hijjah (Friday 23rd August, 2019). THE BEST DAY OF THE WEEK. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. When the Friday prayer has been concluded, then disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of ALLAH and remember ALLAH often that you may succeed. Suurat Al-Jumuah 62:10. This verse clearly shows that the best time to do business on Friday is after jumuat especially for those with shops, taxi drivers etc.  It's also important to be reciting lots  of zikir after jumuat such laailaaha illaa Anta Astaghfiruka wa atuubu ilaika, oh ALLAH, there is nothing worthy of worship except you ALLAH, I repent to you and I seek your forgiveness. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ثُمَّ أَتَى الْج...

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 21st day of Dhul Hijjah (Thursday 22nd August, 2019). FORGIVING OTHERS IS A BLESSINGS FOR OURSELVES. BismilLah. Can anyone reading this reminder claims he or she does not make mistakes and fall short, and does not wrong other people or transgress their rights to some extent? each of us would like people to forgive us for all the wrongs we have done to them isn't it?, so why wouldn't you forgive others who wrong you? Anyway listen to what our Creator ALLAH, may HE be exalted says in HIS Book, the Quran to forgive people and be patient with their annoyance: “If [instead] you show some good or conceal it or pardon an offense, indeed, ALLAH is ever Pardoning and Competent” [an-Nisaa’ 4:149]. Again ALLAH says “And whoever is patient and forgives, indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination”[ash-Shoora 42:43]. Again “But if you pardon and overlook and forgive, then indeed, ALLAH is Forgiving and Merciful”[at-Taghaabun 64:14...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 19th day of Dhul Hijjah (Tuesday 20th August, 2019). LET'S BE REALISTIC AND SERVE OUR LORD, ALLAH PROPERLY. BismilLah. We are  all hoping for Paradise but most are not working for it. How do you expect to get PARADISE when you haven't worked for it on Earth? That's like expecting to pass an exam you never took a class for. We live in a time where people leave out food in fear of becoming overweight, but cannot leave out sins in  fear of ALLAH! For a believer. you may be penniless, homeless, unemployed, sick and feel like you have nothing. But you have the One thing that money can't buy: "ALLAH". ALLAH knows what you want, what you need, what you deserve, at what time & what place, trust HIM & HIS decisions is best for HIS creation, HE knows while you don't. May ALLAH aid us through our little efforts to please HIM seeking HIS PARADISE. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 18th day of Dhul Hijjah (Monday 19th August, 2019). OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR PARENTS. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem.  We all know the important role our parents play in our lives as Muslims particularly our mother. Our mothers go through pains and sufferings during pregnancy and go through sleepless nights. It becomes worse during labour. There is nothing on earth that you can do as a child to repay your mum for that even if you carry her on foot to hajj, you've done nothing in reciprocating her pains and sufferings. Our parents as a team provided for all our needs as infants. They may have made lots of errors or mistakes in our upbringing but we cannot just ignore the pains of pregnancy and Labour. Our indebtedness to our parents is so immense that it is not possible to repay it fully. In lieu of this, it becomes obligatory for us to show the utmost kindness, respect, and obedience to our parents. The position of parents, and the...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 17th day of Dhul Hijjah (Sunday 18th August, 2019). THIS EARTH IS NOT A PLACE OF HAVING FUN. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ISLAM doesn't tell us to stop having 'fun', rather from my little experience it teaches you to redefine 'fun'. Do you have any fun when you are sitting in an exams hall writting your exams? Obviously no. The 'fun' that people in this world are obsessed with barely lasts, and it never satisfies. Most of the process of having fun today is geared towards committing sins. They always want more and more, and they lead themselves further and further into destruction. ALLAH knows this and this is why HE has made restrictions to stop us from the type of fun that will only lead to destruction, in this world and in the hereafter. Once you learn to consider what ALLAH has ordained for you and learn to find pleasure in it, that is the best fun you can have in this world, everything else is deception and ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 16th day of Dhul Hijjah (Saturday 17th August, 2019). FIRM BELIEF AND PERFECT RELIANCE ON ALLAH SHOULD BE OUR PRIORITY AS MUSLIMS. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.  ALLAH, the Exalted, says:  "The believers are only those who, when ALLAH is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts; and when HIS Verses (this Qur'an) are recited unto them, they (i.e., the Verses) increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Creator(Alone)(8:2).  So as Muslims, Even in the worst circumstances one should always have faith and trust in ALLAH and recite the above verse and in shaa ALLAH nothing can touch us except if it's a test from ALLAH on our eemaan (faith) in HIM. Nothing  can happen to us without HIS permission so let's be mindful of ALLAH and fear None. We ask ALLAH to increase us in knowledge, wisdom and courage to be able to rely only on HIM for all our affairs. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 15th day of Dhul Hijjah (Friday 16th August, 2019). THE REALITY OF DEATH. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALLAH says in HIS Message to Mankind in Quran that; "O you who believe! Let not your properties, nor your children divert you from the remembrance of ALLAH (Acts of Worship). Whosoever does that, then they are the losers. (Qur'an Al-Munafiqun 63:9). Death is a harsh and fearful reality faced by everyone who lives. No one has the power to avoid it, nor does anyone around the dying person have the ability to prevent it. It is something, which happens every moment and is encountered by the old and the young, the rich and the poor, the strong and the weak. They are all the same because there is no plan or means of escaping it, no power, no means of intercession, no way to prevent it, nor to delay it, which shows that indeed it comes from One having tremendous power so that the human is helpless in this regard and can only submit...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 14th day of Dhul Hijjah (Thursday 15th August, 2019). GOOD LEADERSHIP CAN ONLY BE ACHIEVED THROUGH PATIENCE AND CERTAINTY. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALLAH who is free from all imperfections, has informed us that good leadership is obtained through patience (sabr) and certainty (yaqeen). The Exalted said: And I have made from among them (His Creation), leaders, giving guidance under My Command, when they were patient and believed with certainty in My Signs. [Soorah as-Sajdah (32):24]. Therefore, it is by patience and certainty that leadership in the religion is obtained. This means that whatever position you are offered, you must be patient  and have strong faith in ALLAH to guide you through regardless of what position it is even parents on their children, supervisors and managers at work, imams in our masaajids, husbands on wives etc. Firm faith in ALLAH through patience in whatever happens is the source of successful end....
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 13th day of Dhul Hijjah (Wednesday 14th August, 2019). MORAL ADVICE. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As Muslims, let's strive to Surround ourselves with good practising Muslims  who are always advising us to be conscious of ALLAH. They are our only True Friends in this Life and in the Hereafter. Not everybody is out there to judge you, there are some who want the best for you and want to help you get into Al-Jannah, value them. Don't blame them to be Judgemental. The one to tell you your faults is your true friend. Indeed, a friend who doesn't care about your Aakhirāh (hereafter) is not really your friend. Sometimes the hardest person for you to correct is yourself. There is no shame in being wrong, the shame is in choosing to stay on the wrong path. Learn to say I'm sorry and seek forgiveness from ALLAH regularly and consistency. Whatever takes you NEAR to ALLAH, takes you AWAY from Hellfire. Whatever takes you AWAY from ALLA...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 12th day of Dhul Hijjah (Tuesday 13th August, 2019). PRIDE AND ARROGANCE ARE ONLY TOOLS FOR LIFE DESTRUCTION. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Nothing in life is worth fighting for aside striving to build our relationship with our CREATOR, ALLAH. Always remember that your best clothes is someone's rag, your account balance is someone's donation at a function, your girl friend/boy friend or fiance/fiancee' is someone's Ex. Every single prostitute you see in a hotel or on the street at night was at some point in time a virgin. So what is the squabble all about? Life is too short to feel bigger or better than anybody. We are all tuned live to death. Nothing can save us from it. I hate to see people who Brag about wealth, beauty, intelligence, level of education, fame and material possessions. There's nothing you've achieved in life that no one else has never gotten. There's only one thing that is worth bragging...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 11th day of Dhul Hijjah (Monday 12th August, 2019). REWARDS, DEEDS and INTENTIONS. THE BEAUTY of ISLAM. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH peace and blessings be upon him, said that a person who intended to do a good deed, and didn’t do it, ALLAH (SWT) will write one good deed in their record, and if we actually do it, then ALLAH (SWT) will add 10 good deeds. That too is not the limit. The number may reach 700 times rewards and beyond subject to Allah’s will base on our intentions and sincerity. And if a person intended to commit a bad deed, but didn’t do it, ALLAH (SWT) will add one good deed to his record [for refraining from doing it], and if he did commit it, then only one sin will be added to his history sheet. [Bukhari & Muslim]. ALLAHU AKBAR. Alhamdulillah. In this tradition the Prophet (S.A.W) had made us aware about the kindness, mercy and blessings of ALLAH (SWT). ALLAH is the Supreme Sovereign ...
SPECIAL EID DAY REMINDER. Yaumul Ahad, 10th day of Dhul Hijjah (Sunday, 11th August). SUNNAH WAY OF EIDUL ADHAR. LETS LEARN AND SHARE TO OTHERS PLEASE. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi wa sallam) delivering a khutbah saying: “The first thing to be done on this day (first day of Eid-ul-Adha) is to pray; and after returning from the prayer we slaughter our sacrifices (in the name of ALLAH), and whoever does so, he has acted according to our sunnah.  (Kitaabul-‘Eidayn, Bukhari).   Eid-ul-Adhar is celebrated on the 10th through 12th day of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th month of the lunar calendar. Many of the rituals related to the Eid directly commemmorate the sacrifices of  Ibrâhîm, Abraham (alayhis-salaam) and his family for the sake of ALLÂH.  On the way to the Eid prayer, while waiting for it and on the way back from the prayer one should recite the following takbeer as much as possible: Allaahu akbar - Allaahu akbar – Laa ilaaha illal...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt,  Yawm Arafah, 9th day of Dhul Hijjah (Saturday 10th August, 2019). TODAY IS THE DAY OF ARAFAH BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. AlhamdulilLah for blessing us with this blessed day of the year. Today is EID day for those performing Hajj and also Arafah day for us to gain huge rewards for any good acts of worship. On this blessed day, there are lots of acts of worship to gain lots of rewards especially dua and zikir. I will want to share other acts of worship to help us especially sisters in their monthly cycle. Dua is one of the most important acts of worship to earn us lots of rewards. The Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) said: “Verily supplication is worship.” [At-Tirmidhi]. It is indeed the heart of all our worship to call upon ALLAH, speak to HIM, and direct our hearts, minds, actions, pursuits and requests to HIM alone. On this blessed day it will be better to be in the masjid most of the time for zikir and dua. Sisters in t...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 8th day of Dhul Hijjah (Friday 9th August, 2019). WHO IS YOUR FRIEND AND HOW DOES HE OR SHE INFLUENCE YOU POSITIVELY TOWARDS ALLAH. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. I'm sure most of us has noticed that whenever you are with well mannered and mature people who fear Allah, automatically your manners become greater, and you become closer to their level of faith and maturity. However, when you are with people who are still immature and don't have the best of manners and faith, your manners, faith and level of maturity also drops without you actually realizing it. The way it works is amazing. Your friends will influence you in a dramatic way whether you like it or not. It’s not a hypothesis, nor is it a theory; it’s a law or fact. Let's be careful with whom we go out with, who you chat with, and who you gift your companionship to. Because whether they are good people or not, they will always gift you back some of their manners. If...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 7th day of Dhul Hijjah (Thursday 8th August, 2019). THE WAYS Of A BELIEVER. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Are the Traditions (Sunnah) mandatory, conclusive and binding? Or, can a Muslim ignore or reject them? To make clear that adherence to the path of the believers is obligatory, the Qur’an itself says: "And whoso opposeth the Messenger after the guidance (of ALLAH) hath been manifested unto him, and followeth other than the believers' way, ALLAH appoint for him that unto which he himself hath turned, and expose him unto Hell - a hopeless journey's end." (Qur’an 4:115). This warning to those who follow a way other than the " believers" way is indeed stern. They have been condemned as deserving of the penalty of Fire. What then is the believers' way? Are the sayings and deeds of the Prophet (sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam) (i.e. the Sunnah and the Traditions) to be considered conclusive as a source of l...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaă, 6th day of Dhul Hijjah (Wednesday 7th August, 2019). ARGUING IN ISLAM. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Arguments over issues in the religion of Islam should be avoided as much as possible. Disputing and debating theological, legal, or historical matters will often lead to the hardening of hearts, bad feelings, and even hatred. As such, the Prophet has warned us that the nations before us went astray due to their indulgence in argumentation. Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: *No people go astray after being guided except that they indulge in arguments*. _Then the Prophet recited the verse_: *They strike an example for you only to argue. Rather, they are a quarrelsome people*. (43:58). Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3253. We should leave arguments aside even if we are certain our position is correct and the others are upon falsehood. The Prophet has guaranteed a house in Paradise for those who avoid ar...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 5th day of Dhul Hijjah (Tuesday 6th August, 2019). Enjoying Good and Forbidden Evil is a collective obligations. BismilLah Muslims at the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), his Sahabah (Companions of the Prophet) and the Salaf (righteous predecessors) respected this obligation and carried it out in the best manner. Certainly, we the later generations desperately need this obligation to be fulfilled more than the first ones due to prevalence of ignorance, lack of knowledge and people’s negligence of this mandatory matter. Currently, the matter has become more serious and dangerous since evil, corruption and propagators of falsehood prevail to an unbelievable extent, against the scarcity of callers to goodness in most countries and in most family homes. Therefore, ALLAH (Glorified be HE) ordered and urged Muslims to enjoin good and forbid evil, giving it precedence over eemaan in the Ayah (Qur’anic verse) of Surah Al-Imran, whi...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 4th day of Dhul Hijjah (Monday 5th August, 2019).  IMPACT OF ISLAMIC KNOWLEDGE IN LIFE. BismilLaah. ALLAAH created human and provided him or her with the tools for acqruiring knowledge, namely hearing, sight and wisdom. ALLAAH says: “And ALLÂH has brought you out from the wombs of your mothers while you know nothing. And HE gave you hearing, sight, and hearts that you might give thanks. [al-Nahl 16:78]. Islam is the religion of knowledge. The first aayah of the Qur’aan to be revealed enjoined reading which is the key to knowledge. ALLAAH says: “Read or Recite! In the Name of your Lord Who has created (all that exists). ALLAH has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous. Who has taught (the writing) by the pen. HE has taught man that which he knew not”[al-‘Alaq 96:1-5]. In Islam, knowledge comes before action; there can be no action without knowledge. Do not do anyth...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 3rd day of Dhul Hijjah (Sunday 4th August, 2019). POSITIVE THINKING IS FROM ALLAH AND NEGATIVE FROM SATAN. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. AlhamdulilLah for guiding us into Islamic ways of life which is the ONLY way to Paradise says Allah. As Muslims, Our thoughts have a powerful ability to determine our feelings and emotional states and ultimately affect how we behave, for better or worse. Islam teaches us to direct the act reflection (tafakkur), or deep thought, towards the signs of ALLAH, the names and attributes of ALLAH, to HIS blessings and wonders, to hope in the Hereafter, and to optimism. By controlling our thought processes in a positive manner, we can increase the effectiveness of our prayers and worship as well as relieve ourselves from the anger, depression, and anxieties that worldly thoughts induce.
