THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YaumulJumuat, 10th day of SAFAR 1440, (Friday 19th October, 2018). PARADISE AND ITS ADORNMENTS ON SALE. SHARE TO OTHERS PLEASE. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
Imam Abu Dawuud May Allah be pleased with him narrated in one of his authentic ahadith collections that our beloved Messenger of Allah peace and blessings of Allah be upon him said: “If any Muslim clothes a Muslim when he/she is naked or in need, Allah will clothe him with some green garments of Paradise; if any Muslim feeds a Muslim when he is hungry, Allah will feed him with some of the fruits of Paradise; and if any Muslim gives a Muslim drink when he is thirsty, Allah will give him some of the pure wine which is sealed to drink.”
Are we getting as excited about it as we do about a clearance sale at our favourite Market? If not, then there is something wrong with our eeman. Our Imam Ali (radi Allahu anhu) said that if he were to see Paradise with his own eyes he would not long for it more than he already longs for it. Nor would he by seeing Jahannum with his own eyes fear it more than he already does. This shows us the level of belief the Sahabah had in the words of Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). This hadith is an assurance from Allah that whatever we do good for Allah sake if not for show off then we shouldn't even be thinking of life insurance or property insurance due to fear bcs Allah is sufficient for us. Instead of paying monthly premium for all kinds of insurance policies which are optional, give that money to the needy and tell Allah that you are doing so for HIS sake so that HE can take care of you, your family and property in order to gain it's rewards as sadaqatul jaariya when we die. That should be our focus in life.
Please remember today is Friday as such we should remember to prepare well for it by performingghusul, shaving and cutting our nails etc, recite suuratul kahf, send more salutations to the prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam and go early to masjid dressed as we do for Eid.
May ALLAH aid us to be able to help each other for His sake. Aameen.
