THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaathah, 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1440, (Tuesday, 12th February, 2019). THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SUPEREROGATORY (Sunnah and Nafl) SALAAT (Prayers). BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Sunnah Salaat are voluntary prayers which were prayed by the Messenger of ALLAH (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), and thus they become his (saw's) Sunnah for us. If one prays them, he will earn a huge reward from ALLAH Subhaanah; and if one does not pray them, there is no sin but if one intentionally decide I'm not praying them that's sinful bcs it's same as rejecting what the messenger encouraged. The most that can be said of one who does not pray the Sunnah prayers is that he lost a great opportunity to earn huge rewards from ALLAH and to perfect his or her obligatory Salaat. The Sunnah or Nawaafil (supererogatory prayers), have been legislated to make up for any deficiencies or unknown errors left in the performance of Fard salaah (obligatory prayers). In Salaah, there are virtues that are not found in any other form of worship. Abu Hurairah may ALLAH be pleased with him reports that the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: "The first thing that the people will be called to account for on the Day of Resurrection will be the 5x obligatory Salaat. Our Lord will say to the Angels, although HE knows better: 'Look into the (Fard) Salaah of my servant to see if he observed it perfectly or been negligent in it. So if he observed it perfectly it will be recorded to his credit, but if he had been negligent in it in any way, ALLAH would say: 'See if My servant has any supererogatory prayers. Then if he has any supererogatory prayers (sunnah prayers), ALLAH would say: 'Make up the deficiency in My servant's obligatory prayer with his supererogatory prayers.' Thereafter all his actions will be examined in like manner. Related by Imam Abu Dawud so let's strive to be offering the sunnah salaats which are 2 rakaats before Fajir, 4 before Dhuhur, 2 after Dhuhur, 2 after Magrib and 2 after Ishai and also witir. There are also 4 rakaats before Asr if you can. May ALLAH (Al-Hayyu and Al-Qayyuum, The Living and the Maintainer of Life) aid us to be able to emulate our beloved messenger of ALLAH and offer our sunnah Salaat along side the obligatory Salaat and protect us from any satanic influences. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul ahad, 11th day of Shawwal (Sunday 23rd May 2021). * _ This may not be true story from a friend but very true and sad reality of our modern world _ * . BismilLah. “The house where I lived was about to be seized, just because I could not pay the rent. I tried to get help from all relatives I know but all saying they don't have so I posted my situation on Facebook looking for help, but all I could get is 2 "I like" and zero comment. So I sent 250 messages to my contact list requesting a loan of N5000. Unfortunately only 10 people responded. 6 out of 10 said they could not help me. And only 1 out of 4 who promised to help me and gave me some money less than I needed. The other 3 gave me no excuse and never answered my calls. In the end, I was ejected. I became homeless.   THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 29th day of Rajab, 1445AH (Saturday, 10th February 2024). SOME PROPHETIC TEACHINGS BEFORE GOING TO BED. Bismillah. Before climbing onto bed anytime of the day or night, dust the bed thrice with the corner of any clothe. Clean your teeth with Miswaak if possible or with brush and paste. Be in a state of wuduu. Sleep on the right side of your body facing the Qibla with the right hand underneath the head like a pillow and with the knees slightly bent.  Recite Aayatul Kursy and the last three chapters (Al-Ikhlaas, Al-Falaq, An-Naas) of the Quran, dry blow air to your palms then wipe over your entire body as much as possible, beginning with your head and face and then all parts of the body, do this 3 times if you can or atleast once whenever you are feeling lazy like myself sometimes😊.
