Imaam Abu Huraira (may ALLAH be pleased with him) reported ALLAH'S Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: A servant says, My wealth. my wealth, but out of his wealth three things are only his: whatever he eats and makes use of or by means of which he dresses himself and it wears out or he gives as charity, and this is what he stored for himself (as a reward for the Hereafter), and what is beyond this (it is of no use to you) because you are to depart and leave it for other people. (Sahih Muslim, Book 55, Hadith 6). Let's invest our little savings into the ways of ALLAH such as supporting orphans, support In building Mosques and Islamic Schools, Wells for Communities in need of drinking water, supporting our relatives and those in need etc. These things are our true savings which can benefit us when we die. We don't know when death would knock in us so why saving so much in the bank which will not benefit you instead of saving it with ALLAH? I don't want to hear any BUT, let's trust ALLAH and save our money with HIM through the few mentioned charity works. ALLAH actually mentioned in the qur'an these things I mentioned above and more of such are actually a beautiful loan to ALLAH and HE will pay us back when we die. What a beautiful loan indeed. May ALLAH (Ar-Razzaaq, The Provider/ Sustainer) aid us to be able to use our income for charity works purely to please HIM not for show off like those who do that just to buy political votes or to be seen.
