THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumu Al-thalaatha, 22nd day of Muharram 1440, (Tuesday 2nd October, 2018). GENERAL ADVISE FOR ALL PARENTS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. What’s the best advice you would give to your son/daughter, especially as they enter into adulthood? What are the most important life lessons you want to pass on to them? There is a need to deeply think about the wisdoms we pass on to our children that should help them perceive and handle life adequately. We don’t have to look far away to get profound tips on doing that. ALLAH ALMIGHTY has already given us a great example to follow in the Qur’an in the story of the wise Luqman alaiyhi salaam and his son. In the Chapter titled “Luqman” (Chapter 31), Allah almighty says: “Alif, Lam, Meem. These are verses of the wise Book, as guidance and mercy for the doers of good. Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.” (Qur’an 31: 1-5) ALLAH started the chapter that narrate the story of Luqman A.S. giving advice to his son saying “these are verses of the wise Book”. The fact that ALLAH Almighty HIMSELF highlighted how the words of Luqman A.S. which will follow in the surah-carry essential wisdom for success in this life and the next makes us want to ponder on what Luqman said and how it may be beneficial for our own children. So let’s recall what he said. Our grand dad Luqman’s advice started with: Lesson 1: True monotheism “O my son, do not associate [anything] with ALLAH. Indeed, association with HIM is great injustice.” (31: 13). Luqman A.S started his advice with the ultimate lesson that summarizes one’s purpose in life. It is the first and greatest lesson of all: true monotheism and belief in the One Creator of all mankind. Why is this important? Sometimes, we let our children be enslaved or overburdened by the desire to please certain people in life; The reality is, one will never be able to earn the acceptance of everyone, and this may be very depressing especially to young adults/teens who seek the approval of their peers and those around them; and if they didn’t get it, they’d think they’re “losers” and start retreating or harming themselves. The only way to acquire this point correctly is to study Islam properly. We must ensure our children obtain good level Islamic education as a matter of priority than any other education. If you or your children are less in Islamic knowledge and high in other education then we must start crying and get back to basics if indeed we want to achieve great success on earth and the hereafter. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 30th day of Rajab 1446AH, Thursday. 30th Jan. 2025). MEANING OF ALLAH CREATING HUMANS IN HIS OWN IMAGE.  BismilLah. Unfortunately, other faiths have made a serious mistake in trying to compare The CREATOR, ALLAH Azzawajal with HIS Creation human beings in physical appearance, and that's blasphemy and serious error  Sheikh AbuAmina, in one of his articles, explained that, in Islam, we believe that all people have been created in the “image” of ALLAH Azzawajal. But what does this mean? ALLAH Azzawajal is the creator of everything, including all people. That people are in the “image of ALLAH Azzawajal” means they are in the form that HE, ALLAH Azzawajal has chosen and honored for them, not that they resemble ALLAH Azzawajal in physical appearance or share in the Divine Essence. Just as we say a righteous person is the “servant of ALLAH” and a mosque is the “house of ALLAH” as a way to honor them, likewise is it an added dignity for pe...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat and Yaumul Aashuura. 10th day of Muharram, 1445AH (Friday, 28th July, 2023). SPECIAL EID DAY FOR US ALL. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum WarahmatulLah to you all. AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day. Today mark the day when ALLAH granted Musah alayhi salaam victory over Fir'awn. Today mark the day ALLAH humiliated HIS worse enemy on earth Fir'awn for his disbelief in ALLAH and claiming he was ALLAH. We are all fasting on this blessed day seeking forgiveness from ALLAH for our sins from last year till date as the Prophet sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam recommended.  Those who are unable to fast can still do much to earn lots of rewards especially our sisters and daughters in their monthly cycle. You can recite lots of azkaar and give sadaqah with your intention to seek forgiveness from ALLAH. Please remember today is Friday lets strive to go to Masjid early and also remember to send salutations to our...
