THIRD REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn 5th/6th day of Ramadan (Monday 21st May). I'm a high school student and have my exams coming up so I'm not able to study when I observe fast. Only after I break my fast I'm able to study only a bit. Should I not care about my marks and stuff and fully concentrate on my religion? Is it OK if I keep these fasts after Ramadhan? Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Generally, fasting should not interfere with your studies in any significant way, for even if you feel a little tired to study during the day you can still make up for it during the night. Anyway, most students prefer to study late at night. Moreover, by fasting, you stand to gain greater blessings and you can count on the help of ALLAH and HIS infinite graces by virtue of fasts. So don't look at fasting as a burden. Rather, it is indeed a powerful spiritual and moral boost. In fact, you may do well to remember that of the great victories that Muslims had achieved happened during Ramadhan. Therefore, if only you were to open your heart to be receptive to the graces of this month, you could fast and prepare for your exam at the same time. If, however, because of your specific health condition, you find yourself extremely weak and unable to study at all while fasting, then in that case you fall under the category of those who are sick, and you may in such a case, skip your fasting, and fast later after your exams. Remember such a concession is granted only in exceptional cases because of health reasons. Ask yourself sincerely whether you fall in this category or not. If you are, go ahead and make use of the concession granted by ALLAH. Otherwise, you should fast and pray to ALLAH to make things easy for you. You should know that only ALLAH can make things easy; so never forget to pray to ALLAH. You may offer the following du'a as often as you can: Allaahumma laa sahla illaa maa ja'altahu sahlan wa anta taj'alu al-hazana idhaa shi'ta sahlan (O Allah! There is nothing easy unless if You make it easy; so make this task of mine easy for me, for You can make a difficult task easy-if You wish). This is a general advice to all students and those who uses excuses of work etc to escape Fasting. Anyway, please remember to make dua for me just before you break your fast. May Allah keep guiding us all and aid us through our little efforts to please HIM. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...

ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
